This was our favorite stay for our 7-day New England trip! After a hectic day exploring Vermont towns with thousands of other tourists, it was a breath of fresh air to pull into peaceful Lyme. The inn is well appointed with gorgeous gardens and sitting areas. Comfortable rooms with tasteful decor. Easy parking. The onsite restaurant is wonderful! We didn’t know to make a reservation but they offered to seat us at the bar. We got lucky and a cancellation came through, so we had a leisurely meal in the sunroom with a very kind and helpful server. There’s not much to do outside the inn, but we enjoyed strolling by the historic horse stables and down the main road after dinner. Would absolutely stay again, and next time, we’ll remember to reserve a table for dinner!

This place was amazing. We loved the beds and the large bathroom and all the updates that have been done to keep it in great shape. Flowers and garden just gorgeous and the breakfast was superb! It was actually a bit out of our way but so worth it to drive that extra distance to stay there.

Would have given a 5 but the bathroom sink was tiny and drained slowly. Also the pressure of the shower water was surprisingly too high and water was spraying out the shower head connections.

Wonderfully quiet, large and deep bathtub, dark green walls contribute to calm, carpet so clean we made sure to take off our shoes in the room. Excellent home made breakfast. Charming town.

Amazing stay here! Gorgeous grounds, friendly staff, beautifully decorated room, extremely clean, with all of the modern conveniences in a quaint inn. Loved the updated bathroom and plentiful plugs around the room. We also dined at the restaurant... it was a wonderful meal, and we truly enjoyed the most friendly and welcoming bartender, server and locals. The surrounding town is perfectly manicured. It was an idyllic first impression of New Hampshire.

I booked this room for my parents and they loved it. Quiet and clean and comfortable. They really enjoyed the breakfast at check-out. Nice selection and again very clean. The staff were friendly as well. Highly recommend!

We stayed for one night before making our way to Franconia State Park area. We arrived kind of late, but they left our keys for us and checkin was very easy. Our king size room had a sofa, tv, and very lovely antique furnishings. For breakfast, we had scones, coffee cake, biscuits and jam. They made eggs to order and bacon, and there was also fruit and cereal available. The inn is adjacent to the village green and a lovely place to stay! This was the coziest hotel experience we had on this trip and would highly recommend!!

Staff very nice and helpful. Country Market in walkable distance. No cell service in Lyme but thankfully wifi available at the Inn for wifi calling and laptop connectivity. Connectivity was spotty in my room but I found a couple better connectivity spots in or around the Inn to talk and work.

I stayed at The Lyme Inn the last two nights with my cousin and it was fabulous! Our room was beautiful with horse paintings and prints on the walls. It was quiet and peaceful. In the mornings we had some fabulous breakfasts all homemade with more than I could eat- pastry, eggs, fruit, granola, yoghurt, toasts. It was exceptional.A fabulous place to stay.

The front desk staff was friendly and the room is updated and clean. We had one of the suites which was spacious. We stayed during Dartmouth’s Homecoming weekend and was a nice distance from campus but convenient.

We arrived later than expected, and our key with instructions was waiting for us in the lobby. To our delight, we were upgraded to a lovely suite. Breakfast the next day was delightful, in a sunny, fall-decorated porch. Couldn't have been nicer. Highly recommend!

Lovely B &B in New Hampshire with good restaurant for dinner Wednesday-Sunday. Great stop when driving to and from Boston going north. 20 minutes from Hanover, Dartmouth U, and many local hiking trails. The Inn, while historic, has modern upgrades including smart TVs , numerous charging connections, some with fireplaces 4 posters and upgraded bathrooms. Great value!

The front desk staff was friendly and the room is updated and clean. We had one of the suites which was spacious. We stayed during Dartmouth’s Homecoming weekend and was a nice distance from campus but convenient.

This was our favorite stay for our 7-day New England trip! After a hectic day exploring Vermont towns with thousands of other tourists, it was a breath of fresh air to pull into peaceful Lyme. The inn is well appointed with gorgeous gardens and sitting areas. Comfortable rooms with tasteful decor. Easy parking. The onsite restaurant is wonderful! We didn’t know to make a reservation but they offered to seat us at the bar. We got lucky and a cancellation came through, so we had a leisurely meal in the sunroom with a very kind and helpful server. There’s not much to do outside the inn, but we enjoyed strolling by the historic horse stables and down the main road after dinner. Would absolutely stay again, and next time, we’ll remember to reserve a table for dinner!

I stayed at The Lyme Inn the last two nights with my cousin and it was fabulous! Our room was beautiful with horse paintings and prints on the walls. It was quiet and peaceful. In the mornings we had some fabulous breakfasts all homemade with more than I could eat- pastry, eggs, fruit, granola, yoghurt, toasts. It was exceptional.A fabulous place to stay.

Amazing stay here! Gorgeous grounds, friendly staff, beautifully decorated room, extremely clean, with all of the modern conveniences in a quaint inn. Loved the updated bathroom and plentiful plugs around the room. We also dined at the restaurant... it was a wonderful meal, and we truly enjoyed the most friendly and welcoming bartender, server and locals. The surrounding town is perfectly manicured. It was an idyllic first impression of New Hampshire.

Excellant little egg/sausage wraps! The best breakfast here I have had included the puff pastry with sausage inside? The option to have eggs is perfect, as is the bacon! High on the protein/keto scale... very nice. Please give me one chair option with handrails, as I can get up to stand, but am trained to use handrails. Best rural New England place...

This was our second stay, already looking forward to our return. It’s a beautiful New England inn with lovely rooms that are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious - have to try everything! We also love walking around the area. We have only visited in the summer but hope to return in the winter.

Beautiful property. Very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and pretty. Breakfast was so very tasty in a most delightful sun porch. Thank you Julie for a nice chat and info. The store still had canadian strawberries!!!!

the Lyme Inn was a classic new england inn with wide pine floors and a fireplace in every room. Well kept flower gardens inside a white picket fence around a patio with umbrella tables and chairs. Such charm. Updated with fire safety sprinklers and new windows for insulation, but perfectly keeping the old world charm. Staff was great and rooms were maticulously kept. Kureg coffee maker in each room, and coffee and chocolate chip cookies at the front desk. Continental breakfast was delicious, presented on the beautiful closed in front pourch. Just minutes away from several lakes.
