We stayed in the family room which was clean and spacious with a good shower. For Banff (where accommodation is v expensive) it is good value for money. The property is very well located just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Banff and there is free parking at the property. As others have commented the breakfast is provided in the fridge the night before and comprises cereal, milk, juice cartons, fruit, cereal bars, microwaveable breakfast rolls, eggs. We tended to eat breakfast out and take some of the fridge food out with us for lunch on walks.

We stayed in the family room which was clean and spacious with a good shower. For Banff (where accommodation is v expensive) it is good value for money. Not what I would consider a traditional bed & breakfast. Distinctly spartan and uncosy, although clean & supplied with all the necessaries. Breakfast was in the fridge and consisted of pre-packaged foods, some of which was dated five months prior (could have been kept frozen up until our stay, but who knows?) On the plus side, there is free parking and downtown is within easy walking distance for able-bodied people, so no struggling to find parking. On a quiet residential street, with no crowds. Overpriced for what we got, but it is Banff, so perhaps that is normal.

Great B&B. Will love to go back again for a better price comparing to other hotel around the area. There seems to hv some water stain or mold at lower corner of the shower. Some spiky weed next the parking around the fence.

Excellent location, some available free parking on site, comfortable beds. Just a note, breakfast is a very generous array of prepackaged foods, not a fresh hot meal.

This accommodation was excellent. The host was very accommodating. The room was well suited to our needs with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. It was within walking distance of shops and public transport. There was car parking available. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend staying here.

Bed was comfy, room was clean and large. The key didn’t work when I returned to my room and it took awhile to reach someone. No answer to doorbell or the phone at door for 3 tries. The green outdoor Christmas like lights (it was early October)are left on all night, hard to block this light and keep the room dark. The breakfast options were mostly high fat and/or high sugar, and/or pre-packaged and over processed. The baseboard heaters make clicking sounds all night, not great for light sleepers. Otherwise it was a safe, quiet neighborhood

Great, cute, clean little place that is right in the heart of Banff Town. Close to all transportation, shops, restaurants. They curate a great little breakfast that is refreshed each day in your fridge. Nice bathroom.

DIY room renovation - looks moldy in the shower no closet to hang coats or jackets "continental" breakfast is packaged convenience (garbage-producing) food placed in the fridge - at least a coffee machine is in the room house looks old/shabby in a nice neighborhood - but it was a cheap accommodation for Banff

Wonderful place to stay in Banff. In a residential area a brief walk from all the amenities downtown. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast in the mini-fridge was well-rounded, tasty, and filling. The owners are present and keep the property very well-maintained. Very grateful to have stayed there on New Year's!

Not a great night’s sleep because every time another guest used shower or toilet we would hear the water gushing inside our wall. The bathroom needs updating and warmer blankets would have been nice also. When we were locked out at one morning it was very difficult to reach hosts.

We were on the second floor -- the steps at the top are extremely unsafe due to no hand rail. The two chairs in the room are very old, with worn seats. Being a bed and 'breakfast' is inaccurate. Breakfast is kept in the refrigerator - its really not a typical breakfast as the name implies. For the price - one would expect an actual breakfast. On the bright side, the beds and pillows were comfortable.

Very friendly owners and they were able to accommodate our request for an early check-in and a main floor unit which was great. Very clean. Breakfast is HUGE - lots of items to choose from and even sandwiches for lunch. The room is small for 4 adults (much better suited for 2 people) and there is no closet or anywhere to hang clothing, I tried to call and left messages but no one returned my calls. I was finally able to reach them at a different time of day when they did answer. But our experience was lovely and I would stay again.

What a great spot! The beds are comfy, the breakfast perfect and the location prime. Elsa was very accommodating when my flight was delayed. I would recommend this B&B to anyone!

The property is in a prime position, within walking distance of major attractions. This is a simple family-run bed & breakfast with a few rooms. It is difficult to contact the owner/staff after working hours (9-6pm).

The owners were very accommodating. Clean facility Great location. Decent breakfast. Beautiful flowers on the property. My only complaint was that we blew fuses twice while running the microwave and air conditioner. Other than that it was excellent.

We stayed in the family room which was clean and spacious with a good shower. For Banff (where accommodation is v expensive) it is good value for money. The property is very well located just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Banff and there is free parking at the property. As others have commented the breakfast is provided in the fridge the night before and comprises cereal, milk, juice cartons, fruit, cereal bars, microwaveable breakfast rolls, eggs. We tended to eat breakfast out and take some of the fridge food out with us for lunch on walks.

We really enjoyed our stay, fridge was always stocked with Continental breakfasts. Also Banff Ave is only 3 blocks away to all the shops, Brewsters touring, Roam transit and dining choices.

Great, cute, clean little place that is right in the heart of Banff Town. Close to all transportation, shops, restaurants. They curate a great little breakfast that is refreshed each day in your fridge. Nice bathroom.

What a great spot! The beds are comfy, the breakfast perfect and the location prime. Elsa was very accommodating when my flight was delayed. I would recommend this B&B to anyone!

Wonderful place to stay in Banff. In a residential area a brief walk from all the amenities downtown. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast in the mini-fridge was well-rounded, tasty, and filling. The owners are present and keep the property very well-maintained. Very grateful to have stayed there on New Year's!

Had a great time in Banff by staying at A Good Nite Rest. My only surprise was the “cold” Continental Breakfast. Although cold there was plenty of food to taste and you can warm up your sandwiches at the provided room microwave. The classification Bed & Breakfast got me though

We were on the second floor -- the steps at the top are extremely unsafe due to no hand rail. The two chairs in the room are very old, with worn seats. Being a bed and 'breakfast' is inaccurate. Breakfast is kept in the refrigerator - its really not a typical breakfast as the name implies. For the price - one would expect an actual breakfast. On the bright side, the beds and pillows were comfortable.

Not what I would consider a traditional bed & breakfast. Distinctly spartan and uncosy, although clean & supplied with all the necessaries. Breakfast was in the fridge and consisted of pre-packaged foods, some of which was dated five months prior (could have been kept frozen up until our stay, but who knows?) On the plus side, there is free parking and downtown is within easy walking distance for able-bodied people, so no struggling to find parking. On a quiet residential street, with no crowds. Overpriced for what we got, but it is Banff, so perhaps that is normal.

DIY room renovation - looks moldy in the shower no closet to hang coats or jackets "continental" breakfast is packaged convenience (garbage-producing) food placed in the fridge - at least a coffee machine is in the room house looks old/shabby in a nice neighborhood - but it was a cheap accommodation for Banff

Parking was tight, especially with someone’s bike locked to structure behind property - we ended up blocking other guests in. Need to replace peeling toilet seat and chairs. Comfortable bed and good choice of packaged breakfast foods provided.

Enjoyed our 1-night stay here in late August 2026. Room was clean, spacious and well temperature-controlled. We appreciated the little shampoo/soap bottles in the bathroom, water, fruit and coffee/tea, and the breakfast that was already in the fridge - especially useful since we were hiking early the next morning. Also liked the off-street parking. It is a 7 minute walk from the start of downtown, something to be mindful of if - I knew about this but others may not.

The owner graciously allowed us to check in early when we dropped by. The room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast (on a tray in the refrigerator) was huge, with much variety. The 2 dbl. beds were comfortable. The room is upstairs w/ a small balcony. It’s about a 3 block walk to downtown Banff.

This property was listed as a Bed and Breakfast. This was NOT a BnB. We've stayed at BnB's in the past. They are usually an older home with multiple bedrooms, access to common areas like a living room and the host usually cooks a homemade breakfast. This property is more like a small apartment complex. We had a private room upstairs (no elevator). The "breakfast" consisted of a tray of food in the mini-refrigerator. The selection was decent with milk cartons, cereal, a couple pieces of fruit, store-bought hard boiled eggs, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich, etc but far from what you'd expect from a BnB. There was no living room or common area and once the "host" showed us the room we never saw him again. It was OK for a nights stay but the description was really off and we felt mislead.
