The hotel was very run down. The room reeked of cigarette smoke(even though it was a nonsmoking room) and was incredibly musty. The bathroom was not cleaned, there was hair everywhere and the the toilet was not flushed when I checked in. The pillows on the bed looked like they hadn't been washed and were all different shapes and sizes. Not to mention there was long black hairs on the sheets. All the furniture was scraped and banged up. The amenities said that they had a bar, but there was a sign up that said they do not serve alcohol. I stayed one night and almost decided to sleep in my car. With all the hotels in Fort Dodge, I would suggest staying somewhere else.

So close to being really nice. Simply missing attention to detail in room to make it that way. Crack all the way across the shower enclosure, just should have been addressed as soon as it was noticed.

The room was pretty clean, needed some dusting, and the bathroom was spotless, but the toilet seat was broken. The outside of the property looked bad, needed mowing in back and just overall tidying up. Breakfast was kind of disappointing, but had the basics. The coffee was undrinkable. All in all, I thought it was over priced for what we got.
