The resort property is pretty with light blue paint, white trim and peach/white striped awnings. Loved that. The room was recently updated that we stayed in and was clean and comfortable. The bed was a little too firm for my taste but that’s just a personal choice. Breakfast was good at the cafe. Most of the staff were really friendly. However, I don’t think I would stay here again. When I made the reservation it said breakfast was included and the resort fee at the resort would be around $62ish. They texted us prior to arrival which was nice. Upon arrival it was difficult to find where to go. The property owns buildings all over the place. That should have been explained more clearly. Once we finally found the check in, we were informed the building we were to stay in was about a half mile away from the main property and it had no amenities. We would need to go back and forth to eat, use the pools, get a drink, etc. At check in the rep told us where to go for breakfast in the morning and the map said daily water in the room. The water had a $4 price tag on it and when we arrived at breakfast we were told we were not eligible to eat there and directed to the cafe and charged me u pricing. It was not easy to find our way around and to know where we were supposed to be. Given the size of the property there should be more instructions about what is available and where things are located. Very nice property with its own beach. Great location. Friendly staff (especially the breakfast and snack crew - Tina and Ophelia) and clean rooms. Couple things though: 1) Get rid of the air conditioning units with built-in lights. Made the room too bright at night. 2) Keep the beach clean - rake the seaweed that washes ashore. The staff on the beach had a rake but apparently did not know how to use it.

Stayed in the Duval building which was isolated from the main building and the building that had morning breakfast. Overall facility was in a great location for the action on Duval street. Booked through Expedia which did not explain the $ 55 per day resort fee and $40 per day parking - would have been nice to know in advance. Overall good.

Clean, modern, well kept property. Friendly staff, ample parking. Food was fresh and tasty with a good variety from the on-site restaurant. Wide variety of beverage options (alcohol and non- alcohol). Daily text check-ins by staff were a nice touch to ensure all was as expected. Three pools made it easy to find a spot to hang out if that is how you prefer to spend your time. Easy walking distance to all that Key West has to offer. We plan to return in January and again in July as we were very happy with our stay.

The resort pools and little beach with a beach bar are great. The staff service at front desk was very unfriendly and did not make us feel welcome when we first arrived, they separated our group in different areas of the resort even though we all booked together. However, we still really enjoyed our stay by using the pools and beach every day, Good location too

very nice stay with everybody staying there seemed happy and friendly. so i guess that is a reflection of the facility. the pools were nice but the actual ocean beach was small and not groomed as nice as I would have liked. great job on providing clean beach towels and always a resort bar handy. I did find the lounges at poolside were uncomfortabe, no cushion..

Staff very friendly. Free breakfast very good with quick and friendly service. Hotel location was great! Pools were extremely warm. Grounds could have been cleaner. House keeping was not the best.

The resort was very nice. We had a problem when we received our room, it was already occupied. I called the front desk and they hung up on me. It seemed like the staff was not well prepared for the guests. We finally got another room. Also, I don't mind paying an extra $55 resort fee per day but the $40 parking fee per day was a bit much.

The property was beautiful, clean, and conveniently located. The property was much larger than we imagined! The staff was also amazing! Everyone we spoke to was very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again!

The location is amazing with gorgeous waterfront views. The staff is friendly and very attentive. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday and we had a little surprise waiting for us when we arrived. The room was stylish, large, and clean. I highly recommend this resort and would stay here again. The only reason I didn't give it the absolute highest rating was because I wasn't expecting all the resort fees. If you know that going in then you should be fine.

Værelset var ikke rengjort da vi kom. Toilettet var fyldt med ekskrementer, sengetøjet var ikke skiftet, det lugtet. Alt i alt en meget dårlig oplevelse. Vi kommer ikke igen. Indtjekningen tog næsten 40 min. Generelt dårlig service.

Room was too noisey, could not control the temperature in the room. Bathroom was not very clean when we checked in. check in process was a ridiculous evolution that ok half of the first day of our trip. We stood in line for hours to get told we would be comped a room upgrade and it ended up being not favorable. Probably would have had a better vacation sleeping in the bathroom at Taco Bell.

Only complaints we encountered were these; Cleanliness of the room, they only made your bed and replaced towels that’s it and often times didn’t replace all they grabbed to clean. For example a comforter was missing, and robes were gone for several days. We were upgraded to the partial ocean view room from the guest houses and the room we got had a view of the parking lot on the first floor facing north from the south side of the island. Not what we expected. Overall though the hotel was friendly, and had some amenities. Keep in mind for each full day you are there you get charged an additional $55 for a resort fee with a $5 amenities fee as well. Why that’s not included in the room price is beyond my thoughts. The resort was walkable, and the breakfast that was included was a real breakfast and not a continental breakfast. We will be back with a better room placement for sure.

This was a really bad experience. smashed my knee on the corner of the bed many times due to tiny room . floor air unit was super noisy had to turn it off. couldn't find the room (Avalon 439) for 20 minutes on arrival had to go up down around into the back .up again. Then call for help. When I tried to call for help the writing on the map was microscopically small and couldn't read it so had to walk back to the office. Maybe an idea would be to put some room numbers on the buildings as far as where the rooms were inside what buildings and what floors since the numbers make no sense. Just an idea. I encourage management to try and find room 439 starting from the office and see how they make out. Never paid this much for a cheap feeling motel room ($500 plus) in my life. Shampoo in the bathroom was locked down as if teenagers were going to use it and needed to put shampoo back in the right place when finished. I've never seen the interesting shampoo lockdown contraption in the shower in my whole life. Even though I stayed in hundreds of motel rooms. Breakfast and stuff was really good though . But overall . big fail. Feel ripped off and misled unfortunately. For some reason I envisioned a guest house near the beach, not a smaller than average typical motel room away from the beach. I guess that was my own fault for not researching properly and cross referencing the advertised photos and descriptions for accuracy.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Southernmost Beach Resort for five nights and six days and had an absolutely great experience! The resort resides at the southern, more quiet end of Duval Street with easy walking access to excellent restaurants, attractions. Thanks to Timothy, a roving host/manager, we upgraded from a cozy king bedroom in the Avalon House to one with an ocean view and a balcony in the main resort. The room was generous in size with great design in the furnishings and color selections and a spacious bathroom design.The bed was very comfortable. We spent several mornings and evenings on our balcony enjoying the view. The breakfast and afternoon snack hours served at the Dewey House (if you opt for that) with serve-yourself selections and made to order eggs were hosted by Ophelia, a wonderfully friendly person who is legendary at the resort. We also enjoyed meeting Alexa, who clearly wears many hats and is always there to see that the guest experience is top notch. Kudos to the remarkably skilled Chef Tay preparing the eggs and other delectables for guests to enjoy throughout the day. Overall, the staff could not be more friendly and ready to assist. Also, the grounds are impeccably well maintained. And finally, a final thanks to Richardo at the front desk when we checked in and out, answering questions efficiently and arranging transportation from the Resort to the airport (by local taxi).

Thanks to Timothy, a roving host/manager, we upgraded from a cozy king bedroom in the Avalon House to one with an ocean view and a balcony in the main resort. The room was generous in size with great design in the furnishings and color selections and a spacious bathroom design.The bed was very comfortable. We spent several mornings and evenings on our balcony enjoying the view. The breakfast and afternoon snack hours served at the Dewey House (if you opt for that) with serve-yourself selections and made to order eggs were hosted by Ophelia, a wonderfully friendly person who is legendary at the resort. We also enjoyed meeting Alexa, who clearly wears many hats and is always there to see that the guest experience is top notch. Kudos to the remarkably skilled Chef Tay preparing the eggs and other delectables for guests to enjoy throughout the day. Overall, the staff could not be more friendly and ready to assist. Also, the grounds are impeccably well maintained. And finally, a final thanks to Richardo at the front desk when we checked in and out, answering questions efficiently and arranging transportation from the Resort to the airport (by local taxi).

The Guesthouses at Southernmost Beach Resort are pretty nice as you have access to the amenities at the Southernmost Beach Resort plus there is a small pool and exclusive to the guesthouses. The biggest concern we did experience was the varying levels of air conditioning. One of the rooms we had the air conditioning worked very well; however the other room on the 2nd floor barely worked and in July it was very uncomfortable to sleep in. There was also a sizable gap (at least 3 inches) between the door and the floor which didn’t help with the temperature of room. Also providing better instructions on how to work the ac units would be helpful (our assumption as to why the ac didn’t work is you couldn’t run the ac unit and the dehumidifier at the same time but never got confirmation that is actually the case.)

For an adult only complex we were surprised at the after noise by other guest. It was terrible. In room 813 there was a really loud noise. It was non stop. Sounded like air in a pipe. Khala who made our room up was awesome!!!

Beautiful property. Didn't realize just how large it was! Many options. My only comment that is not entirely positive, is the size of the room in the guesthouse, Avalon. It was VERY small...not even room for a chair, but it was comfortable, the bed was nice and there was plenty of hot water. Next time, I think we will stay in the resort itself.

The location is great, and the property is beautiful. It has great amenities - many pools, planned activities and a nice fitness center. The breakfast that is included with the stay is outstanding. A great selection of food, and in a beautiful location on the water. The renovated Avalon is very nice and comfortable. The only negative is that the water pressure, particularly in the shower, was poor.

The resort was great, very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious. Our room, however was very small and the bathroom was tiny. Envision a really nice sink you can barely fit two hands in to wash. A toilet that you have to sit sideways or your knees hit the sink cabinet. The bedroom had nothing you could hang clothes on, no coffee maker, hairdryer, chair or dresser or suitcase holder. It was definitely not as advertised.

Our stay started off beautifully once we found our room. The property is not so easy to navigate until you get the lay of the land. The room in the Avalon Parlour was pretty and unique. We liked the little secluded pool and patio area. The breakfast was great, although you had to take a little trip down and across the street to get to another part of the property where the breakfast room was. It had a lovely beach view and nice selection to get your day started. On the other hand...we noticed right off the bat that our room was much warmer than we liked but thought it just needed time to regulate once we arrived. Turns out the A/C was not functioning properly and after numerous visits to the front desk and plenty of opportunity to fix the problem as we were out all day, we ended up moving to another room because it would not have been comfortable for sleeping, and we felt that for the money we were paying, more attention should have been taken to fix the problem. Not to mention, our room was also not tended to that day. The room they moved us too was underwhelming and typical, a sad departure from the room we initially had. One other thing, if you like your doors to lock from the inside, this does not happen in any of the Parlour rooms apparently, according to Maintenance. Ours did not lock so I placed a large chair in front of the door overnight. Maybe overkill, but it made me feel better. At least the main doors to the building required a key for entry.

The resort resides at the southern, more quiet end of Duval Street with easy walking access to excellent restaurants, attractions. Our check in experience was unprofessional, they sent us to the wrong property and could not find our paid in full reservation. Then offered an upgrade to a room that was next door to the kitchen where breakfast preparation began at 5am. When moved to another room we were reprimanded for not making the complaint earlier and asked that we travel to the lobby a block away to get new keys. Our new room had a TV that didn’t keep a signal and no hot water in the shower. When we left our room in the morning for breakfast, a lizard jumped on our table to eat our food. After breakfast we were locked out of our room because they hadn’t programmed the locks to reflect the time change and assumed we had checked out. When we went to the lobby to officially check out they offered to waive our resort fees, but not the upgrade fee they had originally offered as a comp for the check in hassle. Service is slow, and sassy if you complain.

Very Disappointed. One week before arrival, I received an email from Southernmost asking if I wanted to be on eStandby to upgrade to a King bed- I said yes. The next day I got a call from the resort saying I was being moved to a different location due to renovations and would be upgraded to a King to make up for the inconvenience. They charged me for the upgrade anyway and when I called to dispute it, they were resistant and made a big deal of it as they argued with me over the $112 over-charge. We had a large group of friends staying there - this left a very poor impression with all of us.

The resort pools and little beach with a beach bar are great. The staff service at front desk was very unfriendly and did not make us feel welcome when we first arrived, they separated our group in different areas of the resort even though we all booked together. However, we still really enjoyed our stay by using the pools and beach every day, Good location too

Marilyn who handled the continental breakfast at Duval Garden was amazing. She was very helpful in getting us towels. Friendly, caring and courteous. The front desk was of not help. Do not like the texting way to communicate as we got not response.

The resort was very nice. We had a problem when we received our room, it was already occupied. I called the front desk and they hung up on me. It seemed like the staff was not well prepared for the guests. We finally got another room. Also, I don't mind paying an extra $55 resort fee per day but the $40 parking fee per day was a bit much.

All the privacy and quietness of a small bed and breakfast with the use of all the amenities of a large resort right around the corner. The resort concierge (Jules) was very knowledgeable of the pros and cons of everything they offered to help us book exactly what we were looking for in day trips and rentals without trying to up sell us on anything. The complimentary breakfast was excellent as well right on the beach and the guesthouse inn keeper was wonderful too.

The location is amazing with gorgeous waterfront views. The staff is friendly and very attentive. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday and we had a little surprise waiting for us when we arrived. The room was stylish, large, and clean. I highly recommend this resort and would stay here again. The only reason I didn't give it the absolute highest rating was because I wasn't expecting all the resort fees. If you know that going in then you should be fine.

Clean, modern, well kept property. Friendly staff, ample parking. Food was fresh and tasty with a good variety from the on-site restaurant. Wide variety of beverage options (alcohol and non- alcohol). Daily text check-ins by staff were a nice touch to ensure all was as expected. Three pools made it easy to find a spot to hang out if that is how you prefer to spend your time. Easy walking distance to all that Key West has to offer. We plan to return in January and again in July as we were very happy with our stay.

The included breakfast was amazing...you got to pick anything you want at a ocean front patio...stay also included beach lounges and towels...really also enjoyed the bar in the pool area... they could do better at responding to repair requests.

Loved the property! Our room was nice, I especially enjoyed the outdoor space (front porch and second story balcony) - we stayed at the Avalon House. We used the pool in the evenings and I loved having breakfast and lunchtime snacks at the Beachfront cafe (included). Staff were wonderful. The only downfall was the $50 fee for early check-in. Even the cheapest of hotels will allow early check-in if the room is ready. Other than that, I would definitely recommend

We had an amazing stay for two nights , upgraded to the Dewey house beautiful room great location. Staff were attentive and friendly especially the breakfast crew. The only complaint I had was the restaurant/bar on the premises needs to improve on its service very slow for a supposedly high end venue. Definitely would return.
We had an amazing stay for two nights , upgraded to the Dewey house beautiful room great location. Staff were attentive and friendly especially the breakfast crew. The only complaint I had was the restaurant/bar on the premises needs to improve on its service very slow for a supposedly high end venue. Definitely would return.

Only complaints we encountered were these; Cleanliness of the room, they only made your bed and replaced towels that’s it and often times didn’t replace all they grabbed to clean. For example a comforter was missing, and robes were gone for several days. We were upgraded to the partial ocean view room from the guest houses and the room we got had a view of the parking lot on the first floor facing north from the south side of the island. Not what we expected. Overall though the hotel was friendly, and had some amenities. Keep in mind for each full day you are there you get charged an additional $55 for a resort fee with a $5 amenities fee as well. Why that’s not included in the room price is beyond my thoughts. The resort was walkable, and the breakfast that was included was a real breakfast and not a continental breakfast. We will be back with a better room placement for sure.

The property has a charm to it. The staff especially Oltheia was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. It is close to anything and walkable to everything. It was quiet and peaceful at night and close to activities when we wanted.

We stayed at the Southern Most Resort - specificity the Avalon House. We stayed in the cozy queen room. Yes, it was small but it was prefect for us. Great bed, decent sized bathroom. It has its own, sort of, private pool - shared with a few other guests. The front porch and private patio were also great. The Southern most resort is quite large and offers tons of hang out places and activities. Must dos are the private beach, the beach side cafe and bar. The pineapple bar was also a great plsce for an early cocktail and great conversation. The bartenders are awesome, Todd with the beer tasting was super cool as well. The resort is right at the end of Duval St. we walked the entire length a few times. There are plenty if restaurants, cafes and bars to check out with in ten mins walking. Another great bonus was daily housekeeping - nor seen much these days, Ali’s, the ability to communicate with the front desk via text wax super convenient. Would recommend and stay there again for sure!

The Avalon House is absolutely beautiful. The amenities at the adjacent properties were fantastic. We loved swimming at the pools and dining at the ocean. This is a top notch experience.
