Communication was helpful, prompt. Parking garage immediately behind the property. You cut through the backyard and cross alley to get there but it’s less than 1 minute walk away. Felt very safe and secure staying there. Only problem was there was Keurig in kitchen but no coffee cups. Problem solved by using disposable cup from lobby’s coffee station. I did forget to report to management that front right burner on stove wasn’t working.

the stairway is very narrow and there is no elevator - that's my only complaint. it would have been good to know in advance that the apt was on the 3rd floor so we could have packed smaller bags

The room was small but very nice and clean. We had everything we would need there. We were on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. Since the parking garage was under contruction we were accomodated with another free of charge but it was quite a walk. I would not recommend this for older people especially in the heat.

Very enjoyable old building, nice location by campus and walk to theaters, m short drive to forrest park, museums. Hot water was limited and free parking 10 minute walk away, otherwise nice place.

Minor stuff...like frig and another appliance needed reset on outlet (it triggered off)...it was "different" not to have a front desk, but it worked OK...wish I knew parking garage had limited overhead clearance (we have a cargo box on our car), but overall - very nice

Number on rental agreement was un reachable, person was not accepting calls,could not find parking structure, because no one would answer phone.Had to park on road,window was busted out of car .We did not feel comfortable staying our last night.We went home early

The place was small, but that was ok for one person just using it as a convenient location to sleep. Parking was under construction, but street parking was free from 7p-7a, which worked with my schedule. As I was traveling for work, it would have been nice to have a place to hang shirts (there was no closet or even any hooks or bar to hang them on). The shower was short (I felt like Elf), but the curtain was long (wadded up in the bottom). Also, the shower didn’t drain well. I did not get the check in or check out instructions in a timely manner, but they were responsive by phone and text.

Excellent location for visiting St Louis University. Checking in late at night was annoying, because there was no one in person and I had to fill out forms over the Internet on my phone. Free parking is nice but it was a longer walk than I expected (12 minutes)

Overall i rated this property as 9.5/10. The location was central for my needs and functionality. The building is older but many aspect have been renovated. It has easy access to many local attractions and restaurants. It is near the St. Louis University campus across from the Law school. St Francis Xavier Catholic church is one block away. Parking in the garage was $15/night but was convenient and lessened the stress about paying meters. Ms Tyshea was an excellent hostess for the property. Easily accessibly by phone. The property has electronic entry to the apartment and to the building. There is a deadbolt lock on your apartment door which you can lock from the inside. What i liked was it was a one bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. You have a small dining room area next to a small living room or family room. For visitors in St. Louis it is centrally located: SLU, Fox Threater, Powel symphony Hall, Barnes hospital (BJC), Basilica of St. Louis and many more attractions.

It was very clean and nicely decorated. The house is a cool old building. The AC worked great (important, as it was super muggy outside.) I was only there for a couple nights but I think it would have worked well for a longer stay.

The thermostat was non-functional. When I contacted the property manager, they stated I could use the remote. There was no remote. It was a horrible experience. The fan switches were chains that had been shortened forcing you to Stan on the bed to adjust the speed and light. This would not be an easy thing to do for seniors. There are nails in the walls with no purpose. The bath towels were worn out and bleached. The bedding was soaking in dryer sheet fragrance and or detergent that never washed out leaving it almost impossible to use. The vents are caked with dust. There is a mirror in the corner that serves no purpose. The lighting is horrible with only a nightstand light and the fan light. The irony is that they refer to themselves as 5 stars. Far from it.

Outdated bathroom with no hot shower and minimal spray from old shower head. Lots of street and hallway noise all night. Clean rooms and areas. Email said ok to check in on phone and sent code. Code was wrong and customer service required going to another location ten minutes away to check in.

The broken window covered with plastic was unbecoming. Our room L did not have a light in the kitchen and we reported the problem several times. I looked in the fuse box to see if a breaker was tripped and the fire alarm breaker was tripped. It would sound off if the breaker was switch to the working position.

The room was fantastic. While the bedroom part was smaller than usual, having a small kitchen made more size than usual. I really appreciated having that kitchen. I also appreciated that the thermostat was easy to put up and down when needed. There was no elevator and I was on the third floor, which suited me fine but is something to know. The problem is that there's no front desk and check-in is done an odd way. They send codes to get in rather than having someone to handle it when you get there. They wanted my credit card number for a deposit in advance, but they didn't say it was for a deposit - they said it was for paying the bill, and I had already pre-paid the bill. I had to call hotels.com several times on the day of travel because I was on a train and therefore the calls kept dropping, but the staff at hotels.com clearly didn't know that the check-in procedure here was peculiar. They kept assuring me I could do things like take care of the deposit when I got there. Which I couldn't have, since no one was there. It all worked out, and I'll know for next time, but be forewarned.

Very clean, beautiful building. Stayed in the third floor studio. Bed was a Dream Cloud which is what I have at home, very comfortable and sheets were the same brand I have too so it was perfect for a comfortable sleep all night and no additional pain in the morning. Only has Keurig with pods, some sugar and creamer, no actual coffee maker but pods were strong and actually brewed a strong cup of coffee. no knives in the full kitchen so we were unable to actually prepare meals as we didn't bring knives, and didn't go buy any, just ate out instead and took our food back home. Kitchen had most everything else though. No key fob for parking garage left on table as we were told it would be in email so we had to pay over 1 hour parking on street until someone returned our call and directed us to the lockbox to obtain a key fob. Was able to park in garage both nights afterward and no problem with available spots. Would stay here again if not somewhere downtown

Communication, location, accuracy, ease of check-in and parking were all convenient/excellent. The bed is foam and while a bit soft ... it did well with both of us ... which is not always the case. The kitchen/living space was between the bedroom and bathroom and smallish and still adequate. The sofa was minimalistic. Internet was easy and fast. The shower was good and towels good. We did not need to contact the owners after arriving. Finding the parking was a minor challenge and following the directions with some assumptions worked. The location was wonderful.

White House was right on SLU campus which was what we wanted. We stayed in unit F on the second floor. It has everything we needed and it was clean. The only complain was our bed was extremely uncomfortable. The plastic mattress cover was squishy and noisy. It didn’t feel good to sleep on. The mattress was also slanting towards one side, We enjoyed the proximity to campus, the little backyard which we utilized to entertain my daughter’s roommate and her dad before going out to dinner. It had washer and dryer which we used too. Overall, it fit our needs for the parents weekend visit. The parking was FAR and I don’t know if I would feel comfortable late at night alone. Staff at the West End was helpful. I’ll try it again for move out weekend and book in advance.

This was a great apartment in great location. Everything was as listed. However, please fix the parking instructions. Please provide clear instructions of where is it at. The room was fantastic. While the bedroom part was smaller than usual, having a small kitchen made more size than usual. I really appreciated having that kitchen. I also appreciated that the thermostat was easy to put up and down when needed. There was no elevator and I was on the third floor, which suited me fine but is something to know. The problem is that there's no front desk and check-in is done an odd way. They send codes to get in rather than having someone to handle it when you get there. They wanted my credit card number for a deposit in advance, but they didn't say it was for a deposit - they said it was for paying the bill, and I had already pre-paid the bill. I had to call hotels.com several times on the day of travel because I was on a train and therefore the calls kept dropping, but the staff at hotels.com clearly didn't know that the check-in procedure here was peculiar. They kept assuring me I could do things like take care of the deposit when I got there. Which I couldn't have, since no one was there. It all worked out, and I'll know for next time, but be forewarned.

Host wouldn’t replace the broken coffee maker. I checked in ahead of time and confirmed everything. Then they sent a email, while I was flying, a few hours before I arrived, saying their check in policy changed so I couldn’t get the code to enter the room. Imagine getting off your flight and finding out you can’t get into your hotel. Eventually I got it sorted out with them. Kitchen needs work. I cook my own meals so I was disappointed with things not working, lack of supplies, not even a clean sponge to wash dishes. As far as sleeping, the place was clean and quiet and the pictures of the place were accurate. Overall it was ok for the price. Really should have replaced that coffee maker though.

Outdated bathroom with no hot shower and minimal spray from old shower head. Lots of street and hallway noise all night. Clean rooms and areas. Email said ok to check in on phone and sent code. Code was wrong and customer service required going to another location ten minutes away to check in.

The place was small, but that was ok for one person just using it as a convenient location to sleep. Parking was under construction, but street parking was free from 7p-7a, which worked with my schedule. As I was traveling for work, it would have been nice to have a place to hang shirts (there was no closet or even any hooks or bar to hang them on). The shower was short (I felt like Elf), but the curtain was long (wadded up in the bottom). Also, the shower didn’t drain well. I did not get the check in or check out instructions in a timely manner, but they were responsive by phone and text.

Excellent location for visiting St Louis University. Checking in late at night was annoying, because there was no one in person and I had to fill out forms over the Internet on my phone. Free parking is nice but it was a longer walk than I expected (12 minutes)

This place was amazing! Beautiful location and area. I enjoyed being so close to everything. It was very easy to walk anywhere from here. The staff member I was messaging was amazing, they helped me so much and got me into my room like 4 hours early!! When I come back to St. Louis I will be staying here again and hopefully getting the same room I had this time. Great place to stay.

Overall i rated this property as 9.5/10. The location was central for my needs and functionality. The building is older but many aspect have been renovated. It has easy access to many local attractions and restaurants. It is near the St. Louis University campus across from the Law school. St Francis Xavier Catholic church is one block away. Parking in the garage was $15/night but was convenient and lessened the stress about paying meters. Ms Tyshea was an excellent hostess for the property. Easily accessibly by phone. The property has electronic entry to the apartment and to the building. There is a deadbolt lock on your apartment door which you can lock from the inside. What i liked was it was a one bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. You have a small dining room area next to a small living room or family room. For visitors in St. Louis it is centrally located: SLU, Fox Threater, Powel symphony Hall, Barnes hospital (BJC), Basilica of St. Louis and many more attractions.

Very enjoyable old building, nice location by campus and walk to theaters, m short drive to forrest park, museums. Hot water was limited and free parking 10 minute walk away, otherwise nice place.

It was fine. The building is old and the back stairway really needs to be painted or cleaned. Very poor lighting in the bathroom. The apt was comfortable and a great location right near St Louis University

This was the perfect stay for our visit to St Louis. The location was perfect. The area was clean and safe. We liked that there was security in place to enter the building. It would be good if the listing indicated that there are stairs to the apartment. It was fine for us but it would be an unwelcome surprise for someone with mobility issues. The apartment was well stocked and well designed. The only thing we missed was a toaster. Also, It was a good thing that we knew to bring our own coffee pods as there were none available. We would book again if we should have the pleasure to visit St Louis again.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Center Apartments. Spacious, well appointed and a great location with bus passing and train a short walk away. Kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommended.

White House was right on SLU campus which was what we wanted. We stayed in unit F on the second floor. It has everything we needed and it was clean. The only complain was our bed was extremely uncomfortable. The plastic mattress cover was squishy and noisy. It didn’t feel good to sleep on. The mattress was also slanting towards one side, We enjoyed the proximity to campus, the little backyard which we utilized to entertain my daughter’s roommate and her dad before going out to dinner. It had washer and dryer which we used too. Overall, it fit our needs for the parents weekend visit. The parking was FAR and I don’t know if I would feel comfortable late at night alone. Staff at the West End was helpful. I’ll try it again for move out weekend and book in advance.

The apartments worked out great for us! Price and location. Close to events going on and short drive to lots of restaurants on The Hill. Parking on the street was cheap, free after 8 and Sunday and was very safe. Highly recommend. Great vintage building. Cute efficiency apartment with everything you need.

First the picture don't look nothing like the room. Also we knew this was a pet friendly place. But for the staff to use that as a excuse not to properly clean the room of dog hair isn't good. My gf immediately start itching as we sat down on the couch. I took the pillow off to see alot of dog hair stuck on the pillows and couch and other appliances. It took 2 visits for the housekeeper to properly clean the room and that's with my supervision . Also she didn't speak English so there was a language barrier. Something that I also found strange is . That theroom walls are clean and they got these beautiful paintings on the walls but they got these old dirty stained rugs in the bedroom and living area. It just don't fit right with the decor. I didn't use the kitchen to cook so I cant speak on that I can speak on the fridge being dirty on the top and the front is stained. This place just need some deep cleaning and get rid of though rugs or aleast shampoo them.
