We were utterly disappointed. It began when Harley texted that no one would be there to greet us due to "world conditions". Seeing the boarded-up doors and windows on nearby buildings, we were concerned. We were never told what she meant. Gardens were overgrown and the pool was unusable. We entered the Camellia Room and found dust everywhere. Paint spatters were on the furnishings and rugs. A paint can lid had been left on a windowsill. Three windows had cracked panes. The doorknob on the outside door fell off. The main doors to were never locked. I contacted Harley immediately upon arrival. My text messages were met with no apologies. We spoke with Harley the next morning. She gave excuses, but here are no excuses for everyday dirt and disrepair. The breakfast was poor. 1st course was a biscuit, jam, & fruit. On the first morning, the 2nd course was a TINY slice of quiche. The next morning, we had a single slice of French toast and sausage. We had two small THIN INEDIBLE pancakes, scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon on our last morning. They tasted like frozen pancakes from Walmart. Every entree was served with a lettuce leaf and slice of tomato. The final course was always a tiny square of pound cake with a bit of whip cream and a single blueberry. We were rushed away quickly, Don’t stay…stay away!

Amazing property, super friendly staff, great communication before & during stay. Great location for exploring historical district & downtown by foot. Lovely swimming pool for cooling down. Gourmet breakfast and free guided historical tour of the house. Stay here and you will definitely be delighted by your choice.

The property was very well kept and nice swimming pool area. We were greeted at arrival and the staff even insisted on helping with luggage. We stayed in the Duff Green room which worked out amazing for a larger family. Can’t wait until our next trip.

The breakfast and tour were fantastic. The Hideaway suite needs to be taken off the option to stay in until a major renovation that goes with the period of time in which this house was built is done. The decor and flooring were shocking in this room. The grounds around the building was completely neglected. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

From the time we arrived to the minute we left, the staff were amazing!!! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The home is elegant and welcoming. We only had one thing that bothered us but wasn’t worth scoring lower for, the bed. The squeak at ever movement caused us to wake each other if we had to roll over. The grounds are beautiful and the location is perfect.

Very friendly staff. The tour guide was amazing. Parking is free but you need to navigate carefully. The rooms can't be cooled below 72 or they leak per the signs in the room. Beware it isn't the properties fault but palmetto bugs do get into the room. We found a couple larger spiders in the bed too. One of the sitting chairs had some type of small reddish bugs under it and I couldn't tell what they were. Overall I'd say the directions could be clearer for where you need to go. We were told the kitchen could make us an earlier breakfast on the day we were departing, however we couldn't get into the mansion. We did stay in the hideaway room so maybe it's different in the mansion.

Loved the breakfast of homemade biscuits and large breakfast! The staff are so nice and helpful! We enjoyed sitting in the back yard by the pool and looking up to the church steeple and watching lots of birds singing.

After arriving at the mansion the outside looked quite rundown (house dirty, paint peeling) and the neighborhood surrounding the mansion was a place I did not want to leave my vehicle on the street over night (if you have a larger pickup there is no place to park off the street). We did not talk to the staff or go inside. We made our decision to get accommodation elsewhere based solely on the looks of the exterior and the neighborhood.

Duff Green Mansion is a beautiful bed and breakfast place to stay. We were welcomed by two amazing ladies! Our room was clean and Beautifully decorated and painted. The bed was very comfortable. Self checkin was so easy and convenient. It’s location was close to nearby attractions in the city! Can’t wait to try their breakfast in the morning! Duff Green was a great place to celebrate our 51st Wedding Anniversary! Wonderful memories were made in Vicksburg!

A well kept 1856 mansion. Beautiful inside and out. Staff was very friendly and made sure our stay was great. If you can't climb stairs to second floor they do have ground level rooms. All rooms are decorated differently. Hope to return to this jem in the south.

We stayed in the Confederate room and it was great for our family. The staff were all very friendly. The home is filled with lots of antiques and fun things to look at. The breakfast was delicious and the tour afterwards was very informative. We would stay again!

I loved staying at the Duff Green mansion! The room was amazing and full of history. The beds and sheets were also very comfortable. The breakfast was also amazing. My son is very picky with his food and he loved it!

We were utterly disappointed. It began when Harley texted that no one would be there to greet us due to "world conditions". Seeing the boarded-up doors and windows on nearby buildings, we were concerned. We were never told what she meant. Gardens were overgrown and the pool was unusable. We entered the Camellia Room and found dust everywhere. Paint spatters were on the furnishings and rugs. A paint can lid had been left on a windowsill. Three windows had cracked panes. The doorknob on the outside door fell off. The main doors to were never locked. I contacted Harley immediately upon arrival. My text messages were met with no apologies. We spoke with Harley the next morning. She gave excuses, but here are no excuses for everyday dirt and disrepair. The breakfast was poor. 1st course was a biscuit, jam, & fruit. On the first morning, the 2nd course was a TINY slice of quiche. The next morning, we had a single slice of French toast and sausage. We had two small THIN INEDIBLE pancakes, scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon on our last morning. They tasted like frozen pancakes from Walmart. Every entree was served with a lettuce leaf and slice of tomato. The final course was always a tiny square of pound cake with a bit of whip cream and a single blueberry. We were rushed away quickly, Don’t stay…stay away!

Called ahead to let them know we would be late for check in they said they would send me a text with all the info to check in late an how to get key , had to call back to get the info then when we drove all night an got there around 10:30 there was no key to our room in the lock box an no one would answer the phone or help us so we had no where to stay after driving all night so we drove 2 more hours an got a hotel in Hattiesburg.

I wish I knew about this little gem! I’d booked it for more than one night. Beautiful bed and breakfast. Missed the breakfast and tour but are definitely going to go back. Casinos didn’t disappoint which are right down the road. Absolutely loved this place.

Highly recommended this place. It’s an historical mansion and each room is different and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is served in an amazing room and the table is set like in the 1800´s. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Just a short walk downtown where you’ll find some restaurants.

This is in a gorgeous, historic home in Vicksburg within easy walking distance of all of the downtown and riverfront sites. The breakfast provided is AMAZING and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful We would happily stay there again if traveling that way.

After arriving at the mansion the outside looked quite rundown (house dirty, paint peeling) and the neighborhood surrounding the mansion was a place I did not want to leave my vehicle on the street over night (if you have a larger pickup there is no place to park off the street). We did not talk to the staff or go inside. We made our decision to get accommodation elsewhere based solely on the looks of the exterior and the neighborhood.

Such a beautiful mansion with fascinating history. The staff were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond in their service. It was lovely to sit in one of the rockers on the front porch in the evening and read. The breakfast was delicious and the table was beautifully set. The tour after breakfast is definitely worth it so don't skip it. It was full of interesting information and history. I'd stay again, with pleasure.

Loved the breakfast of homemade biscuits and large breakfast! The staff are so nice and helpful! We enjoyed sitting in the back yard by the pool and looking up to the church steeple and watching lots of birds singing.

This is difficult to write a review on because I want to give it 5 stars but I can't just due to some minor details. Hard because it's a historic hotel so you don't expect it to be perfectly upkept but it could be at least a little better. Vents were cakes in dust and grime for example that could be cleaned (for a long time overdue). Things like poorly fit ceiling tiles in bathroom, maintenance on outside where rotting boards were being replaced on the deck, things like that are understandable but still can't give a 5 star "yet". They are working on it looks like so hopefully it will continue to improve. Aside from that it was a good stay no major issues.

The owner was very accommodating, super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good. And the mansion was so interesting. They even give a tour after breakfast. Would recommend staying here. You won’t be sorry the rooms were clean. Everything was just perfect.
