Kasa Edison House South End Dilworth Charlotte

Charming neighborhood, full size fridge and outdoor patio!

This was my 1st and last stay at Edison House. It is absolutely NOT on the same level of the other Kasa properties in Charlotte...yet they're the same price. I stayed in the 1 bdrm queen suite. It was very cute, it appeared to be well appointed; a closer look reveals its all looks, but no practicality. Very thin walls; when you're in the bedroom you can hear the water in the pipes everytime someone flushes in the public restroom in the hall. I'm a heavy sleeper and I was awoken at least 5 times through the night because of how loud it was. I could also here people's conversations as they walked through the hall outside of the room. There's no privacy; there aren't any blinds at any of the windows; only curtains. Since all the 1 brdm suites are on the ground level, you cant pull back the curtains unless you want to be in a fishbowl. The hotel site says the suite has AC and heat; thats a lie. There's only one small space heater w/ a fan or heat setting. No central air There's a full kitchenette with full-size fridge, 4 range cooktop,, dinnerware for four...but no dining table, only a very low coffee table and a low, tiny side table . No dishwasher-hand wash only- that's not even hygienic. No coffee machine, only an electric kettle, the photos on the site show keurigs in each room. Nowhere to put clothes except the closet. Lastly, there are 9 parking spots. Beyond that, customers ate forced to park on the grass or park on the dark streets

Super easy check in. Nice, safe neighborhood. There was always a spot for me in the parking lot. The room was tight, but perfect for my needs.

Very nice clean place in quiet neighborhood within walking distance of several restaurant. Walk to downtown is pleasant. I felt very secure and ample parking. Nice to have small kitchen to make breakfast every morning. Wi-Fi was excellent. Nice large TV with plenty of programming.

Very clean and beautifully decorated. The instructions did say the parking lot was inaccessible , but it was not blocked by the construction and it would have felt weird parking on the street in front of houses.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and had a small parking lot for guests. The virtual check-in/out made the whole process so easy. Only a short drive to Southend!

Stayed here multiple times and loved both rooms. Kitchenette is so convenient with everything you need and the free off-street parking saves you $25-$75 over Uptown hotels. Love the Kasa model with the codes, etc.

Enjoyed the two night stay. First time at this property. 3rd overall with Kasa. Being on the 2nd floor near the stairs is very noisy and it was hard to sleep one night. Overall location was great, the room was great and stocked. Parking was so easy and not over crowded. Even though you could not control the temp, they had a big fan in the room which i appreciated. Great stay.

Great little place well worth a night or two & with all the amenities. Very clean & tidy in a quiet area & only 20 mins drive from the Airport. Would defo stay here again if in Charlotte. With large luggage as us, would suggest you request a ground floor (1st for Americans) accommodation, as no lifts/elevators & the stairs are t easy. Still give it a 5/5 though

We had an amazing experience at this property! We were visiting Charlotte for the first time, so we wanted to stay somewhere close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. It’s about a 5 min drive to literally everything. It’s also walking distance from a few restaurants and a Starbucks which we loved. We will definitely stay here again in the future. They have a small parking lot available to park in and ample street parking as well, so we never stressed about parking!

The walls and floors at this location were extremely thin. We felt very uncomfortable after being told that we were being too loud. When I asked for elaboration, I was told that my toddler was making too much noise. This was definitely not the case. Also, we were told that we aren't allowed to make noise between the hours of 10p-8a.m. I had to get up at 6a.m. for work. These demands were completely unreasonable, and I will surely never recommend Kasa to anyone else. It was the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had away from home. Additionally, there was no dishwasher and most of the dishes were dirty upon arrival to the apartment.

Worked perfect for what we needed. Slept there. Very clean. Simple in and out. A little cramped but we didn’t really hang out there. We loved it for what we needed.

This is the first time we've stayed at a Kasa property. Instructions and check-in were incredibly easy. The room had everything we needed - it was very clean and well-appointed. This is now my go-to lodging location for anytime I visit this area!

Wonderful property and fantastic location in a trendy Charlotte neighborhood! Very comfortable furnishings and nice kitchen and bath. Immaculate and functional. Very responsive team via text message who were so nice when I couldn’t find the light switch! I really appreciated the privacy. Also great off street parking. All pictures online are accurate which is appreciated! Will stay again next time I visit family.

Too small - no place to eat nor set up a work station - smaller than a hotel room

This property was awesome. Clean, easy to check in and out, nice amenities, very safe. I only gave it a 4 because the last night was not good. The property has central heating and the heater was on all day and night. There was a portable heater/ac… but it was not enough to cool off the room. We tried to even open the window with no success. We could not turn on the fan without turning on the light. So that didn’t work. Needless to say, we had a miserable nights sleep. But other than that, everything was great.

Small room with a kitchenette and full refrigerator. Nicely done. The room only had one chair that was more of a decoration that sitting and there was no usable table other than the night stand tables.

It was just what we were looking for: a relatively inexpensive place to sleep while visiting our son and daughter-in-law who live within walking distance. Only issue was... we were on the ground floor and curtains did not cover the entirety of the window causing privacy and light issues. I would suggest this be resolved.

The noise level was somewhat high, as an example other doors opening and closing outside the unit. The temperature cannot be controlled individually and that was my biggest gripe. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and toiletries were provided. Overall nice place

Great property - excellent location. Will definitely be back IF we can request an upstairs unit. (Could hear guests walking above us) AND room 005 desperately needs a new mattress. Very uncomfortable - we both kept rolling to the middle.

I liked the modern and minimalist decoration. Next time, I’d rather stay on the second floor instead than the first floor, because everytime someone flushes the bathroom or shower you can hear the pipes and water

Good place, wish I could control my room temperature.

Never got to stay in it due to personal illness and no consideration for partial refund was given. A well organized runaround so consumers have no option to speak directly to a person when these problems happen. Very sad…

No complaints. Everything went smoothly. One caveat: check in is automated and you need codes they send you by text message so you better have a functioning phone.

The airports shut down all inbound flights due to snow the state issued a extreme weather advisory” (which doesn’t happen there) and instead of Kasa offering a credit/refund or any option to move our reservation; they blatantly said no refunds, sorry for the inconvenience.

Clean, comfortable with the essentials. A little noisy but they provided a sound machine, which was a nice touch. Great communication.

Thought this was going to be a disaster of a trip - ended up quite surprised. Was not thrilled having to use the 'app' and several issues that popped up - took longer than would be ideal. That being said, once I arrived at the house, all pain seemed worth it. Cleanest location I've stayed at in months. Clean modern interior with SO MANY amenities. And value is out of this world. I wanted to hate it.. I can't. Amazing location. Amazing hotel.

Easy checkin

This was my first time at a hotel with a virtual front desk, and I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of checking in and out.

I arrived on Monday for a business meeting on Tuesday. It was a new experience because there was no "personal" desk concierge service, rather it was all virtual. Nevertheless, it was seamless. I was in my room within less than 10 minutes of arriving. I enjoyed the amenities and the decor was very modern feeling. I slept well and would stay here again.

Beautiful and spacious room! The location was perfect only a mile from southend with some nice restaurants a couple minutes away. Within walking distance to freedom park.

Kasa Edison was an amazing find! The room had all the amenities needed and was in a perfect location to the city, by car or by walking. We will definitely be booking again with Kasa Edison.

Situated in a prime location. Under 10min away from absolutely anything you may need or want to do. I went to see if Charlotte, NC was somewhere I'd like to live. I'm sold. And my Kasa Edison experience played a large part In that decision. Staff was very helpful and attentive even though there is no on-site staff. Room and grounds were exactly as depicted in the photos. Walls are paper thin so you hear EVERYTHING (footsteps, discussions, opening/closing of doors, etc. And in my case, the neighboring room's karaoke aspirations.) Need a place to stay in Charlotte, this should be in your top 2 list.

First time staying at Kasa Edison House and it was great. In a safe, beautiful neighborhood with many amenities within walking distance. The bed could’ve been a bit more comfortable but overall it was a very good experience!
