This visit started with a warm welcome and great advice from the host. The room and facilities then added another layer to the already great introduction. Very large apartment, plenty of room. Includes kitchen. Terri the owner very sweet and helpful. Bring your own groceries ahead of time or go out for dinner ahead of time as the town is a little village. Or you can drive to restaurants in Wells. Parking onsite or in the street next to the property. Very quiet area. Wonderful homemade breakfast in the morning by Terri! We loved our stay on our way to our next stop which was Bath.

Terri was amazing. She greeted us like friends and showed us the room and what a room. There were 3 of us and we had a bedroom and a sitting area with a sofa bed, a bathroom and a kitchenette. The room was spotless and the building old and quirky which we loved. Breakfast was amazing with a full english and buffet. Overall everything was perfect. Thank you Terri

Lovely warm welcome from Terri who showed me around the guest lounge, outdoor seating and breakfast room. The bedroom was large, with a dressing table, armchairs, large bed, roll top bath and a separate large shower. The room was spotless! Terri recommended the George Pub for dinner just 2-minute walk, which was superb. Breakfast was superb, lovely breakfast room, great choice, freshly prepared cooked breakfast. Will return!

Exceptional B&B in a lovely historical village set in a beautiful valley. Amazing stay, quiet location and very clean, spacious rooms, vibrant design. Bottle of water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room, soft pillows, comfortable mattress. Nice hot and cold breakfast options, alcohol drinks served during the day and cozy lounge area downstairs. Highly recommended and would stay again!

Teri was an amazing host, the b&b was just lovely. Room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was really lovely. Good choice of fruit and cereals, also the cooked breakfast was just right and very hot out the kitchen. Nice to have a little lounge area and self service mini bar. Which we will make more of on our next visit.

After a long journey we were met by Liam, who promptly prepared us tea and cake to have in the courtyard, which was so welcome. He booked a table at the local pub for us and really looked after us for the duration of our stay. The historic building is quirky, beautifully appointed and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We stayed in the Sheppey room, which is large and very comfortable, Roll top bath and walk in shower are great. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. A real little gem of a place.

Beautifully furnished rooms - clean and fresh with comfortable beds. We received a lovely welcome of scones and tea on arrival - which was very much appreciated after a difficult visit to a care home. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Terry, our host, could not have been more helpful

Wonderful building with charming, comfortable and quiet rooms - you can see why The Cross is a very popular place to stay. The host was extremely helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The breakfast was one of the best that we have had on our travels, very well cooked and extremely good quality. A big shout out to Luna the cat too! Thanks for a lovely couple of days.

We had three great nights here in late July. Terry, the owner, was very welcoming and a great source of local information. Breakfast was wonderful. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a roll-top bath in the en-suite.

First, the owner Terri knows about hospitality. She gets it just right. Very helpful and knowledgable without being intrusive. She was especially helpful regarding local events and history. The room was beautifully appointed with delightful surprises everywhere. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast. And, the local pub was friendly and welcoming with excellent food options including a Curry night on a Thursday.

Beautifully furnished rooms - clean and fresh with comfortable beds. We received a lovely welcome of scones and tea on arrival - which was very much appreciated after a difficult visit to a care home. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Terry, our host, could not have been more helpful

This is an excellent b&b in beautifully converted ancient buildings very close to Wells. It's an excellent base for exploring Wells/Frome/Glastonbury/Cheddar, all within just a few miles. The accommodation is modern and comfortable, the village is quiet and the breakfasts are fantastic. Terri and Julie take great care of their guests: we loved our stay.

Teri was an amazing host, the b&b was just lovely. Room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was really lovely. Good choice of fruit and cereals, also the cooked breakfast was just right and very hot out the kitchen. Nice to have a little lounge area and self service mini bar. Which we will make more of on our next visit.

Fantastic little B&B close by to the city of Wells. The Owner Terri was extremely welcoming upon arrival and throughout my stay. The breakfast was top class and a wide choice of options too. Highly recomend and will return on my next visit to Wells.

We had a great weekend staying at The Cross in Croscombe. Close to the city of Wells and its Cathedral and within easy reach of many picturesque towns and villages. Terri was an amazing host, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend a visit.

Amazing stay, quiet location and very clean, spacious rooms, vibrant design. Bottle of water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room, soft pillows, comfortable mattress. A truly excellent BnB. The property itself and the individual rooms have a distinct and individual charm and personality. The rooms are also clean, warm, comfortable, interesting and beautiful. The village of Crosscombe is a hidden gem and the Terri, the BnB’s host is outstanding. She is both personable and professional making one’s stay at the Cross a truly distinct experience. I would recommend coming to the area just for the charms of the BnB and the village. It’s proximity to Wells and the Mendip hills make it an ideal base.

First, the owner Terri knows about hospitality. She gets it just right. Very helpful and knowledgable without being intrusive. She was especially helpful regarding local events and history. The room was beautifully appointed with delightful surprises everywhere. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast. And, the local pub was friendly and welcoming with excellent food options including a Curry night on a Thursday.

Terri was amazing. She greeted us like friends and showed us the room and what a room. There were 3 of us and we had a bedroom and a sitting area with a sofa bed, a bathroom and a kitchenette. The room was spotless and the building old and quirky which we loved. Breakfast was amazing with a full english and buffet. Overall everything was perfect. Thank you Terri

Wonderful building with charming, comfortable and quiet rooms - you can see why The Cross is a very popular place to stay. The host was extremely helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The breakfast was one of the best that we have had on our travels, very well cooked and extremely good quality. A big shout out to Luna the cat too! Thanks for a lovely couple of days.

The room was very spacious and comfortable everything and more was provided for our stay. Was offered a cream tea on arrival which of course we excepted. There was a great choice at breakfast. Terri was a wonderful host full of local knowledge. Would highly recommend. Crosscombe was a lovely village with a great pub serving good food. There was a bar at the b and b.

Couldn’t really fault my stay. Made very welcome on arrival, room clean and stylish Modern bathroom, nice hot water and super fluffy towels. Nothing was too much trouble, owner Terri was really helpful with booking our dinner at the local pub ( just down the road and food excellent with good community atmosphere) Beautifully presented village; old buildings with great kerb appeal. The B and B was a beautiful period property but with modern twist. Breakfast excellent, no shortage of food and outstanding service. Owner Terri was exceptional. Would fully recommend a visit.
