We had twelve of us (7 kids) in th 3 spacious rooms. Plenty of parking and restaurants 1-2 walkable blocks away. Quick drive to the pier for excursions. Stayed for two nights and owner had accommodated our early departure for a glacier boat tour by having breakfast ready and for easy/quick eating. One night utilized the grill for local grocery store bison burgers, reindeer sausage and fries/tater tots in the oven. Plenty of space for everyone to eat and have a drink / laugh / enjoy on our last night in Alaska. Highly recommend all around this property.

Northern Lights was wonderful! We would absolutely stay here again. Sarah was a tremendous host and cooked a great breakfast each morning :). The room was clean, had everything that we needed, and very comfortable. The location is excellent, easy to find and had parking directly in front of the bed and breakfast. It made our time in Seward very enjoyable!

Northern Nights is a great place to stay for its convenient location, clean and comfortable room, homey shared space (living room and kitchen), and responsive host. The included breakfast is made-to-order standard American breakfast (e.g. egg, bacon, sausage, potato, waffle, coffee, fruits... etc.). I especially like the home-made lemon cranberry bread. The property is within walkable distance to Resurrection Bay, restaurants, and coffee shops, and is just next to the beautiful Seward community library/museum. Sarah (the host) is friendly and communicated well in emails before our visit. We booked the glacier wildlife cruise tour (another thing I recommend to do in Seward!) through her with discounts. Very clean room and atmosphere. Very basic amenities and aged. Safe place. Mattress was uncomfortable, if you like it more hard/extra firm mattress this is the place. Common area was quaint.

Historic house, use of communal kitchen was encouraged. We stayed in Exit Glacier room—perfect as we hiked to the glacier. Gave good advise on where to eat.

The room was comfortable, the hostess making breakfast was fantastic, as was breakfast! Important thing to note is the fact that there aren’t any TVs in the rooms.

We had a lovely stay at Northern Nights. Our host, Sarah, was very warm and welcoming and really went the extra mile to help us with a small personal situation. The rooms for my family and me were clean and spacious. We even had access to an outdoor patio off of our room. It was a treat to have a homemade breakfast and to chat with the other guests. My favorites were the sourdough waffles, the banana bread with chocolate chips, and the array of colorful fresh fruits. We hope to return to Seward and would definitely try to stay here again. Also, the property is within walking distance to the restaurants and shops.

We love Northern Lights! The B&B is in a great location, where one can easily walk to restaurants and places to visit. The actual facility is wonderful - so clean, well set up, lovely common area, and beautiful room. Beds were comfortable and bathroom great. We haven’t had breakfast yet but we can’t wait!

This bed and breakfast was so sweet! The home-like feel and the amazing location. You’re so close to the boardwalk, where you can enjoy beautiful views of destruction, Bay and the mountains.Only a block or two away from the Alaska Sea life Center and shopping. The amazing homemade breakfast and strawberry rhubarb bread. Made by by one of the wonderful host. Who by the way has so much knowledge about Seward. The beds are very comfortable and have plenty of pillows. There is a fireplace and a sitting area that is so comfortable to just sit down and relax after a long day of hiking. I would highly recommend this property!

The facility was very well kept. Sarah and her staff keep the place nice and clean. The breakfast that Sarah prepares for you each morning is the highlight of the stay and would be the reason for us to come back.

Sarah is an incredible host, who prepares delicious breakfast, best coffee I've had in Alaska! The home baked fruit breads, taste so good! The room has three beds, perfect for us. The shared areas are clean and felt like home. Walking distance to the stunning bay views. Highly recommend for Seward staying

What a lovely place! After departing a cruise ship early in the morning, we were able to store our luggage there and see the town while waiting for our room to be ready. We stayed in the Bear Glacier room on the first floor, basically 2 adjoining bedrooms and a bathroom. Very comfortable! Only negative is that the walls and floor are not insulated to reduce noise. Could hear pretty clearly through the walls. The breakfast was delicious and made to order. Sarah even made gluten free scones for my daughter! Great location - walking distance to the aquarium and downtown. Seward is such a beautiful spot. I would definitely stay here again!

Loved staying at Northern Nights. Will stay here when we come back. Sarah was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was a fountain of information and was ready to help in any way. Had bear spray and more for the day hikers. Breakfasts were yummy and cooked to order.

The room was a little snug, but modern and clean. The staff was the highlight! Very informative, helpful and accommodating. The food was great and the location was walkable to the bay and many shops and restaurants. B&B’s are fun because you get to meet others and hear about their experiences as well. Would definitely recommend!

This is a wildly over priced glorified hostel with minimal decor, cheap amenities and a breakfast cook who couldn't be bothered to say good morning or be pleasant. The view out of my alley facing room was of electrical lines and huge transformer. The front yard was untended and the overflowing compost pile next to the front door was the icing on the cake. And for this I paid $250 a night. Amazing. I hate being ripped off.

This was a great stay! It’s usually hard to find a room with 3 beds; this was great for a family of 4 on a fishing adventure. Restaurants are in walking distance. The Sealife center was close by for entertainment. Breakfast was phenomenal! The kids now want to make sourdough waffles at home. Everyone was very nice. I’d like to stay again and do more site seeing.

I booked this property for excellent rate but I think it is overrated. You have only one room and other area is common, as a family with small kids you have to control them all the time, the thing wall won’t prevent any noise. I saw great review for breakfast, unfortunately there is nothing more than a hotel free conventional breakfast. It is better for couple but not great for a family

Sarah is the best host - friendly, knowledgeable, helpful & funny! You can’t get a better start to the day than her breakfast. Quiet spot on the edge of town but close to everything. If you’re in Seward - make Northern Nights your base!

Loved staying at Northern Nights. Will stay here when we come back. Sarah was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was a fountain of information and was ready to help in any way. Had bear spray and more for the day hikers. Breakfasts were yummy and cooked to order.

Nice stay, great cooked breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff. The only con which is prevalent in many B&Bs is lugging our suitcases up the stairway to the bedroom area,

A great find. We booked last minute due to previous motel not having a suitable room! This place is a gem and the host was wonderful. Very convenient for restaurants, shops, Sealife Center. Highly recommended.

Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable room. Such a nice place and owner made sure we had breakfast even when we left before breakfast times began. Highly recommend!

This is a wildly over priced glorified hostel with minimal decor, cheap amenities and a breakfast cook who couldn't be bothered to say good morning or be pleasant. The view out of my alley facing room was of electrical lines and huge transformer. The front yard was untended and the overflowing compost pile next to the front door was the icing on the cake. And for this I paid $250 a night. Amazing. I hate being ripped off.

Informally run B&B with minimal contact with owners/managers, which is fine with me. Breakfast was good and house was clean, though not fancy or memorable. I usually prefer more traditional small hotels, but this was a nice change, especially in a small town with seemingly insufficient number of hotel rooms. Location very near downtown and bay.

What a lovely place! After departing a cruise ship early in the morning, we were able to store our luggage there and see the town while waiting for our room to be ready. We stayed in the Bear Glacier room on the first floor, basically 2 adjoining bedrooms and a bathroom. Very comfortable! Only negative is that the walls and floor are not insulated to reduce noise. Could hear pretty clearly through the walls. The breakfast was delicious and made to order. Sarah even made gluten free scones for my daughter! Great location - walking distance to the aquarium and downtown. Seward is such a beautiful spot. I would definitely stay here again!

Northern Lights was wonderful! We would absolutely stay here again. Sarah was a tremendous host and cooked a great breakfast each morning :). The room was clean, had everything that we needed, and very comfortable. The location is excellent, easy to find and had parking directly in front of the bed and breakfast. It made our time in Seward very enjoyable!

We enjoyed our stay at Northern Lights B&B. The location was great for walking around Seward and so near the best dining options. The breakfasts were made to order and very yummy! Beds, rooms, all good! I would stay here again!

Northern Nights is in a great location, close to the scenic waterfront, right next door to the excellent Seward Library and History Center, and a short walk from a lot of great shops and restaurants in historic downtown Seward. Sarah, your hostess, has comprehensive information and recommendations about things to see and do. The B&B itself is bright, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are outstanding.

We love Northern Lights! The B&B is in a great location, where one can easily walk to restaurants and places to visit. The actual facility is wonderful - so clean, well set up, lovely common area, and beautiful room. Beds were comfortable and bathroom great. We haven’t had breakfast yet but we can’t wait!

Sarah is an incredible host, who prepares delicious breakfast, best coffee I've had in Alaska! The home baked fruit breads, taste so good! The room has three beds, perfect for us. The shared areas are clean and felt like home. Walking distance to the stunning bay views. Highly recommend for Seward staying

Breakfast was very good. Fresh choice of eggs, potatoes, very good coffee, banana bread, fruits. True B&B setting for breakfast with other customers. Great service. Early check-in (2 hours early) was possible. Sarah called us about a clothing item left behind after we checked out. Got a small discount from booking boat tour of Kenai fjords with Northern Nights. Room small for 3 people.

This is a bed and breakfast owned and run by Sarah who is delightful! She makes homemade breakfast bread ( banana chip, lemon raspberry, blueberry rhubarb, etc) for breakfast along with made to order eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage and home fries. Great conversation around the breakfast table with fellow travelers and we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay there. Very homey atmosphere.

Our stay at this beautiful B&B in Seward, Alaska, was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The room was so cute, cozy, and exceptionally clean. It truly felt like a special little home away from home. Our host was incredible! She was so warm, welcoming, and thoughtful, and she went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Every morning, she prepared the most unbelievable breakfast for us, including fresh eggs and delicious coffee. She even had homemade bread available throughout the day, which was such a wonderful touch. One evening, she lit the fireplace for us so we could come downstairs and enjoy dinner by the fire. It was such a cozy and memorable experience, and it really made us feel like family rather than guests. And the view of the mountains breathtaking! Being able to look out the window and see them amazing. Steps from Resurrection Bay was absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the beauty of Seward. Walking distance from stop 11 from the free stutter. My girlfriends and I truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The hospitality, the beautiful room, the delicious food, the thoughtful details, and the incredible views made this place so special. We would definitely, definitely come back anytime! This B&B will always have a special place in our memories from our Alaska adventure. ❤️🏔️✨

Cooked to order breakfast plus fruit and Sarah’s special bread, baked daily. Access to the kitchen in the day and evening. Enjoyed learning about Seward from Sarah and Sahra just a couple of blocks from main town area. Great to hang here for a few days.
