I work in the travel industry and have been blessed to stay in many 5 Star/Diamond rated properties and was pleasantly surprised with the amazing 5 Star service provided by the staff at this hotel. It's not very often that you can say EVERY SINGLE STAFF member that you encountered offered superb service - front desk, bellman, servers, bartenders, housekeeping, maintenance, tour guides, and drivers. It was so amazing that I didn't want to leave and changed my shuttle to a later time. I want to give the staff members a standing ovation. Nice work team. The room was cozy with bug netting (thankfully, not needed), restaurant had delicious options, community areas were plentiful and comfortable including hammocks, and the pool area with large deck was epic with lots of wildlife to see. The ease of getting to/from the ruins was unheard of, especially if you want to do the sunrise/sunset hike. The only criticism I have is that I think the hotel should encourage more eco-friendly behaviors like reusing water bottles (since there is a water refill station in the lobby) instead of providing new ones every time you clean the room and leaving hanging towels to save water consumption. Come on people, reuse and reduce your footprint. Who doesn't travel with a refillable water bottle?! It's so easy.

I loved this stay. It’s located in the jungle of Tikal and you can watch monkeys climb in the trees while enjoying dinner in a place that feels like an adventure. The restaurant and facilities are very attractive and exciting. You are in the jungle so there are bugs and critters, but the hotel is clean and comfortable and feels like an archaeological expedition with a bar. The staff are excellent and I’d like to leave a special shoutout to Braner at the front desk. He was great! The food is a bit expensive and subpar but the opportunity to wake up and explore the ancient Mayan city of Tikal is unforgettable. Truly a once in a lifetime excursion.

Hotel perfectamente ubicado para disfrutar de Tikal ya que el mismo está dentro del parque arqueológico. Organizan tours para ver el amanecer/atardecer en el parque con guías capacitados. La habitación no tenía baño privado pero están cerca y accesibles, así como bien limpios. Bonita piscina con servicios de bar/restaurant. Aunque no funcionaba la ducha.

Location: - amazing and very convenient to get to the ruins. -Beautiful being amongst flora and fauna with clear view of the stars. The jungle gets loud at night so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper Facilities: - shower pressure varied but generally pretty good - the food was decent but obviously overpriced. Many choices for good and drink at the restaurant at Jungle Lodge and a few other choices at the other lodges. - the pool was in major need of a facelift. It was very unappealing and was actually quite disappointed because it looked so icky that I didn’t have a dip, despite the weather being very hot and humid. -rooms are comfortable, clean, and compact, and the bedding was soft and smelled clean. Service: - shuttles are provided at specific times for $15 USD/way or $20USD/roundtrip, which was very convenient and a good price if you’re flying into Flores. - employees at reception were friendly and helped when they could - employees in the restaurant were not as welcoming - it is possible to arrange tours from the hotel but the quality of the guides seems to vary greatly. I did the sunrise tour and was given very little information from the guide. Others in my group were told they would get information on the tour about the temples and the Mayans and did not, which was very frustrating for them. Even without much explanation from the guide, the sunrise tour was beautiful and I highly recommend you try (perhaps from another agency).

The hotel is in a beautiful environment. The plants, flowers, insects, birds, and monkeys, are all amazing. You have to walk to the pyramids so get ready to do some exercise. You also have to buy your tickets for tours and entrance into the part before you get there. I used Banrural. The bathrooms are shared and outside most of the rooms. Internet is poor. The is no air conditioning in the rooms, but there is a fan. Take your mosquito repellent. I would like to come back with my family.

I can’t say enough about this amazing location. I arranged the shuttle for $25 USD for round trip transportation and had to adjust the time due to a late arrival and they were very accommodating. It is within walking distance to Tikal which is very convenient especially after a long day of exploring. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The restaurant, bar and pool onsite are all exceptional. I used the shared bathrooms and showers and they were constantly attended to and very clean. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, der Blick direkt in den Jungle, das Preis-Leisungsverhältnis gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Es war toll, morgens die Tour zu den Pyramiden zu machen und nach einem tollen Frühstück die Mittagshitze im Pool zu überbrücken, bevor ich dann am Nachmittag nochmal zu den Pyramiden ging. 3 Nächte war ich dort und kann die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Auch der Service des Abholens und Hinbringens zum Flughafen nach Flores hat super geklappt und war sehr preisgünstig. Große Empfehlung!!!

We spend 2 nights in hostal part of jungle lodge hotel Even that location is in the middle of a jungle we didnt experienced anything in terms of mosquito's or other insects Grounds and common areas were kept clean and immaculate Friendly stuff Great delicious food at the hotel restaurant Lots of tours offered like sunset ,sunrise and archeological among many others Lots of birds to watch and ither friendly wildlife. Highly recomend

I can’t say enough about this amazing location. I arranged the shuttle for $25 USD for round trip transportation and had to adjust the time due to a late arrival and they were very accommodating. It is within walking distance to Tikal which is very convenient especially after a long day of exploring. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The restaurant, bar and pool onsite are all exceptional. I used the shared bathrooms and showers and they were constantly attended to and very clean. I get it, it's in the jungle so you have to temper expectations, and yet you get the feeling things could have been so much better. Mattresses are extremely uncomfortable and since the place only has power for a few hours a day, the fans go out and the rooms become stuffy and uncomfortable. You basically don't have Wifi or coverage in the rooms. Shared showers are mostly cold water, so not the most pleasant experience. Service is slow and apathetic. When my private tour to Yaxha showed up almost an hour after schedule, they didn't flinch. Thankfully I cancelled, got a shared tour a day later for a fraction of the cost and had a blast. Some of these things were perhaps to be expected, others - not so much,

Location: - amazing and very convenient to get to the ruins. -Beautiful being amongst flora and fauna with clear view of the stars. The jungle gets loud at night so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper Facilities: - shower pressure varied but generally pretty good - the food was decent but obviously overpriced. Many choices for good and drink at the restaurant at Jungle Lodge and a few other choices at the other lodges. - the pool was in major need of a facelift. It was very unappealing and was actually quite disappointed because it looked so icky that I didn’t have a dip, despite the weather being very hot and humid. -rooms are comfortable, clean, and compact, and the bedding was soft and smelled clean. Service: - shuttles are provided at specific times for $15 USD/way or $20USD/roundtrip, which was very convenient and a good price if you’re flying into Flores. - employees at reception were friendly and helped when they could - employees in the restaurant were not as welcoming - it is possible to arrange tours from the hotel but the quality of the guides seems to vary greatly. The hotel is in a beautiful environment. The plants, flowers, insects, birds, and monkeys, are all amazing. You have to walk to the pyramids so get ready to do some exercise. You also have to buy your tickets for tours and entrance into the part before you get there. I used Banrural. The bathrooms are shared and outside most of the rooms. Internet is poor. The is no air conditioning in the rooms, but there is a fan. Take your mosquito repellent. I would like to come back with my family.

I work in the travel industry and have been blessed to stay in many 5 Star/Diamond rated properties and was pleasantly surprised with the amazing 5 Star service provided by the staff at this hotel. It's not very often that you can say EVERY SINGLE STAFF member that you encountered offered superb service - front desk, bellman, servers, bartenders, housekeeping, maintenance, tour guides, and drivers. It was so amazing that I didn't want to leave and changed my shuttle to a later time. I want to give the staff members a standing ovation. Nice work team. The room was cozy with bug netting (thankfully, not needed), restaurant had delicious options, community areas were plentiful and comfortable including hammocks, and the pool area with large deck was epic with lots of wildlife to see. The ease of getting to/from the ruins was unheard of, especially if you want to do the sunrise/sunset hike. The only criticism I have is that I think the hotel should encourage more eco-friendly behaviors like reusing water bottles (since there is a water refill station in the lobby) instead of providing new ones every time you clean the room and leaving hanging towels to save water consumption. Come on people, reuse and reduce your footprint. Who doesn't travel with a refillable water bottle?! It's so easy.

My issue with this place is that I asked for a simple breakdown of my cost after I stayed with them (asked twice), and they just didn't respond. I believe they charged me extra for the shuttle when I only took it one way. Would stick with one of the other 2 lodges in Tikal.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, der Blick direkt in den Jungle, das Preis-Leisungsverhältnis gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Es war toll, morgens die Tour zu den Pyramiden zu machen und nach einem tollen Frühstück die Mittagshitze im Pool zu überbrücken, bevor ich dann am Nachmittag nochmal zu den Pyramiden ging. 3 Nächte war ich dort und kann die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Auch der Service des Abholens und Hinbringens zum Flughafen nach Flores hat super geklappt und war sehr preisgünstig. Große Empfehlung!!!

The hotel was amazing. Incredible location and great amenities (watch monkeys while you sit in the pool). The biggest difficulty was communicating with the hotel. I texted them via Whatsapp several times a month before my trip to confirm the reservation and request hotel transportation and the sunrise hike in Tikal. Of the four people who responded to my texts (often 12 hours late), two confirmed my reservations while two said they could not find it even with the hotels.com itinerary number. They eventually said they found it but under a different number. I was nervous we would arrive at the airport and have no transportation for the 1.5 hour trip to the hotel. We did, but they did not have our names on the return shuttle and were lucky there was extra space. Incredible location, right next to Tikal, but coordinating logistics is incredibly difficult and stressful.

I loved this stay. It’s located in the jungle of Tikal and you can watch monkeys climb in the trees while enjoying dinner in a place that feels like an adventure. The restaurant and facilities are very attractive and exciting. You are in the jungle so there are bugs and critters, but the hotel is clean and comfortable and feels like an archaeological expedition with a bar. The staff are excellent and I’d like to leave a special shoutout to Braner at the front desk. He was great! The food is a bit expensive and subpar but the opportunity to wake up and explore the ancient Mayan city of Tikal is unforgettable. Truly a once in a lifetime excursion.

The hotel is perfect, in the middle of the national park and just a few steps from the entrance to Tikal, it is easy to walk to the archaeological site from there. The negative point was the shuttle hired to pick you up from the airport to the hotel. The driver kept using his phone while driving, then he hurried to make up for lost time and ran over and killed a dog. Terrible.
The hotel is perfect, in the middle of the national park and just a few steps from the entrance to Tikal, it is easy to walk to the archaeological site from there. Many choices for good and drink at the restaurant at Jungle Lodge and a few other choices at the other lodges. - the pool was in major need of a facelift. It was very unappealing and was actually quite disappointed because it looked so icky that I didn’t have a dip, despite the weather being very hot and humid. -rooms are comfortable, clean, and compact, and the bedding was soft and smelled clean. Service: - shuttles are provided at specific times for $15 USD/way or $20USD/roundtrip, which was very convenient and a good price if you’re flying into Flores. - employees at reception were friendly and helped when they could - employees in the restaurant were not as welcoming - it is possible to arrange tours from the hotel but the quality of the guides seems to vary greatly. I did the sunrise tour and was given very little information from the guide. Others in my group were told they would get information on the tour about the temples and the Mayans and did not, which was very frustrating for them. Even without much explanation from the guide, the sunrise tour was beautiful and I highly recommend you try (perhaps from another agency).

The hotel is perfect, in the middle of the national park and just a few steps from the entrance to Tikal, it is easy to walk to the archaeological site from there. The negative point was the shuttle hired to pick you up from the airport to the hotel. The driver kept using his phone while driving, then he hurried to make up for lost time and ran over and killed a dog. Terrible.

I can’t say enough about this amazing location. I arranged the shuttle for $25 USD for round trip transportation and had to adjust the time due to a late arrival and they were very accommodating. It is within walking distance to Tikal which is very convenient especially after a long day of exploring. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The restaurant, bar and pool onsite are all exceptional. I used the shared bathrooms and showers and they were constantly attended to and very clean. I work in the travel industry and have been blessed to stay in many 5 Star/Diamond rated properties and was pleasantly surprised with the amazing 5 Star service provided by the staff at this hotel. It's not very often that you can say EVERY SINGLE STAFF member that you encountered offered superb service - front desk, bellman, servers, bartenders, housekeeping, maintenance, tour guides, and drivers. It was so amazing that I didn't want to leave and changed my shuttle to a later time. I want to give the staff members a standing ovation. Nice work team. The room was cozy with bug netting (thankfully, not needed), restaurant had delicious options, community areas were plentiful and comfortable including hammocks, and the pool area with large deck was epic with lots of wildlife to see. The ease of getting to/from the ruins was unheard of, especially if you want to do the sunrise/sunset hike. The only criticism I have is that I think the hotel should encourage more eco-friendly behaviors like reusing water bottles (since there is a water refill station in the lobby) instead of providing new ones every time you clean the room and leaving hanging towels to save water consumption. Come on people, reuse and reduce your footprint. Who doesn't travel with a refillable water bottle?! It's so easy.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, der Blick direkt in den Jungle, das Preis-Leisungsverhältnis gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Es war toll, morgens die Tour zu den Pyramiden zu machen und nach einem tollen Frühstück die Mittagshitze im Pool zu überbrücken, bevor ich dann am Nachmittag nochmal zu den Pyramiden ging. 3 Nächte war ich dort und kann die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Auch der Service des Abholens und Hinbringens zum Flughafen nach Flores hat super geklappt und war sehr preisgünstig. Große Empfehlung!!!

I loved this stay. It’s located in the jungle of Tikal and you can watch monkeys climb in the trees while enjoying dinner in a place that feels like an adventure. The restaurant and facilities are very attractive and exciting. You are in the jungle so there are bugs and critters, but the hotel is clean and comfortable and feels like an archaeological expedition with a bar. The staff are excellent and I’d like to leave a special shoutout to Braner at the front desk. He was great! The food is a bit expensive and subpar but the opportunity to wake up and explore the ancient Mayan city of Tikal is unforgettable. Truly a once in a lifetime excursion.

We recommend this property if you want to disconnect and be in contact with nature. If you are planning to see the sunrise at Tikal -is a good choice to stay in this hostal because of its location. Food is average.

We spend 2 nights in hostal part of jungle lodge hotel Even that location is in the middle of a jungle we didnt experienced anything in terms of mosquito's or other insects Grounds and common areas were kept clean and immaculate Friendly stuff Great delicious food at the hotel restaurant Lots of tours offered like sunset ,sunrise and archeological among many others Lots of birds to watch and ither friendly wildlife. Highly recomend

I had mixed feelings about my stay. While the hotel presents itself as a leading option in the area, I honestly expected better basic amenities. Some essential things were missing for example, there were no bed sheets provided in the room, which is something very simple but important. Another issue was with the shared showers in the common areas, where the water was constantly running hot and couldn’t be properly adjusted. This made the experience less comfortable than it should have been. That said, I want to highlight that the staff were friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciated their attitude and effort to help. Overall, I believe that a place positioning itself at this level should offer more complete and better-maintained facilities.

Lovely place in the Tikal Jungle. Food was delicious. We stayed in the Hostal (without private bathroom) but the showers and toilets were close by and cleaned regularly. I understand that everything needs to be brought in but it would be nice if drinking water was available to fill water bottles instead of the constant need to use plastic bottles. Perhaps a goal for a greener future.
