I needed a place convenient to local area and transport. Westside Motor Inn fulfilled my needs at a very reasonable price. It was safe, clean, had offstreet parking, and was reasonably quiet. The property was easy to access from Liverpool road. Westside provides no fuss accommodation for people just needing a place to stay in the inner west near transport. There are plenty of eateries nearby, overall very convenient, I'd stay again.

If you go out for dinner you may struggle to get a parking space on the motel property. Also, I have stayed here many times. Love it but they always always have problems with the TV reception.

I have stayed here many times but have to admit the first time I thought what the heck am I doing here but soon realised not to judge a book by it’s cover.. The rooms are very clean. Staff are friendly & welcoming. Parking is secure & it’s surprisingly quiet. There’s also a whole bunch of awesome restaurants including Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Japanese etc several blocks away on Liverpool road.. Great place to stay if you’re on a budget!

Location was great, walking distance to 2 train stations and the leagues club. Parking was great. The room hard a card instead of a key, it fit inside my phone case, perfect for going out. I didn't like that an air-conditioner had been removed from the wall and not painted. The bed was rickety and made really loud noises with the slightest movement, not ideal for a light sleeper.

We picked Westside as we needed somewhere with free parking not too far from the airport. It was well located and close to shops and meeting friends in the inner west in the evening. The check-in process was easy, parking was roomy and felt pretty secure, the room was tidy and had everything we needed (except we brought out own travel cot for our baby). Water pressure was excellent and so hot! To check out we just dropped our key in the box and off we went. It was small and basic, but we only needed somewhere for a few hours as we were on a 6am flight and travelled from 3 hours away.

They often have trouble with with their tv reception so I have had trouble watching certain channels when I have been there but I am out and about most of the time so not a huge problem. Staff are friendly and polite and always allow me a late check out upon request. Good value for money.

Motel is aging and has seen better days but it’s clean and is close to the Ashfield train station which makes it very easy to get to the city centre. You get what you pay for, Sydney is very expensive so this is affordable accommodation that’s convenient.

We keep coming back to this motel. Its clean and has recently been refreshed. The bed is comfortable. Its within walking distances to club, shops and heaps of choice of restaurants. Close to public transport if you wish to go into the city. Its also great value. We will go back when we visit Sydney.

Exceptionally clean property. Great shower pressure. Convenient microwave & toaster. Only negatives were the TV which is quite old & not up to date with the additional free to air channels released in recent years. Also there is no fly screen in the bathroom & some mosquitoes were buzzing around the room.

I was visiting family and there is very little reasonably priced accommodation in the area. Westside Motor Inn is good value, easy to get to, convenient, and safe. Staying there really made my visit to the Ashfield area enjoyable.

Excellent hotel/motel for the price. The staff are polite and friendly and will always try to accommodate guests needs. The location is excellent. Walking distance to Ashfield and short walk to Ashfield station if you want to go to the city. The car park does get full especially at night and the TV reception can sometimes be a problem especially with network 7 channels but otherwise I like this hotel very much.

Excellent hotel/motel for the price. The staff are polite and friendly and will always try to accommodate guests needs. The location is excellent. Bathroom way to small for bigger people. TV very outdated and very limited in channels

Bathroom way to small for bigger people. TV very outdated and very limited in channels

POSITIVES: Leo the manager going w/ me from room to room trying to find a clean one & one where the air-con wasn’t rattling. Some improvements w/ the lighting…Sheets & towels seemed to be clean. NEGATIVES: Levi, who’s being trained to attend the front desk, giggled when I arrived & asked him whether the room had been vacuumed as I had requested (on this occasion & previously). He said: “Yeah, it’s pretty clean”. Explained to him the importance of working in hospitality & the expectations guests have of hotels they’re staying at should be taken seriously & more respectfully. Strange stains on carpet like spots of dye or blood. Carpet/floor hadn’t been fully vacuumed/cleaned. There were hair strands on the bedspread & a hair strand on the wall near the window! Flooring & one of the outlets near the bed were shabby, dirty & the skirting boards were makeshift w/ big gaps between the floor & wall. The toilet periphery & mouldings were dirty, w/ hair & debris. A sticker from underwear was left stuck on the bathroom door. Microwave was lopsided, appeared to have a missing base on one side (please see attached photo). Bathroom shelf slanted downwards so when anything was placed on the shelf, the item would roll down into the sink. The toilet roll holder had been affixed up high near where a person’s shoulder would be when sitting using the toilet. The space is so narrow, I’d hit my shoulder on the toilet roll holder which BTW is metal. No Valance on old bed base (All photos attached)
