Tranquillité sur la retraite privée de Penobscot Bay: automne amoureux de la vente du Maine

A comfortable home with a responsive host & beautiful views. Very quiet. Little is in walking distance, but it's a short drive to several beaches.

Fort Point Cove Cottage was a delight with beautiful views and comfortable arrangements. We even spotted an eagle and two roosting ospreys during our first few hours there with the binoculars that were in the home. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with additional like coffee pods (which was an unexpected treat!), random cooking spices like salt, as well as ziplocs and other Tupperware containers. There were plenty of fans to help keep the home cool and nighttime was very comfortable with the quilts and bedding.My kids loved having access to well-built cornhole boards as well as the huge backyard.Darlene was extremely communicative and welcoming. Instructions for departure were very clear. The only downside was that the third bed was located in a lofted area, not an actual bedroom, but that is in the listing and was not a surprise to us - it just would've been nice to have an actual bedroom, but the location on the bay well made up for it.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Darlene made sure to list several restaurants and activities nearby.

Private and peaceful stay. House is filled with great energy. It’s beautiful, clean, spacious, and well equipped. The backyard was amazing with the view of the bay, ample seating, and outdoor dining table. We loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the deck with hummingbirds hovering just above our heads coming to the feeder. We were also visited by a flock of turkeys in the early evenings.Darlene is a great host; communicating with us before, during, and after our stay.

We travel so much to Maine we could claim residency.....Three couples stayed for a week with one of the couples making their first trip to Maine and we couldn't have selected a better location to give them their first Maine experience. I highly recommend staying at Tranquility on Penobscot Bay Private Retreat.......

It truly is tranquility on the bay. It exceeded expectation. It is even better than shown. Spectacular sunrise!
