Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites - All Inclusive

There was a great jerk chicken food truck on the beach. The beach was always clean, calm waters and always a chair with shade available. The pool was clean and had fun activities. Always a chair or day bed available. There was always food available: room service, poolside, beach, restaurants (buffet especially). Breakfast was good. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The bar was good. There was always alcohol available from 6am to 2/3am.

The food at this location was amazing for an All-Inclusive. We were very pleased with the staff and service as well. The rooms and restaurants need updated and the pools were just gross. The pools look like they get rarely cleaned.

The staff were excellent and very friendly. The proper is very clean, but we did not have access to the main pool and couldn't walk in some areas of the property because they were doing renovations. Also there were booming noises coming from the roof sometimes at night and in the mornings. I did made a complaint and the security lady told me that they were also working on the roof top. Overall I think I will give them a 9 out of 10. Mainly because of the excellent staff they have. I will definitely go back to the Iberostar star resort in Montego Bay Jamaica.

It's a beautiful resort. Definitely gonna go back. Already been there twice, very clean, friendly and safe. They do some type of entertainment every day.

Good food. Decent beach but you need aqua shoes due to rocks. Not much to do at night but you had no problem finding a spot on the beach or pool in the daytime. Scuba center has good techs and close by dive sites

I booked the Iberostar resort primarily for its kids' water park, expecting an average experience, but it far exceeded our expectations. The resort was impeccably clean and well-organized, from the spacious, spotless rooms to the seamless check-in process. My wife, who is particular about cleanliness due to her OCD, was thoroughly impressed and had no complaints about the room, which we requested to be pristine. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with refreshing drinks, and the staff, from bellboys to front desk, ensured everything ran smoothly. Doreen and Sean at the main pool bar were exceptional, going above and beyond to cater to our needs, including crafting a variety of virgin drinks for the kids. While the restaurants were satisfactory rather than extraordinary, they surpassed our expectations. The steak and seafood restaurant stood out, offering delicious shrimp in their surf and turf dish (note: lobster is unavailable in April and May due to fishing regulations). We encountered a minor issue when a clean water pipe burst in our room, but the staff resolved it within an hour with remarkable efficiency. They immediately offered to upgrade our room, though my wife declined, preferring not to repack. The professionalism and politeness of the entire staff were outstanding, leaving us with nothing negative to say.

The property is fine but not too notch. A lot of grass and sod is dead around the property, fountains don’t work or aren’t turned on and the lazy river was out of commission for several days we were there. The phones in our room didn’t work and comically the phone in the bathroom wasn’t even connected to any wires! Hopefully no one tries to use it in an emergency. Things that I would like liked to know from reviews before going: They have an environmental focus and therefore don’t have straws or paper napkins (except at breakfast buffet). It can make drinking slushie drinks like daiquiris and pina coladas hard - so bring your own straw or cup with straw for you and others in your party. They have an app with the entertainment schedule but they don’t follow it! Entertainment activities take place but not necessarily the date or time in the app. You just have to hang around the pool to hear what they’re announcing and hope you’re there when there’s something you want to do. There is a lot of tipping going on. Much more than we have experienced at other Caribbean AIs so be prepared with small USD. However, they do have an ATM on site and the front desk can change the $20s to smaller bills. It wasn’t that hard to get into the restaurants. Either show up right when they open at 6 or sign in later knowing you may have a 40 min wait and have a drink in the lobby bar while you wait. They sometimes bring around popcorn in the lobby bar which is nice.

The beach,splash park, entertainment

Parts of the hotel were undergoing renovation so some of the restaurants as well as the lazy river were closed. A water line had broke on the first night of our stay and caused them to shut off water for about 1-2 hours but they quickly fixed the issue. Due to the buffet being closed for renovation, people who stayed at Suites had to go over to the Beaches property to share the buffet. However, the A La Carte restaurants were superb and did not disappoint in the slightest. Most guests focused on the buffets which led to the A La Carte restaurants being relatively empty and quiet which allowed for very peaceful family meals. Overall it was a great stay even with the few hiccups.

The staff were nice and accommodating. Our room was ready and we never had to call or request towels or have our refrigerator stocked. The food at the buffet was good. They actually had Jamaican food along with resort staples. Although they were in the midst of doing some upgrades to the lobby and roundabout (painting), the area was clean and did not impede on your ability to get around. I would definitely book this location again. One thing I would warn is that you have to tell your airport transfer driver that you are are the Selection Suites because there is an Iberostar Rose Hall WAVE or JOIA (I was told there was a name change). We were dropped off at that resort, but the hotel porter drove us in the golf cart to the right location that was just next door. Also if you are booked at Selction you can go WAVE or JOIA. So we were able to attend the Reggae party! It was insanely fun and the DJ, hype man and dancers were off the chain! My daugher (13) and I had a great time!

The resort was well cleaned. Food was good. Great location and friendly staff with great service.

Bug found at restaurants. Resort tried to make amends but the offer was non-existent. Bottles and cups smells like icecream. Beach was rocky and dirty at times. Locals on the shore selling weed all the time. Food quality was not great. Staff Orlando at the front desk was welcoming, while servers in the restaurants looked tired and uninterested all the time. SPA and drinks were average. Overall, you can def find better AI elsewhere.

If you’re looking for beautiful beaches this is the place for you. The dining staff was great, a family member went to service to request birthday celebration twice in one day that wasn’t done. There was a cockroach in the buffet line near the ice cream which a visitor nicely crushed. Other than that the place was beautiful.

Upon check-in I had a few questions and Vjay seemed to be annoyed with me. Once I got to my room it smelled of mold. We called the front desk to be moved and unfortunately, they weren't able to move us until the next day. After the move everything was much better. Shanavan checked on us right after the move and recommended that we also speak with Guest Services which I did. They said they would call me and I never heard back from them. Other than the one person at the front desk everyone else was happy to help us with any of our requests. The bellhop staff Dale and Troy were great. The bartenders served amazing drinks. Food at the restaurants we went to were also great. We loved the saxophonist and violinist that played in the lobby. It was a nice way yo wind down in the evenings.

Worst birthday trip. Dirty room (see photos, looks like dirt and saw dust), Glass almost fell out of the balcony glass door on us approximately 1hr after arrival. We were moved to a neighboring room with an AC that didn't work, @ approximately 10 p.m., then after engineering viewed the problem still NO AC until the next morning 11 a.m., after several calls to management. Glass bottle fell on the floor and shattered since September 15, 2025, approximately 10 p.m. (night shift does nothing, lazy) I called the front desk spoke to a man about the broken glass and received no help. Called back at 1 a.m. spoke to another man, no help. Called at 8 a.m. spoke to a woman, no help. Back from breakfast at mins to 10 a.m. no help still broken glass. Called and spoke to a woman name Kimona/Kim from desk service, asked why I still received no help with cleaning up the broken glass that's so dangerous and she said she didn't know that no one came. Asked to speak to the manager, she transferred me to her friend. When I asked the persons name she said desk services. They refuse to let me escalate the situation to someone that can help. Walked down to the glass door room that seats 2women to complain. She was updated before I got there and offered to help. 1 hr after 3 men came to fix the AC.... WHAT THE HELL??? Are these people dunce?? This is the worst vacation ever. Worst birthday. Worst....I have been in danger with glass 2x at this place and as I write this more than 12hrs after. NO HELP

Spacious room, courteous staff, excellent food choices and all-round beautiful resort

Overall, the property was nice. The rooms were outdated and there was a musty smell in the hallways. The staff and service were not what we expected and often the staff seemed "put out" when you ordered food or drinks. With that said, the beach and pool were fabulous!

My room was large and very comfortable. The AC worked well and there was always plenty of hot water for showers. The food was good, but I wish there was more alternatives for breakfast and lunch. The lunch truck was OK, but I like jerk chicken and Jamaican patties. The burgers were not very good and there wasn't much else to choose from. So, almost all days were at the buffet. I picked a bad time of year to go for food because they did not serve lobster while I was there. The beach was clean and the ocean was very warm. The pools were also very clean (perhaps not as warm as the ocean), but very noisy. The singers in the lobby bar were great. The live singing and violin at the pool at 4pm was very unexpected, but very good (way better than the noise from the DJ).

The food was good but there was a lot of noise from the air conditioner during the nights. The elevator frequently did not work.

My wife and I just returned from a 5 night stay for our 15th anniversary. Overall the trip and stay was great! We stayed at the beach resort 15 years ago for our honeymoon so decided to stay at the suites this time. Resort - nothing bad to say about the resort. The beach is beautiful, plenty of things to do, and the pools were great! Room - the room was pretty good overall. There were some cracked tiles in the bathroom and some updating needed but we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room so not a big deal for us. We had an ocean front suite with a balcony that was amazing views day and night. Staff - amazing! Everyone is there to assist you with whatever you may need. Daily restocking of drinks in the room. Front desk, concierge, waitstaff, everyone was so friendly and helped with anything that you could possibly need. Overall great trip, would definitely return to the suites!

Pros: Overall, a great resort. The food is good, and I saw a lot of chefs from different cultures—even had short conversations with them. It’s mostly quiet and feels secure. Most of the staff are super friendly. Cons: I booked a room with two beds a month in advance, but when I arrived, I got one bed and a really uncomfortable pullout instead. This was definitely on them since all the two-bed ocean-view junior suites were already booked. They wouldn’t give me an upgrade either. I went back to the front desk four times to see if one opened up, but I was either told nothing was available or just ignored. I eventually gave up and slept on the floor. They also need to do a better job cleaning the corners and crevices of the bathroom. (Tip for the resort: I use a steam brush at home and it works wonders.)

The property was well maintained and beautiful. The bathrooms were nice but the paint job was messy and lacked a professional finish. The hallway carpet had a wet odor which was unpleasant

- The room was very nice and comfortable. - The staff was okay but not customer-friendly at all. - Upon entering the resort, I was pulled aside and given misleading information. I was offered a gift and told it was not a sales event, just a breakfast with a manager in a nicer section. However, when I showed up the next day, I was taken to the club area for a sales event. When I refused to attend, one of the staff members spoke to me very rudely and essentially asked me to leave. This felt like a sleazy sales tactic, especially since I had clearly stated I was not interested in any sales or marketing event. - The resort is not fully functional, and there were many men doing repairs. This is understandable considering what the island recently went through.

The hotel was clean and everyone did their utmost to make people feel at home , despite any personal challenges it did not show . There was choice of a la carte restaurants and the buffet was excellent quality . Rooms are clean and pools and beach great . We are so glad we continued with our holiday to Jamaica after the storm. Special mention to Sean at reception, friendly , calm and patient with the check in . Also Sheena at concierge always had a a warm smile for us and lots of chit chat . The warm and friendly people make Jamaica special

The staff never came to our room for two days to clean up the water on the floor after Hurricane Melissa, even though we called multiple times. We were never given clean towels, our toilets were clogged, we had no running water most of the time after the storm, and the AC wasn’t working. No basic services were provided, yet we were charged an additional $715 for two more nights after our flights were cancelled. Two front desk staff members told us we could get a refund upon checkout, but when we tried to do so, they refused. I even emailed them about the service and refund and got no response—yet they had no problem replying quickly before we arrived. Overall, extremely disappointed with the service. I’m not planning to return and will not be recommending this place to anyone.

For the price not a good deal. Was not really impressed. check in had us wait an hour at check in waiting on room. balcony light didn't work. no hot water for shower. tub was ok. removed face cloths, not given replacements. food was average at best. Front office slow to respond to guest requests. would not recommend resort to friends

The dining staff in the buffet were the best. They remembered us when we would come in and considering how many people come in and out, they do everything in a timely matter and with a smile on their face. They're friendly and deserve all the positive remarks. The same can be said with the poolside bar and the all day MC's taking care of the entertainment all day. They put in the work! What we didn't like was the time it takes when working with the front desk, from waiting in line, to waiting for the whole transaction of service, to quick check out or the process of checking out especially when timing shuttle back to the airport, as well as knowing what's been tabbed to the room. We were not given an itemized list but will be looking for an e-mail that includes this information. Considering they claim this is a "5-star hotel, we didn't feel like such when being served" not to mention they didn't clean our room until after 3PM and service would take more than an hour to get done. It was clean like when we moved when when we got in but we had to keep busy a couple of times just to wait for the rooms to be completed. We were also decieved on pricing for some spa services at the pool when we inquired about services. Not only was the price incorrect, the time and date of services were also mislead as well. All the families we were there with had a blast but there weren't any compensations and the manager seemed almost annoyed with our simple requests inquired about.

Pros: Staff is wonderful, cheerful and accommodating. Beach is nice and activity staff is fun. Con’s: Room was not ready on time. Room view was not as described even after paying more. Food was ok,but very repetitive. The corporate greed is hard to overlook. They have no bottled water to “save the environment” so it’s your job to fill your glass bottles which are only located in your hallways. The hotel room had no working outlets which had to be fixed. When I told the front desk they said “ you must have used the hairdryer on high” which I replied it’s your hairdryer you provideThis was our first time staying with this brand of hotels. We have stayed at easily a dozen all inclusive places and this was the first time we got tricked and trapped into a presentation. Most concierge help you book dinners and excursions. Not Iberostars. Their purpose is to get you to agree to a free breakfast at a better level hotel next door. Once you agree then they will trap you. Ours went 120 minutes. At least that’s what happened to us. It’s like a car dealership they send 4 different people at you to get you to sign up for a 15-30 year commitment requiring nearly 10k down today type of deal. When my wife and I said we didn’t have the $9,400 they needed today the manager told me I did have that much and I could sign up but I was choosing not to. Just like when buying a car it would be nice to think about it but they threaten you that the deal is no good if we don’t hand a check over now.

Everything was great except my housekeeper who told me 5 minutes wait is too late for me to get service. After I requested her to give me 5 minutes to get dressed to leave the room so she can clean. That was not pleasant not professional and that spoiled the remaining of my stay

There are two main reasons I did not rated it higher than a 4. 1. Iberostar concierge will try and get you to commit to a membership pitch over breakfast. Last thing I want to do on vacation. 2. Service level of the staff was inconsistent, but overall good.

Our overall experiences while staying were ok. Few things I didn’t like, there were no rooms available to check in when we got there at 6:10pm. We were told to get snacks to eat first from the cafe, however the room still not ready when we had snacks and coffee. Instead of waiting in the lobby we went to the buffet restaurant which opens at 6:30pm daily. Finally we got our room after dinner, the room(33-03) is a bit outdated but is clean, however the smell of the third floor was moldy. Food we were ok, typical all inclusive food. The coffee, cappuccino are good from the cafe. In general, the staff were very friendly except one girl who was at the concierge desk who made fun of our last name, she was giggling and said “wong-chunk” when heard our last name while I had conversations with the other lady at the concierge desk. That girl definitely needs more additional trainings.

Liked - most staff were great - especially check in agents, buffet staff and entertainment (Stretch and Ruth and fitness instructors). Food was average to great, depending on the restaurant. Property was in good condition and there was lots of activities. Rooms were big and in good condition. What could use work? - staff at gym entrance were dismissive and rude; pool/beach bars don't have enough staff and were not overly pleasant. They definitely have the toughest jobs with all the drinking adults but they ignored anyone without money in their hands, especially the kids.

We just got back from a week at the resort. The concierge staff is awful. We had a terrible situation with Brandy at the concierge who was nasty and rude. We read reviews where people had help from concierge but that was not our experience. We upgraded to the Star Prestige which was an extra $1,000 and still didn't have anyone that was willing to make sure that our stay was pleasant. Everything was difficult - from getting dinner reservations to making appointments at the spa or just trying to get information from anyone. We have stayed at multiple All Inclusive Resorts - this was by far the worst one we experienced. The room was dirty and I think there was mold on the showerhead. The hotel hasn't been well maintained and they are constantly doing construction. The app doesn't work, you can't get anyone to help you and many people that work there are nasty. I would not recommend it.

Very nice all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay area. The staff was very polite and courteous. Food was good, drinks were nice and rooms clean. There were events every night which kept a very festive vibe going. My 5yr old daughter enjoyed every bit of our stay. They also have cabs to drop you to the airport at very reasonable prices and almost zero wait times. No need to worry about transportation back to the airport at the end of your trip. All in all a very good experience. Nothing to give it any less than 5 stars.

Clean, food was good. Ime thong os the beachfront had lots of rocks. There was a s.all section that dod not ha e many rocks. O n ly complaint. Overall, really liked Iberostar Selection Rose Hall resort and would recommend this resort

Buffet was good and the Asian restaurant (Tsuki) was excellent! Beach wasn’t good. Rough sand and dirty water. Not clear blue waters and lots of seaweed in there. It also had a bad smell. Also a very small beach. The Service did not feel like 5 star as they say it has a 5 star rating. Hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious. Beach and pool were not too far from the suite. Weather was great but very windy by the beach. Music and daily entertainment was excellent. Shout out to the singer and the pianist at the lobby bar… you have some real talent!! This resort is good for the kids. Their Star camp looked like lots of fun! There was an incident that occurred at the resort’s nightclub that left us very scared. Will not get into details but the staff were not helpful with this incident and had no answers or updates for us. There was no action taken from the staff as well, Police were not called. Everything was shoved under the rug as I am guessing they did not want to ruin the reputation of this resort. Also an important note that there is no Doctor on site of this resort. They only provide a Nurse during the day and that comes at a cost and your insurance does not cover this expense. It was fun while it lasted but we are happy to be back home after that incident occurred.

Resort very nice, staff very friendly , food very good. I love the beach and swimming in the ocean, but at this resort, being on the beach was very irritating and stressful. There were three very pushy men aggressively trying to sell weed (I’m not talking about the guys on the boats selling souvenirs or other items). They would even come up to the sunbed area, and there was no peace from them. You don’t feel safe there. It was a terrible experience, even though the beach itself is beautiful. Also, the sound system in the theater was way too loud, and the shows were not very entertaining, especially for children. Overall very nice resort.

I feel very safe visiting there and the staff are amazing! Looking forward to returning and I would book this property. The entertainment was awesome as well. I like the ocean and there isn't a good place to swim there because there is too many rocks.

If you’re looking for a nice Caribbean beach- this resort is not for you.

Great staff and good value; close to Mbay airport

The food here was very good for resort food. The drinks were good. The staff were lovely. the beach is one you can swim in. The resort is a little small but overall it was a great experience and id stay here again.

Stayed here for a family vacation to celebrate my niece's 21st birthday. The property is lovely, the food was good and the people were mainly nice. Excellent housekeeping and pool service. Unfortunately we did experience issues with not being able to get bar service in the lobby multiple times and found that tipping was the only way to get noticed! The steak restaurant was delicious but waited over an hour to get seated and limited availability for the hibachi restaurant (so make your reservations immediately) which ultimately was entertaining & delicious.

The resort offered a pleasant stay, and most of the staff were accommodating. Entertainment options were well-received by both kids and adults alike. Food quality was also notable. However, dining at the lobster and steak house proved disappointing due to inattentive service from a waiter who was impolite and slow, leading to a lengthy delay in receiving our entrée and our eventual decision to leave and eat elsewhere. Other visitors had comparable issues with the service at this restaurant.

Had problems with guest services and the Italian and Greek restaurants was totally inefficient, our wait time of 45 mins to be seated then the wait to be served food was around 1hr 33 mins and the food was not worth the wait, secondly the electrical outlets in the room was not working and we had no clothes iron in the room, we were there for a wedding, after repetitive calls about the iron and the outlets we got the iron the day after the wedding and they said there’s nothing they can do about the outlets

Plenty of options. Something for everyone's pallet.

3/7 restaurants open daily those that are open had no reservations available and you could not be on list for next available table. Steakhouse mediocre at best. Seafood restaurant we walked out food horrible. Asian or Japanese never available. Italian was the best of the 3. Food truck out of everything except hotdog. Buffet surprisingly good. Lobster tail extra charge but excellent. Our cream in shower inoperable. Shows at night impossible to see unless you eat by 630 or after 844 leaving buffer only option. Drinks coffee and liquor were lots of choices. Concierge’s uninformed and also have no idea what’s going on. Finally $400 credit implies $400 can be used for any charged activity. Rather you pay upcharge and get discounts $25-100 off D’Souza if you use all coupons you save $400. We used $25 off for gambling when you load $50 so you have $75 total.

Food was mediocre. Only one place open for breakfast. Lunch time at buffet didn’t start until 1 with only options being sub par food truck and coffee shop 12-1.

Great resort, the staff is incredibly friendly and very hospitable! Rooms are nice, I’d give them a B for cleanliness but deduct scoring because we had a broken cabinet and a broken door handle to our balcony which takes away from the aesthetic in my opinion. I’d say the biggest con of staying here is the food. It takes a few days to figure out where to eat with the best food. Buffet is mediocre at best, option for eggs or an omelette was our go to. We had great food at the Asian restaurant and pretty decent food at the steak house, although steak is cheaper cuts and are fatty. Horrible experience at the Italian restaurant, definitely do not recommend, not sure how they manage to make pasta taste so horrible. We’ve stayed here twice now and usually our only complaint is we wish they would bring on top tier food manager who understood they need to have a few stand out food options which make their guests dream of coming back. Room service is absolutely disgusting! We tried everything during our last stay and literally tasted a single bite of each it was just gross and looked as bad as it tasted…literally even the nachos!! The bars do a good job and the bartenders are great, but don’t expect top shelf booze of any kind unless you’re paying for prestige membership which gives you access to the bar with better quality booze. That said, if you’re not a big drinker then the well booze probably won’t bother you. Overall we’ve had two good trips here and would recommend.

The staff is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and they learn your name and what you like. Pools are beautiful! I was not that impressed with the food though. Daily breakfast in the buffet is great!
