Fabulous location - short walk to all the sites and in centre of the old town restaurants and shops. The view of the Acropolis from the restaurant for breakfast or dinner was stunning and all the staff were excellent. Had the tasting menu one evening - amazing presentation and flavours. Breakfast was ordered from a wide selection of dishes all freshly prepared and served to the table rather than buffet style. Delicious.

Lovely, tasteful, clean, modern, and small. We only enjoyed breakfast on the roof and it was great. The location is perfect. Couldn’t imagine better. Only weird thing is going up a small flight of stairs to get to the elevator to the room.

A quiet hotel in the middle of a high tourist area. Lovely beds and very quiet. Limited amount of rooms on each floor. There is an elevator but is small. The rooftop restaurant is very unique for dinner. It also is wonderful for an included breakfast. You can view the Acropolis in all its glory. They have outdoor front sitting area with a restaurant that is great for a quick drink or just to people watch. The staff is very accommodating and will take your luggage to and from your room along with holding it for your transportation at a later hour. We will definitely stay there again if we return.

Lovely, intimate hotel in a fantastic location: walking distance to Acropolics, excellent restaurants, and Plaka district. Enclosed rooftop restaurant with fabulous views of the Acropolis. Would definitely stay again!

The positives about this hotel are location and the friendly staff. The views to the Acropolis are fantastic. It is on the expensive side. The hotel only has one small tiny elevator.

This Hotel is completely inaccessibility to facilities for people that require a cane. You have to walk up stairs to get to the elevator to your room. The main restaurant is only accessible to take the elevator to the 6th floor by walking up about 20 steep winding floors. My poor husband had to stay in the room and get food delivered. If you are mobility challenged, this hotel is impossibl.

I have been staying in AthensWas several times in the past few years. I like the hotel location and the roof top view. Breakfast is really good and staff are very friendly and helpful. One thing I was not happy about this time is the mosquitos in the room. I couldn't sleep well.

The shower flooded our room but the staff was able to put us in a suite instead. It started off not great but was fully redeemed by their actions and consideration.

The location was absolutely amazing! As soon as we arrived, the front staff service was fabulous. Very welcoming, attentive, helpful and kind! Given a map of the area, luggage was kept so that we were able to tour around while our room was prepped, a lovely ice tea drink served. Just great! Room is clean and modern. Only wish there was a bathtub and that we could turn up the volume of the tv just a bit. Car transportation to the airport was arranged for us. Just a great property and again, super front staff! Thank you!!!

Great hotel. Friendly staff, perfect central location with lovely view of the Acropolis from room and roof top restaurant. Room was a good size and quality, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast on the roof top restaurant was excellent.

My wife and I stayed here and we absolutely loved it. We were greeted immediately upon arrival (the second we stepped out of our cab, before the bags were pulled out of the vehicle). Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. Would highly recommend staying here. One note: there were elements of the room that were clearly a bit worn (some scrapes and dings on furniture, etc). This didn’t really bother us, because the room was still super clean and really nice.

The AthensWAS hotel is in a perfect location if you want to see the Acropolis and the surrounding historic sites and museums. A very easy walk to everything. The hotel is a beautiful boutique design with nice amenities. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating if you need to drop your bags before the room is ready. By the time we returned, our luggage was already delivered to our room. They also arranged a beautiful ride to the airport for us. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to Athens!

Great hotel at a very good location! The hotel is located close to the acropolis with a great unobstructed view from the restaurant at the top floor. The street near the hotel is filled with great restaurants and cafes, and with a short walk to the streets of the old city and 15 minutes walk to the city center. The room was very clean and offered blinds that block light completely. The bathroom is modern with a very good rain shower head. The breakfast was truly exceptional - it is a la carte without a buffet. The food was exceptional and the staff super friendly.

Hotel is in excellent location. - easy walk to acropolis but views from some hotel rooms do not face this treasure instead face other buildings. Such a disappointment. Staff hospitable and helpful.

AthenWas is an excellent boutique hotel that is perfectly located close to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and Archnif Hadrian. It’s walking distance to the Plaka, National Gardens and Syntagma Square. The service in the hotel is excellent. The service team at the front desk and the restaurant is very attentive and responsive. The food in Sense and breakfast were excellent. The rooms are clean. The hotel provides bottled drinking water everyday. There is a coffee machine in the room. The only negative is that the air conditioning does not get cold enough and the room could be warm even in the winter. Also, ask for a room facing the back of the hotel if you are not used to city sounds.

A very nice small touristy hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small. we had a deluxe. Bathroom is right by bed and did not have a decent mirror in room. Our room was on a lower floor (2d) so basically looked out to the front of the hotel - not great. McDonalds right next door so kind of seedy and lots of kids, etc. My son’s room was in back of hotel. cute balcony but kind of dark. Reviews made me think the front of hotel (“bistro”) would be nicer & more inviting, but I would never think of sitting out there, way too busy with foot traffic and McD’s, etc. Unfortunately we could not keep the balcony doors open at night in our to keep air circulating because of the noise from McD’s and traffic, and fan system was not very useful. It is great location if this is your first time exploring Athens though. They serve an inordinate amount of food at breakfast. Very nicely prepared & I guess having really big individually prepared breakfasts is a real plus for some travelers. Note: They packed breakfast boxes for us one morning and they were really pathetic; not worth the 15€ they charge for breakfasts. (We had 2 rooms, one of us arrived on 3d day & hotel told us they charged €15 a day for extra person in room. One of those days was for the ridiculous hard fruit and hard mini ham & cheese white bread sandwich.)

Fab property in a great location. Great staff and breakfast. The sound proofing in between the rooms is terrible, you can literally hear every single word, this needs addressing.

The breakfast and dinner restaurant just above has a tiled floor and chairs without rubber and louter scratching begins at around 6 in the morning when they arrange chairs and continues till after breakfast time. You also hear each guest walking. Easy to fix: put carpet on the floor and rubbers under chairs.

AthenWas is an excellent boutique hotel that is perfectly located close to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and Archnif Hadrian. It’s walking distance to the Plaka, National Gardens and Syntagma Square. The service in the hotel is excellent. The service team at the front desk and the restaurant is very attentive and responsive. The food in Sense and breakfast were excellent. The rooms are clean. The hotel provides bottled drinking water everyday. There is a coffee machine in the room. The only negative is that the air conditioning does not get cold enough and the room could be warm even in the winter. Also, ask for a room facing the back of the hotel if you are not used to city sounds.

Wow the staff at this hotel is fantastic. The location was ideal for walking around Athens. The property has amazing staff who are professional, friendly and caring. The breakfast was excellent - the staff even packed us a to go breakfast for an early morning flight. We will definitely stay again.

Everything was great, location, reception, etc. However breakfast service is too slow , food takes a long time to be served, and our order was wrongly taken several times (for two days in a row) by the young lady... She should write down the orders because she can't memorize them all... To finalize, the portions of food are pretty small, sometimes even ridiculous.

The service at this Hotel was above and beyond from first contact until we left. They arranged our pick up from the airport to the Hotel but what made it top level service was while we were in the car they called the driver to make sure we had been picked up. Every interaction was above normal level of service and made us feel like the only guest at the hotel/VIP's. When I go back to Athens this hotel will be my first choice.

The concierge service was top notch. They were always very attentive to our needs, offered to order us a taxi anytime we were going out of the immediate area, , provided several tips and tourist sites to see, and marked a map to make it easy. They even brought me an espresso to my room because I couldn’t get mine to work (until I figured it out!). Anna was our server at the rooftop restaurant and was fantastic, warm, funny, hospitable. Breakfast was AMAZING and of course everything fresh and plentiful. We would stay there again with no question. It’s in the middle of anything you want to do and the Metro is very close if you choose.

Very nice hotel in central Athens. Location is key, very walkable to attractions, dining and transportation. Room condition is very modern. Provided amenities are more than enough. FUSE restaurant provides a very nice view of acropolis. Staffs are very attentive.

A quiet hotel in the middle of a high tourist area. Lovely beds and very quiet. Limited amount of rooms on each floor. There is an elevator but is small. The rooftop restaurant is very unique for dinner. It also is wonderful for an included breakfast. You can view the Acropolis in all its glory. They have outdoor front sitting area with a restaurant that is great for a quick drink or just to people watch. The staff is very accommodating and will take your luggage to and from your room along with holding it for your transportation at a later hour. We will definitely stay there again if we return.

Our stay at AthensWas was a pleasant one. Our dinner at the rooftop SENSE restaurant was pricey (a price fixed tasting menu with no a la carte option) but the food was very good and beautifully presented by the server. The VIEW is the star here and our table up against the open window with both of us facing the Acropolis was absolutely Amazing!! Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff could not be more accommodating. We had a brief issue with our room not being cleaned but after it was mentioned it was immediately taken care of. The McDonald’s next door was a welcome lunch after our Acropolis tour and the nearby Athina restaurant made for a delicious meal the second evening. The hotel is located in a great area for walkable shopping with many very reasonably priced shops within a 15 min walk. 50€ flat rate to get there from the ferry terminal and to get to the airport when leaving. Not unlike NYC. All in all a great spot when in Athens.

In a prime location, the room was clean and the decor was beautiful. The staff was attentive and the breakfast and lunch were phenomenal. The only downside was the dinner at Sense was disappointing. If you are visiting Athens- this is the hotel you need to stay at!

This is a lovely boutique hotel, right in the heart of central Athens. As the name suggests, it has great design, but more importantly it was comfortable and quiet, while being very close to everything. The views of the Acropolis from the breakfast room are stunning. The staff was lovely - I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to have the opportunity to return one day.

Excelente ubicación (los taxis del aeropuerto si llegan hasta la puerta, el nuestro nos vendió el cuento de que no y nos dejó a 3 cuadras arrastrando maletas, no te dejes sorprender), el hotel precioso y en la mejor zona turística con todo accesible a pie. La atención inmejorable, el personal de recepción atento en todo momento y con gran actitud. El desayuno en el restaurante excelente y la vista del Partenon en la noche increible. Las habitaciones amplias y muy cómodas.
