The room was quaint with a homey feel. The staff kept the room very clean. Very few amenities. Room included a small refrigerator, television, heat, a/c, 2 sitting chairs, queen bed and night stands. There was no room for anything else. There was 2 chairs and a table outside the door of each unit. The room was VERY CLEAN. The bed was comfortable.

The rooms were very clean and parking was available right across from our unit. The AC worked great and the staff i encountered were very friendly. We drove 10 hours to get there and when I realized we would not be there before the office closed I called and left a message for someone to call back and let us know what to do. I waited about 3 hours and called and left another message, still no call back. Called again about 2 hours later and someone answered and let me know what to do, but they never apologized for not responding at all. Other than that, the room was great for the price.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay during our recent visit to Acadia. I liked that we had designated parking outside of our room. The room was clean and perfect for our needs. The facility is old which is noticed with our bathroom floor sagging and the pool being in bad shape. I was surprised how junky the office looked considering how nice the outside of the motel looked and the cleanliness of our rooms. The spot is within walking distance to several other hotels and restaurants and the free bus.

It is an older motel but had a clean room. It said it provided breakfast and it did. It was a brown bag type with packaged items.the oj was frozen and could not drink. The pool had no water and was not open. It was good for the two nights I stayed as I was just there too sleep and shower while visiting the area. It was close to everything which was a plus.

I liked the outdoor seating areas and the set up of our room. I dont know if every room is like this, but our 2 queen beds were separated by a sliding door. Nice for us with small children cause they could go to sleep and we could still go on moving around in our room!

I picked this motel because the Expedia listing said it had a pool. Very obvious the pool had been out of commission for months. Also said they had kitchenettes - false. Pictures of property & rooms on Expedia looked much better than how run down it really was

Terrible. Room was damp. Walls thin and noisy. Pool half full and out of use. Junk lying around in back. Someone’s trailer randomly placed in back. Some lights out. No mirror in bathroom. Overall a dive. Zero stars. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Everything was fine - bed very comfortable - staff friendly and very helpful and responsive - good space & very clean. The only criticism is that the bathroom could use more updating: newer & more comfortable toilet (higher, oval shaped toilet), plus a new tub/shower area, and especially shower head with better water pressure.

We only stayed for 1 night while in Bar Harbor but the location was excellent. Only 6 minutes from town. The room was very large and spacious and very clean. It's definitely a bit dated but the cleanliness made up for that. There is a stove, fridge and sink that were probably from the 1950s or 60s but all working and sort of charming. We got to choose a continental breakfast and pick it up in a bag in the office in the am which was convenient. The bed was king and huge. I would definitely stay there again.

No shower pressure at all. Took forever to get soap off. It was a dump for the most part. It was NOT worth $244.00 per night! Maybe 60-70 dollars. It was the only thing we could find with a vacancy

The breakfast was all prepackaged. My so wanted 2 hard boiled eggs but apparently each person gets one. It was decently clean but lots of rust and in need of update and upkeep. Floor was sticky.....was it the cleaner used? We could here people in next room. For $200 nt it should have been a lot better!

The cost was too much for what you got. Small room, squeaky slanted bed, no place to hang wet clothes, toilet was child size. Otherwise clean and friendly.

There was a delay checking in because someone else’s room wasn’t ready. The WiFi didn’t reach my room either. I was only 2 doors down from the office. Room was nice though.

Great location and the staff were very friendly. Loved that it was near some restaurants and across the street from pirates cove. The room itself is very outdated and could use a lot of improvements, especially for what you pay.

Property is in desperate need of upgrading and improvements- NO hot water, lock on door didnt work, towel racks in bathroom broken, holes in wall. After notifying staff of no hot water, they did have maintenance address the issue - that lasted for one day, then back to no hot water. Towels are stained. Breakfast is awful packaged, convenience store items delivered to your room in a brown paper bag. Avoid this motel!

No one at the desk on check-in, late afternoon. A nice lady showed up after 5-10 minutes. Room was a bit dated, but clean and plenty of space for 3 people. TV didn't work, no wifi password was evident, and the office was locked within minutes of our check-in. There was an ice bucket in the room, but no ice machine evident-must have been in the office. The bathroom sink, hot water had only a trickle of hot water. Shower had excellent pressure and worked well. We would consider staying again, but would check out the room and its features and report them quickly to the front desk, before departing for dinner, as we did. The office remained locked as we departed before 8am. Suggest a phone number to be posted in the room for any issues that come up for what must be a staffing issue.

The staff was very rude when checking in at our stay. Then the housekeeping came it not once, but twice when we had properly stated we did not want the cleaning services and we were still in the room. The property was quiet and away from the hustle of downtown which we liked and was mostly tidy but very outdated, more so than was expected from reading the descriptions. Also there was a lot of discarded materials and trash laying around the property

Property is in great location. Carpets dirty, staff a bit cold. Shower water cool even after several complaints. Floor around toilet was soft. Smoke detector went off. Bed was ok. Sheets and bedding clean. Poor wifi n tv. Could be a great place with some corrections.

Old school motel that had some upgrading but still pretty dated. Satisfactory for family overnighter while visiting Bar Harbor (downtown hotels/motels high$). Very nice fellow staffing the desk/check-in who stuffed breakfast to go bags because we were leaving earlier in the morning.

Clean quiet room. Close to Acadia. . Nice Lobster place within walking distance. Mini golf across the street. Nothing fancy about the place but fit our needs for a more affordable overnight stay close to Acadia and the carriage trails we came to bike.

Looked for an affordable place near Bar Harbor. And Acadia Pines fit the bill. No frills, decent location and a vintage style motel. Very near to one of the park entrances.

This motel is conveniently located near restaurants, mini golf, ocean access. It is clean and the staff is pleasant. It is very close to road on route 3, the main thorough fare between MDI, Bar Harbor, and the mainland. Unfortunately, it is getting shabby and rundown.

Acadia Pines was a nice, clean old fashioned motel. We only stayed one night so didn’t use a lot of services. It is very near the Hills cove entrance to the park and downtown Bar Harbor.

We were so pleased with how clean the room at this motel was! Also though the room had no amenities to speak of (no bar soap, lotion, tissues), the bed was very comfortable. The manager was very polite and friendly. She worked hard to prepare breakfast to go bags with many choices. Thank you, Yalandi!

The breakfast was all prepackaged. My so wanted 2 hard boiled eggs but apparently each person gets one. It was decently clean but lots of rust and in need of update and upkeep. Floor was sticky.....was it the cleaner used? We could here people in next room. For $200 nt it should have been a lot better!

Staff was neither friendly nor rude. Outdated rooms, could use a tile regrout in the bathroom. Breakfast is terrible and not continental, clearly from a gas station.

We stayed for three days on May 2024. Rooms are very well maintained. Staffs are very much supportive. One thing which we were not happy was breakfast, they will pack the items and give it to you earlier day itself. So, you will not get the fresh breakfast. If you are not looking for breakfast, you can consider this property.

The "complimentary breakfast" was a paper bag to be picked up in the office and eaten in the room. Only two individual pouches of coffee available. Could've used some directions on how to use the heat pump splitter. Room was adequate. Housekeeping cleaned up during the day.

We only stayed for 1 night while in Bar Harbor but the location was excellent. Only 6 minutes from town. The room was very large and spacious and very clean. It's definitely a bit dated but the cleanliness made up for that. There is a stove, fridge and sink that were probably from the 1950s or 60s but all working and sort of charming. We got to choose a continental breakfast and pick it up in a bag in the office in the am which was convenient. The bed was king and huge. I would definitely stay there again.

Did not expect breakfast in a bag. You order the night before (selection was ok). Picked it up in the morning took it to your room to use the microwave to cook the oat meal and heat the muffins, beagles.

Property is in desperate need of upgrading and improvements- NO hot water, lock on door didnt work, towel racks in bathroom broken, holes in wall. After notifying staff of no hot water, they did have maintenance address the issue - that lasted for one day, then back to no hot water. Towels are stained. Breakfast is awful packaged, convenience store items delivered to your room in a brown paper bag. Avoid this motel!

The location was close to everywhere we wanted to go and still far enough from the huge crowds to be very pleasant. The room was a little dated as the online pictures showed but everything inside and outside was well maintained and very clean. The staff is great, helpful and friendly! We enjoyed our three night stay!

This is a quiet location with old fashion appeal. The bathroom had some faded tiles and a there was a bit of peeling wall paper, but the shower had good water pressure and heat. The location was great with two restaurants walking distance. There is also a bus stop nearby at the campground to get you to several locations. If you want to getaway from the hustle and bustle this might be right for you.
