The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The coffee is good. My one issue is I booked a king room with a courtyard at a premium price (for which I received an email confirmation at the time of booking) and I was given a small studio in its place. I had no warning, and only discovered the change after checking in and entering the room. I returned to the front desk to ask to be moved to the correct room, and I was told it had already been given to another customer. The front desk agent then told me that it was my responsibility to follow up with a call the hotel anytime I use a third-party like Hotels.com to book a room, otherwise the room could be given to someone else, even after the booking has been confirmed. I asked if I could have a room of equal or greater value instead of the downgrade I was given and was told there was nothing available. I then asked if they would refund the difference between the room I paid for and the room I was given and was told they would look into it. I called the hotel after returning home and sent emails to the contacts they provided when I called but still no refund has been issued. It was bad enough they gave my room away, but it’s incredibly frustrating that I paid almost twice as much as the substitute room was worth.

Missed breakfast but the coffee/tea service was okay. Staff were competent and efficient. Room itself has seen better days (lamp shade was tattered and torn). Bring sleep mask and earplugs for a more restful night. Room was clean and kitchen was well equipped for a longer term stay. (We only stayed one night.)

Do not request the rooms with a garden sitting area unless you like being in the basement. They do not tell you that in the listing. The room location was not good at all and the heat did not work !

Room with patio had a very strong smell of cigarette. Supervisor came in to check and said it was com g from the room beside ours. Hotel was full and she said couldn’t move us (myself and a 4 years old kid with asthma). Reception and kitchen’s staff are very friendly. Location is great, steps from subway. Corridor from the gym and surrounding area had a strong smell of sewage.
