If you are looking for pricey five-star hotel service, this place is not for you; but if you are looking for a reasonably-priced, safe, quiet, clean place to sleep and take a shower this place will suit you just fine. Small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in room. Proprietors are friendly and helpful. Easy access to Hwy 53. Horizons Bar and Grill & Event Center just across the road has good food and drink.

We were on our way to the northwestern part of Wisconsin and this was the perfect stop along the way. It was quiet (although close to the highway), very reasonable and had all that we needed for a good night's rest. Call for the best rates. The owner is wonderful and the accommodations were clean, comfortable and safe. We enjoyed a walk up to the campground area. So much green! So relaxing.

Quaint, country setting - quiet and safe. There is no where to purchase even a coke anywhere nearby, for miles. A vending machine and better access to ice would be helpful. No ice bucket in room. Very nice couple who own property

In today's world of cookie-cutter chain hotels this place is a welcome change. It has the external appearance of a motel you would imagine finding on Route 66, with an interior containing the modern amenities wanted by today's traveler. I stayed in a room with one queen size bed, two nightstands, a small table and chairs, as well as a cabinet with a microwave oven and coffee maker. The layout was done well, with plenty of room for two people. Although older, the quality of the furnishings, the floor, painting and trim on the walls, everything was better than what I find in most newer hotels I stay in. Parking is convenient, the setting is quiet and peaceful, and the proprietors are very friendly and accommodating, too.

The rooms are always very clean and well kept. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The rooms are quaint, and make you feel like you are at home. The motel is located right off the highway but it is very quiet and peaceful. The showers are clean and the hot water is hot like it should be and the flow was great. The scenery was perfect and the fall colors were awesome. We will definately be back to stay here. Some of the other hotels in the area do not have a good reputation. Pleasantly surprised. Room and bathroom were extremely clean. Rooms do not have their own AC units but the owner happily tuned the temp down and provided me with a fan to use (I like the rooms cold) I would definitely stay here again

I travel to this area regularly for work. I have stayed at many of the main brand hotels. NONE of them come close to the quality and cleanliness of this wonderful, "cottage." The rooms look nothing like a motel room, they feel like a cozy cottage in the country. They are immaculate. The staff is kind and accommodating. They were willing to work with my overnight schedule. I booked every stay there after my first night's stay!

For a motel this place is not bad. The room is clean and the two beds were fine. My only issue was that the air conditioner is controlled from the front office. The room last Saturday was very hot. I called and they turned on the air conditioner for a little bit and then turned it back off. It was hard to sleep because the room was son hot all night. If you need the convenience of controlling room temperature this place is not it.

Everything was pretty good. The beds were a little hard for me. The windows don’t open so couldn’t get fresh air in. And no thermostat to lower the room temp. Otherwise it was good, clean and affordable.

The room was very clean and somewhat updated for such an old motel. My only concern was the bed was like a rock not very comfortable at all. Also I feel every Motel and Hotel should have a smoking policy that states NO smoking within so many hundred yards of the facility. They were allowed to smoke right out side the door of their unit which means the smoke and smell penetrate every room on either side. Very unattractive and irritating.

It was advertised that there was coffee and snacks in the morning, however there was only enough coffee in the room for one person and no snacks. The owner charged me about $9 more than what I booked on Expedia. The refrigerator was unplugged when we got there. The thermostat is controlled by the owner who told us if it was not cold enough in the room to let her know. When I talked with her about it she said she can’t turn it down. She gave us a small fan but then came in the room while we were gone and turned the fan off. The shower floor felt like it was going to cave in. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.

All was good EXCEPT for the cigarette smoke coming in the room's registers. We had to sign a form saying we would not smoke or be charged $200 but when reporting the smoke in the room was told there was nothing to be done about it. This was no comfort to one of us with a severe reaction to cigarette smoke. Only option was one of us sleeping in the car. We will not return.

The rooms look nothing like a motel room, they feel like a cozy cottage in the country. They are immaculate. The staff is kind and accommodating. They were willing to work with my overnight schedule. I booked every stay there after my first night's stay!
I travel to this area regularly for work. I have stayed at many of the main brand hotels. NONE of them come close to the quality and cleanliness of this wonderful, "cottage." We were on our way to the northwestern part of Wisconsin and this was the perfect stop along the way. It was quiet (although close to the highway), very reasonable and had all that we needed for a good night's rest. Call for the best rates. The owner is wonderful and the accommodations were clean, comfortable and safe. We enjoyed a walk up to the campground area. So much green! So relaxing.

It was advertised that there was coffee and snacks in the morning, however there was only enough coffee in the room for one person and no snacks. The owner charged me about $9 more than what I booked on Expedia. The refrigerator was unplugged when we got there. The thermostat is controlled by the owner who told us if it was not cold enough in the room to let her know. When I talked with her about it she said she can’t turn it down. She gave us a small fan but then came in the room while we were gone and turned the fan off. The shower floor felt like it was going to cave in. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Owners were very nice. Room was modern and very clean. I was disappointed the restaurant across the road was closed Mondays and Tuesdays since I travel to this area weekly only on those days.

This motel was very clean and the area was quiet. There was not an actual breakfast offered, other than coffee and snacks, but there was a bakery only about 7 miles away the next morning. The price was very good.. especially compared to similar motels.

Excellent place to stay. We highly recommend this... It is tucked away from the main highway and out of the busy city just far enough. Also very versatile with a campground and RV and large truck parking but not a noisy truck stop... Very congenial staff and very cute and clean .... gk
