Recently fully renovated clean rooms with good hot strong showers, large space, good A/C heating for those 5C Hobart spring (sometimes feel still like winter) mornings, friendly reception and restaurant staff - they give further discounts for in-room guests. Bonus is the large and firm bed for a good and quiet nights sleep. Highly recommend this reasonably priced Hobart decent hotel and bistro. Also short walks to Hobart Italian Australian Club and close Uber to Hobart CBD

Room was spotless and cleaned daily - just found it strange 2 single beds together to make a double! I never complained! Staff great - fantastic meals. Nice shower. If no car, 20 min walk to mid City( I liked) Uber very cheap to City - $8 to $9

Our room was old and dated. Shower over old bath which had hair in it. We have stayed in renovated rooms before which are ok. Sorry but won’t be going back. Restaurant used to be packed but after eating there I can understand why it wasn’t.

We didnt think the Aircon work correctly. For a disability room i didnt think the bathroom floor was very safe. Overall maintenance and cleanliness was not acceptable.

The room was very clean, the amenities were quite good, but the bed was a bit harder than I Personally like. But that is just me. The hotel is very easy to access from any direction. It is , afterall in North Hobart, but is really quick to get into the CBD. The hotel does have a little bit of age showing, but the smell of fresh paint, and tile work underway at the entrance would tell a traveler that things are being looked after. All the staff I encountered were quite nice and, as Tasmanians, great folks, and easy to interact with. I WILL be coming back next time I am in Hobart. By the way, the food was very good too.

Checking in and out is very problematic. We arrived at 4PM but the reception was closed. Checking in at the restaurant next door lasted 30’ as the only one who new how that worked was also the only one with a gaming license and was not available!! Checking out was even worse: we left at 9.30 AM and the reception was closed AGAIN!! The restaurant opens at 11AM so there was nobody present and check out is before 10AM. Ridiculous. The food in the restaurant is good ad are the employees working there. Cleaning of the room is not or poorly done.

The staff in the bar downstairs were great. They checked us in & continued to take great care of us. Room had a fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee, tea, & lots of milk for our coffee. We walked to the CBD & harbour from here both during the day & in the dark - about 9:00 pm - about 1/2 hour walk.

Certainly fulfilled my criteria of Clean, Comfortable and convenient! The staff was so friendly and helpful! Such a shame they didn’t do breakfast as the evening meals were excellent! I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again! 😉👍

Looks like the rooms have had a refurb. The bathroom looked new, new fridge and kettle. Clean, comfortable and cheap with free parking. Only downside was the heat pump was a bit rumbly if you stood in the bathroom (like there was a truck outside), but okay in the room and didn’t affect sleep. We’ll be back!
