We loved sitting outside by the firepit and fountain with a glass of wine and chatting with some of the other folks staying there. The room was also very clean and comfortable and the location is great as well--you're just a couple of blocks from the town square. The pastries in the morning are also a nice touch...I'd love to find out where they get them!

The room and bed were very nice. There is a courtyard out side that is perfect for reading in the morning or evening. The coffee area was perfect for a good start in the morning. Sonoma has a farmer's market every Tuesday evening that is more of a festival with food truck and music. The mission and downtown are within walking distance.

Great location. Easy to park (street parking). Very clean. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms. In room coffee and fresh pastries in the morning were great. Our room had a nice private patio. Our only problem was that an opaque glass door allowed too much light in the room during the night interfering with sleep.

I've stayed here twice now. Once in the Aroyo Suite and once in the Mission Suite. Both are loverly but I preferred the Aroyo suite because it felt more private. The Mission Suite has two places to sit outside, one is private but small and the other looks out onto the street which was not ideal. The location is great - just a short stroll takes you to the restaurants and bars around the town square. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and made me feel very welcome. On both my visits here I have had a massage at the spa and both times the masseuse was excellent.

While visiting Sonoma for 2 days, my wife & I booked the Courtyard Room at The Cottage Inn & Spa (it was the only room still available at the time of booking). Street parking was easy to find right in front of the inn. Check-in was simple & we were pleased to find that our room was ready a few hours early. First impressions of the room were favorable. It was simple, but very clean & esthetically pleasing. It looked just like the online photos. The small kitchenette with a microwave, coffee maker, bag of fresh ground coffee, tea bags, jam, refrigerator with cream/butter/water, was a nice touch & appreciated. We were surprised to find that there was not a television in our room, but it was not a big deal. I think it's worth mentioning though, in case that's a deal breaker for you. The complimentary pastries delivered to our room in the morning were a bit disappointing. With all of the great bakeries in the area, we were surprised that the pastries were two sugary donuts. Again, not a huge deal, but we expected a bit more. The biggest complaint though with this particular room is that the door is frosted glass and at night, with the lights from the courtyard shining through, it was literally like having a light on in our room. If you are sensitive to light when trying to sleep like we are, then we do not recommend booking the courtyard room! With that being said though, we would definitely consider staying at The Cottage Inn & Spa again, just in a different room.

We spent 3 nights at the Corrage Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet. Located a block away from the Sonoma square, it was conveniently located to various restaurants. The pastries in the mornings were amazing. We look forward to a return stay.

The room was beautiful....and the staff was lovely. One of the days - housekeeping didn't come in to clean (and for the price you are paying - that should just be a done deal) but that was my only complaint. I would definitely stay there again.

The north suite was lovely! Bright and well furnished. Impeccably clean. Loved the fireplace. Grounds cute. Location could not be beat for walkability but still being quiet. Only drawbacks were a fridge that didn’t function, but I’m sure they will repair, and the tiny bathroom. They’ve done what they could do with limited space but it took some skill to navigate. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely wonderful. So clean, beautifully appointed rooms, extremely comfortable bed and bedding, bathrobes I wanted to take home, and freshly baked chocolate and egg & bacon croissants delivered in a basket to your door each morning. If we go back to Sonoma, we will definitely stay at The Cottage Inn.

Lovely and convenient on a quiet street. Beautiful room, courtyards and landscaping. Nobody to greet us, but the check-in system (instructions and text messages) works and is efficient.

Super lovely Staff came out to greet us and show us amenities and our room. Properly is amazing, photos don’t do it justice. Room was impeccable, clean, beautiful and cozy. Well decorated. Loaded with sweet touches and convinces.

Great location and staff! Cute and comfy rooms that are walkable to lots of shops and restaurants. Marcy was wonderful! She was attentive, helpful, and welcoming. She made us feel at home and not like customers. We will be back again!

We loved sitting outside by the firepit and fountain with a glass of wine and chatting with some of the other folks staying there. The room was also very clean and comfortable and the location is great as well--you're just a couple of blocks from the town square. The pastries in the morning are also a nice touch...I'd love to find out where they get them!

Our accommodations were fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay at Cottage Inn and Spa. The room was very comfortable and the shower was great. We truly appreciated the coffee and tea that was available, as well as the pastries in the morning, and the jam and butter. It was also a great place to walk into Sonoma and hang out in the town square. Really just a wonderful place to stay.

We spent 3 nights at the Corrage Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet. Located a block away from the Sonoma square, it was conveniently located to various restaurants. The pastries in the mornings were amazing. We look forward to a return stay.

Absolutely wonderful. So clean, beautifully appointed rooms, extremely comfortable bed and bedding, bathrobes I wanted to take home, and freshly baked chocolate and egg & bacon croissants delivered in a basket to your door each morning. If we go back to Sonoma, we will definitely stay at The Cottage Inn.

We chose this place based on reviews and the fact that we could have our own kitchen. Place definitely exceeded our expectations: Great location, quiet, beautiful, and clean. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was perfect for us- and the fireplace was a great added bonus, super cozy. Highly recommend! Loved our stay here.
