what an amazing time. loved the place! i think we enjoyed feeding the chickens more than anything else (except the massage was AMAZING!). loved the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. sister property restaurant was good too. hopefully, we will make it back there!

The property is very nice and the accomodations great. Especially liked the prepped fireplace with wood and kindling ready to light. Appreciated the gym, but suggest replacing/cleaning the dumbbells as they feel sticky to hold.

Serene space in Little River Mendocino. I’ve stayed at the little farm several times it is actually a farm with chickens you can feed and llamas you can pet they have a main lodge as well as accommodations across the road closer to the water very homey and cosy in the woods. fabulous chocolate chip cookies, great staff they also have a nice coffee bar that’s open 24 hours. Less than five minutes from downtown Mendocino.

Lovely property but several things were out of commission: 1. Hot tub is closed - There are pics on the internet but they said they don’t have one. It’s clearly there but closed. 2. Tesla chargers were all out of order 3. Fireplaces in room had a sign not to use it 4. Restaurant was closed for a week 5. Walls are thin and a smoke alarm was going off in another room for 15 min after 11 pm One of these things I would understand. But all of these things in 1 weekend was too much. Plenty lovely options in Mendocino.

Such a cute property. My wife and I stayed here for one night on our way from San Francisco to the Redwoods up north. We were very impressed by their decor for inside the rooms as well as in the common area. They also deliver breakfast to your door in a picnic basket which was a pleasant surprise. Additionally there's free wine in the evening in the common area. There are fireplaces, chicken coops etc - very quaint experience. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting that area

We had wonderful stay at Mendocino Inn and Farm. We enjoyed every moment: breakfast delivered in a basket, walking to the beach through the trail, feeding the chicken in the morning, saying hi to Lamas while sipping warm tea and delicious dinner at Terra Kitchen. The town is only 10min away and there are so many activities to do around the Inn. However I feel just staying in an Inn itself was a fabulous and unique experience. We fell in love with Mendocino already planning our next trip back to Mendocino. The staff are nice and we were able to do late check in which was easy. It was convenient to communicate with text system too. Everyone needs to experience Mendocino Inn and Farm!

Ambitious in price but lacks in delivery. Firstly, the good stuff: - Hotel under the ambience of a farm is quite charming. Starting one’s day by feeding the chicken, walking around the veggie bed and checking llama pastures is definitely enticing. - Nice proximity to the beach. The short 10 minute trail was also nice with a cozy reveal through thick canopy of greenery at the end. - Close to the Mendocino town (under 7 minute drive) and Fort Bragg (under 25 minutes drive). - The Tesla charging stations were very convenient. Really helped me keep EV charging out of my route planning with my Rivian. - Service: The staff of the hotel were really nice. Be it setting up for late check-in or helping me with cutlery or information, they were very welcoming. One of the member also did a custom lavender bouquet in 5 minutes when she found out it was my wife’s birthday during our checkout. Now for the things I was underwhelmed: - Price: I paid over $500 per night. For that price I was extremely disappointed. - We got an accessible room that was loud and not suitable for me - Deeply underwhelming breakfast

Wonderful stay at this gorgeous property. Very close to the Big River for paddling and canoeing. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The lobby had comfortable seating with fresh coffee, tea, and games to play. Wonderful grounds to walk about and an ocean view. We were able to charge our car as well.

Lovely property, slowly being updated, but still a charming, peaceful estate. There are llamas, chickens, walking paths, and EV charging stations. Breakfasts were provided, tasty and brought to the room. Chocolate chip cookies at night! There are "shared" kitchinettes for guests to use for refrigerating picnic food and saving leftovers. There is an onsite restaurant that is very reasonable for the area.

Lovely place and people, all around. Two minor things: (1) please go back to individual/one-time filters for coffee, like a year ago (the current coffee is weak), and (2) would be great to see the jaccuzzi back in operation.

Beautiful setting, clean room, friendly staff, everything was wonderful. Having a welcome note in the room and name on the parking spot were especially appreciated. The breakfast in the room was timely and delicious. We will definitely be back

The location of the property is great. The rooms are very clean and up to date. The breakfast delivered to your door in the morning is a perfect touch. However, if your stay across the street next to highway 1, expect to have road noise in your room. This distraction made the otherwise perfect location and room less than desirable.

The grounds are beautiful but rustic. The rooms were a pleasant surprise. Clean, bright and updated. The fireplace was so nice on chilly mornings, and they provide plenty of wood. We sat on the deck (which could use some TLC) and had a cocktail with a view of the ocean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

If you’re thinking about booking this inn, here’s your sign to go for it! This place is absolutely stunning. The grounds are gorgeous, beautiful plants everywhere. They are so thoughtful on little details: hand written note to welcome us, a reserved parking spot outside of your door with your name on it, cookies at the front desk, games in the common area, tiny sacs to put dried lavender in. The list goes on and on! Everyone you meet working here is friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, some minor cracks and cosmetic issues but nothing serious. The room smelled like a campfire because there was a fireplace in our room but it wasn’t too bad. Homemade breakfast delivered to our door was yummy and light. The coolest part? Animal interaction! You can feed the chickens and hang in the pen with the llamas. There are several walking trails around the inn but we sadly didn’t have time to check those out. But honestly, this place is such a gem. Price was reasonable for 1 night. I will likely come back here if I’m ever in the area again.

We got a room cross street(CA-1) of the main property. No TV in the room, and WiFi was not stable. No dinning or room service. They only deliver a simple breakfast. Overall the price $5xx/night doesn’t match the quality. The staffs are friendly and helpful. But you can’t reach them before 9am and after 7pm…

We had a lovely stay at the Mendocino Inn and Farm. Our Ocean View Jr. Suite was in the East Farmington room (in the Stevenscroft building). This room has a lot of windows and great light. We looked right out onto the amazingly beautiful garden and had a distant view of the ocean. The staff delivered a delicious breakfast to our door every morning, the king-size bed was extremely comfortable, and the wood fireplace (which we used every night) was a treat. The bathroom, which is large, has a tiny stall (but the shower is nice). The wifi, as reported in some of the other comments, was sketchy and not always reliable. There is no refrigerator or microwave in this room, but both are located in a small kitchenette also in the building (handy but not very convenient). We wished for a larger table (the little round table in the room was quite small), and a shelf on which we might have placed belongings. The staff was extremely accommodating; the restaurant in the lodge building had some amazing pizza; and the grounds, complete with a trail to the beach, are gorgeous. Mendocino itself is quaint with a lot of good restaurants and shopping. We had a fabulous dinner at Trillium – and be sure to eat outside at Patterson’s.
We had a lovely stay at the Mendocino Inn and Farm. Our Ocean View Jr. Suite was in the East Farmington room (in the Stevenscroft building). This room has a lot of windows and great light. We looked right out onto the amazingly beautiful garden and had a distant view of the ocean. The staff delivered a delicious breakfast to our door every morning, the king-size bed was extremely comfortable, and the wood fireplace (which we used every night) was a treat. The bathroom, which is large, has a tiny stall (but the shower is nice). The wifi, as reported in some of the other comments, was sketchy and not always reliable. There is no refrigerator or microwave in this room, but both are located in a small kitchenette also in the building (handy but not very convenient). We wished for a larger table (the little round table in the room was quite small), and a shelf on which we might have placed belongings. The staff was extremely accommodating; the restaurant in the lodge building had some amazing pizza; and the grounds, complete with a trail to the beach, are gorgeous. Mendocino itself is quaint with a lot of good restaurants and shopping. We had a fabulous dinner at Trillium – and be sure to eat outside at Patterson’s.

The first night in the hotel someone in the room above paced for about half an hour at 2:00 am then fell asleep and snored. The second night a young child ran back and forth for about an hour at 10 pm then again at 8:00 am. Of course the real problem is that we could hear all of it.

Was not aware that the room is only climate controlled by opening a window without screens and a box fan provided by the staff. I don’t mind the fresh air but letting bugs into the room is not ideal for sleeping. We’ve been here two hours so far and managed to drop the temperature from 82 to 78.

Loved our room. Very spacious with great views looking at ocean. Loved trails to ocean. Breakfast was included and was very yummy. Scrambled eggs with black beans and pico de gallo, fresh wild blackberry yogurt and zucchini muffins. It was delivered to our door. We were able to bring our dogs as well!

The older cottages with rooms on the east side of the shoreline highway had private outdoor sitting areas that overlooked the meadows, vegetable garden, grove of trees, and a small patch of the ocean was viewable. They were not quite on the highway, so noise from traffic seemed to be more muted. Unfolding, we stayed in a upstairs room in the newly remodeled annex on the west side of the shoreline highway where traffic noise was more pronounced. The bathroom felt crammed and a little makeshift for $365/night. There was no mini bar in the room itself but was available 3 short flights of stairs in the lonby of the annex. SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm was a fabulous property, unlike any other I've stayed at recently. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Our room in the main lodge was spectacular. The grounds of the working farm were beautiful to walk around. The breakfasts that were delivered to our room in a picnic basket were unique and delightful. The completely stocked wood burning fireplace in our room was cozy. Additional personalization of a note in our room upon arrival as well as a personalized parking spot were also nice extra touches. Extra options which I didn't expect, but really enjoyed was the opportunity to feed their chickens in the chicken coup as well as visit and get close to llamas in their pen. Only a mile away from the town of Mendocino, the property is peaceful, relaxing and beautiful on many accounts. I would highly recommend this place, especially for a romantic weekend getaway, and hope to return there one day myself.

We had wonderful stay at Mendocino Inn and Farm. We enjoyed every moment: breakfast delivered in a basket, walking to the beach through the trail, feeding the chicken in the morning, saying hi to Lamas while sipping warm tea and delicious dinner at Terra Kitchen. The town is only 10min away and there are so many activities to do around the Inn. However I feel just staying in an Inn itself was a fabulous and unique experience. We fell in love with Mendocino already planning our next trip back to Mendocino. The staff are nice and we were able to do late check in which was easy. It was convenient to communicate with text system too. Everyone needs to experience Mendocino Inn and Farm!

This is a really really great option for someone who has stayed in two star motels, however if you haven’t I think there are better options: Good items: direct access to highway 1, bedding is good, the property grounds are pretty Bad: service is non existent, make sure to get to property by 5 pm because the front desk person leaves at that time. They also don’t clean your room while you stay several days and give you an emergency number for “real” that no one answered and no one monitored. And if you returned to motel after 5 pm you request will need to wait until tomorrow. Breakfast is brought to you in a black van from Oregon with some sketchy hygiene and since we saw it unloading we made a health conscious decision not to participate in breakfast. The soundproofing is terrible so if you neighbors do “staff” you will have front row seats.

Asked for a 7am checkout and was told our breakfast (minus eggs) would be delivered accordingly. At 7:15 nothing had arrived, there was no one at reception until 9 to expedite, and when we were finally able to speak to a kitchen staff, he said he had nothing communicated to him and didn’t even have the order form which I completed at reception.

Love the ecofriendliness! All staff were super attentive. Any issue was solved. The phone was always picked up. The llamas and the chickens on the property was great. Easy free EV charging. Loved the classic architecture. The BED!!! Best most silky thread count. Was pure heaven to sleep there.

Being around the green scenery, llamas, and chickens was a great contrast to my busy city life. All the staff were incredible, sweet, and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. I even extended my stay, I'll definitely be back.

Really enjoyed having a view of trees outside our room, and enjoyed the path down to the small beach. We also took the trail from the property into Van Damme State Park, so it was nice to have that accessibility. There were chairs in the back of the property looking at the view of the ocean which was pretty. Overall liked the delivered breakfast and our room was really nice!

Ambitious in price but lacks in delivery. Firstly, the good stuff: - Hotel under the ambience of a farm is quite charming. Starting one’s day by feeding the chicken, walking around the veggie bed and checking llama pastures is definitely enticing. - Nice proximity to the beach. The short 10 minute trail was also nice with a cozy reveal through thick canopy of greenery at the end. - Close to the Mendocino town (under 7 minute drive) and Fort Bragg (under 25 minutes drive). - The Tesla charging stations were very convenient. Really helped me keep EV charging out of my route planning with my Rivian. - Service: The staff of the hotel were really nice. Be it setting up for late check-in or helping me with cutlery or information, they were very welcoming. One of the member also did a custom lavender bouquet in 5 minutes when she found out it was my wife’s birthday during our checkout. Now for the things I was underwhelmed: - Price: I paid over $500 per night. For that price I was extremely disappointed. - We got an accessible room that was loud and not suitable for me - Deeply underwhelming breakfast

Wonderful stay at this gorgeous property. Very close to the Big River for paddling and canoeing. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The lobby had comfortable seating with fresh coffee, tea, and games to play. Wonderful grounds to walk about and an ocean view. We were able to charge our car as well.

The bathroom was tiny. Two people can’t fit. The plumbing and fixtures were decrepit. We had a room in a building that was not close to the main building so other than check in we never went there. The room and bed were nice and we enjoyed the sitting area. Breakfast delivered to the room was awful

The coffee in little triangle bags was not good. The delivered breakfast was delicious, and right on time. The gal at the front desk was totally delightful, and very gifted in hospitality. Common in door area was beautiful with hanging swinging chairs.

I loved our room. We had a fabulous view and the room was spacious. I was sad we didn’t have a tub. The potted plant on the dresser was dying which was not good. The wood for the fireplace was green and wouldn’t burn. They messed up on my breakfast as I am allergic to oats. We did like having breakfast delivered to our door. Don’t like egg dishes with onions. The property was funky but beautiful. The view from our room was gorgeous.

Love this property. Friendly staff, fairytale-like setting. Rooms/cottages are comfortable and modern, but rustic and appropriate for the natural setting. Breakfast is fantastic, and the garden, chickens, and llamas are always stress reducers.

Place is nice and clean. It has comfy bed. Easy access. Only reason I can't give them 5 stars is the fact that at $300+ per night for a "Deluxe King" room, I would expect a TV. May be ok with other guest but not for me. Maybe put in bold that " TV is not available as that is a decision the property owner wants to go by," if was quoted by the front desk staff.

Nice farm Inn. Well maintained. They have little touches that take care of and makes your stay very nice. Staff is very helpful. I missed a TV in the room to be honest. I guess they did it on purpose as a “farm inn” but in my opinion, it’s a must and they should have it.

Definitely 5 stars for the views!! We were greeted by the very friendly and accommodating inn keeper. The room was pretty clean, but the top ledge of the headboard on the bed was visibly dirty and looked like it hadn't been dusted in several months. The keurig coffee maker also wasn't cleaned. The sheets appeared clean but were dingy in color. It would have been nice to have more than 2 towels in the room as I use a separate towel for my hair and body, and my husband also uses a towel. It would have been nice to know in advance that the coffee shop on site offers a full breakfast menu. We bought instant oatmeal and yogurt because we were unaware. Besides those minor issues, we loved the views!
