A very nice small hotel in Ayder. The gentleman at the front desk spoke perfect English and was a great help on multiple occasions. be aware: you have to walk up a hill to get to the hotel. An attendant will park your car remotely and transfer your luggage up to the hotel by an electric “cable car”. THis all worked seamlessly. The food was excellent ( with generous portions) MY only complaint was other guests smoking in some of the common areas.

First and foremost, i would not recomment the hotel for elderly people or anyone who has leg/back problems. The only way to the hotel is hiking up a steep hill, and then walking up the never ending stairs until finally reaching the reception. After that there is an elevator that reaches the second floor, and if the second elevator is not working like in our case, and your room is above the 2nd floor you have to continue with your hiking journey walking up the stairs until the fourth floor. Regardless of all the hardship, the view of the room was amazing, it had a view of the waterfall. The room itself was good for a night stay, nothing special. The staff were amazing, starting from the parking lot where we had to begin our hiking journey up until the reception, they were kind and helpful. The staff took our luggage in the parking lot and transported them by a cable-car to the reception. Overall, if you're young and have no health problems the hotel is among the best in the area, it has one of the best views to the waterfall.
