Our stay at Nayara Springs was truly exceptional. My wife and I travel frequently and stay at high-end properties around the world, and this was quite simply the best resort we have ever experienced. Every aspect of the property is thoughtfully executed. All five restaurants were outstanding, offering consistently excellent food and service. Our villa was beautiful, impeccably comfortable, and private; the warm plunge pool was an absolute highlight (warm from the hot springs!). The grounds are immaculate, the facilities are top-tier, and the spa is perfectly serene. What truly sets Nayara Springs apart, however, is the extraordinary hospitality. The level of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care shown by the staff is unlike anything we’ve encountered elsewhere. I would especially like to recognize Anthony, who went far above and beyond throughout our stay. He was instrumental in helping us plan activities, dining, and transportation both on and off the property, always anticipating our needs and making everything effortless. Nayara Springs is a rare property that exceeds expectations in every dimension. We cannot recommend highly enough and very much look forward to returning.

Top of the line experience. Service, ammenities, beauty, food, and overall experience is well worth the money. Stayed 4 nights during our honeymoon and they went the extra mile to make sure it was special, including complimentary chocolates, champagne, and roses/decorations to celebrate. We are not typically luxury resort customers so sometimes it felt like we should not need such high quality of service, but we learned to love it. The villa was the best accommodation we have ever experienced. Loved how spacious it was and the outdoor showers. The thermal spring pool was especially awesome during a heavy rainstorm or to soak in for a short bit to relax your muscles after a long day of trekking. Did not feel a need to experience the other local hot springs because we had one right in our room. It was great being able to access the other two resorts on the campus and indulge in their pools and restaurants, Ayla being our favorite. Keep in mind the campus is on a hillside and there is a lot of elevation to cover to get from Springs to the Tented Camp, but you can easily call for golf cart transportation to take you anywhere you want - just make sure to budget that time into your schedule. We loved it and would highly recommend for an unforgettable couples experience!

Fabulous property. Staff are unmatched. Dinner is a culinary experience in each restaurant and we enjoyed them all. Drink menus are expertly curated. We saw sloths and toucans daily. Breakfast at Ayla is wonderful as is the buffet at La Terrazza. Breakfast in the room by the pool is nice but the food offered does not meet the level of eating in the restaurants. We enjoyed walking the grounds. The three resorts are truly magical.

Really felt like staying in the rainforest, but with excellent food and service. Villa was very private. Not a wildlife preserve, but we did see monkeys, a mom and baby sloth, birds, and lizards on the expansive property. The geothermal pools and the use of all 3 Nayara restaurants and facilities were major plusses that probably aren't emphasized enough.
Really felt like staying in the rainforest, but with excellent food and service. Villa was very private. The nicest resort I have ever been to. The staff was amazing and very accommodating & even helped me get a new rental car. I got a 2 hour massage treatment & it was amazing! Close to all of the excursions, all the food was great, & spent a bunch of time at the swim up pool. There was even a sloth that was just hanging out in the trees above the pool every day. Will definitely go back!

Gorgeous property, pleasant surprises around each corner, beautifully landscaped, so much wildlife on property, 3 spas, excellent dining options, many pools and hot springs to choose from, gorgeous accommodations, loved that the mini bar stuff was free, the people were friendly, informed, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Costa Rica. Lots of nearby excursions as well! Excellent service.

A true 5 star resort. The private thermal pool provided hours of relaxation. There was major construction going on by amor loco restaurant and it was LOUD. I can’t fathom how they were still booking the rooms around that area. They tried to put us in one but we asked to move. I thought that was bizarre. If you have an open room without noise, why not put us there to begin with. We ended up sitting around for a couple of hours until the room was ready. The Mediterranean restaurant at nayara tented camp (Ayla I think is the name) had just revamped the menu and we had dinner there, it wasn’t great, lunch was terrific though. The sushi was decent at Asia Luna. Amor loco was good, service was great. We dined at travesia in town 3x. It was excellent. They cleaned our pool while we were there and the new water pumped in was much hotter. We loved it. There’s a faucet to make it cooler if it’s too hot. If the water is only tepid and you like hot, it wouldn’t hurt to ask them to change it, it only takes a half hour or so. Our personal host was very nice but it would have been great if she was reachable via WhatsApp. This is pretty standard with other 5 star resorts. If we were out of our room and we needed something or had a question for her, we had to hunt down a phone to reach the front desk. They had a message section in the App but I never received a response. The grounds are fantastic, you never have to leave. We recommend and we will be back!

The property, room and staff were outstanding. Everyone was very friendly and always went out of their way to make every accommodation. Room was services twice a day, restaurants were good to very good. The grounds are essentially on a very steep hill, making a bit difficult to walk to various locations on the grounds, but could get a golf cart to bring you wherever you wanted fairly quickly. They have over 100 carts. You can even get breakfast to the room and laundry service at no extra cost. Although there is no tennis, pickle ball courts, mini golf or shuffleboard, the resort itself is second to none.

Stunning resort with a fantastic range of dining options, pools and tranquil thermal springs. Possibly one of the best views of Arenal via one of the pools/bars too! The staff were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms (Kings Springs villa) was huge with a double indoor and outdoor shower. Comfortable beds, great breakfast options. I love that you can visit other areas within the resort (Springs, Gardens and tented camps). I would love to visit again!

I've traveled a lot of the world and Nayara is easily one of the most breathtaking resorts I've ever been to. The villa is HUGE and you get your own thermal spring pool which we spent a lot of time in and out of. The staff is amazing, some of the kindest people you'll ever meet. The cleanliness was a 10 out of 10. The room was turned down twice a day and they also offered free laundry. The resort grounds are unbelievably beautiful, and you would never know the resort was at full capacity, it felt empty because it is such a large property. I can't say enough good things about our experience at Nayara, we did not want to leave!

Beautiful and impeccably clean property! Every corner feels like paradise. What really stood out was how genuinely friendly and welcoming everyone at the resort was—from the front desk to the restaurant staff. Their warmth made the experience even more special. Amazing place. Everything was top notch and very very good. I would recommend to anyone BUT….food and drinks are very pricey, thermal tubs attached to rooms are dirty and full of vegetation (never cleaned while we were there for four days) and plant material. Don’t order breakfast to your room, it gets cold easily. Breakfast (included) was very good with great options, but eat at the restaurant if you want it hot. Overall Service is excellent, entire property atmosphere is great, wine pairing meal was outstanding. The property (both meals, room, and drinks) prices itself out of being someplace I would go back to again.

Wonderful stay at Nayara Springs! The driver who picked us up, Michael, was fantastic. Our personal host, Alfredo, provided superb service and always projected a genuine willingness to help. Jeffrey (Ayla) and Joseph (Mis Amores) were excellent. Carrito drivers Fabian, Blanco (Daniel), and others were always friendly. And thank you, Saidy and team - as someone who pays attention to cleanliness, I also want to highlight how impressed we were that the cleaning staff cleaned under the rugs and changed the outside pillow cases. They made me feel that the place was as clean as our own home. The great service at Nayara Resort stands out as does the fresh quality of food and vegetables. In order to make it even better, the resort could think about directly highlighting its sustainability initiatives to its guests; I read a bit about them in one of the LHW books but don’t see them mentioned at all on the actual resort. Signs or information cards to show off all that you are doing is one way to inform guests of your efforts and to attract new guests. One improvement might be to review the amount of salt in the hot Asia Luna dishes. Thank you again to the Nayara team!

Signs or information cards to show off all that you are doing is one way to inform guests of your efforts and to attract new guests. This resort was simply amazing. We loved every minute. Specifically, what was great? The private plunge pools, the beds with netting, the gigantic bathroom, the outdoor shower, the service of everyone from front desk, to restaurants, to golf cart drivers, the food, the hot springs, the regular pools, the wildlife. It was just all amazing. We'll be back!

Top of the line experience. Service, ammenities, beauty, food, and overall experience is well worth the money. Stayed 4 nights during our honeymoon and they went the extra mile to make sure it was special, including complimentary chocolates, champagne, and roses/decorations to celebrate. We are not typically luxury resort customers so sometimes it felt like we should not need such high quality of service, but we learned to love it. The villa was the best accommodation we have ever experienced. Loved how spacious it was and the outdoor showers. The thermal spring pool was especially awesome during a heavy rainstorm or to soak in for a short bit to relax your muscles after a long day of trekking. Did not feel a need to experience the other local hot springs because we had one right in our room. It was great being able to access the other two resorts on the campus and indulge in their pools and restaurants, Ayla being our favorite. Keep in mind the campus is on a hillside and there is a lot of elevation to cover to get from Springs to the Tented Camp, but you can easily call for golf cart transportation to take you anywhere you want - just make sure to budget that time into your schedule. We loved it and would highly recommend for an unforgettable couples experience!

Nayara Springs is truly the finest resort we have visited, in an amazingly beautiful area of Costa Rica. The villa is outstanding; beautiful, perfectly designed, and comfortable. The thermal feed pool outside the room is surrounded by lush landscaping and is the perfect morning wake up and late night relaxation. The staff are always ready to assist and pleasant in every part of the resort, restaurants, excursions, and Spa. In fact, we got engaged while off property and when we returned the staff decorated our room with rose petals. The food is exquisite! Fresh, creative, and healthy. The French Toast is the best in the world!!! The grounds are natural and a true jungle. We saw four different sloughs during our stay the resort. Nayara Springs is truly a top 10 resort in the world. We will be back soon!!!

My experience was pretty good overall. We booked a room with a private hot pool, which does not stay hot the entire time. They were doing renovations next to our room, and they would start at 6 am and end around 6 pm, so we had a crowd of men yelling, laughing, talking, and working with equipment outside of our "relaxing" room/pool the entire time. It did not feel very private. For the price, I hoped it would be more relaxing. I booked the adults-only area, and there are restaurants in that area that are adult-friendly, but some of the restaurants are family-friendly. The one time we booked a non-adult restaurant, we were placed next to an obnoxious family whose kids were running around the entire time, and the parents were super loud. It ruined dinner. So if you are looking for an adults-only resort, keep that in mind. The spa was nice, and you have to take resort golf carts to get around a lot since most of the trails are uphill. Keep that in mind for tipping.

A true 5 star resort. The private thermal pool provided hours of relaxation. There was major construction going on by amor loco restaurant and it was LOUD. I can’t fathom how they were still booking the rooms around that area. They tried to put us in one but we asked to move. I thought that was bizarre. If you have an open room without noise, why not put us there to begin with. We ended up sitting around for a couple of hours until the room was ready. The Mediterranean restaurant at nayara tented camp (Ayla I think is the name) had just revamped the menu and we had dinner there, it wasn’t great, lunch was terrific though. The sushi was decent at Asia Luna. Amor loco was good, service was great. We dined at travesia in town 3x. It was excellent. They cleaned our pool while we were there and the new water pumped in was much hotter. We loved it. There’s a faucet to make it cooler if it’s too hot. If the water is only tepid and you like hot, it wouldn’t hurt to ask them to change it, it only takes a half hour or so. Our personal host was very nice but it would have been great if she was reachable via WhatsApp. This is pretty standard with other 5 star resorts. If we were out of our room and we needed something or had a question for her, we had to hunt down a phone to reach the front desk. They had a message section in the App but I never received a response. The grounds are fantastic, you never have to leave. We recommend and we will be back!

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hôtel près du volcan ( qu’on ne voit pas de l’hôtel contrairement aux photos). Le bungalow est bien équipé ; petit bassin d’eau très chaude individuel avec vue .. sûr rien . Voisins avec musique forte. Nous étions avec une voiture et quand l’hôtel a compris que nous ne prendrions pas leurs excursions, nous n’existions plus ☹️. En résumé un hôtel excessivement cher que ce soit à la nuitée que pour la restauration .

Stunning resort with a fantastic range of dining options, pools and tranquil thermal springs. Possibly one of the best views of Arenal via one of the pools/bars too! The staff were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms (Kings Springs villa) was huge with a double indoor and outdoor shower. Comfortable beds, great breakfast options. I love that you can visit other areas within the resort (Springs, Gardens and tented camps). I would love to visit again!

Our stay at Nayara Springs was truly exceptional. My wife and I travel frequently and stay at high-end properties around the world, and this was quite simply the best resort we have ever experienced. Every aspect of the property is thoughtfully executed. All five restaurants were outstanding, offering consistently excellent food and service. Our villa was beautiful, impeccably comfortable, and private; the warm plunge pool was an absolute highlight (warm from the hot springs!). The grounds are immaculate, the facilities are top-tier, and the spa is perfectly serene. What truly sets Nayara Springs apart, however, is the extraordinary hospitality. The level of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care shown by the staff is unlike anything we’ve encountered elsewhere. I would especially like to recognize Anthony, who went far above and beyond throughout our stay. He was instrumental in helping us plan activities, dining, and transportation both on and off the property, always anticipating our needs and making everything effortless. Nayara Springs is a rare property that exceeds expectations in every dimension. We cannot recommend highly enough and very much look forward to returning.

Terrible customer service had a last-minute emergency and asked to rebook or receive a credit in the hotel simply said no have a great day. Definitely will not be rebooking when we go back to Costa Rica. Will find another hotel.

All of the staff was welcoming and willing to offer assistance at all times. There was always staff eager to point out the sloths and monkeys in the trees. They always remembered our names and what we were doing the day before and would follow up to find out how our day went. The standouts for our trip were Anthony (front desk) as well as Carlos and Christopher (our servers at breakfast). We were enjoying a soak in one of the hot springs and a sloth with a baby came down from the tree next to us about 15 feet away. It was the most incredible experience. The food was expensive, but there was the option to go into town and enjoy local restaurants, which we did a few times. It was nice to walk around downtown, even safe at night. The private plunge pool was an amazing experience, especially when it rained, which was everyday. I would love to come back again, worth every penny. Thanks to the staff, it truly was a pura vida experience.

Wonderful stay at Nayara Springs! The driver who picked us up, Michael, was fantastic. Our personal host, Alfredo, provided superb service and always projected a genuine willingness to help. Jeffrey (Ayla) and Joseph (Mis Amores) were excellent. Carrito drivers Fabian, Blanco (Daniel), and others were always friendly. And thank you, Saidy and team - as someone who pays attention to cleanliness, I also want to highlight how impressed we were that the cleaning staff cleaned under the rugs and changed the outside pillow cases. We had a wonderful time at Nayara Springs. From the minute we walked in to the moment we left, we were met with superb, outstanding customer service from every single staff member there from the front desk, to the golf cart drivers to the restaurant hostesses and waiters. This hotel definitely stands out from others because of the service. This isnt the place for parties or entertainment but it is top tier for relaxation and nature. The grounds are stunning. Highly recommend and cannot wait to stay again!

Top of the line experience. Service, ammenities, beauty, food, and overall experience is well worth the money. Stayed 4 nights during our honeymoon and they went the extra mile to make sure it was special, including complimentary chocolates, champagne, and roses/decorations to celebrate. We are not typically luxury resort customers so sometimes it felt like we should not need such high quality of service, but we learned to love it. The villa was the best accommodation we have ever experienced. Loved how spacious it was and the outdoor showers. The thermal spring pool was especially awesome during a heavy rainstorm or to soak in for a short bit to relax your muscles after a long day of trekking. Did not feel a need to experience the other local hot springs because we had one right in our room. It was great being able to access the other two resorts on the campus and indulge in their pools and restaurants, Ayla being our favorite. Keep in mind the campus is on a hillside and there is a lot of elevation to cover to get from Springs to the Tented Camp, but you can easily call for golf cart transportation to take you anywhere you want - just make sure to budget that time into your schedule. We loved it and would highly recommend for an unforgettable couples experience!

All of the staff was welcoming and willing to offer assistance at all times. There was always staff eager to point out the sloths and monkeys in the trees. They always remembered our names and what we were doing the day before and would follow up to find out how our day went. The standouts for our trip were Anthony (front desk) as well as Carlos and Christopher (our servers at breakfast). We were enjoying a soak in one of the hot springs and a sloth with a baby came down from the tree next to us about 15 feet away. It was the most incredible experience. The food was expensive, but there was the option to go into town and enjoy local restaurants, which we did a few times. It was nice to walk around downtown, even safe at night. The private plunge pool was an amazing experience, especially when it rained, which was everyday. I would love to come back again, worth every penny. Thanks to the staff, it truly was a pura vida experience.

The nicest resort I have ever been to. The staff was amazing and very accommodating & even helped me get a new rental car. I got a 2 hour massage treatment & it was amazing! Close to all of the excursions, all the food was great, & spent a bunch of time at the swim up pool. There was even a sloth that was just hanging out in the trees above the pool every day. Will definitely go back!

Gorgeous property, pleasant surprises around each corner, beautifully landscaped, so much wildlife on property, 3 spas, excellent dining options, many pools and hot springs to choose from, gorgeous accommodations, loved that the mini bar stuff was free, the people were friendly, informed, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Costa Rica. Lots of nearby excursions as well! Excellent service.

Nayara Springs is the closest place to paradise! In addition to excellent service, the rooms, food and amenities are spectacular. The thermal springs and the view of the Arenal Volcano is the icing on the cake. This property is a must-see in Costa Rica!

We stayed at Nayara Gardens in 2021 and this time at Nayara Springs. Our second visit to this property was even better than our first (which we didn’t think would be possible), because we had a pool in our villa. The staff were extremely pleasant and always so cheerful and ready to assist with all our needs/requests. The service, villas, food, and drinks were impeccable, and exceeded our high expectations! Everything we came to Costa Rica for was onsite (rainforest, volcano, hot springs, sloths, birds, spa, yoga, etc), and La Fortuna Waterfall was only a 10 minute cab ride away, so we didn’t need to book a tour and was able to control our length of time spent away from the majestic Nayara Resorts. The only complaint is it takes 3 hours to get there from LIR airport, but it’s absolutely worth the drive and it’s only 2-2.5 hours if you don’t make any pit stops. Take Dramamine an hour prior (or as soon as your flight lands) if you are prone to motion sickness! We will definitely return and hope to stay at Nayara Tents next time!

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet hôtel près du volcan ( qu’on ne voit pas de l’hôtel contrairement aux photos). Le bungalow est bien équipé ; petit bassin d’eau très chaude individuel avec vue .. sûr rien . Voisins avec musique forte. Nous étions avec une voiture et quand l’hôtel a compris que nous ne prendrions pas leurs excursions, nous n’existions plus ☹️. En résumé un hôtel excessivement cher que ce soit à la nuitée que pour la restauration .

Stunning resort with a fantastic range of dining options, pools and tranquil thermal springs. Possibly one of the best views of Arenal via one of the pools/bars too! The staff were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms (Kings Springs villa) was huge with a double indoor and outdoor shower. Comfortable beds, great breakfast options. I love that you can visit other areas within the resort (Springs, Gardens and tented camps). I would love to visit again!

Our stay at Nayara Springs was truly exceptional. My wife and I travel frequently and stay at high-end properties around the world, and this was quite simply the best resort we have ever experienced. Every aspect of the property is thoughtfully executed. All five restaurants were outstanding, offering consistently excellent food and service. Our villa was beautiful, impeccably comfortable, and private; the warm plunge pool was an absolute highlight (warm from the hot springs!). The grounds are immaculate, the facilities are top-tier, and the spa is perfectly serene. What truly sets Nayara Springs apart, however, is the extraordinary hospitality. The level of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care shown by the staff is unlike anything we’ve encountered elsewhere. I would especially like to recognize Anthony, who went far above and beyond throughout our stay. He was instrumental in helping us plan activities, dining, and transportation both on and off the property, always anticipating our needs and making everything effortless. Nayara Springs is a rare property that exceeds expectations in every dimension. We cannot recommend highly enough and very much look forward to returning.

Gorgeous property, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, fantastic food and drinks, and amazing room! Free breakfast was great, you could order multiple items, bread and fresh fruit, juices…the whole nine yards. The onsite bars and restaurants were excellent, a bit on the pricey side but not outrageously so. Went into town in La Fortuna one night but stayed onsite the rest of the time. Wish we could have stayed longer, would definitely come back!

Fabulous property. Staff are unmatched. Dinner is a culinary experience in each restaurant and we enjoyed them all. Drink menus are expertly curated. We saw sloths and toucans daily. Breakfast at Ayla is wonderful as is the buffet at La Terrazza. Breakfast in the room by the pool is nice but the food offered does not meet the level of eating in the restaurants. We enjoyed walking the grounds. The three resorts are truly magical.

Meet and exceeded our expectations for a 5star resort. Our waitress Maria at the La Teraza restaurant was beyond amazing. While staying on top of everything else, she tooo the time share help us get aquainted with Costa Rica and La Fortuna in every area imaginable. She was super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed her company and conversation

Amazing place. Everything was top notch and very very good. I would recommend to anyone BUT….food and drinks are very pricey, thermal tubs attached to rooms are dirty and full of vegetation (never cleaned while we were there for four days) and plant material. Don’t order breakfast to your room, it gets cold easily. Breakfast (included) was very good with great options, but eat at the restaurant if you want it hot. Overall Service is excellent, entire property atmosphere is great, wine pairing meal was outstanding. The property (both meals, room, and drinks) prices itself out of being someplace I would go back to again.

stellar property embedded into nature. beauty at every turn. staff and service impeccable but the food - unfortunately the food across the board but especially at its most expensive restaurant was simply poor. bland. unimaginative, poorly prepared and, sadly, a large flaw in an otherwise 5 star experience. i hope they work hard to change this soon.

We have stayed at Nayara Springs many times. The property has been designed to think of every detail and it is truly first class which is why it continues to get multiple awards including several years as the top resort in Central America. The property and amenities are so nice there is no need to leave but if you desire to do so it is located near many activities and the staff can arrange those for you. The staff assists with every detail and does everything in their power to make your time with them memorable and special. We will return again and highly recommend this property.

Absolutely amazing resort and stay. The staff are so attentive to your needs and beyond friendly. The grounds were beautiful and everything was clean. The resort’s attention to detail is impressive. I would 100% recommend this resort. It’s going to be hard to find another resort like this one - it just set the bar extremely high.

We stayed at several luxury hotels during our travels to Costa Rica and, while all were stunning, this one out-shown them all. We first learned of the place from The Reluctant Traveler and committed upon learning of their sustainability efforts. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and our room was beyond expectations. We loved that they have an adult-only section of the resort. The design of the grounds encourages exploration and we saw a wide variety of birds including toucans, Curassows and Crested Guans. When being escorted to dinner one night, the driver asked if we wanted to take a detour to look for frogs - of course! We loved it! The location is ideal for other activities in the area. The coffee there was the best we had the entire vacation - which says a lot in a country that prides itself on its coffee. If we were to return, we would've stayed here longer.
