This was our first time visiting the island and the hotel was affordable. we stayed in the Palm suite which was clean and comfortable. No complaints about the property at all. It was recently renovated due to the hurricane and the property was lovely. The only complaint is the advertised ‘walkway’ to the beach- it was flooded and we had to walk our beach cart and feet through ankle deep algae and mud. There needs to be a better way. The hotel should consider improvements on this walkway.

This is a great place to stay a couple looking for a quiet destination. We were really happy to find it so clean. Brand new beach chairs, umbrella, and also a cart to carry it all were on site to use! The walk over to the beach only took about two minutes. They also offer grills and grilling tools on the property overlooking the canal. I wish I would’ve known, we would’ve gone to Jerry‘s to pick up something to grill one night! Little touches like having bug spray and sunscreen on the patio were nice. The bed was very comfortable and the A/C worked well.

This place was lovely!!! The island is going through a tough time. I wanted to come down stay and support locals! I can’t say enough about how lovely they stay was. Very close to the beach, park right outside your door. They have beach chairs and umbrellas for your use. Grill, shower, hose off or even shower!!! Can’t wait to return!

My 1 room studio was impeccably clean and modern. The bedding was super comfortable, and the small kitchen area had everything I needed.Laundry room on premise was a plus. Pool is small and could maybe sqeeze in a few more lounge chairs?Overall I had a great experience at the Sunshine Island Inn and will look forward to another stay!

It was comfortable and friendly. Laid back and relaxing. Loved the layout of the property. Didn’t like the beach path. It was too narrow to walk on. Staff was friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasure meeting the manager Megan who was from West Palm Beach and volunteered for Sunfest with me in transportation area. It was great and had a great time in Sanibel Island. Definitely come back to Sunshine Island Inn. Perfect location.

The small kitchen was fully stock with anything you would need. The unit was so clean when we arrived. They is a wonderful pool which all rooms face with a sliding glass door. The also have chaise loungers, grilling area and even have pool floats at the ready. There is also a sitting area with table and chairs just outside you entry door covered buy an adjustable umbrella. The beautiful beach is just across the street and there is even a private path for the guest. I highly recommend the Sunshine Island Inn it was a great experience!

Very nice place! Spacious! Separate Bedroom was awesome!, full kitchen and bathroom, outdoor seating area, very clean, great pool and designated parking. Close to beaches and restaurants & ice cream shop!

We absolutely love it ! Clean , impeccable, everything looks brand new , we really enjoyed the accommodation and how impeccable everything was , we didnt need anything in our stay so we cant really rate the service but we can absolutely recommend the place , the only thing i would have changed is the acces to the beach , the pathway was very sleppery and there was glass on the floor so i would recommend for guest not to go to the beach barefoot

Perfect stay! In the top 2 of our 9 hotels we stayed in on our road trip. Can't rate it highly enough. Huge and comfortable bed, modern and clean fitments and furniture, doors to parking and to the pool. Only a few minutes from the beach down a path across the road. Easy to find and in a quiet area. Doesn't break the bank and will definitely use again.

Everything was perfect! I stayed in the Palm Cottage and it is one of the nicest places I've stayed. The manager was very kind and accommodating, the place is spotless, the pool is super clean....It's just the perfect place for a couple's getaway. I will definitely return.

Large rooms with updated furniture and utilities. Easy access to beach. Sanibel still needs time to recover. Famous beaches are closed for maintenance but this hotel has demonstrated a strong come back. Rate is reasonable and stay is comfortable. Would recommend.

Cute and sweet room with plenty of room and a full kitchen. Private beach access was nice and right across the street. This place has been completely remodeled after the hurricanes and it is all brand new. Comfortable bed, large walk in shower, big bathroom and parking right out the door from the unit. We loved our stay and we will be back soon.

The owner met us personally and gave us lots of suggestions for things to do today. She was literally the NICEST!!! The room is wonderful. Its been completely rebuilt and everything is so pristine and comfortable. We will definitely come back for a longer stay

Great quiet location - within walking distance of dining, shops, and the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you are looking to relax - this is a great option. Definitely would stay here again!

Such a cute and quaint place to stay. I never saw the staff and so it was a bit inconvenient if you needed something. I ran out of conditioner and you don't have immediate access to request something if needed. Parking and signage on where to go upon arrival was confusing. But I would highly recommend this place because of the atmosphere.

Everything was perfect! I stayed in the Palm Cottage and it is one of the nicest places I've stayed. The manager was very kind and accommodating, the place is spotless, the pool is super clean....It's just the perfect place for a couple's getaway. I will definitely return.

Great quiet location - within walking distance of dining, shops, and the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you are looking to relax - this is a great option. Definitely would stay here again!

Large rooms with updated furniture and utilities. Easy access to beach. Sanibel still needs time to recover. Famous beaches are closed for maintenance but this hotel has demonstrated a strong come back. Rate is reasonable and stay is comfortable. Would recommend.

This was a really cute property with six units that were all redone, because of Hurricane Ian. We stayed in the one called Tropical Paradise, and I would definitely stay there again. We also got to meet the owner and she showed us a few of the other units. The beach is across the street and you have to walk between two buildings to get there, but not a big deal.

Quaint properry with just 6 units and its own pool for a crowd free vacation. Beautiful grounds. Perfect location close to good shelling and within a short stroll on said beach to the light house beach area.

Exactly what i was expecting. Clean (most important), spacious, nicely done with new updates. Quiet, loved how the pool was situated for privacy to guests only. Location was great, short walk to beach. Would stay here again.

The property was clean and well kept. It’s close to every thing. The pool just a few steps out of every bungalow. Full kitchen and use of out grill. Being able cook out was a blast and beat the hustle waiting at a restaurant. Staff was fantastic. I’ve already booked another stay.
