Simple Life Talay & Divers Resort

je ne recommanderai jamais cet hôtel! Déjà je suis arrivée devant le bungalow, l’extérieur était détérioré, ensuite nous sommes rentrés et une énorme araignée était sur le mur, cela n’avait inquiété personne. Ensuite, le logement était sale, les murs se détérioraient, il y a même un champignon qui poussait à travers le mur !!! Le miroir de la salle de bain était tellement sale qu’on ne voyait pas grand chose, sans compter les grosses marques de rouille dessus. Les draps étaient tachés bien évidemment, les équipements (bouilloire par ex) n’avaient pas grand intérêt puisqu’il n’y avait pas de prise. Et tout ça, sans compter que j’ai pu faire la rencontre de plusieurs milles pattes dans cette chambre. Ce logement m’a traumatisé avec un prix quand même assez conséquent pour la Thaïlande, on attend au moins un logement propre et bien entretenu, les insectes bon.. c’est une île après tout ! Mais c’était la goutte de trop! La réceptionniste a quand même accepté un remboursement des 3 dernières nuits (sur 4), bon c’était la moindre des choses … Mais j’ai fait bcp d’hôtels en Thaïlande et lui a été, de très loin, le pire de tous. J’ai pourtant dormi dans des auberges de jeunesse qui étaient bien plus propres que ça. Je ne comprends pas pq les chambres sont encore proposées.

The room was dirty and the toilet didn’t flush properly and the shower was cold Everytime !! We wore not happy with this hotel on website makes it look like the chilli wave hotel …

The buildings are rundown but everything is functional. The concrete in the pool is sharp and raspy but the vibe and the price is perfect!

Do not stay in the cheaper rooms i thought id booked the rooms attached to the hotel little did we know we had booked the 1s over the rd same hotel just different rooms to the rest really not nice dirty bugs no windows did 1 night as hadeto and left staff really helpfull and nice tho couldnt fault them lovely people

From check in, the experience at this place was awful. Firstly, it’s not where you expect it to be and it’s part of Cliffview? Simple Life. Expedia advertises the check in time as 8am, which was part of the reason we booked this hotel as we had an early ferry. Upon arriving we were told check in was 2pm!!! When I questioned this I was met with immediate hostility and told ‘if you don’t like the check in time then book somewhere else’ in so many words. Miraculously, they found us a room which was quite honestly horrible. It was behind the main hotel on what can only be described as a dumping/building site and had a bad smell. Our window looked out onto what seemed to be a house and we were woken in the morning by loud coughing due to the proximity. This wouldn’t have been bad if our sleep the night before wasn’t interrupted by some sort of construction work going on in the room next to us, constantly drilling for a few hours on and off. The noise and location wasn’t the only issue, the room was definitely very simple. It was also dirty and the towels were threadbare, the bedspread had hole/stain and the toilet blocked almost immediately. My partner wouldn’t even shower in this place because he said it would make him feel dirtier than before! When we asked for the toilet to be unblocked they were again very hostile and said they’d fix it ‘this time’. We disliked this place so much we ended up leaving Koh Tao early as we couldn’t stand to stay another night in that place.
