Came to see a child in a college performance, so only one night. A nondescript but perfectly serviceable old-fashioned room. Has a very charming center area, with a gazebo, several chairs and lots of greenery. (I was there in early May, and for that reason perhaps, lots of spring blooming.) Unbeknownst to me when I reserved it, the room price includes a very generous breakfast. I didn’t partake, but before ten they also offer one free glass of beer or wine, My only complaint is there’s only one way out that I could tell from my room to the front door, and that is via the dining area.

Booked this room last minute when I had to pick up my son from Kenyon. The room was clean, the court yard was pretty and the staff was very nice. The bed was comfortable. The complimentary brownies, coffee, and cocktail at night were an added bonus after a 9 hr drive. Will definitely stay there again.

Breakfast was wonderful in taste and service. The dining room was beautifully decorated for the season; makes me want to come back in other seasons to see what they will look like. Service was excellent! Parking perfect - off the road but right behind the rooms for convenience, well lit and clearly marked. I will definitely come back to this gem in the future!

We were welcomed by Alex, who made us feel at home. She was very helpful with knowledge of the Restaurants nearby. She told us bikes were welcome to and provided a number of places that we could keep them overnight. We asked for rags to wipe down our bicycles. She dropped them off just a couple of minutes later. The dining room staff at our server very nice and efficient. The food is very good. We especially liked the menu and made to order breakfast chocolate chip cookies, and the offer of a glass of wine A nice touch as was the beautiful and well-maintained garden.

Courtyard provided a private landscaped area to enjoy the evening. I felt like i was hidden away in the garden, but reall close to everything. The breakfast was first rate restaurant style.

Our second stay in 2 months! Rooms are older and small, but very quiet and comfy! Wonderful patio tables with ceiling fans on outside garden areas. Breakfast is the best with full service waitress and many selections in a beautiful formal dining room within the old Inn itself. Price reasonable and breakfast experience is included in reservation cost! Love this quaint Inn!

All rooms are on a single level with exterior entrance. The courtyard outside the rooms is landscaped nicely, with a stone path to get through. The main building hosts the front desk as well as the lounge area. In the evening you can relax in there with a glass of wine, and in the morning is an excellent fresh fruit buffet and coffee. You then get to choose a traditional breakfast item from the menu, which is then made to order. The food and coffee were excellent and the staff could not have been kinder. The "hotel room" felt more like a bedroom. Aged sturdy furniture and a comfortable bed made you feel more like you were visiting someone's home. The Inn was established in 1955, so it is not the sterile wallpaper and plastic that makes up most hotels these days. It is old and clean and a truley wonderful place to spend an evening or 2.

My wife and I stayed for one night. We got in late so we didn’t have the chance to see much of the area. Our stay very nice. Our room was clean and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would go back again if I’m out that way!

This is a really really nice and quaint hotel in this area of Ohio. Town has a lot of old school style, and that’s reflected at this establishment. Rooms are from the past and some degree, but very clean, quiet, and sound. Breakfast and staff and overall atmosphere very very pleasing. I would stay there again.

Everything was wonderful. I was just passing through town and so glad this is where I stayed. It was clean, comfortable and had a nice charm about it. The staff was super friendly. The little garden area outside was beautiful and the free breakfast was delicious and filling. I plan to make a special weekend trip here sometime soon when I need to just disconnect and spend a peaceful weekend alone away from the hustle and bustle of city life!

Quiet and quaint property just outside of downtown Mount Vernon (can walk to the square-a few blocks).. Courtyard is nice. Made to order breakfast was very nice. Check in was a breeze. Staff was very friendly. Can be a romantic getaway.

I loved the room, the breakfast and how quiet it was. I will definitely stay here again. They only improvement I would suggest is the shower pressure was not very strong. We also happen to be in a room right by all the Christmas lights so the lights shined in our room through the window by the bed that was frosted with no blinds. It didn't get dark inside while sleeping.

The staff was definitely the shining star of this establishment. They went above and beyond without me even asking for a thing. The room were large, but the toilet location in my room was very oddly located. It was tucked 90 degrees off from the sink so that when you sat down on it, you could rest your arms on the side of the sink. Wasn't a problem for me, but a larger guest might have difficulties. Nothing bad, just something to note. Everything was clean, the garden courtyard was pleasant and the outdoor chairs and tables were appreciated.

The breakfast room was a graciously appointed room with full length windows, white table cloths, cut fruit on a side tables, and a gourmet breakfast menu with wait staff. Downside: overpriced considering the small, not well-lit, inexpensively appointed rooms. Not much privacy/space between the window and people walking by unless the louvered shade was down & closed.

Expected an 1800s historic hotel room based on the advertising. Our room was on 1950’s motel room. Breakfast was nice with nice surroundings in the breakfast room, and staff was very nice.

The Mount Vernon Inn is lovely and the staff and service is the best we have had in a long time! The gardens are lovely and the complimentary breakfast in the morning and the glass of wine in the evening are a lovely touch and increase the value.

This local Inn was very cute, cozy and incredibly welcoming. We didn't really know what to expect and were so pleased when we arrived! Everyone was so kind, helpful, and provider absolutely the best service. I travel frequently for work- this was a personal trip for a friend's wedding and the best stay experience I've had in a long time! Definitely recommend!!

We were welcomed by Alex, who made us feel at home. She was very helpful with knowledge of the Restaurants nearby. She told us bikes were welcome to and provided a number of places that we could keep them overnight. We asked for rags to wipe down our bicycles. She dropped them off just a couple of minutes later. The dining room staff at our server very nice and efficient. The food is very good. We especially liked the menu and made to order breakfast chocolate chip cookies, and the offer of a glass of wine A nice touch as was the beautiful and well-maintained garden.

A super-cute vintage cottage style inn. At first glance it might appear like a roadside motel, but once on the property the charms wipes away that image. All rooms are on a single level with exterior entrance. The courtyard outside the rooms is landscaped nicely, with a stone path to get through. The main building hosts the front desk as well as the lounge area. In the evening you can relax in there with a glass of wine, and in the morning is an excellent fresh fruit buffet and coffee. You then get to choose a traditional breakfast item from the menu, which is then made to order. The food and coffee were excellent and the staff could not have been kinder. The "hotel room" felt more like a bedroom. Aged sturdy furniture and a comfortable bed made you feel more like you were visiting someone's home. The Inn was established in 1955, so it is not the sterile wallpaper and plastic that makes up most hotels these days. It is old and clean and a truley wonderful place to spend an evening or 2.

A lovely gem near downtown. Was an easy walk to the square for the farmers market and a few blocks farther to Ariel park(amazing!). Breakfast was generous, quick and delicious. My only suggestion is to point out at check in the small remote that controls the fan. The first night I didn't notice it, and thought it was only both fan and light on, or both off. The remote allows you to adjust, but I only discovered that the second night.

Quiet and quaint property just outside of downtown Mount Vernon (can walk to the square-a few blocks).. Courtyard is nice. Made to order breakfast was very nice. Check in was a breeze. Staff was very friendly. Can be a romantic getaway.

Courtyard provided a private landscaped area to enjoy the evening. I felt like i was hidden away in the garden, but reall close to everything. The breakfast was first rate restaurant style.

I loved the clean, cozy room with walk in shower. The room was furnished nicely and had the best mattress. The gardens were beautiful and there was always a fresh bouquet at each breakfast table. Breakfast was personally fixed each morning and served piping hot! The best thing about this B & B was the hospitality. Very nice owners who would talk to you each morning at breakfast. Loved this B & B and will return again!

Breakfast was wonderful in taste and service. The dining room was beautifully decorated for the season; makes me want to come back in other seasons to see what they will look like. Service was excellent! Parking perfect - off the road but right behind the rooms for convenience, well lit and clearly marked. I will definitely come back to this gem in the future!

Our second stay in 2 months! Rooms are older and small, but very quiet and comfy! Wonderful patio tables with ceiling fans on outside garden areas. Breakfast is the best with full service waitress and many selections in a beautiful formal dining room within the old Inn itself. Price reasonable and breakfast experience is included in reservation cost! Love this quaint Inn!

Charming motel! Check-in was quick and easy, and came with a free glass of wine. The room smelled a little musky but not bad. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great location; walkable to downtown Mt, Vernon. Will definitely consider staying again when we are back in Ohio.

Such a cute building & a gorgeous flower garden surrounding it. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! We stayed in a double room upstairs. It was really nice & spacious. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
