Loved this place. Everything we wanted. We stayed in unit number 2. Our friends stayed in 4. They payed a little extra but well worth it. Breakfast pack was great. Only downer was the tv was very poor (almost zero connection). Our friends tv perfect. We recommend it

Had a great night's stay, hosted by the engaging Julia and her husband. They are keen art and antiques collectors who clearly love their old hotel. We opted for the rustic Garden Room (It was probably once a servants quarters or the kitchen), downstairs and out the back next to the kitchen garden and several friendly cats. We went for dinner that night in a terrific Indian restaurant round the corner in the main street and afterwards lay happily in bed looking up at the vaulted timber shingled ceiling while a fire flickered in the wood burner, casting a cheerful glow over our room. Next morning we were served a terrific cooked breakfast in the upstairs dining room which opens onto a huge verandah/balcony where you look over the police station and court house. Ours was a B&B experience extraordinaire thanks to our host's personal attention and the taste we were given of old Australia.

We were greeted by our host, shown our room and also shown a lovely seating area out on the verandah. There was tea, coffee and water for us to help ourselves, as well as home made shortbread which was delicious. Our room was beautiful and spacious.

There was no fridge or microwave. The TV was smaller than my computer monitor and only about 5 channels work. The hot water ran out half-way through my shower and the towels are very stiff and scratchy. Grossly overpriced for what you get.

Beautiful historic building, a piece of history well restored and kept. Lovely amenities, tea coffee biscuits on arrival waiting in the room and drawing room. This was a nice touch after a long drive. Historic fittings, luxury linens, beautiful verandah. Friendly caring host. Amazing drawing room with lounges and tables and fire, would be very warm and fun in winter. No longer serves breakfast it is called an Inn. Some websites incorrectly still refer to BnB, however plenty of cafes to choose from round corner in the Main Street. I’d recommend newly renovated soldiers club for delicious dinner.

Globe Inn was a beautiful B & B. The historic charm was evident thd moment you drove through the gate right up to entering our room number 3, upstairs. The huge upstairs verandah was perfect for relaxing in one of many comfy chairs and lounges. Tea and coffee, plus Anzac biscuits were available. Our room was spacious and clean. There are some areas where some maintanance is required but all up we were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, served by Julie and her husband who were acting as custodians while the owners were overseas. We would be happy to return.

Very old building, very steep stairs, shallow tread on them. We would not have booked it if we had known. The proprietor was, however, very helpful and carried our cases up, and down again in the morning. It was expensive ($200) for what it was. We had trouble booking somewhere for the Sat.night but expected for that price it would have had some touches of luxury to compensate. The room was also quite small but had a high ceiling which helped. When we first arrived my husband said "I hope I don't get claustrophobia." It had tea and coffee making in the room and there was a separate shared sitting area,(also with kettle, tea, coffee but no microwave ) and access to a balcony. We were in Room 5. The mattress was thin and hard. It needs replacing. I don't normally give bad reviews (usually say nothing) but felt in this case should describe it as it is.

This is my favourite place to stay in NSW. It is family run, always extra friendly, so so comfortable and clean enough to make me feel perfectly at ease and I am a dreadful clean freak. The bathrooms are a tad old and less than luxurious, but overall that is just a quaint feature of a property in which the hosts and the ambience and the bed and linen and breakfasts are perfect.
This is my favourite place to stay in NSW. It is family run, always extra friendly, so so comfortable and clean enough to make me feel perfectly at ease and I am a dreadful clean freak. The bathrooms are a tad old and less than luxurious, but overall that is just a quaint feature of a property in which the hosts and the ambience and the bed and linen and breakfasts are perfect.

The only complaint about the room was that the skylight blind cord was broken so we couldn't shut out the morning light. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot and good preasure. Otherwise no complaints. A beautiful old building. We would definately stay again.

Nice accommodation except I was freezing overnight and in the morning. I think the heating was turned off. Not sure if this is usual practice but it made the night uncomfortable. Other than that, nice place

Our confirmation stated that our room would have a king size bed, aircon, coffee making facilities and toiletries. We had a queen bed, no aircon, no coffee making facilities and no toiletries. It was a quirky room in the garden not in the main house and not what we ordered. The welcome and breakfast were good which was just as well as we were not very happy with the room

Very old building, very steep stairs, shallow tread on them. We would not have booked it if we had known. The proprietor was, however, very helpful and carried our cases up, and down again in the morning. It was expensive ($200) for what it was. We had trouble booking somewhere for the Sat.night but expected for that price it would have had some touches of luxury to compensate. The room was also quite small but had a high ceiling which helped. When we first arrived my husband said "I hope I don't get claustrophobia." It had tea and coffee making in the room and there was a separate shared sitting area,(also with kettle, tea, coffee but no microwave ) and access to a balcony. We were in Room 5. The mattress was thin and hard. It needs replacing. I don't normally give bad reviews (usually say nothing) but felt in this case should describe it as it is.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place . It was beautifully decorated , lovely bed . Gorgeous verandah and magnificent breakfast . I would highly recommend the globe inn They were also very helpful when I had car trouble and very kind

Authentic Victorian style hotel, right in the middle of Yass but very quiet. Very private. Now has central air-conditioning which is great for winter.

Had a great night's stay, hosted by the engaging Julia and her husband. They are keen art and antiques collectors who clearly love their old hotel. We opted for the rustic Garden Room (It was probably once a servants quarters or the kitchen), downstairs and out the back next to the kitchen garden and several friendly cats. We went for dinner that night in a terrific Indian restaurant round the corner in the main street and afterwards lay happily in bed looking up at the vaulted timber shingled ceiling while a fire flickered in the wood burner, casting a cheerful glow over our room. Next morning we were served a terrific cooked breakfast in the upstairs dining room which opens onto a huge verandah/balcony where you look over the police station and court house. Ours was a B&B experience extraordinaire thanks to our host's personal attention and the taste we were given of old Australia.

Beautiful historic building, a piece of history well restored and kept. Lovely amenities, tea coffee biscuits on arrival waiting in the room and drawing room. This was a nice touch after a long drive. Historic fittings, luxury linens, beautiful verandah. Friendly caring host. Amazing drawing room with lounges and tables and fire, would be very warm and fun in winter. No longer serves breakfast it is called an Inn. Some websites incorrectly still refer to BnB, however plenty of cafes to choose from round corner in the Main Street. I’d recommend newly renovated soldiers club for delicious dinner.

We had a wonderful time right from the first warm welcome, the comfortable bed and spacious bedroom, relaxing in front of the open fire in the lounge room and through to the two course cooked breakfast. The Inn is right in town so all of Yass was within easy walking distance. The proprietors appeared determined to ensure you had an enjoyable, friendly and relaxing stay.

The hotel could do with an update. It’s is very cute and old fashioned, but it has been run down. Bathroom sink has a huge brown running through it. Towel rail was broken and there were dead flies on the window ledges. Door ledges were dirty. The heating is not adequate for a Yass winter. A tiny little dimplex heater to warm a very large room. We checked in around 5 and the heating had not been left on. It took hours before the room had warmed adequately. The electric blanket didn’t seem to work either!!!

The Globe Inn has just 5 rooms. The pictured garden on the Hotel web site is not accessible. It is NOT a B&B as, according to reception, breakfasts have "not been served for about a year". Reception is a phone contact: no real person appeared. All 5 rooms are upstairs (no disabled access). Our room is fitted out as it was about 50 years ago apart from the flat screen TV. No air conditioning. A strip heater was effective in the en suite, but the small column heater in the bedroom (large with high ceiling) was totally ineffective. Many items (jug, TV, electric blanket, bed lamps) were run off extension leads. We would not return to this "Inn".

The Globe Inn, was lovely but needs to maintain the standards of maintenance and repair it held in the past. We loved our previous stays there, but this time, were a little disappointed. It is no longer a BnB, which we knew, but that had been part of the previous charm as well.

We stayed in the Garden Room, in mid May. The room is very rustic and while it would be great for a stay in spring or summer, we were very happy to only be there one night. It was comfortable (great bed) but very cold. I would suggest looking very closely at the photos on the website, and perhaps staying in a room in the house if you have a couple of nights in Yass.
