Let’s me honest, lodging around Crater Lake is limited. This place looks shady from a distance. But the staff was great and kind. We stayed in the A frame unit which was clean, wifi, kitchen, could sleep 6 comfortably. Great AC and TV. Ponderosa was recommended for dinner and it was surprisingly amazing steak. Cooked to order. Perfect for a family stop.

Welcoming staff. Offered available upgrade to a cabin for a nominal fee. Beverages available all day. Staff directed use to tourist treasures (chain of waterfalls)in the area that we were not aware of. We experienced so much more than expected from previous reviews.

Booked for two nights over Labor Day weekend. Close to Crater and Diamond Lakes. Comfortable king size beds and bedding. Nice bathroom. Very courteous and friendly staff. Simple coffee and bagels free for breakfast. Great Public House (best burger and hand cut fries!) down the street in tiny Chemult. Also Chevron gas station. Many tv channels and ice machine. This is a one story motel so very easy access for anyone. It’s the kind of rustic you expect in the Oregon outback but it’s clean, comfortable and safe. WiFi is free but the Outback has limited cell and WiFi coverage as expected. Still you can stay in touch. Would return gladly.

We stayed in a suite which was half of a cabin. There were 2 bedrooms and a larger living area with a pull out couch and a full kitchen. It felt like staying in an Air B&B but without all the cleaning fees. I was very happy here, the room was great!

It was an average stay at a Inn in the woods just off the highway. The price was excellent for sure. But its a warm bed and a okay shower. They served toast, bagles and english muffins in the morning. They provide instant oatmeal tea and coffee and a soda machine. Check in is available 24 hours. The gentleman that ran the office/property was very kind and respectful. Overall, it was nice. I would say 3/5 stars.

The property does look like much from the street, but the rooms are clean and spacious. We were upgraded to an A-frame cabin that was great - kitchen, living room and two separate bedrooms. The staff were great. Not much in the way of dining options in the town; we bought grovceriez and made dinner in the kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay at Eagle Crater Lake Inn. Customer Service was A ! Our AC A-Frame had all the basics necessary for a family vacation…. cable, pots, toiletries… and plenty of outdoor space for the kids to run and play. The town, Chemult is about 30 minutes from Crater Lake and Diamond Lake. The town Chemult lacks dining varieties selections.

Room was clean/comfortable, easy to access as we could park right in front of it. This is a no frills motel, close to Crater Lake. The proprietor is very nice and we were able to have breakfast in the lobby where we discovered my husbands new favorite instant oatmeal! Mexican restaurant next door is excellent.

Great location near Crater Lake. The staff is amazing and personable. The rooms themselves are very clean with nice cold AC. The property and rooms are rustic and could be updated but overall a nice place to stay.

I liked that the room was clean and everything worked properly. I enjoyed visiting with family camping at Diamond Lake, and having my own place to go in the evening was great. The staff was very friendly, and as promised, the coffee was good.

This is quite literally the worst stay I had anywhere in my life. -Internet is so slow that it won\'t load anything and it was down half of the time. I let the management know and they pretty much replied \'it\'s a remote area, get used to it\' and acted like none of us has ever heard of Starlink. -Tried to charge my card and say that I checked in before I even arrived. (Only found out after Expedia sent me an email) -Power went out the middle of the night and the heat woke me up. The power didn\'t come back until dawn the next day. There is no backup generation system whatsoever in an area prone to forest fires. -Room is dingy with cracked floors, walls and ceiling and I found spiders crawling on the floor. -TV can\'t load more than half of the channel saying it lost service. -They somehow had the audacity to ask for a "tip" for this kind of service at check in. I am not even sure how this is allowed to be posted on Expedia. How is this worth $239? This is beyond bad.

Very run down and room wasn’t very well kept, but we initially looked past that because the sheets and towels were clean. We then woke up to our chip bag rustling in the middle of the night and saw a mouse run across the wall when we turned the light on to investigate. Woke up to droppings on the bedside table and when we brought this to the front desk’s attention at our early check out, we were told it wasn’t a mouse but a baby squirrel and we must have let it in because the droppings weren’t there when we first arrived. We never even left the room once we checked in.

chamult is very small area/street with limited restaurant and has 2 gas stations with a small convinience store. we went in off season. so have to drive long 10 mile via south entrance to get to crater lake while summers with nort entrance will make it easy and full booked hotel. we went in april and mostly empty and its just by highway. The owner and front desk person is friendly and helpful. Room is spacious with good heater and internet but no phone to call front desk for any issues.

Chris, the manager was so friendly and helpful. He texted usin the morning to confirm the room and get an ETA. He welcomed us to the property, offered us free beverages in the social area, offered dining options and just made the visit feel personal. The rooms are aging and quite small, but remarkably clean with very little noise from the outside.

It is too hot upstairs. I opened the window and a moth flew in via the cracked screen. Still too hot. I can’t sleep. It’s 11 pm, and I’m writing this review because I can’t sleep, and I have a long day driving tomorrow. I thought the Midwest Kansas is the hottest this time of year, not some lake in Oregon? I wish I could sleep inside the refrigerator downstairs. It is a full sized refrigerator and I would fit! The staff is nice, though. Should have come here in winter instead of summer. Winter will be warm in here.

We spent the day at Crater Lake and chose to stay at Eagle Crater Lake Inn for the night. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a room with two large beds that were separated by a doorway. The hotel is right off of the highway (we found this convenient) but if the road noise bothers you, bring a sound machine. We were so tired the road didn’t bother us at all! The family running the place was so nice and helpful. They have a small continental breakfast in the morning, which is nice since there aren’t a lot of dining options in the town. I would definitely stay here again!

Staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. Although along highway, our room was quiet and clean with good beds. Offered to bring us to the Amtrak station which we declined as the station is only a 10 minute walk (and the weather was nice)

This is a tired motel that has been converted into a lodge.The rooms were basic and old.The mattress and bed were clean and the shower had been refurbished.The overall feel was staying in a very old basic property. The breakfast was coffee, bagel and bread.

This motel was unique. Right along road side so heard noise all night. Staff was very friendly even though they tried to give our room away. They tried to get in contact with us but we were at Crater Lake with no internet access. They charged for our room, then credited it, then had to recharge when arrived. The owner was very nice and made up for the mix up. The A/C in the room did not work well and caused a bad night of sleep. Breakfast was decent but nothing special. Owners tried really hard. Did appreciate the closeness to Crater Lake NP.

The property is convenient to Crater Lake. The manager Christopher is super friendly, congenial, helpful, and interesting. But the Internet connection, over 2 days was very bad--occasionally you could download a Web page if you waited two minutes. A restaurant down the street provided good Internet, so it is possible--the inn needs to upgrade that.

Booked for two nights over Labor Day weekend. Close to Crater and Diamond Lakes. Comfortable king size beds and bedding. Nice bathroom. Very courteous and friendly staff. Simple coffee and bagels free for breakfast. Great Public House (best burger and hand cut fries!) down the street in tiny Chemult. Also Chevron gas station. Many tv channels and ice machine. This is a one story motel so very easy access for anyone. It’s the kind of rustic you expect in the Oregon outback but it’s clean, comfortable and safe. WiFi is free but the Outback has limited cell and WiFi coverage as expected. Still you can stay in touch. Would return gladly.

Very friendly and accommodating manager, clean room and linens, comfortable bed, and close to crater lake! The manager Christopher was a delight- warm greeting despite our near midnight check-in, and chipper helpful in AM, despite our 0700 check-out. The power went out in entire town during night— knowing we planned to roll early to crater lake trails and wouldn’t be able to get hot caffeine/carbs on way, Christopher had bagged breakfast of yogurt, fruit, bagels, jellies and iced tea ready for our departure, completely made our day!! The room was a bit small and dated, but all we needed was a good night sleep, so it served us well!

chamult is very small area/street with limited restaurant and has 2 gas stations with a small convinience store. we went in off season. so have to drive long 10 mile via south entrance to get to crater lake while summers with nort entrance will make it easy and full booked hotel. we went in april and mostly empty and its just by highway. The owner and front desk person is friendly and helpful. Room is spacious with good heater and internet but no phone to call front desk for any issues.

Staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. Although along highway, our room was quiet and clean with good beds. Offered to bring us to the Amtrak station which we declined as the station is only a 10 minute walk (and the weather was nice)

It was a great stay. Super friendly. He gave us a tour of one of the cabins for a future stay next year with more family. Breakfast was simple but greatly appreciated. I would recommend staying here especially since there are so many beautiful places to go sightseeing nearby. We went to Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and also Odell Lake all gorgeous places to visit even if it is just for a quick picture.

The exterior was dilapidiated and in need of painting and repair. The room was tiny. The amount charged -$217 was exorbitant. There was no coffeemaker; the breakfast only had coffee and instant oatmeal I was totally disappointed

We spent the day at Crater Lake and chose to stay at Eagle Crater Lake Inn for the night. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a room with two large beds that were separated by a doorway. The hotel is right off of the highway (we found this convenient) but if the road noise bothers you, bring a sound machine. We were so tired the road didn’t bother us at all! The family running the place was so nice and helpful. They have a small continental breakfast in the morning, which is nice since there aren’t a lot of dining options in the town. I would definitely stay here again!

Room was clean/comfortable, easy to access as we could park right in front of it. This is a no frills motel, close to Crater Lake. The proprietor is very nice and we were able to have breakfast in the lobby where we discovered my husbands new favorite instant oatmeal! Mexican restaurant next door is excellent.

Strong points: proximity to Crater lake, room was clean and was made up daily without us having to ask for it a rarity these days. Bathroom and flooring had been redone, fridge and microwave were good to have. Low points: wifi so weak as to be unusable, free breakfast was nothing but coffee and toast.

Une sympathique étape avant Crater lake! La chambre est propre et agréable. Un peu chère quand même, mais pas trop d'autres alternatives dans les environs malheureusement. La dame à l'accueil très pro et agréable. Boissons à volonté dans le lobby et bon petit déjeuner .

The room was clean and well equipped, and so quiet! Check in was easy and the breakfast was various toastable breads/instant oatmeal/coffee/tea but they also had a fountain drink machine which was very nice.

Place is nice and clean. Particularly the staff was extremely helpful with travel suggestions that ended up as good options. He helped us voluntarily, also saved breakfast knowing we were late. Overall stay was excellent, very hard to see such hospitality these days
