Overall okay for one night ! The AC unit is quiet, the room has a reclining chair plus a desk with chair. The vanity is slow draining and the tub shows it’s age.

We had a long bed around the back. The air smells of sewage. Only 1 lamp worked and it was dim. The towels were torn or had holes in them. There wasn't a toilet paper holder so you had to move it around if you wanted to shower. The Internet and TV were Rarely available. The frig hummed all night and the heater was very loud. This was not a good experience.

Property seems to be in various stages of improvement under new management/ownership.management Our room was quickly upgraded to another room after reporting that we were having trouble with the TV and lighting. Helpful staff.

I could not say anything bad about this property. The only disadvantage is no ice machine, and after 11pm there are no stores open in the area, next store would be 11 miles.

When I got to the motel there was a sign saying they would be back in a half hour. When someone returned I was sent to a completely different motel a mile down the road. So the room was not as pictured. Bait and switch. The room was dirty. The shower was covered in hair and the toilet stained. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned well before I got there.

This hotel is in bad condition. The carpet was filthy. The chairs had stains on them. The shower area was moldy. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

The first room we were offered was supposed to be a non-smoking room but had an extremely strong cigarette smell. We requested a different room, and received a room that was overwhelmingly musty, with some other smell that I can only describe as uncleanliness. The bathroom walls had mold inside of them and the floor was grimey and had hair and dirt in all of the corners. Neither one of us were excited to be staying there in any way, but we decided to go ahead since it was already decently late. Fast forward to the next morning. My husband takes a shower and grabs a neatly folded towel off of the shelf. The next thing I hear, he begins gagging and then profusely vomiting. He had just dried himself with a towel that had DRIED FECES AND URINE all over it. Immediately, I went to the front desk and demanded a refund. The two men at the front desk didn't even act surprised. There is NO excuse for why a towel with feces and urine would be folded as if it were clean. None whatsoever. This place needs shut down. It is a health and safety risk. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Room was nasty. The bedding didnt look aa though it was washed in days..there was old milk date mar 23 still in the fridge, there were holes in the bathroom wall. The trash can outside the room door was overflowing with trash.we didnt stay checked out at 930pm which was my plan get someone cheap were we can freshing up before and after the safari zoo and head up. But this place is only good for that.

It was Terrible. There was mold in the shower covering the entire ceiling & the carpet did not feel clean at all - it didn’t feel good to walk on & Tere was no Cable the whole time we were there and when we asked about it we were told that they were having issues with the cable connection. Also there were NO Towel racks or hooks of any kind. Please do not list this Hotel with Hotels.com

We looked at this property and thought it would be an okay place to stay for how cheap it was. We got there at 5 our room wasn’t ready took them 15 minutes to “clean” it and it wasn’t even clean. Then we got in our room and the door handle was a little broken and the cracks in the side of the door were big and so much light shined in the room. The light in the bathroom took 2-5 minutes to turn on after you flip the switch. And the shower was placed in front of a covered window not sure why or how. It looks like the room we got was a cheap added room. The stay was alright we were only there for a few days but we were not very impressed.

Sorry to write this review - Room was down a hill around back (isolated feeling), bottom floor. Room "recently renovated" (not mentioned at check-in" but no room lighting, no working TV, dirty shower, didn't want to touch anything (cleanliness). No smoke detector (hole in wall), NO DEADBOLT OR CHAIN ON DOOR, only knob lock. Large gap between door and floor (safety, vermin). No amenities. Paid same price as Holiday Inn as supposedly this was the last room on the interstate in all of Virginia! Sheets on bed were clean.

Normally I like to stay multiple times before writing a review, but thought I would share since this is my only visit to the area. So keep that in mind for a specific room (116, which is relevant to other reviews). Before booking here I read the reviews and they were mostly a five star or a 1-2 star review. In particular, a review mentioned mold in the shower and a bathroom door that didn't shut. Others didn't mention this issue, so my assumption was that a previous guest did damage. Well, I ended up in this particular room. The bottom hinge of the bathroom door was not attached to the door causing the door to rest on the floor. This presented a challenge because my smaller children were unable to open the door once it was closed. Then the door handle on the same door was detached. After a long day of driving I didn't want to bother with moving hotels or even moving between rooms after unpacking for one night. We ended up fixing the door and the door knob. The shower is someone else's issue, but want to be clear that there was no mold that I saw and just some tile damage. On to the positives! The AC worked amazingly well (smoke from Canadian Wildfires didn't get into room). The TV was great. The beds were comfortable and a quick mattress inspection showed no signs of concerns. The view from the window was nice with a corn field and mountains visible. The two gas stations nearby also made running out for a quick grab of snacks and drinks was easy.

Older hotel. Stayed in upstairs queen room. Mini fridge, but no microwave. Advertised tub in room, only walk in shower. TV would turn on, yet no picture. When picture came on it took 20 minutes to boot a small segment of the movie/show. Informed management, but was not fixed. Internet extremely slow. If you are wanting a place to sleep and a hot shower with no frills, this is a good place at a very reasonable price.

Room was in rough condition. Bathroom door didn’t close. Toilet paper holder was broken from the wall. Other patches done were painted but never sanded. Carpet was dropped over existing floor but not installed. Refrigerator had something leak, dry on the bottom, and it was still there. We had a reservation scheduled for our return trip and we canceled and booked at another location.

For the price they charge if you just need a place to sleep for the night, the room was clean and I really appreciated that the windows opened and there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom. There was a nice refrigerator and microwave and the television had many channels. It is an old building and is in desperate need of updating. The room was the smallest hotel room I've ever been in, but it worked for a place to sleep and the price was right. The front desk was accommodating. The neighborhood seemed very safe. Just be aware it's very old and run down.

Inexpensive, rural setting, nice desk staff. No cold water in sink (very hot water , difficult to even wash hands). Toilet wouldn’t refill to flush, had to add water to tank using a paper cup. Small leak from back of sink left puddle on floor.

Desk clerk was extremely courteous and answered all my questions. Inn itself is well located in a quiet area. Only discrepancy I saw was the stopper in the bathroom didn't function, but I regard that as minor. I do this place and would stay there again.
Desk clerk was extremely courteous and answered all my questions. Inn itself is well located in a quiet area. Only discrepancy I saw was the stopper in the bathroom didn't function, but I regard that as minor. I do this place and would stay there again.

First day couldn't check in until 7:30...was there at 3pm. They overbooked the room and had to wait until the other person got off work and then wait for them to clean the room. Only one person on site to run the office and vlean rooms. Took him 2 hours to clean.

I booked a room at Relax Inn through Expedia. I arrived at 9:05. I waited until 9:50 and no one ever came to the front desk. I left to find another hotel. Obviously DO NOT STAY HERE.

Absolutely horrible. Was up for 3 hours in the middle of the night due to a drunk guy outside our room, called the front desk 3 times and they did nothing. Finally we had to call the cops. This hotel obviously doesn’t care about their guests

Property seems to be in various stages of improvement under new management/ownership.management Our room was quickly upgraded to another room after reporting that we were having trouble with the TV and lighting. Helpful staff.

The staff at this hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the condition of the property itself made for a very poor experience. The water had such a bad taste that I drove across the street to buy bottled water. There were plumbing issues, with drains—including the shower—backing up. The bed required some repair when we arrived, though it was comfortable after we fixed it. One of the room doors had a large hole in it, which looked like it had been kicked in. Weeks later, we drove by again and noticed the same door still hadn’t been repaired, leaving a gap large enough for animals to get in. I feel bad leaving this review because the staff were wonderful, but I would not stay here again.

This establishment was a pleasure to be at due to the gentleman working. The place needs a makeover especially in the bathrooms. The cost is not comparable to the quality of the room but the place has hope.

We stayed here for a night it was a half way point of are trip and wanted to go see the History of land Bridge the room was clean and all linens were great it is an older hotel so did show signs of being a 30-40 year old motel but for the money this was a great spot to sleep for the night after spending the Day at the State Park 3 mins down the road!!!

The place is very close to the natural bridge, (4mi) and close enough to Lexington as well. The rooms are a bit dated, the bed had a burn mark (non smoking room...?) and it allows pets. The room next door had a dog that kept barking every time I moved around my room. There are probably better options out there.

For the price they charge if you just need a place to sleep for the night, the room was clean and I really appreciated that the windows opened and there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom. There was a nice refrigerator and microwave and the television had many channels. It is an old building and is in desperate need of updating. The room was the smallest hotel room I've ever been in, but it worked for a place to sleep and the price was right. The front desk was accommodating. The neighborhood seemed very safe. Just be aware it's very old and run down.

This place is right off the interstate, but is located in a quiet beautiful area with views of the mountains. The owners are great people and keep the place clean and are always around if you need anything.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice. The room didn't look that bad at first but the TV didn't work, There was no coffee maker, and there was mold on the shower curtain, and someone spilled something in the mini fridge and no one cleaned it up. I got on my phone and made another reservation at a better hotel not to far away.

I could not say anything bad about this property. The only disadvantage is no ice machine, and after 11pm there are no stores open in the area, next store would be 11 miles.

Disgusting! This is hands down the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Smoke detectors are removed, rat traps outside the room, holes in the wall of the bathroom, birds nest IN the air conditioning rendering it useless - sleeping in nature would be safer than staying in this disgustingly filthy hotel.

Parking was easy. We were told not to turn on our AC because a bird had built a nest in the unit. SO why give us that unit?? No idea. It was a cool night and we survived w/ the window open. There was a leak in the roof that was poorly repaired and looked moldy. it was late and we were tired. The walls were paper thin and after I heard the person's TV next to us I felt bad that we had been so noisy.
