Hotel donna Francesca

For arrival we were told somebody would be there up till 8:00 p.m. but nobody was there. We had an issue trying to get in as I could not connect to internet and they had sent messages which I could not pick up after a 30-hour trip. I would say that was the most disappointing service was the communication. No complaints on the staff. Food is great. Sheets don't get changed and we were there for four nights. It's a great location. Easy to get to the station. Laundromat is a few minutes away. We were able to walk everywhere. I would recommend it. If you don't like small lifts and you can't walk stairs, it's not ideal.

Very nice place with a European breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Room was clean and the AC worked well

Had an asthma attack due to the confined space, scented cleaning products used and the heavy construction going on in arms length of the only small window within 5 minutes of checking in. I kindly asked if I could please have a different room. The gentleman at the front desk called the owner and put me on with her mid- attack - wheezing and coughing. I tried to explain the situation and she became angry with me 👀 she told me I would be fine. She said she owns 9 other hotels and this is how it is. Then she said you should have told me you had asthma. I asked if I could stay at one of her other hotels (thinking she may be offering me a solution), she laughed then got angry and said no I’d be fine. Terrible situation. I slept propped up by the window once the construction left. -100/10.

I arrived at 6:10 PM on a Sunday, but the door was locked and there was no one at the reception. I called the hotel, and after several unsuccessful attempts I finally got through. The person I spoke to had very poor English, which made the conversation very difficult. She kept saying that the door access code had been sent to me, but it had not. After several more calls, the door was finally opened automatically, but then I was only able to enter the reception area and still didn’t know which room I had been assigned. More calls followed before I finally received the check-in information via SMS. Nothing had been sent to my email, SMS, or Hotel.com prior to arrival, even though they had promised it would be. In addition, I had arranged airport pickup through the hotel, but that was also a failure. There is only one exit after baggage claim, and the agreement was that the driver would wait there holding a sign with my name. Unfortunately, he was sitting somewhere completely different than agreed, which resulted in about one hour of confusion upon arrival.
