Nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel assez tard dans la soirée. En entrant dans la chambre, nous avons constaté plusieurs problèmes : un bruit constant provenant de la climatisation, un coffre-fort qui ne fonctionnait pas, ainsi qu’une fenêtre mal isolée laissant passer l’air chaud et le bruit de l’extérieur. Nous avons immédiatement contacté la réception pour signaler le bruit de la climatisation et le problème du coffre-fort. Un membre du personnel est venu vérifier. Il a reconnu le bruit, mais nous a dit que ce n’était « pas si grave » et que nous pouvions dormir comme ça jusqu’au lendemain — avec une attitude qui donnait presque l’impression que nous exagérions. Concernant le coffre-fort, il n’a même pas pris la peine de le vérifier. Il s’est contenté de dire qu’il ne fonctionnait pas et qu’il n’y avait rien à faire. Nous avons donc passé toute la semaine à garder nos passeports et notre argent dans nos sacs à dos, faute de pouvoir les laisser en sécurité dans la chambre. Enfin, la fenêtre laissait passer beaucoup d’air chaud et de bruit, ce qui rendait la température difficile à réguler malgré la climatisation.
