I booked this place because of the lovely photos of the garden. I found it deceptive that there was no access to the gardens. It was like staying in a YHA but with no amenities or access to grounds. On the plus it is clean and has a good location.

Was simple, but practical. Staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived early and kindly allowed us to leave bags at the property until check in was available. Clean, great location.

I had a great stay! Everyone at the reception desk was super helpful and friendly. They also let us leave our luggage there for a few hours after checking out which was super helpful! Location was great and there were lots of dining options nearby.

Wonderful location in Santo Spirito, walking distance to many delicious restaurants & bars (and wine windows)! Lively streets at night and active mornings from businesses loading in nearby which can be heard from the room but this was worth it being close to all of the sights (10 Min to Boboli Gardens, 15 Min to Piazza della Signoria & Uffizi Gallery). Staff was helpful & pleasant upon arrival, and otherwise we were able to access the elevator & room without needing to check in each time. Keypad access needed after 8:00PM. Room was very clean, shower was very small. Wonderful stay in Florence!

We booked for 4 nights and had a very comfortable stay. We were given a two-rooms+1-bathroom suite with 5 twin-sized beds. Each room opened to a very spacious patio that is shared with two other rooms. The elevator serves only some rooms. The suite came with AC, lots of storage and a mini fridge; a water kettle was provided upon request. Our friends were immediately moved to another room when they reported that the AC in their room was not working. A housekeeping issue we had was addressed immediately. We were able to leave our bags at no charge when we stayed away for one night before returning for the second half of our stay in Florence. It is close to bus stops, and L'Arte di Dory right across is a wonderful restaurant. There are coffee and gelato places on the street and also mini-markets. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a pretty good place to stay. It’s a little farther walk that the center of the city but very manageable. The beds were ok, definitely need pillows that aren’t so flat (but that’s just my preference). The AC saved us! The shower was odd, it leaked all throughout the bathroom and out so be careful. Otherwise it was great for a weekend trip! They let us store our bags for free in their lockers after we checked out because we wanted to do more sightseeing. Good place!

The staff members were friendly, spoke great English and provided bag check service after our stay ended. They also gave us restaurant suggestions and let us know where to do laundry. The suite itself was straightforward and everything in the listing was as such during our stay. Note there is a key for the elevator and a key for the suite itself. We found that the keys were not the easiest to use during our stay. Florence is a very walkable city and our location was around a 20 minute walk on average to the Duomo and various museums.

Very nice place close to the city centre and other beautiful places of Florence. Check in was easy and hassle free and everyone was friendly. I was able to store my bag for free on my day of departure making my last day exploring much more comfortable.

The power kept going out on our floor. The rooms are at best sub standard. The area is great and within 10-20mins from the major points and restaurants. The bathroom really stunk and the shower was pretty much inexistant.

The hotel is actually a private residence in a decent neighborhood in Florence. Proceeds from room rentals are used to help people with various types of handicaps. The single room I occupied was fine for a solo traveler, but, be aware that the rooms were not cleaned at all over the 3 nights that I spent there. Also, the hotel is only staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. On my final night at the hotel, I blew a fuse and had no electricity in the room and there was no one available to help so I had to stay in the dark until staff came in the morning. Hotel staff that I interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful in assisting me with moving around the city. If you're a budget traveler or only need a room for a night, this would be a good option, but, if you are in Florence for more than a night, I would look for another place to stay.

That said, I rated cleaniness lower because: - There was a very strong urine odor coming from the toilet - They said they would do housekeeping once during our stay, but they never came. Other points: - Water was very warm even at cold setting so drinking it was not superb. - There is air conditioning, but a note in the room says we can't use it above 24ºC. - The description says shared refrigerator. It's not untrue, but it's at the reception which has limited operating hours, so you cannot store food when you come back late. They offered us a private one upon request, and it arrived in the room 2 days after. Overall, I wish I knew the little details and subtilities.

Great location, easy to walk to tourist sights and bridges. Room was clean, great air conditioning, comfortable beds and pillows, clean bathroom. Safe, quiet accommodation. Good restaurants nearby. Five stars. Great travel accommodation.

La stanza andava benissimo per noi, ma dava sulla strada e c’era purtroppo un po’ di rumore. Tutto era pulito ed era facile arrivare tardi, dopo la chiusura del reception.

Très accueillant salle de bain très petite. On avait réservé un lit QUEEN et c’était deux lits simples collés avec un drap pour attaché le tout. Bien localisé. Air climatisé plus ou moins fonctionne.

Front desk staff was amazing and very friendly and helpful . The room had all the amenities needed including fridge and hair dryer. Only thing they could improve is screens on windows for mosquitoes.

Un posto un po' vecchio e molto semplice ma molto pulito e piacevole. Durante la mia permanenza era pieno di studenti, quindi ho avuto problemi con gli schiamazzi nei corridoi. La zona è carinissima e molto vicina al centro anche se un po' fuori dalle aree più turistiche (molto positivo per me). Personale molto disponibile e comunicativo.
Un posto un po' vecchio e molto semplice ma molto pulito e piacevole. Durante la mia permanenza era pieno di studenti, quindi ho avuto problemi con gli schiamazzi nei corridoi. First of all, the receptionists were lovely and so so helpful! They provided some really good recommendations. The room was okay and clean. The building was old and beautiful. I have two main complaints that affected our stay poorly. The first being that the room lights up at night every time someone turns on the light in the hallway because there is a glitch between the floor and door. The second is that there were a lot of young adults in the hotel making a lot of noice that echoed through the building late at night. They seemed to be having a lot of fun but they were simply way to loud inside the premises which made it very hard to sleep. Would unfortunately not go back due to these two reasons as I value my sleep to much. But apart from this we were happy with our stay (just not when we could not fall asleep three nights in a row).

Beware of mosquitoes. Many were in our room in early October. Cleaning and towel changes are provided only every 3 days or so. Elevator does not have access to certain rooms. Otherwise location is great, away from the more busy areas north of the bridges.

The reality of this property was different than the promotional materials presented. The front desk staff at check in were efficient but not welcoming, as we had experienced at other properties on our trip. It was not "modern". The bathroom had a shower curtain that separated the toilet from the small shower area. There were 2 paper cups as the only amenity in the room. The beds were a foam mattress on a frame. There was no maid service to refresh the room and provide additional "paper cups". We appreciated the ceiling fan to move the air. We did open the windows at night but the street noisy was too much. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the room because we were there to see Florence, but this was definitely the most disappointing accommodations on our trip.

Front desk staff was amazing and very friendly and helpful . The room had all the amenities needed including fridge and hair dryer. Only thing they could improve is screens on windows for mosquitoes.

It’s an economical hotel with basic amenities. However, for what it is, it does a great job. The hotel is older with tons of character. Despite that, it is very maintained. I had a great stay! Everyone at the reception desk was super helpful and friendly. They also let us leave our luggage there for a few hours after checking out which was super helpful! Location was great and there were lots of dining options nearby.

We booked for 4 nights and had a very comfortable stay. We were given a two-rooms+1-bathroom suite with 5 twin-sized beds. Each room opened to a very spacious patio that is shared with two other rooms. The elevator serves only some rooms. The suite came with AC, lots of storage and a mini fridge; a water kettle was provided upon request. Our friends were immediately moved to another room when they reported that the AC in their room was not working. A housekeeping issue we had was addressed immediately. We were able to leave our bags at no charge when we stayed away for one night before returning for the second half of our stay in Florence. It is close to bus stops, and L'Arte di Dory right across is a wonderful restaurant. There are coffee and gelato places on the street and also mini-markets. We would definitely stay here again!

There is excellent communication from the time of booking. Super responsive nice reception staff. Hotel is perfect with an excellent location to all the sites. Can't recommend enough if you can get in. Very popular place and I can see why. Wonderful experience!

Nice and quiet location, walkable with restaurants around. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Keep in mind there is no metro in Florence, so it’s 25-30 mins walk from the main train station. Taxi is available.

El lugar es antiguo, lo que te hace sentir que estas en europa, limpio, el personal del hotel excelente muy amables, tienen servicio de custodia de equipaje mientras llega la hr de tu check in. No es lo mas cerca que hay del domo, caminando al Ponte Vecchio se hacen unos 15 a 20 minutos, en Florencia no es viable tomar taxi o uber, es muy complicado, pero si estas dispuesto a caminar de regreso a tu hotel por 20 min o poco mas depende de donde te encuentres, esta bien. Caminando a la estacion de tren santa maria novella igual unos 20 min caminando, no es nada del otro mundo, pero si es un punto a considerar cuando de regreso de caminar todo el dia ya quieres llegar a descanzar.

Very walkable to major attractions and surrounded by good food options. Having stayed in a shared accommodation prior to arriving into Florence, this was a great change! There's also a cute "wine wall" just next door that serves a good selection of regional wines. The only downside is that it's located a little further away from the train station. So if you are travelling heavy, the cobble stone pathways around the city area aren't the friendliest on your luggages.

Excelente hotel, super bem localizado, proximo a ponte veccia, um pouco longe da estação central, mas a uns 20 minutos de caminhada. Staff bastante atencioso, internet funcionou bem no quarto, que era amplo, limpo e bem organizado. Este hotel não oferece serviço de café da manhã, mas existem muitas opções de restaurantes nas proximidades. O único detalhe negativo é que o aquecedor do nosso quarto não funcionava e estava bastante frio, mas acredito que era um problema pontual, pois nos quartos dos nossos amigos funcionaram bem. É necessário se atentar bastante ao endereço do hotel, pois não existem placas na porta indicando ser ali.

Basic rooms and small bathrooms facing noisy street an no acces to the garden that makes the false impression of a rural and calm beautyful location in the advertising pictures. Clean rooms, but no evident room service during stay. By complaining the massive nightly noise in the front room We were seitched to a similar room facing a narrow courtyard with a bit less noise for the last two nights. Friendly, but sparse staff. No eating facilities. Reasonably priced but altogether low standard facility.

Floransa merkeze yakın olması çok güzeldi. 4 arkadaştık. Oda geniş ve temizdi. Resepsiyon güler yüzlü ve yardımseverdi. Kaldığımız oda terasa açılıyordu. The staff was very accommodating and informative. The room was spacious and clean and we had a private balcony as well. Breakfast was included and the courtyard and building are beautiful. Lots of veey good restaurants in the area as well.

Very interesting property. Seemingly in a old house, with a beautiful court yard and numerous interesting common rooms. Location is great as its close to downtown but just over the river so not as busy. Okay walk to train station and all attractions but buses are also available. Lots of local shops and farmers markets on Sundays, great to check out. Food options were pretty good but downtown has more. Staff was fantastic and very helpful. Room was clean, good facilities, and was comfortable to hangout in. Bathroom was good as well, clean and well maintained. Bonus - hotel was close to old photo booth, worth doing BUT note that it starts taking pics the second you pay you need to be on the stool to get in the photo. Overall great value for our price - would recommend to anyone.

We had a very disappointing stay and one of a time tourist experience. I have travelled a lot and I personally come from a touristic place and have never lived something like this. We had to bring our little daughter with us at the last minute due to an unexpected inconvenience, but the hotel did not allow us to stay in the same room, even though we asked if she could simply sleep in the same bed with us. We were obligated to rent an additional room and were charged extra. After a very long trip, we found the lack of compassion and flexibility extremely disappointing. On top of that, the room was not nice at all and looked nothing like the photos. It was overpriced for what it was, and we ended up changing hotels the very next day. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We would not stay here again.

We stayed at Foresteria as part of a large group practicing for a choir performance. The reception staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The room we had was very comfortable and air-conditioned with a view on to a quiet courtyard. Our group arranged for breakfast and dinners which were adequate but not exceptional, in fairness I do not think that Foresteria routinely provide meals for guests. In future we would make use of the very excellent range of trattorias and restaurants in the surrounding area for evening meals.
