My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the J Patrick House bed was comfy room had a nice fireplace they provide Duraflame logs for a nice touch breakfast was amazing, have done other Bed and Breakfast in Cambria and would recommend the J Patrick House

There is no one greet you at the property and everything is done through text message. Seems like a lot of information had to be given. The pictures of the property are misleading, showing a pool, which there is none. You do have an option of driving down the road to another property which has a pool. Which would’ve been very inconvenient and then have to get in the car wet. We text a few times to get a lighter for the fireplace, soap for the bathroom which they brought in a timely manner. They do have coffee, puzzles, and games to use on your stay. Greeted by a neighborhood cat. A very peaceful area. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

We loved our stay! The rooms were cozy and all have fireplaces. The bathroom was well stocked. The coffee was great in the room and breakfast was delicious and brought right to our door. The outside gardens were beautiful and loved sitting out there with a glass of wine.

Great little place to stay while visiting Cambria. Possible to take the steps from the neighboring hotel garden into the town. We liked the breakfast basket that was dropped off at our door each morning and the warm cookies that met us at check-in.

Everything about this property was outstanding. The included breakfast is delivered to your room and was very good. The room itself had all the things you'd want including a fridge and freezer plus large Keurig coffeemaker. They served warm cookies in the afternoon and had games and popcorn bags. Shower was really large and hot! Parking out front. I would very highly recommend this place.

We love the J Patrick Inn! This is our second time visiting. Although we admittedly miss some aspects of our visit several years ago especially seeing any staff on the property to interact with, it was still a wonderful stay. The grounds and room were beautiful and very clean! Thank you!

This was an excellent place to stay and very quaint and charming. We will most likely return someday. The only issue we had was a horrible check-in experience. It was promoted as contactless, and it was anything but. The credit card processing on the phone was totally lame and completely ineffective. I entered a perfectly good credit card four times and was rejected. when my wife called the support number, she was giving incorrect information as to where to go to check in and then at the check-in we were given wrong information as to how to gain entrance into the property... This resulted in the waste of at least an hour of our time, after a hard day of travel. There are two other issues I should mention so that maybe the property can try to improve. The carpets were dirty in the room. Also, we were told we would have breakfast delivered between 830 and 9 AM and it is now 915 and the breakfast is a no-show. Because we need to get on the road and due to the unreliability of the staff so far, I guess we are just going to have to go somewhere and find breakfast at this point.

Beautifully appointed, spacious, clean and comfortable, we loved our stay here. We didn't expect it to be contactless check in and no-one on site for hosting, however there were very clear instructions and we had no issues so didn't need to speak to anyone. The bathroom was beautifully done and the bed very comfortable. The fan felt historic and cooled the room nicely for a good sleep during our Spring visit. Very tasty and generous breakfast left outside our door in a hamper. Very helpful to have a fridge, and great coffee. A couple of small issues; our table was extremely sticky on the extender flaps (which we needed to eat breakfast) so we had to clean it. The TV didn't work as advised - no access to Netflix/Hulu etc however this would have been a bonus if it had worked. These were minor issues that didn't impact our overall enjoyment. We loved it here and wanted to stay longer.

The room comes with breakfast delivered to your room, which is nice but arrives luke warm and was exactly the same each day. The bathroom was nice but cold, with no heater. The walls are very thin, so we could hear someone snoring, others talking, and another couple…enjoying their stay. Our room was also never serviced (3 night stay) which was only a problem because of trash piling up (from breakfast items) and dirty glasses (we used to drink our daily orange juice). It is a nice place but definitely not a typical hotel like stay.

It's a beautiful place! Great spot for couples. (I was there by myself, but would love to come back NOT by myself.) One thing though: My room was so cold! I turned the wall heater on, but it didn't do as much as I'd hoped. Ended up going to bed wearing a sweatshirt, pants, and heavy socks. Apart from that, I truly enjoyed my stay.

This is a charming little inn with a lot of character. Remote check in was convenient with a code texted day of arrival. Breakfast was delivered to room daily, food was fine & plentiful but unfortunately wasted as we didn't eat most of it. Perhaps a breakfast order form (or text) would be more efficient. We stayed 2 nights & enjoyed it. Coffee & several tea choices were provided in the small lobby. Rooms had a refrigerator & microwave was available in lobby. Very comfy room with fireplace. TV options were limited.

Very comfortable, high quality and quaint. The delivered breakfast was excellent. We would definitely come again, except this time we would insist on an upstairs room. We were in a downstairs room and it sounded like we had elephants on top of us. Not good at 3am when that elephant decides it needs to take a leak.

Furnishings were quite worn out and totally overwhelmed the square footage. We were in room "Kerry". No room to move through this space. Room would be better served with a queen bed. Dining chairs need to be replaced because we sank into the seats which had no interior springs left. Or, get rid of dining chairs since there was bench seating in the window bay. Small-scale furniture would help this room a lot! This was our first visit to Central coast Cali so a a human helping us with questions would have helped a lot. We were not expecting a mystery host. We did not know that this property is connected to the large Cambria Pines across the road. My partner did some investigating the next morning after a rough night and we were moved to a suite there, but it took a lot of effort/negotiating to get moved. I would not stay here again. OK if you are a solo traveler and know the area.

Loved the coziness of the room, the location, the fact that it was a bed and breakfast. Perfect for our anniversary trip. One small issue that luckily didnt affect us because they were quiet is you could hear the people walking around upstairs. Walls not very insulated.

The room was nice, clean and well organized. Fireplace was nice. Could hear people in other rooms and creaky floor above us. Didn't like the idea of the boxed breakfast. Food was cold by the time it got to us and 8:30 is too late. Good communication by the property management.

The property and room are beautiful, quiet and cozy. There was one significant problem in the bed was so soft if dipped that you couldn't keep from falling to the middle of the bed. Also, 8:30-9am breakfast is not early enough. Should start at least 7:30am.

Really quaint Inn. Bedrooms were clean, quiet, well appointed as was the dining area and living spaces in the main house. We had the Cork room with adjoining private bathroom that I thought would be a deal breaker for my wife but she really enjoyed it . Plus the unofficial greeter cat Nana was super friendly. Coffee available at all times. Delicious breakfast delivered to our room, spinach quiche, sausage links, blueberry muffin, yogurt with fruit and OJ. We’ll be back for sure

I love this property. This is my second time staying here and it’s so charming and lovely. The staff are amazing, definitely the highlight of the stay. They showed me great kindness and for that I’m grateful. I can’t wait to return in the future. Keep up the great work you guys.

This was an excellent place to stay and very quaint and charming. We will most likely return someday. The only issue we had was a horrible check-in experience. It was promoted as contactless, and it was anything but. The credit card processing on the phone was totally lame and completely ineffective. I entered a perfectly good credit card four times and was rejected. when my wife called the support number, she was giving incorrect information as to where to go to check in and then at the check-in we were given wrong information as to how to gain entrance into the property... This resulted in the waste of at least an hour of our time, after a hard day of travel. There are two other issues I should mention so that maybe the property can try to improve. The carpets were dirty in the room. Also, we were told we would have breakfast delivered between 830 and 9 AM and it is now 915 and the breakfast is a no-show. You never see or talk to any staff. No breakfast offered and served in a dining area. You get something dropped off at your room to eat in your room or you can take it to a dining area. In our previous stay there was opportunity to interact with staff and guests. Only contact with staff was through text messages which was so impersonal. If you are just looking for a room and somewhere quiet - away from town - this is a good option. Not a true B&B experience.

Zoe was very helpful and answered my text quickly. We only stayed 2 nights and we want to come back. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed the same food both days. I would recommend this lovely inn to everyone

I don't think I'm the kind of person who should be stayin in an "Inn." The whole thing is lost on me. Check in was a pain in the neck. There is no human there just a text message which of course wasn't working because there is virtually no cell service in this area. Arrived after driving 4 hours and couldn't get in. I was told "if you don't get an automated message soon let me k is and I could help you out." I asked "can't you just help me out now?" No reply. Eventually got in. Old building and I didn't know I was going to be sharing our hallway with someone else and listening to them have explosive diarrhea in the hall bathroom throughout the night. Remote to the tv was out of batteries. Found another remote in the building and swapped them out. The tv was a waste anyway as there weren't many channels and I didn't feel like watching judge Judy reruns. Power kept going out in the building. The back half of the house was out the entire time we were there. I moved the coffee maker to the floor in another room to find an outlet and then sat on the floor to make coffee. Went to dinner and when we came back all 3 of the parking spaces for the building were gone so there was nowhere to park. Again, some may find this all charming, it's just not for me. I'm more the concierge level at the Hilton.

JPH was a wonderful stay. No staff in place but they were easy to reach out via text. The room was gorgeous with a warm fireplace, and easy access to the lobby. It’s tucked away in the hill but still close to Main St. Cambria. Bonus: loved the friendly kitty Nana.

Unique is the house and the set up of the rooms... not so good is the check in.... no desk and no code was send by EMAIL, as foreign guests we have no internet , no option on wifi to come in contact... at the property we had to ask at an other location about how to get in.. there the guy at the desked looked in my phone and set my phone settings out of flight mode.... which cost me 59.99 euro because messages came in that i did not want.... he did not understand what i was saying... foreign people have there phones in flight mode to avoid extra cost for roaming etc... probably he never flee overseas..... at the end we found out that the Inn had send me a SMS, something that wasn't said before....

Very clean and nice atmosphere. Check-in was all online/text based which worked pretty well. Room was clean and had a nice fireplace, tv with Hulu and Netflix along with good WiFi. The room comes with breakfast delivered to your room, which is nice but arrives luke warm and was exactly the same each day. The bathroom was nice but cold, with no heater. The walls are very thin, so we could hear someone snoring, others talking, and another couple…enjoying their stay. Our room was also never serviced (3 night stay) which was only a problem because of trash piling up (from breakfast items) and dirty glasses (we used to drink our daily orange juice). It is a nice place but definitely not a typical hotel like stay.

I stayed four nights in this wonderful little inn. The room was beautiful and comfortable with a spacious renovated bathroom. It’s in a beautiful area of Cambria - a 15-minute walk to downtown. Very close to Hearst Castle and Ragged Point, with many scenic stops along the way. I loved everything about the property and would stay there again without question. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Our room was very well-appointed and very convenient for exploring the area. It was extremely comfortable, and we particularly appreciated the breakfast every morning. It was nice to have coffee available in the room, but the coffee was very stale! Also, the rooms in the main house are close to the road, so the traffic noise was a bit much at times.

J Patrick Inn was very quaint. Contactless check in and check out. Very easy. In a quiet neighborhood with the main town within a short drive. All amenities provided and the rooms were clean.

Loved our stay! Set in a good location near downtown. Not exactly walkable due to narrow, winding road but close. Our room was delightful! Loved the decor and the four poster bed. It had a fireplace, although we did not need to use it. Big TV, fridge, coffee maker, real mugs. The bathroom was huge with a tub/shower and awesome shower head. Dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The breakfast in the morning was just enough to get us going before we had to leave. It was delivered to the room in a quaint zippered basket-like bag. Awesome touches all around. We will be back!

Really enjoyed staying at the J Patrick Inn. Firstly they were great at ensuring my booking was smooth and that they could contact me for check-in. The room we got and the Inn overall are really cosy, clean and very welcoming. The free cookies awaiting our arrival were a nice touch. Breakfast was ok - it could have been warmer and maybe being able to select what you want could have saved some food waste. We would definately go back and stay there again!

The property is nice, clean and well maintained. However all the service is now ‘touch less’ and there is no in person interaction. For breakfast, I inquired if I can make selections and was told it was all preset and would be delivered to the room. We really missed having morning breakfast served in the sunroom dining area, and the afternoon get together. The quiche and sausages were cold both days, so we didn't know whether it was because they came in the insulated bag with all the cold things. Since it has been awhile since we have stayed with you, we assume things changed during the covid period. Thank you again.

We loved our stay! The rooms were cozy and all have fireplaces. The bathroom was well stocked. The coffee was great in the room and breakfast was delicious and brought right to our door. The outside gardens were beautiful and loved sitting out there with a glass of wine.

The property and room are beautiful, quiet and cozy. There was one significant problem in the bed was so soft if dipped that you couldn't keep from falling to the middle of the bed. Also, 8:30-9am breakfast is not early enough. Should start at least 7:30am.

Everything about this property was outstanding. The included breakfast is delivered to your room and was very good. The room itself had all the things you'd want including a fridge and freezer plus large Keurig coffeemaker. They served warm cookies in the afternoon and had games and popcorn bags. Shower was really large and hot! Parking out front. I would very highly recommend this place.

We had the Cork room with adjoining private bathroom that I thought would be a deal breaker for my wife but she really enjoyed it . Plus the unofficial greeter cat Nana was super friendly. Coffee available at all times. Delicious breakfast delivered to our room, spinach quiche, sausage links, blueberry muffin, yogurt with fruit and OJ. We’ll be back for sure

Stayed in King room that was clean and very nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed tea and snacks in the garden petting the neighborhood cat. We had a very comfortable and un-rushed experience.

The only note i did not like was the fact that basically there is no privacy at all ; the couple stying on the same floor next door … let say that if you go to the toilet or talk even softly you hear everything …. And i mean Everything :-) The rest was great thank you

Our stay was wonderful! It started off with fresh baked cookies provided as you walk in. The rooms are absolutely stunning and you can tell they put a lot of work into adding charm to the already beautiful grounds. After purchasing your room, you are encouraged to have dinner at the sister company across the street which turned out to be an awesome dinner. It consisted of two entrees which include the specials and a bottle of wine for $80. And the food was delicious! Our stay was wonderful! It started off with fresh baked cookies provided as you walk in. The rooms are absolutely stunning and you can tell they put a lot of work into adding charm to the already beautiful grounds. After purchasing your room, you are encouraged to have dinner at the sister company across the street which turned out to be an awesome dinner. It consisted of two entrees which include the specials and a bottle of wine for $80. And the food was delicious!
