The shared bathhouse consisted of one sink, one toilet and one shower stall in an unheated building. This bathhouse was an inconvenient distance if one was in urgent need of a toilet. Two portapotties were closer but both were full and really needed to be emptied. One had no sanitizer the other had no toilet paper. The tipi we stayed in was okay. It was primitive but we expected that. The bed sheets and pillows were very worn. The breakfast was good and the natural setting was beautiful.

The tent we stayed was very spacious and clean. We had extra blankets which came in handy as the nights were cool. There was limited lighting in the tent, and the amenities were a fair distance away. Portable toliets were available closer to the tent.

No towels. Didn’t give us any instructions for internet, found out later, no towels, had to ask, didn’t know there were flushing toilets. Only 2 showers for the whole place? Portable Outhouse was dirtier than some prom

When you read what is included in the tent stay at Lonesome Dove on Hotels.com you think you’re going to be “Glamping”…37 inch TV and all the other amenities it says it has! It has none of them except for the beds in the tent and the incredible breakfast! Other than that…which isn’t enough to warrant the price paid nothing they said was available was actually available! There are 4 tents with beds and 4 Teepee tents with beds! There is one women’s bathroom and one men’s! On the second morning we went to the bathhouse and there was no electricity and when you call the number you’re supposed to call it goes to voicemail and the message center is full! Had to go bang on the owners door to get someone to help! It took almost an hour to get electricity in the bathhouse and it kept shutting off and on! It appears they want to be profitable…hence the high price for a tent with beds but they do NOT have their act together yet! We did go horse back riding there and it was a wonderful experience! At breakfast you can choose to sit alone or with others and we made lifetime friends sitting with others! Also the road into the place is primitive!

Bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets for the chilly morning. Cool ranch atmosphere, but could be so much more. To get to the bathroom/shower you have to walk about 10-15 min. There is a porta potty closer, but I don't consider that "glamping". Also, there are led lights along the path to the bathroom to light the way at night , however only about 1/4 of them are working, so it's pretty dark! Mostly though, as beautiful as the ranch is-there is a lot of useless trash (metal, wood/vehicles/etc) laying around everywhere. The breakfast was good-a little late for early riserers. A good clean-up would help. Overall, I'd probably go again, but wouldn't expect as much.

The idea is great, but the implementation is not. There were 4 wall tents and 4 tipis and only one shower/sink/toilet for males and one for females. The bathhouse was located about 150 yards from the camping area down an unlit path in bear country. There was no shade for the tents/tipis or the picnic tables (there were only 3). Even in July, the temperature reached the low 50s at night, yet we were given only 2 fleece blankets. Luckily, we had jackets that we were able to sleep in. If you're looking for something very different/off the beaten path/rustic, then try it out. If rustic and limited amenities isn't your thing, then find somewhere else.

We were very surprised that the only shower, or bathroom ,available to the Tipis and tents was a quarter mile walk that you could not drive to. The nearby portapotty was not clean and lacked much paper. And if you stay in the Tipis their ceiling is wide open to any rain. Everyone froze at night if they didn't bring their own sleeping bag, the one thin blanket supplied was not enough. The first impression of the place was Appalachia. The breakfast was good.

Wonderful rustic setting and very friendly people. There was a small kerfuffle on check in. They didn’t seem to have record of our confirmation. Luckily I had your confirmation on my phone. But they couldn’t have been more welcoming. They need to mention that dinner reservations are required with 24 hour notice but town isn’t far. And the food products they produce on site is very local and good. Peaceful.

we were unaware of the restaurant not being opened one reason we picked is, so we did not have to drive more than we had to. It is not handicap accessible so i had to drive my mom closer to the bathroom and staff was not friendly about me doing that. I signed up for 3 people and at the last-minute my sister decided to join us. there was no one there to tell them that. We decide it was too far from hospital and decided to move into town, so i called to see if we could get our money back due to the circumstances and that is when they made me feel like i was a criminal for not telling them my sister would be with us. I will never go back, and I will not recommend this place to anyone. and I know a lot of people.

It was just as advertised. The tent was comfortable, not heated, but the beds had warm blankets and we slept very well. The breakfast was outstanding. The bathhouse was a few minutes away. It would be nice in the future to expand it, since there was only one unit for men and one for women. The tent had no electricity, but we had a portable battery. Maybe you could run a line out to the tents, to at least provide one outlet. The wifi was adequate. These are only suggestions; we were very satisfied with our stay. My son even said he would definitely stay there again.

Quiet and great concept. Cleanliness needs to be improved at the dining room and in the cabin. Breakfast for our table mates was basically inedible with burned and dried out sausages. My griddle cakes were thin and crunchy compared to the nice cakes on another’s plate. Manager receptive to hearing about the cabin cleanliness. Did not have the heart to add on complaints about the food.

The floor, rugs, abd furnishings were covered in thick layer of dust. The air conditioner filter hadn't been cleaned. So I rinsed the filter, rolled up the rugs and put on the porch, then went to the store and porcha dust mop and cleaned the floor and under the bed 4 times. That's how much dust there was. It meant I could finally breath. The blankets probably needed to be washed too, but fortunately we had a blanket with us. Nice stay after that. Montana is dusty. That's life.

Nice area. Quiet in nature surroundings but the cabins are poorly maintained. The main bed was ok the couch and the loft bed were terrible. We had to sleep on one bed because the couch bedding was dirty and the mattress on it were basically springs. Poorly cleaned. Too bad because the surroundings are nice and the owners are nice. All it needs is to be maintained and cleaned better.

The listing said there was a tv. There was, but we couldn’t get any channels and the office was closed the first evening we tried to use it. The bedding was many years old and needs updating. The pillows were horrible, old, lumpy. They need to be thrown out and replaced. There needs to be more lighting in the bathroom and a mirror above the sink. It took me 10 minutes to put my contacts in because I simply couldn’t see. There were no wash clothes in the bathroom. We removed the “air freshener” right away as I’m allergic to scents like that, plus it smelled horrible. Also, I believe when air freshener type devices are used that they are trying to cover up existing odors, which I’m sure was the case. We only stayed there for 1 out of the 3 nights booked and chose to stay at a much nicer hotel in town. We lost a lot of money booking this place and obviously wouldn’t ever stay there again. It was a BIG waste of money. The description was extremely misleading. A refund offer would be appreciated.

Lovely rustic property. Great walking around. Saw Bear deer and cats were friendly. Staff was friendly. Cleaning crew could use some coaching. Very comfortable and best sleep. Animals on property fun to see and watch. Breakfast was lovely Lorie better with children than two adult couples

Difficult to find cabin after dark. The room was filthy. 2 inches of dust under the bed. Ceiling fan coated in dust and spider webs. I felt sorry for the lone buffalo. Small pen. Coffe cup had dried creamer in bottom. Contacted front desk for clean cups. They never returned my call

The staff in the office was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Our cabin was very nice, although I didn't like the sheer curtains in the bathroom and the water in the shower came out in a trickle. The property could use a good cleaning out - there was trash and things that should have been carted away all over. The lone bison made me sad as they are herd creatures, and she has to spend her life alone as her only other companion died a few years ago. There are deer that apparently live on the property, as well as horses, cows, and pigs. There are several decent restaurants fairly close, and the town of Kalispell isn't very far. The scenery is beautiful. It's about an hour and a half to Glacier National Park.

I like the concept. The presentation is lacking. I found 2 different wifi instructions- neither one worked. There is nothing posted about checkout times. The bed was comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was good. The room was clean.

The cabins are cozy and nice. Tipis are a little too spartan, far from bathrooms and very cold ( no heat) when I stayed (41 degrees at night). Staff pleasant.

The listing said there was a tv. There was, but we couldn’t get any channels and the office was closed the first evening we tried to use it. The bedding was many years old and needs updating. The pillows were horrible, old, lumpy. They need to be thrown out and replaced. There needs to be more lighting in the bathroom and a mirror above the sink. It took me 10 minutes to put my contacts in because I simply couldn’t see. There were no wash clothes in the bathroom. We removed the “air freshener” right away as I’m allergic to scents like that, plus it smelled horrible. Also, I believe when air freshener type devices are used that they are trying to cover up existing odors, which I’m sure was the case. Our stay was okay. Positives: shared bathroom/shiwer was clean and had a space heater for warmth which was nice. Check-in lady was very nice and ranch grounds had horses nearby. Not so good: was told breakfast and coffee started at 6am, we were there at 6:30am since we had an early start and they were not open so that was disappointing. Also, the evening we stayed was very cold and there were not enough blankets on the beds so suggest to plan to bring some if visiting in cooler times of the year.

Stayed in the Tee-Pee. No heat, no electricity, very poor internet. If you don’t care about those things and want to rough it. The Tee-Pee may be for you. Overall experience was not bad for myself.

Me, my wife and two kids had a great experience. The farm animals were very cute and friendly. Cabin had heater, AC, WiFi, and good cable TV. The loft sleeping area was a big hit with the kids! Breakfast was hand-made to order in a classy dining room full of antique and historical displays. Gift shop had many unique items for sale.

Where do I begin, first off the property is awesome, peaceful and beautiful. BUT we got there and the heaters (3) did not work, it was a very cold sleep. The next day we noticed that we had no coffee or utensils, we were given coffee and utensils. We were given a heater but that still left the bathroom freezing. We only had 1 facecloth which was corrected. Later the first day we found that the only water coming in the shower was scalding hot, we could not shower. When we attempted to watch TV it wouldn't connect to the internet so there was no TV to watch. The next morning we wanted to have coffee and the coffee was broken and wouldn't brew. The final thing was that the breaker would blow everytime we used the microwave. Despite all of this we would definately go back but we'd make sure they verify that everything works

It was just as advertised. The tent was comfortable, not heated, but the beds had warm blankets and we slept very well. The breakfast was outstanding. The bathhouse was a few minutes away. It would be nice in the future to expand it, since there was only one unit for men and one for women. The tent had no electricity, but we had a portable battery. Maybe you could run a line out to the tents, to at least provide one outlet. The wifi was adequate. These are only suggestions; we were very satisfied with our stay. My son even said he would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful rustic setting and very friendly people. There was a small kerfuffle on check in. They didn’t seem to have record of our confirmation. Luckily I had your confirmation on my phone. But they couldn’t have been more welcoming. They need to mention that dinner reservations are required with 24 hour notice but town isn’t far. And the food products they produce on site is very local and good. Peaceful.

I will start that I was super excited about staying here, booked way in advance, and was ready for this Montana experience. It ended up with leaving and trying to find a hotel in Kalispell on Labor Day weekend, and paying for two stays. In communication with what I’m assuming was the owner, she basically called me a liar in all accounts. Started with saying the office was open, even though it clearly said closed. She stated I never picked up the map and instructions and they were still in the mailbox, even though I have the map in my possession. She stated I never called to report a problem, which my call log on my phone shows otherwise. She said I went to the wrong tent and that is why it wasn’t made up and I could call some random guy to talk to him about him leaving late, even though I went to the tent that was designated, called someone and they came down not once but twice and never said anything about me being in the wrong spot. It WAS the tent on the map! The bedding /tent was dirty and stained, which I also have photos of. Now I’m a country girl and fully understand that I’m not in a five star hotel, but cleanliness isn’t to much to ask for. It was disgusting. When I said I would forward over my phone log, pictures, and a copy of the map she said I didn’t have….communication completely stopped. Customer service and respectable communication speaks volumes, as well as cleanliness. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay!

we were unaware of the restaurant not being opened one reason we picked is, so we did not have to drive more than we had to. It is not handicap accessible so i had to drive my mom closer to the bathroom and staff was not friendly about me doing that. I signed up for 3 people and at the last-minute my sister decided to join us. there was no one there to tell them that. We decide it was too far from hospital and decided to move into town, so i called to see if we could get our money back due to the circumstances and that is when they made me feel like i was a criminal for not telling them my sister would be with us. I will never go back, and I will not recommend this place to anyone. and I know a lot of people.

We had a great evening at the property and enjoyed our stay in a tipi. The shared bathhouse was a ways from our accomodation but it was clean and had seperate showers and toilet areas. Linens, warm bedding, towels, and lanterns were provided with our accommodation. I could see how it may be chilly parts of the year, but we had all we needed for our stay in mid-June. Great, quiet location I would book again!

This place is so unique. It’s totally warm atmosphere like you came to visit your far away family. Farm around, so you can see chickens, horses, cows and even buffalo. I’m a city girl, it was so amused by it. Two friendly cats can meet and welcome you outside. Even wild turkey visited us! They ran to me as soon as I other door. And night! Omg! Those stars!!! You can’t see them in the city! You can make fire and gather together with another guests. Did I mentioned breakfast? Farm eggs! I ate my plate! Homemade huckleberry syrup! Definitely definitely go here! You won’t regret!

Great home like feel. Casual and accommodating with THE BEST home cooked breakfast I have had at an overnight stay. The tipi was perfect with a friendly cat that visits and even a lovely bird fluttering around inside for a natures alarm clock:) Deer roaming around and a nice fore pit for use by all. Easy pull up right next to your unit for easy unpacking and repacking. The drive into town is short and sweet with a sense that you are truly out of the hustle and in touch with the outdoors. I would definetely stay here again.

It was a peaceful place to stay! We went riding on the trail woth Robin, who was very knowledgeable, and told us a lot about the property. It was a little bit of a drive to Glacier National Park, but you didn't notice it so much, with all the beautiful scenery around you!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a tipi at Lonesome Dove for two nights. The environment was quiet, beautiful and peaceful. The morning breakfast was generous and delicious. If you are a person who loves being in Nature, you will enjoy this place as I did!

This cabin had rustic charm. They served breakfast, but it did not start till 8:30, so we did not get that. We had to be on the road a lot earlier than 8:30. They had several different animals including horses, a buffalo, chickens, etc.The people were very nice there.

Contacted them the day of to confirm it was okay for a late check in. The employees were great. The bed was alright, walking to the restroom at night was a little much but the place feels very safe. The horses and bison on the ranch were all fun to see and pet.

My griddle cakes were thin and crunchy compared to the nice cakes on another’s plate. Manager receptive to hearing about the cabin cleanliness. Bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets for the chilly morning. Cool ranch atmosphere, but could be so much more. To get to the bathroom/shower you have to walk about 10-15 min. There is a porta potty closer, but I don't consider that "glamping". Also, there are led lights along the path to the bathroom to light the way at night , however only about 1/4 of them are working, so it's pretty dark! Mostly though, as beautiful as the ranch is-there is a lot of useless trash (metal, wood/vehicles/etc) laying around everywhere. The breakfast was good-a little late for early riserers. A good clean-up would help. Overall, I'd probably go again, but wouldn't expect as much.

The website we booked through made it seem like there was electricity to some of the tents, there is none at all. The tents are too close to each other. Staff was not very friendly other than the one lady that checked is in. They said free full breakfast but nobody is around the property until 830, nothing to eat until after that. Not convenient at all.

They were very not organized. The breakfast came out servings one to two of us at time out of seven. The eggs were not cook right and the food was cold. The wait staff was super nice. There was mole in the cabin bathroom.

Its a ranch, nothing fancy. Our tent was exactly as pictured and met my expectation. The communal bathroom is a bit of a walk through a dirty grass path. The facilities match what I've experienced camping. If the bathhouse was closer and on a better path it would help. Was not letting wife walk at 0300 alone to pee. Only other issue is breakfast at 0830. Was up at 0500ish and headed out. No was i was hanging out for a meal and coffee. 0830 is a very late start. Overall, a good place to sleep.

Booked a wall tent the Orbitz site didn’t make it clear that there was no electricity to the tipi and wall tents. The other guests we talked to that were staying there told us they didn’t know either and just found out when they got there. The bed was comfortable but no way for heat was provided it was truly just camping with a better bed. They only provided a small light that was very dim and not safe when your walking to a shared bathroom in bear country. The Property had lots of trash laying around and the chicken and ducks didn’t have clean water. The Orbitz site said breakfast was at 8 we waited as we were needing to get on the road but when it didn’t open by 815 we knocked on the door to ask if there was a misunderstanding, the staff just stared at us through the window. We opened the door an called in to ask if breakfast was still being served that day as we read it was at 8 they were very rude an told us it wasn’t till 830 and the website didn’t say 8. The situation could have been handled so much better by them.

We stayed 3 nights in the tipi. It was fun and very comfortable. PLENTY of blankets were provided. Short walk to the porta potty. Longer walk to shower house and flush potty. Nice big fire ring. Security provided by Natasha the bison. Breakfast was good and made fresh.

This cabin had rustic charm. They served breakfast, but it did not start till 8:30, so we did not get that. We had to be on the road a lot earlier than 8:30. They had several different animals including horses, a buffalo, chickens, etc.The people were very nice there.

The staff in the office was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Our cabin was very nice, although I didn't like the sheer curtains in the bathroom and the water in the shower came out in a trickle. The property could use a good cleaning out - there was trash and things that should have been carted away all over. The lone bison made me sad as they are herd creatures, and she has to spend her life alone as her only other companion died a few years ago. There are deer that apparently live on the property, as well as horses, cows, and pigs. There are several decent restaurants fairly close, and the town of Kalispell isn't very far. The scenery is beautiful. It's about an hour and a half to Glacier National Park.

Disappointed. 1. Soft and lumpy bed. 2. Bugs in the shower. 3. TV didn’t work. 4. No bathroom washcloth. The one good thing was the breakfast. Very good meal.

The girl at the front desk was very nice it is a working Ranch the tent that we stayed in are good size very spacious but very dirty the bathroom is one toilet one shower and is absolutely disgusting the shower curtain is moldy there's ants and bugs everywhere there is a rubber mat on the bottom of the shower that is moldy garbage is overflowing no toilet paper a roll of paper towels to dry your hands the carpet on the outside of the shower is soaked and there was so much hair in the drain I used a plastic bag and the whole drain came out and huge wads of hair the bathroom is about a half mile from your tent or any place to stay the carpets were filthy the beds were hairy when I pulled the bed down a moth flew out I'm not joking and a cat visited me in the middle of the night that's all I got to say about that

Second time here and just as good as the first. Stayed in a cabin this visit and a canvas tent the first time. Both styles amazing and the staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is so good you’ll think you’re at a restaurant.

We spent 2 nights in a Tipi. The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were terrible. The showers were very dirty. Both the men and women's bathroom ran out of toilet paper with no spare rolls under the counter or available. No paper towels in bathroom. We were excited about made to order breakfast but then discovered it's not available until 8:30 or later. We were there to see Glacier National Park and had we waited for breakfast, we would have wasted most of the morning. (It is about 45 minutes to the park.) I wasn't surprised to find another family staying in a Tipi at McDonalds at 7:00 am. It would have been nice even to have coffee available at 6:30 am. All in all, I would avoid staying here if you can find another place to stay.
