Quick check in once I was inside at reception. Very quiet room within easy walking distance of many places to eat. Not a lot of off-street parking.

Our apartment was spacious and modern with great water views. We loved it! Secure underground parking wasn’t available. Apparently you have to request this when booking. On road parking was easily available outside the property.

My daughter & I stayed here one night after a 6 hour drive. Barely made 5:00 check in. Free parking right by the back entrance. Recycling is there but not advertised. We did not use any facilities and did not shower there so not sure if they provided shampoo, conditioner or wash. There is NO laundry on site as advertised which was a huge disappointment for us. We had to drive to a local coin wash and then sit there for 2 hours. This was the main reason we stayed here so be warned. We didn’t walk around the area since we were off doing laundry all night. Our neighbor had the TV blaring and we could hear showers from around us. There is a cafe on the first floor. Would not stay here again.

The apartment was great. It was perfectly clean and in really good condition. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. It’s located just a short walk from downtown. The only downside was that the pool was really cold. Actually to cold for my kids to swim, and they swim in the ocean in Northern Europe with no problems.

Beautiful unit, comfortable, great view. Well located near shops and restaurants. Only issue was that onsite parking was not guaranteed.

The room was ok and in a convenient area but the staff member although pleasant provided no detail about where the lifts where and that the room was through a door with the room number and then inside was marked A and B. There was also no onsite parking available and for the size of the hotel it was a little strange that the only parking was about 20 outdoor carparks. That we full and people were being directed there only to pull in, drive to the end and the reverse back onto the main street. The room was through

Spacious apartment for a family. Convenient location. Only downside was the pool and gym opening hours being limited.

Everything was really great exept the pool. It was so much chemicals in the water and no shower by the pool. A part from that, a very good and clean hotel!

Was given a twin room when we booked a king room. Gym was open ridiculous hours of 9am-5pm which was useless for us apart from one occasion Says laundry facilities on site but apparently not for one bed apartments which we weren’t told and was falsely advertised Had to request towels every day, why don’t you just replace them, everyone needs to wash daily? Pool closes one day for ‘maintenance’ Stay elsewhere so you get what you pay for

Very nicely appointed and modern apartment. Spacious with everything you need including a washer and dryer! Easy after hours checkin process as well. Very close location to Magnetic Island ferry and our apartment had a nice view out to the marina. Good value for money. Would stay again

The property had good amenities including a washer and dryer unit, and TV. However, during our two day stay, we found a cockroach in the kitchen and the staff at this property has been avoiding several attempts at communication with them about this issue.

If I’m honest, the place needs some maintenance. The fan was almost going to fall off the ceiling. The air conditioner was so loud. One of the switches in the bathroom didn’t work and the lamp had wiring that was a danger for electrocution. There was a lot of mould in the shower. So it really needs a bit of a revamp. It did the job but wasn’t great. The staff were great a check in

Allure has everything you need for a pleasant stay, everything was so clean and shiny.

The property is showing its age. It is worn out and is in urgent need of a refurbish. The master mattress was lumpy and sagging. All the air conditioners were noisy, dripping. The carpet was worn and plenty of mould in the wet areas. I’m sure it was a premium stay 8 years ago, but it’s had a hard life and no replacements since.

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. However, considering the price we paid for the room, the overall condition was quite underwhelming.There were several maintenance and safety concerns that impacted our experience. The living room walls had visible putty patches that had not been sanded or properly finished. The couch was in poor condition, with springs protruding through the cushions, which resulted in my child being injured while laying on it. Additionally, the light switches were pushed in and require repair, and the fridge light was not functioning, making visibility in the kitchen difficult, particularly at night.We also found the kitchen lacked adequate utensils and cooking equipment, which limited our ability to prepare meals comfortably. Most concerning was the main air conditioning unit, which had visible mould and had affected our health, as all of us became unwell during our stay.While we appreciate the excellent service provided by the staff, these issues significantly detracted from the overall comfort and value of the accommodation and should be addressed as a matter

The3brm apartment looked as though it was only partially cleaned. Carpets were in need of a deep shampoo with noticeable stains through out. walls had obvious marks. aircons leaked into the apartment. tv in one room with only noise no picture. patio blinds with broken sign on them, so no privacy in our lounge are from adjacent buildings due to not being able to close blinds....overall not happy at all. we were in townsville for grandaughters funeral, informed management on checkout of our concern. have msged and was told we should have notify when we first went into the room(obviously last thing on our mind at the time) would not recommend this establishment at all.

Large 2 bedroom apartment, but the whole complex and apartment needs renovation. Cracks in plaster walls, carpet needs replacing and bed and pillows need replacing. And the worst was a rusty air conditioner that was so noisy.

The apartment we had was so spacious and with a nice view! Everything was super clean! I would definitely stay there again!

The studio was particularly clean, the carpet being noticeably soft and lovely. The comfort was average as the bed was too firm for my liking and the air-conditioner was hit and miss.

The 2 bedroom apartment was a very nice stay, very clean and had a lovely view. The room was very convenient for 4 people and very spacious.

Spacious three-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with full kitchen and 2 balconies with lovely views from each, at either end. Main bedroom had nice ensuite and king sized bed and other 2 bedrooms were a reasonable size too. After-hours check-in was quite easy, following the instructions to the lock-box. Only a few hundred metres walk to Palmer Street pubs, restaurants, cafes etc and walkable to the stadium and the city/Cowboys Leagues Club. Good for a group or family.

It was so small, hostile and terribly different to advertised we assumed we were going to a nice open room with lounge area but I stead it was a tiny box!!! No lounge are, lounge chairs just 2 very old sunken single beds pushed together to make a queen. Not appreciated!!

A one night stay so maybe not a fair review, the room layout was two rooms (A & B) separate, behind one door, so we could here everything our nextdoor neighbour did. Reception hours weren't overly clear.

The room was good and beds comfy but the pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable.

Room was tidy, I had after hours check in and everything was as explained which made it super easy. The only downside was the room had no balcony but when booking all images appeared to show rooms with one so that was a little disappointing.

Spacious and perfect for a family of four. Nicely decorated and lots of light. Big balcony with plenty of space for dining. Kitchen has hot plates, if you are bringing your own groceries. View from 502b was nice, probably awesome if it wasn’t raining cats and dogs. Massive TV and good internet speed.

I couldn't check in, I was sent no information, the app gave me no option and no one answered the emergency phone so I had to spend an extra $60 booking somewhere else at midnight after trying to get in for over an hour. I've been refunded and they've apologised but it wasn't a great experience for my daughter and I.

Staff really helped us out when my wife had to stay an extra day to assist with ill family. Can’t fault the service or the room quality.

As we were a late checkin (late by under 1 hr), we were told that we were supposed to recieve an email with details on how to get our key, but sadly we didnt. We sent messages and called to confirm this, but got no reply. When we arrived, we called the after hours number on the door and the fellow promptly helped us over the phone. It was a little time consuming due to their confidentiality policies (which is good - but bad when you are running late and want to get into your room quickly). We were only given 1 key, so as my husband needed to go grab our stuff from the car in the rain, I had to sit in the dark as everything turned off and there was very limited light. We sent a message but no reply. The room was very small and musky; but the bed was very comfortable. I thought (by the photos and description), we'd get a balcony and a view of the mountain; but we only got a stuffy small room with a window, facing a daycare centre and the road. Luckily we were only staying for 1 night. We were told upon departure (she was a lovely lady), because we chose 1 bedroom, this is what you get. P.s. As we were returning from our event to Allure, we spoke to a gentleman. He too got frustrated because he too was a late checkin with no email (same day as us), and noone answered his calls. Apparently he was there for a while at the front door. He didnt know what to do, because he too didnt recieve an email. We felt his frustration and pain. We dont think we will stay there again.

The location is great. Very close to Palmer street restaurants and pubs. Also close to the stadium. The hotel is a little old and tired. The bed was a little too firm and could feel springs in places. Our bathroom light stopped working twice. There is no way to contact reception from the room or if it's not between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

Terrible service. Were not informed of amenities, how to use card passes etc. Complained about our room was dirty, air conditioner didn’t work - doors were damaged and walls were dirty. Checked out a day early and was told a manager would call us. It’s been 4 days and have not been contacted.

We stayed for two nights with no hot water. Reception said they would send a maintenance man to fix it. He never arrived. We went to Reception again after waiting hours for help and it was closed. The next morning Reception still closed. No hot shower for us day number two. I complained by email after checking out, only to be told we didn’t put the tap on to hot. My husband is a plumber! No recompense at all but they did offer a 15% discount on my next booking. No way!

The Allure Hotel is geographically perfectly placed in South Townsville as it’s within walking distance to the food and shopping precinct in Palmer Street and the City Very safe and secure with off street parking available. Easy check in and the staff are flexible, helpful and friendly. They are very proud to be working in this Hotel. There is a fabulous cafe in the complex that serves the freshest and delicious food and coffee. Opened about 6 hours a day which is ideal. I was fortunate to have a room on the 8th floor and the view was ever changing with the highlight being the new Cowboys Bank Stadium that often at night was lit up purple. Absolutely stunning for The Stadium encapsulates the horizon. Safety is a priority in this complex and with the swipe cards for access , security was ensured Room very comfortable, clean and met our needs. Loved the separate lifts for each section and they were quiet and fast. Totally recommend The Allure for a secure and safe place to stay in wonderful Townsville.

Everything about the trip was straightforward. The booking the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean very pleasant experience.

I booked into this hotel and contacted the property to inform them I would be arriving after hours. I never received a message from the hotel about the entry code to gain access to my room. I went to the hotel endeavoured to contact hotel management - the phone rang out. Walked around and eventually contacted hotel who subsequently told by a very aggressive and rude property manager that I was not staying at the hotel . No refund from Hotels.com - worst experience ever from a " hotel representative".

Excellent location to restaurants and town

Check in was quick and easy. Lots of dining options in walking distance. Area is generally quiet. Room is very spacious and in good condition aesthetics wise. Ceiling light above desk was not working, which was an issue for someone travelling for business and needs to work after dark. Was too late to do anything about it once found out (reception closes at 5pm). Aircon in the room was also extremely loud and ceiling fan looked extremely sketchy, wobbling so much you'd feel unsafe to use it. Ended up just opening the windows.

The room was nice only had issues with a dripping air conditioner. Reported and discussed with staff. Hopefully it will be repaired for the next visitor. Great position and easy access to the city. Loved the Security and Safety of the Hotel. Free, safe parking was available. The Cafe was absolutely a delight to have coffee in. The Hotel was very clean, Office staff available and caring with their service. The view from our room was perfect.
