Do not stay here. This place is run down. Probably was really cute and nice in the 60s. Now it is old, dirty and run down. The office area was atrocious. The cabin we stayed in had a terrible smell, TV didn't work, beds were uncomfortable. AC adequate. The whole area was dirty and unkempt. The pool area was totally unsafe and dirty.

Quiet location, the pool was great for personal time off and relaxation.

The room could use an upgrade but it had everything I needed and I was comfortable staying there. The pool was really clean

Run down, dirty, roaches! All the positive reviews must be fake! Every towel looked like it had blood stains, glad i brought my own beach towel. I think the pool was green but didn't get that close. I reserved 2 bed got 1, it didn't really matter. Was not given any wifi password, was too late to ask. Stay Somewhere else.

We love staying here, this was our second time. Pool was closed and we were a little upset about that. My son had looked forward to it since he learned we were going. We will be back, watching the gators from the room and the dock was very exciting for my 8 year old.

This place was plain nasty. There were multiple hairs in the bathroom and something nasty on the curtains. Everything was worn and there was mold everywhere. Just skip it.

Biggest rat hole I ever stayed in. I have never left a review before but this one needs it so you don’t make the same mistake I did and stay here. Disgusting, dirty, worn out. Bugs inside, barking dogs fighting cats outside.

Terrible and unsightly upon arrival. The exterior of the building was very poor. Their was a rooster walking outside of my room the whole time yelling early in the morning. The door locks were not secure. The bathroom had a moldy shower curtain. Their were roach baits scattered all over the room visible. The bathroom towels were dirty. Thank god I had my own linens. The only decent thing was location. The website needs to update how old this location is.

The cottage was very old and in bad need of being updated. Aside from that it smelled musty.

Not well maintained, smelled pretty bad, had to keep the windows and doors open for an hour to be able to stay in. The bedroom window didn’t have mosquito net. The shower curtain had mold. Fridge and kitchen facilities were functional. The sheets and towels were ok. You can survive for one night, but be better off to spend a few more bucks and stay somewhere else.

It’s more of an extended stay motel than a beach resort. Pretty run down, cockroaches, strange stains and smells. The place looks like it was nice back in the day, but could use a good going through to bring it up to normal cleanliness standards. Clerk asked me to leave a cash deposit which I didn’t have, and had to do a walk through on the way out. Checkout is 10am, not 11am as it says on Expedia. I’m sure it’s fine for someone looking to find a bargain motel.

The condo was clean and well maintained. The old couple ( owners) who did the house keeping also were kind and offered us tea on the first day. Everyday basic house keeping was there. We loved the place

Spacious, pretty view, kitchen good, Wi-Fi 2/10, reminds me of an old Texas cabin. Good fishing.

Great old school cottage, only problem was no heat, only a/c. It was only in the 40s, so cold for sitting around. Sleeping was fine. This would be lovely in warm weather if you enjoy a camp-like environment.

I like the individual units. And it’s quiet. We have stayed here several times.

This room served my needs well. I enjoyed the full kitchen and bathtub.

The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. Kitchen utensils were very limited and the hot water was sporadic. Although the host was friendly and helpful, his accent often made it difficult to understand him.

If you just need a place to stay, that’s affordable, this will probably due. Check in was easy enough and it’s pretty quiet other than highway noise. If you’re looking for luxury or amenities then this probably isn’t it. Strong smell of marajuana when we first pulled up to our “cabin”, as some were out on the pier smoking. Seems there are some regulars living in a few of the occupancies and a few strange people around, but otherwise it wasn’t too bad. If there’s no where else to stay, I’d stay again. Staff was friendly. But if there are other options I’d look there first.

This was our first experience with deceptive advertising. The condition was so poor the pictures don’t come close to what we saw. Being seniors there were no stable rails and the cottages were dirty and one was boarded up. Expedia should not be listing this proper if one complaint like this is filed. The owner refused to give us a refund which is additionally offensive to us. I should have read the reviews but I have never had a problem like this on any of our trips.

What would I say? I love this place. Very clean and very quiet. They have a kitchenette inside you can definitely cook and make your own meal no need to eat out.The Bed is very comfortable. Its been a year since I started coming here and here I am still loving this place. The price is better than anyone else. Owners are helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for those who want a cheap but comfortable stay.

I made my reservation in the evening… we arrived later than planned and they never answered the door to sign me in… never got to stay and was not given refund.

I was very disappointed with Lake Ida Beach Resort. The pictures were very misleading. I only stayed one out of three nights due to a cockroach infestation in the kitchen. I left a message for the property and received no response. I wouldn't recommend this property for anyone to stay in.

I was unsure about this place, but it has pretty good reviews, so we decided to give it a chance. We arrived, and it was pretty run down looking form the get-go. We rang the doorbell to get the office's attention, and the guy was a little rude to me when he answered. He was short with us and sort of mumbled, until he got to the part where he wanted a cash deposit to stay in the room; which I didn't have, because I expected the deposit to go on my card. We got into the room. It was old, run down, smelled musty, and the ac wasn't on. As soon as we turned on the ac, it made the whole room smell like pot. My daughter went to used the bathroom, and there was something gross all over the tp. I went outside to try and get my phone to work (the wifi was locked and not offered to us, despite being listed on the site), and the pot smell got worse. Oh, and there was a full wasp nest right over my head on the cabin. I didn't feel comfortable staying there with my daughter, so we went back to the office to tell them we weren't going to stay. The office guy said that he isn't the owner and tried to call the owner, who didn't answer. So, yeah, we ate the cost and went home over staying in this place. DO NOT listen to the good reviews, they're lying. If you're young, on an adventure, and don't care where you're staying, this place might work out for you, but it is NOT a place for families.

These guys were very nice! I was retreating from the rain but the rustic cabin feel appealed to me. I enjoyed the sounds of birds on the lake 5’ away.

Did not stay..Checked out as soon as i checked in. Place is a glorified Motel in a rough part of town. Not recommend to anyone..

Very quaint and unique in an old kind of cabin on a small lake way. It was Like a step back in time. We really enjoyed our stay
