We had our own private hot spring, parking is right out front of the room these two features were amazing. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Definitely stay again and and recommend to anyone!

Very pleasant little place to stay that is a short walk to Lava hotsprings. The room was cozy and clean with the world\'s largest tub that you fill with hotspring water....that\'s a dream come true for me! The staff were all very pleasant as well. My only complaint is that the outdoor soaking "hot tub" needed a good cleaning and emptying, which they were doing the day we left so I guess staying during the week W-F is what got us there. But we\'d definitely stay here again!

I was working in Soda Springs, as apparently a lot of other people were, as none of the hotels there had a vacancy. I booked a room at this little place in Lava, and boy, that sure was a good decision. My room was very nice and clean. All of the rooms in the main building were named after artists. After getting off work each day, I could walk to the hot springs and soak. I was there for two nights, and one night I ate at the Brewery/bistro across the street from the hotel, and the next night I bought a steak from the grocery store in Soda Springs and grilled it on the grill they had for use on the lovely guest deck at the hotel. There were so many things to see and do in walking distance, that even though I was on a work trip, it felt like a vacation. My favorite part was the bathtub in my room, which was a big oval soaking tub that was easily filled with water fresh from the hot springs. Wonderful hosts, I would be pleased to return with my family!

I liked the location. We were next door to the brewery and the hot pools. The rooms have large soaker tubs and there is a hot tub on the property. We also used the hot pool at their sister hotel. I took my 7 year old grandson and he loved it. Coffee and tea in the hotel lobby. I like coffee makers in my room which they didn't have but a minor issue, not a deal breaker. Staff was friendly.

Access to their sister property’s hot spring pool was nice. It was only a 2-3 minute walk from our room. The air conditioning kicked a$$ in our room!! The tub is Massive (could easily fit 5-6 midg3ts) and they pipe in the hot springs water directly into the tub inside the hotel room to soak privately!!!

We stayed in a room with a patio and hot tub. We LOVED the hot tub that was fed with natural hot springs water! Also the spring water is used for the showers and the water is so nice! The staff were friendly and helpful. They offer coffee/tea in the reception area. The hotel is right downtown and next to the hot springs park plus walkable to all the restaurants. There is also a community patio with tables and chairs that we enjoyed with our family who was traveling with us.

The base rooms are along the road with no dedicated parking. So you'll either have to get lucky and get a spot on the street or park in their back lot in the roped off area which is a little inconvenient. The service was excellent and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with food suggestions and any other inquiries we had. Charming place in a charming town!

Property is close to lots of restaurants and shops, easy assigned parking. Walking distance to Lava Hot Springs Pools. Rooms are small and the heater was a little loud when it kicked on, but overall it was good. Coffee in lobby, not in rooms. Liked the big soaking tub in room and the public hot tub outside.

Great location convenient to lots of stores on Main Street love to have the private hot tub. However, rooms could’ve been cleaner floors definitely needed to be mopped. Bugs everywhere in room. Biggest issue is AC in room was extremely hot until about 2:3 in the morning

Room was clean but found tiny cockroaches on the wall the two person tub you can't even use because the plastic is peeling and it cuts into skin.

The queen room was very small and cramped. The heater didn’t work and it was cold. They had a portable heater in the room instead. We picked tge room because of the whirlpool hot springs tub in the room. The jets for the whirlpool tub did not work. They did not disclose this until we had checked in. Would not go there again.

The people were amazing but the bed was so terrible. Everything else was good. The room was as clean as possible for how old the hotel itself is. Definitely still has a musky old smell, which makes anyone uneasy. The sheets and bedding all clean. The room was as clean as possible but the condition of the bed was awful. Especially when you are out of town to take advantage of the hot pools and massage, after that bed my back is worse off then before I left home. Definitely won’t be adding that to the list of places to stay again. Also it was very loud next to the street. We were awoken all through the nights all weekend, from loud music to stupid drivers. It wasn’t my favorite stay.

The hotel has a great location. Close to the hot springs and walking distance to everything in town. The walls are thin and I was able to hear the neighbors just talking and was worried about hearing them through the night but it was very quiet.

Small room, but sufficient. Comfortable bed. HUGE soaking tub fed from hot mineral springs. Close to Lava Hot Springs pools, several dining options, coffee. It's a cute little town.

Great location. Old but nice rooms. BUT- The hotel needs to invest in new door knobs and windows. The rooms are NOT secure. Old school keys and old door knobs do not work well. One of our rooms would not lock. Management instructed us how to switch rooms late at night. The other room had a window that was difficult to lock. And for most of our stay we had problems locking and unlocking our doors. Front desk people were helpful and kind and know about this issue. I’m only mentioning it in this review to put pressure on the owners to make their hotel rooms more secure and safe for their guests - especially since the hotel has outside rooms. I would love to stay here again bc it’s a quaint little place and right by the hot springs.

Door entry needs to be updated. Original motel key entry seemed unsafe: hard to manipulate key to open. Good decor, nice tub, but windows and doors need updating. Lovely staff.

I am thoroughly impressed with the staff during my stay. I cut my finger pretty bad, my own fault, and the staff went out of their way to help me by driving me to the local store to get some butterfly bandages and etc. to administer first aid. They were kind and attentive and just pleasant to visit with. After that, the stay was superb! The soaking tub with the mineral water from the spring was a unique touch and very relaxing. We slept well after a soak and walked to breakfast and the hot springs the next morning. I will be staying here every time I come back!

Staff was verify defensive that began at checkin. They were complaining about damages created by guests. I expressed that was terrible and could not believe people would act that way and be destructive. Within the first hour we had questions and requested a few things for more comfort that was denied. We were fine with that. We were nice about everything. Next thing we knew maintenance showed up at the hot tub explaining a few things were for safety and again told us not to touch or mess with anything. Then looking around at the signs posted. They also stated not to touch or mess with settings. We made no threats or had any intention to. Maintenance showed up and was quite rude. As he walked away saying to quit harassing the front desk. We called once and was nice. The first hour of our stay we felt very un-welcomed. I have stayed at 5 other places at Lava Hot Springs. I would suggest another place.

We called once and was nice. The first hour of our stay we felt very un-welcomed. I have stayed at 5 other places at Lava Hot Springs. I would suggest another place.

We love visiting Lava every year. Last year we found a last minute booking at the home hotel. It’s a little older than some of the hotels but Tracy (front desk) made it awesome. We were so happy when she called the day before our booking to make sure we were coming. The only thing I asked is if she was going to be there . She truly makes it feel like you are staying with relatives - all the good parts, none of the annoying parts. Thanks Tracy and we hope to see you next year.

While there was an issue with the AC, the person who manages it, Tracy, was incredible with all she does there. Makes you feel welcome, fixes any and all issues, which if any arise you let her know and she does an amazing job. My pillow had a tear, she replaced it, AC didn’t work, she brought me a fan, dogs in a parked car outside barking, but my concern they were left there over night, she made sure she got the plate and verified they weren’t staying all night, it was someone at the restaurant across the street. Truly above and beyond service and my fiancé and I will be coming back because of this experience.

I received an email asking me what time we would be checking in. I was out of service all day in Yellowstone, so at 7:19 when I finally had service I said it would be sometime around 10. I didn't get a reply. When we got to the hotel there was a number to call. When I called the person said I needed to give her $150 deposit and that she left at 10, so the room was left open with the keys in it. She said she didn't have my phone number but had my email. I explained the situation. Then she said she tried to call me several times but I didn't answer. We checked the room out and were so uncomfortable and felt so unsafe that we called Expedia to make a complaint and ask for a refund. This is the worst policy ever.

I really like this hotel because it’s cute, quaint and comfortable. The staff are always so kind and helpful. The free coffee and hot chocolate is a major plus. The hotel is historical. When I walk into the hotel lobby, I feel like I’ve been transported back to the early 1900s. The hotel has a very beautiful charm to it.

The hot spa both outside and in the huge soaking tub in the room felt amazing on sore tired muscles. The restaurant right next door had great food and beer and was only 50 yards away. Would definitely recommend this place!

Quaint little hotel, our room had a hot tub in it verses going to the hot springs. It made for small quarters but doable. The only problem was the blinds that need to be replaced and if you want coffee or teas you have to provide your own.

I liked the location. We were next door to the brewery and the hot pools. The rooms have large soaker tubs and there is a hot tub on the property. We also used the hot pool at their sister hotel. I took my 7 year old grandson and he loved it. Coffee and tea in the hotel lobby. I like coffee makers in my room which they didn't have but a minor issue, not a deal breaker. Staff was friendly.

This is a great place to stay! Even though it is an older hotel, it is very clean, nice beds with an extra large tub with hot springs water. The staff was great. The small town is walkable with a variety of restaurants as well.

This is a quaint hotel that has everything you need! If the hotel doesn' t have it, it is within walking distance for sure! Within a hop and a skip of the hot springs and one of the best restaurants we've experienced!!

We spent a night here in late May while on a road trip vacation. Positives were the big in-room soaking tub fed by hot spring waters, easy parking, and the friendly host. However, the town of Lava Hot Springs was just not for us - overcrowded with tourists and grungy with litter. After 8:00 we had a hard time finding place to eat ... walked out of one place that was just too dirty. Four stars for the hotel but none for the town.

Property is close to lots of restaurants and shops, easy assigned parking. Walking distance to Lava Hot Springs Pools. Rooms are small and the heater was a little loud when it kicked on, but overall it was good. Coffee in lobby, not in rooms. Liked the big soaking tub in room and the public hot tub outside.

It was fairly hot when we were there. We were in the building on the second floor. Our friends were in the outside newer units. Our air conditioner barely kept up to give us some cool. Theirs was way colder. We were close to everything, walking distance and had a great time. I would stay there again. Rooms were tight in ours. Others seemed better for set up. We had a crowded weekend for the Hot Springs, but the Hottest pool was closed for renovation. We golfed for 2 day and had an enjoyable time. Parking was good.
