Elegant and comfortable, the Bowman House is surprisingly quiet despite its fronting on Lititz Pike (501). In the rear garden a waterfall offered a tranquil retreat. Scott and Diane served delicious breakfasts, and a guest kitchen is stocked with snacks and a Flavia coffee/cappucino/matcha tea machine. My favorite shoe store, R B Shap, is two miles away and downtown Lititz less than 4. I’ve stayed in four other inns/hotels in the area and this is by far the best. Diane and Scott made me feel very welcome; I’ll gladly return.

My second visit—an 8-minute ride from Lancaster train station. The garden/pound behind the historic house is a tranquil retreat, and a township park nearby offers shady walking. I always head to R.B. Shap (5-min drive) for shoes; Lititz offers dining options. My hosts, Diane and Scott, are welcoming and affable. I will gladly return.

Scott and Diane are excellent host and hostess-friendly, accommodating, welcoming, outgoing and truly happy to have new visitors or welcome back old friends. Their big smile and amicable friendly conversation make us feel immediately at home every time we visit and their intimate knowledge of the Lancaster area always helps to point us in the right direction to see something new and different. The property is beautifully maintained and the 1860 house is in pristine condition. This along with the 3-course top notch excellent breakfast makes the B&B of choice in the Lancaster area. Scott-love the hat. Well done!

The garden around the property was well maintained and enhanced the patio and thus increased our enjoyment of the patio area. The main house is beautiful and kept spotlessly, bringing honor to the memory of the original owners of years gone by. Thank you!

This a beautiful and welcoming bed and breakfast. There are so many little touches that elevate your stay such as the beverage area, snacks and candies, robes for your convenience and comfortable seating areas. The breakfast was delicious and the host was kind and thoughtful. Our room was clean and well set up and the bathroom was updated and came with nice thick towels. The grounds were gorgeous. I definitely plan to come back!

The couple who run the inn were lovely! They made a 5-star homemade breakfast every morning and kept the house very clean and comfortable. The house is located between Lancaster City and Lititz so the location was perfect. Would definitely stay here again!

My daughter and I had a wonderful girls getaway! A friend of mine stayed here last year and spoke highly of the place and its owners, and that's why I chose it. It's very clean, which was one of my concerns with staying somewhere during Covid. We felt very comfortable in our room, and in the entire place. The decor is so pretty and cozy, and we were able to make ourselves at home in any of the downstairs rooms. The breakfasts were amazing, and the portions were filling. Diane is an excellent cook and baker! The location is perfect, right between Lititz and Lancaster, and close to everything we had planned to do in Lancaster County. Diane and Scott are amazing hosts, and were able to answer any questions we had about things to do, and places to eat. We had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend the E J Bowman B&B to anyone!

What a fabulous B&B! The hosts are delightful, respectful, and very sweet. The location was perfect for us, between Lancaster and Lititz, and away from the crazy touristy corridors. The house is immaculate! The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, peaceful, well appointed! We wanted for nothing. Every need was anticipated and prepared for. Our room, Witmer, was quite comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The house is gorgeous and was decorated for the holidays so beautifully and tastefully! The breakfasts were so delicious that the hosts need to publish a cookbook. I have celiac and the hosts were undaunted, ensuring that I was both well fed and given gluten free yummies. This stay was truly a joy!

A totally excellent experience. Hosts were gracious and welcoming. Room was well kept and well appointed. Strong shower and HEATED FLOOR IN THE BATHROOM! Breakfasts were a delight with a nice, diverse, flavorful offering. If we are ever in the area again, this is where we will stay.

The hosts, Diane and Scott, went out of their way to make the stay perfect. They pay attention to fine details, such as snacks and a wonderful breakfast. The only thing that was a surprise is that the property is right on a busy street. We were in a room that faced the street but there was no noise because they had installed sound proof windows. I would definitely return.

Scott and Diane are excellent host and hostess-friendly, accommodating, welcoming, outgoing and truly happy to have new visitors or welcome back old friends. Their big smile and amicable friendly conversation make us feel immediately at home every time we visit and their intimate knowledge of the Lancaster area always helps to point us in the right direction to see something new and different. The property is beautifully maintained and the 1860 house is in pristine condition. This along with the 3-course top notch excellent breakfast makes the B&B of choice in the Lancaster area. Scott-love the hat. Well done!

What a fabulous B&B! The hosts are delightful, respectful, and very sweet. The location was perfect for us, between Lancaster and Lititz, and away from the crazy touristy corridors. The house is immaculate! The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, peaceful, well appointed! We wanted for nothing. Every need was anticipated and prepared for. Our room, Witmer, was quite comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The house is gorgeous and was decorated for the holidays so beautifully and tastefully! The breakfasts were so delicious that the hosts need to publish a cookbook. I have celiac and the hosts were undaunted, ensuring that I was both well fed and given gluten free yummies. This stay was truly a joy!

Scott and Diane served delicious breakfasts, and a guest kitchen is stocked with snacks and a Flavia coffee/cappucino/matcha tea machine. My favorite shoe store, R B Shap, is two miles away and downtown Lititz less than 4. I’ve stayed in four other inns/hotels in the area and this is by far the best. Diane and Scott made me feel very welcome; I’ll gladly return.

My daughter and I had a wonderful girls getaway! A friend of mine stayed here last year and spoke highly of the place and its owners, and that's why I chose it. It's very clean, which was one of my concerns with staying somewhere during Covid. We felt very comfortable in our room, and in the entire place. The decor is so pretty and cozy, and we were able to make ourselves at home in any of the downstairs rooms. The breakfasts were amazing, and the portions were filling. Diane is an excellent cook and baker! The location is perfect, right between Lititz and Lancaster, and close to everything we had planned to do in Lancaster County. Diane and Scott are amazing hosts, and were able to answer any questions we had about things to do, and places to eat. We had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend the E J Bowman B&B to anyone!

The hosts, Diane and Scott, went out of their way to make the stay perfect. They pay attention to fine details, such as snacks and a wonderful breakfast. The only thing that was a surprise is that the property is right on a busy street. We were in a room that faced the street but there was no noise because they had installed sound proof windows. I would definitely return.

We enjoyed our 2 day stay. This B&B was even better than described on the web site. Diane and Scott were wonderful hosts and we look forward to returning the next time we are in Lancaster. P.S. The gourmet breakfast each morning was amazing, and they were considerate of my special dietary requests.

A totally excellent experience. Hosts were gracious and welcoming. Room was well kept and well appointed. Strong shower and HEATED FLOOR IN THE BATHROOM! Breakfasts were a delight with a nice, diverse, flavorful offering. If we are ever in the area again, this is where we will stay.

I was only in for one night, sadly. The owner met me when I arrived and immediately wanted to know what I wanted for breakfast and when I told him that I would be gone before breakfast time, he seemed genuinely disappointed. He offered pastries for me to take in the morning and when I told him I have a gluten allergy he offered homemade chocolate chip cookies that he made gluten free. I accepted and when he came back with them, he also brought back a slice of almond cake that I could eat too! He took the time to show me around and tell me a little about the history of the house, despite me checking in after 10pm. I was shown hospitality when I really needed it after a long travel day (with flight delays) from the west coast. Thank you! Keep making people feel valued and important. Cheers!

The B&B was located in Lancaster and not Lititz like we thought but that was ok because we had already seen everything in Lititz. The owners were very nice. We enjoyed sitting and talking with them when we got there. Everything was so nice and the food was very good!

Absolutely beautiful inn with gorgeous holiday decor. We loved the gourmet breakfast, comfortable room with heated bathroom floor, and the extras such as free cookies, chips, sodas and a latte maker in the kitchen area. The innkeepers were friendly, warm, and welcoming!
