Really nice rooms. Loved the decor and all the treats in that room that you can purchase during your stay. They have a cozy restaurant and shop attached to the motel. Food was delicious.

The Chelsea Motel is a quant little gem to spend the night! We stepped back in time to the 60’s when we entered their restaurant/ reception area with their red and turquoise themed booths and tables. The wallpaper is a work of art. The room was so much fun with a lit ceiling that pictured a huge tree. It made us feel like we were sleeping in a tree house. The old phone and working record player sitting on retro furniture was a fabulous touch. The bathroom took us back to the luxury’s of today with a soaker tub, walk in shower, luxury soaps, and soft towels. Breakfast. Don’t forget to stay for breakfast!! You will not leave there hungry. We will return again to be pampered!!

Small, roadside motel but once inside, you realize it’s run and taken care of with lots of love and pride. All rooms are uniquely but tastefully decorated in an eclectic, vintage style. Rooms are clean. The necessary quality amenities are provided (some for a fee but the basic ones are complementary). I enjoyed the restaurant which had good live bands playing both nights that I was there. I also loved the boutique with artisanal products at the reception. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff really stood out to me. Without me asking, they picked up on me not being so keen on the room I had booked, and they offered to transfer me to another top room they had. They got it cleaned up and ready for me very late at night just to make sure I’d have the best possible stay. I was touched by their attentiveness and friendly attitude and hospitality. The dining room staff was also so welcoming. They offered me to stay for the show even if I don’t have a meal or drink. (I ended up having some snacks anyways and enjoyed the night!) Another perk is coffee/tea available all day in the main building. I would stay again if I’m visiting the Chelsea/Wakefield area.

This unique motel provided us a retro decor room which was very clean and in very good condition. The check in and access to room was all virtual which I did not care for but the motel staff worked me to find a viable solution which was very much appreciated. The coffee room was great, also in retro theme and fresh condiments for coffee and tea were provided. We enjoyed our one night stay here.

We had a one night stay after a visit to the Spa Nordik. The staff is so friendly and check-in was fully explained and easy. The room was beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. We also had access to coffee and tea whenever we liked. The restaurant served an amazing dinner and we had drinks at the bar. We will definitely stay here again!!

Loved my stay. I had the deluxe king room and loved the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the theme room and the record player with records from local artists. The bathroom was spacious and had a wonderful tub to soak in while I listened to the records. There were local products available for a fee (bathbombs, socks, head wrap and more if you want) but didn’t use any. The snacks with the minibar were great! A variety and definitely better than the usual snacks at hotels. There was a communal room with a microwave and coffee maker and more which I really appreciated too. Nordik spa was only a 10 min drive away which made it easy after my spa day. I overall loved the place and the vibe. I will definitely be back soon!

The room decor was so fun! Nostalgic, but modern! Bathroom is new and clean - lovely toiletries provided. It has been so long since I've seen an in-room mini bar and snacks (for a fee) - awesome. Also complementary tea and coffee available. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Au premier abord, la déception a été grande jusqu’à ce que nous réalisions que le style était résolument vintage. Correct mais Très encombré : pas de place pour s’assoir, une valise pas plus et pourtant beaucoup de tablettes déjà occupées par de multiples bibelots. Poussiéreux dû à l’encombrement Salle de bain renouvelé Service à la clientèle pointilleux sur les heures d’accueil. On arrive une demi-heure à l’avance. La personne est là, la porte est ouverte et elle nous demande de revenir (???) on est seul dans le motel… Somme toute correct mais soyez avisé.

Motel propre, personnel accueillant. Je m’attendais à ce que la chambre soit un peu plus grande et que le micro-ondes soit dans la chambre. La salle de bain était un coup de cœur. La douche est spacieuse et la pièce est rénovée. Le seul bémol est qu’il y avait des cheveux sur le mur de la douche quand je suis arrivée. À part ça, bon séjour où l’air climatisé murale dans la chambre était très appréciée.

Motel Chelsea is a gem and I hope more folks stay here! The attention to detail is hard to put into words- you need to make sure to look all around your room for the beauty of the styling and vintage items. Our apartment was immaculate except for the kitchen garbage can had been overlooked and had not been emptied. The bathroom was large and squeaky clean. The on site restaurant was delicious and had great service. I would stay here again and might ask that the staff include some extra info for apartment renters regarding needing to enter through an unmarked door. Any gripes are truly quite small- this place was just wonderful!

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. Pretty much everything was amazing. The entire place has a real charm and the service throughout was amazing. The rooms are super clean, comfy and well appointed. The restaurant was excellent and a huge shoutout to our server who went to great lengths to accommodate all of our special requests. The only holdback (fairly important for a hotel) is that the temperature in the room at night was far too warm and made for an uncomfortable sleep. There was no way to adjust the temperature in the room so we were left without options. We will definitely return for the restaurant but unsure about the motel unless something is done about the temperature control.

Wonderful experience at Motel Chelsea. Check-in was very easy and they provided clear and helpful instructions. The room itself was so nice and filled with helpful notes and instructions to make our stay very easy. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and they left a personal note for us which was so thoughtful! Great amenities in the room like a Dyson hairdryer, record player and fireplace. We want to come back and stay again to experience some of the fun things they seem to have on-site during the weekends like live music and the restaurant. Thanks for the great stay!!

This little motel is an unexpected gem! Beautiful rooms (with gorgeous bathroom), extremely friendly staff. We stayed in the Palms room, lots of wonderful details that made the stay extra enjoyable. The only thing not perfect was the bed and pillows were a bit hard for my liking (my husband slept well though, so this is a personal preference only). And, without a shade in the bathroom, the room was quite bright from 6am on (as the door to the bathroom is glass so lets the light in). Other than that, our stay was perfect!

AMAZING! so fun. our room had a record player, interesting books, magazine, old telephone with a surprise. The design was incredible. bathroom was beautifully renovated. So comfortable and so thoughtful. Will Definity be going back and recommending it to friends. would highly recommend!

We requested an early check-in since we had a wedding to attend at 3:30 and were informed there would be an additional charge for this service. I’ve never experienced this anywhere, I’ve always been told if the room is available sure, no problem. While the room was clean, the bed was quite uncomfortable—extremely soft and lumpy, making it difficult to get any restful sleep. We ended up tossing and turning and left very early due to the lack of sleep. Additionally, we were taken aback to find that every bath product was priced individually. The bathtub was lovely, but we were surprised to learn that bath salts and any other bath item came at an extra cost. We will not be staying at this establishment again.

Motel propre, personnel accueillant. Je m’attendais à ce que la chambre soit un peu plus grande et que le micro-ondes soit dans la chambre. La salle de bain était un coup de cœur. La douche est spacieuse et la pièce est rénovée. Le seul bémol est qu’il y avait des cheveux sur le mur de la douche quand je suis arrivée. What a hidden gem. The unique designed of the rooms are so cool and interactive. The owner is so personable and available for support. The history and local support of the motel is obvious. We’ll find a way to be back.

Nice Spot! We stayed after being at Spa Nordik for the day. We checked in late and went over to the restaurant attached to the motel. The Korean chicken sandwich was amazing and the service at night was friendly and excellent! We were startled to someone pounding on our door at 11pm though. Seemingly our neighbours feeling that our TV was a bit loud? Not a great experience to be honest. The restaurant was too busy in the morning to have breakfast as it is a local spot. The greeting when we asked about a table and were treated fpoorly, as if we were dumb.

La personne est là, la porte est ouverte et elle nous demande de revenir (???) on est seul dans le motel… Somme toute correct mais soyez avisé.

I was amazing surprised by our stay at this place, from the warm welcoming to the quality of the room and clean spaces. Every single detail was carefully though to ensure you enjoy your experience! I forgot a personal item and they we so helpful and understanding, they even took the time to follow-up with me and shipped my item home!! The brunch was really good and there are many different choices that are also gluten-free! I recommend this place to anyone, the service and the place are just A-MA-ZING!

This unique motel provided us a retro decor room which was very clean and in very good condition. The check in and access to room was all virtual which I did not care for but the motel staff worked me to find a viable solution which was very much appreciated. The coffee room was great, also in retro theme and fresh condiments for coffee and tea were provided. We enjoyed our one night stay here.

The staff were patient and helpful. The room was well stocked, the interior design was very cute and well thought out. The Motel itself felt safe. Parking was easy and the location was great if you planned on visiting either Wakefield or Old Chelsea. I definitely would recommend, don’t let the word “Motel” fool you, this property was better than some hotels I’ve stayed at, And all for such a reasonable price.

Nice themed room with Leonard Cohen inspiring me to utter a prohibited word during this Lent (Halleluj…!) Easy to disconnect from daily busyness and connect with God’s beauty through close by ski hills. These vacations did create in my heart an energizing transfigurative epiphany. Felt able to be a better disciple of the one who said: “come to me all you who labor and are burdened and I will give you rest.” Staff bilingue et accueillant.

My fiancé and I decided to stay here as it was near the Nordik Spa. Unfortunately for us, we discovered that taxi and ride sharing services aren't really a thing here. We were told that we could book a cab, but only if we provided two hours advance notice which didn't really work with our plans. The restaurant/bar wasn't open when we visited which was on a Tuesday, so definitely check before you book as you truly are in the middle of nowhere. The room we stayed in was adorable, clean and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and tried to accommodate us as best they could.

A wonderful place to stay. We stayed 2 nights while attending a wedding in Wakefield . The place is less than a 20 min drive to Chelsea or Wakefield. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and had a fun aesthetic. We will definitely return.

A fabulous spot for our girls weekend! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, great food and a wonderfully unique apartment style room. Great location situated between two quaint little towns (Old Chelsea and Wakefield) and close to the network or trails in Gatineau National Park. We will definitely return!

Hello, I had a nice stay but it would have been beneficial to know that the restaurant would not be open during my stay. Especially since there were very limited dining options close to the hotel. Otherwise it was clean and quiet.

The Chelsea Motel is a quant little gem to spend the night! We stepped back in time to the 60’s when we entered their restaurant/ reception area with their red and turquoise themed booths and tables. The wallpaper is a work of art. The room was so much fun with a lit ceiling that pictured a huge tree. It made us feel like we were sleeping in a tree house. The old phone and working record player sitting on retro furniture was a fabulous touch. The bathroom took us back to the luxury’s of today with a soaker tub, walk in shower, luxury soaps, and soft towels. Breakfast. Don’t forget to stay for breakfast!! You will not leave there hungry. We will return again to be pampered!!

Our stay was awesome. Each room is so unique and fun. The Restaurant is delicious and cool decor as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a change from the regular hotel room and a fun new experience!

Small, roadside motel but once inside, you realize it’s run and taken care of with lots of love and pride. All rooms are uniquely but tastefully decorated in an eclectic, vintage style. Rooms are clean. The necessary quality amenities are provided (some for a fee but the basic ones are complementary). I enjoyed the restaurant which had good live bands playing both nights that I was there. I also loved the boutique with artisanal products at the reception. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff really stood out to me. Without me asking, they picked up on me not being so keen on the room I had booked, and they offered to transfer me to another top room they had. They got it cleaned up and ready for me very late at night just to make sure I’d have the best possible stay. I was touched by their attentiveness and friendly attitude and hospitality. The dining room staff was also so welcoming. They offered me to stay for the show even if I don’t have a meal or drink. (I ended up having some snacks anyways and enjoyed the night!) We had a one night stay after a visit to the Spa Nordik. The staff is so friendly and check-in was fully explained and easy. The room was beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. We also had access to coffee and tea whenever we liked. The restaurant served an amazing dinner and we had drinks at the bar. We will definitely stay here again!!

This was one of my most pleasant surprises! My wife and I booked a little last minute as we had an event in the area. The Chelsea Motel was available and we opted for the upgraded room. It was HUGE! This is a full apartment! And so well decorated with a retro style. Except for the bathroom that was modern with beautiful tiled shower and pedestal bath tub. It was overkill for the just the two of us, but well worth the extra cost just to feel spoiled. The staff was ultra friendly and gave us a little tour of the facility to explain where our room was and how to get in and out. The motel also has a great little restaurant that I strongly encourage all to visit. There are great music and comedy shows and a very inviting vibe. This was one of my most pleasant surprises! My wife and I booked a little last minute as we had an event in the area. The Chelsea Motel was available and we opted for the upgraded room. It was HUGE! This is a full apartment! And so well decorated with a retro style. Except for the bathroom that was modern with beautiful tiled shower and pedestal bath tub. It was overkill for the just the two of us, but well worth the extra cost just to feel spoiled. The staff was ultra friendly and gave us a little tour of the facility to explain where our room was and how to get in and out. The motel also has a great little restaurant that I strongly encourage all to visit. There are great music and comedy shows and a very inviting vibe. The place is clean and well maintained but clearly not for everyone. Nothing to do around. The motel's restaurant is open on weekends only. This should be clearly stated on hotels.com, especially if they promote the place by offering a breakfast discount as perk to its Silver members. Personnel is available during very limited hours so prepare to be bombarded by lots of emails to respond to. Too high maintenance to my liking.

What a fabulous Boutique Motel! We loved all the special touches: room decor, supplies, complimentary coffee and tea room, and friendly staff. The location is great and the room and dining lounge were spotless! Looking forward to staying here again soon!
