Surf Motel and Gardens

The room and the bathroom had a terrible odor. The cheap carpet squares were stained and barely glued to the floor. The whole place looked run down and not well maintained. I wouldn’t want my dog to sleep in that room. We ended up leaving and cutting our weekend short. We drove nearly four hours home just to avoid having to stay there.

Well located. Room in need of some maintenance. Door housing mini fridge within, was askew and didn't fully close. Paint at base of door was badly chipped. Two drill holes to the left of bathroom door, need to be spackled and two missing caps at base of toilet were unattractive and discolored. Several dark marks in shower need paint cover. It is strange that these items, which are a simple fix, should go unaddressed. One must wonder if housekeeping doesn't pass these items to maintenance.

We really love this spot, it’s in a perfect place for a good price. They take such good care of the property, and it has everything you need. Even a fire pit and a little dog park. The surrounding area is amazing and there’s so much to do. Don’t forget the Botanical Gardens. The staff here is lovely and the owner is really kind 💛. We will be back.
