Il y a eu un problème de réservation. Arrivés à l'hôtel Alphubel, un écriteau dans l'accueil vide nous invite à aller à l'hôtel Siri tout proche pour enregistrement et attribution de la chambre. A cet hôtel, après longues recherches pas de trace de notre réservation, même en présentant le mail de confirmation... Finalement nous avons été hébergés à l'hôtel Continental tout proche également, dans de bonnes conditions. Tout s'est bien terminé mais nous avons eu une petite émotion.

So maybe not the prettiest of all hotels but still had a cabin/vintage feel. Our main complaint so far on this trip was the pillows! They laid so flat and the bed wasn’t that great but also not the worst. Had a cute balcony and two additional chairs inside which was perfect for when we brought our dinner back. Super convenient location to station and Matterhorn activity that we did. The other activities like to the main view of the mountain was 15ish minutes on the other side but that only meant going on a nice walk. Was even able to wake up early enough for a sunrise view. Oh and breakfast was decent! Had totally forgotten it was included

The best part about our room was the balcony outside, which was large and had views of the mountains. However, the room was very small in the hotel wasn’t that enjoyable. Breakfast was adequate, but if you’re going to go to Vermont, I would pick a nicer place.

I paid CHF 592.81 for a three-night stay, so I expected a level of quality reasonably appropriate for that price. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet those expectations. The balcony technically existed, but it was so small that there was barely enough space for two chairs, making it practically unusable. There was also a refrigerator in the room, but it did not cool at all and was therefore completely unusable. I have seen many positive reviews mentioning the good breakfast and clean rooms. While these may be positive aspects, I wonder whether the hotel is being considered “good for the price.” At CHF 592.81 for three nights, I expected significantly better overall quality and facilities. My concern is not simply that the hotel was expensive. Prices can vary, especially in Zermatt. The issue is whether the quality of a hotel reasonably matches the price at which it is offered. Since this was the price presented by the booking platform, I also wonder whether the platform should do more to check whether the advertised price is consistent with the actual quality of the accommodation.
