Casa Santurce

Absolutely horrible. No hot water. It was not clean. The aircon worked. Paid for room with bathroom and was told to use dorm bathroom. Reception is not open during the said hours. I was supposed to store my luggage but nobody was there to open it. Absolutely horrible stay.

This place is not very fancy but typic local place to enjoy the real lifestyle in San Jose A bar front to this place is a bit noisy but fun. Bartenders or at the casa office are not very friendly or welcoming but they do just them jobs compared to the Californians people who are very friendly and smiling ☺️ Whatever, it’s a nice place for experience

Decent room for a good price, but other lodgers were partying loudly until at least 3 am. If the hostel has quiet hours they’re not enforced! Local roosters starting crowing about 5 am, so unless you’re a very sound sleeper bring noise canceling headphones. Area is active but kind of sketchy - good for partying if that’s your jam. Very friendly resident cats and convenient kitchen facilities.

When we arrive,they were suppose to put us on ground floorRoom was on2floorMy husband hav to take up our bags by himselfThen come down&help me upRoom look cleanBathroom was so sm my husband couldnt fit in showerWhen he took shower it flood bathroom floorSink not attached to wallBed only had flat sheet on top&2pillow cases on2pillowsFitted sheet on mattressNo bedspread covering bed as in pics on appAC did workNext morn my husband help me get down the stairsThey move us bottom floor 1room not have workingAC&out of reach at ceiling lvl 2nd choice next door to officeBigger bathroom that didnt flood Pics had micwave in rooms,none thereWe went out after room was fix&move inGot breakfast&grocers to eat for next4dayGang tags all over placeOnly had wifi from10am-10pmNext door neighbor had chickens&when wind blow just right smelt like sewageThat night building across street bar in it,until2am people came from bar&set on stairs&talk loudly&smoke nearAC,made room smell of smokeWe later found out owner also own hostelFrench man works there,ugly toward seniorsMy husband went to kitchen on 2floor to cook dinnerWhen finished had crowd of people watching him cookSo employees assumed he was smartAsk him to fix handrailingThey brought to him&other thingsOn3floor was terrace with man sleeping on metal bedHe was so lg he need some1 to help him get upSo everytime my husband went up there he would ask for helpAfter4days there,we left for our cruise,early!!!!!Pic they took of place was not the truth
