My wife and I stayed here briefly before taking off on a tour of Iceland. The apartment was comfortable and we were thrilled to see basic kitchen amenities as well as public laundry facilities. Communication was excellent and they made us aware of the check in process and that no one would be present but it was super easy. The apartment is located in a very central area and we were able to walk to many places conveniently.

My wife and I stayed here briefly before taking off on a tour of Iceland. The apartment was comfortable and we were thrilled to see basic kitchen amenities as well as public laundry facilities. Communication was excellent and they made us aware of the check in process and that no one would be present but it was super easy. The apartment is located in a very central area and we were able to walk to many places conveniently.

This is a nice centrally located property. Our room was comfortable. Unfortunately getting to our room was not! We were on the 4th floor with a steep narrow spiral staircase as our only access. We are two senior citizens and getting our luggage up and down was actually dangerous. Unless you are young and fit do not book here or request a ground floor room (then you will only have one flight of stairs up from the street level)

Proximity to everything downtown!!! Kitchenette is handy for snacks and drinks. Hot in the summer and no fans is my only complaint. Watch the parking garage hours… can’t access your vehicle outside of open hours so find street parking and pay the meter!!!

Loved staying at Alfred's studios - 15 minute walk to the 14 bus stop for the flybus and tours; and 2 blocks from all the shops and restaurants. My tall husband was very happy with the bed lengths, there was everything we needed to cook breakfast. One thing to note - no elevator and the stairs are steep, somewhat narrow and winding so try to get a lower floor room if you bring luggage.

The studio apt was exactly what I needed for my few nights stay. Layout, amenities, and comfort were all perfect. The parking was a little bit of a challenge, but considering the nice location it is understandable. Very much I would be happy to stay here again.

We liked the cleanliness and location of the property, however, we did Not know that there was no elevator and the stairs were very steep, small circular steps that made it very hard to take our heavy suitcases up one at a time to the top floor. It was not expected, but perhaps they said in the listing, we didn't see it, and at 70+ years old with a heart attack history, it was more than I'd like to have for a challenge.

Parfait, il y avait même un lave linge et sèche linge à disposition sans oublié la lessive pour notre dernier jour c'était très pratique, proche du centre et de la mer, literie et linge propre.

It was perfect. I misbooked the dates and they helped me book the extra initial night with no issues. The place is super clean, great location, and only functioning essentials with no half-baked bells and whistles.

This place is fine but not sure how it got the extremely high ratings, especially for the price. The space is small but clean. There weren’t any major issues but given the very high ratings on Expedia, I expected more. The bedsheet doesn’t really fit the sofa bed and the sofa bed mattresses were not in good shape. The shades were not dark or even close to anything that helps with sleep when there are 23 hours of daylight. The windows are super thin, so you can hear everything from people walking on the sidewalk below and across the street. It was quite noisy the night we stayed with obviously drunk people singing and having a good time. Harmless enough, but loud and disruptive when you are jet lagged and trying to sleep. Street parking was easy and convenient and the place is close to the main tourist areas. One major warning especially if you are a young family - the nearby parking garage that has cheapest parking about 2 blocks away - we stepped over several (probably 8-10) used hypodermic needles on a staircase between levels. I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood but that was a bit disturbing. They were nice to let us check in about an hour earlier than listed and were friendly and responsive to our messages and questions. Overall fine but certainly not the wonderful experience we expected.

Very happy with our stay here! The communication was excellent before we arrived. The studio was spotlessly clean and there were little touches that made it perfect such as a bag of ice in the freezer, washing up liquid, tea towels and shower gel. It was really quiet in the studio and the location was fantastic- right in the centre. Alfred’s studios is highly recommend and we will definitely stay again!

Great communication. I loved the room. I got, kitchen was wonderful. TV worked well, fairly quiet, I had the top floor, which was great! Easy to get in with the code, I really enjoyed this place.

Veramente in centro "ma non troppo", giusto equilibrio tra comodità e silenzio, con anche piccola vista sull'oceano. Siamo stati davvero bene, unica (piccolissima) pecca, la cucina un pò troppo essenziale: niente scolapasta -ma mi rendo conto che tre quarti di Europa non sa cosa sia, poche posate, e una piastra in vetroceramica un pò retrò. Tutto il resto perfetto, altamente consigliato!!

Great location .Walking distance to town center.Easy access to the highway. Room could use some additional venting. There is a shelter next door where residence sit out front. They were not any trouble during our stay.

It was clean and a good location. The only downside was the street outside had people hanging out most of the day and the people on the street were loud around 2AM.

Really enjoyed our stay at Alfred's Studios. A short walk to the bay, lots of dining options around, and with two teenagers it was great to have more than a hotel room. The communication with the staff was excellent.

This place is fine but not sure how it got the extremely high ratings, especially for the price. The space is small but clean. There weren’t any major issues but given the very high ratings on Expedia, I expected more. The bedsheet doesn’t really fit the sofa bed and the sofa bed mattresses were not in good shape. The shades were not dark or even close to anything that helps with sleep when there are 23 hours of daylight. The windows are super thin, so you can hear everything from people walking on the sidewalk below and across the street. It was quite noisy the night we stayed with obviously drunk people singing and having a good time. Harmless enough, but loud and disruptive when you are jet lagged and trying to sleep. Street parking was easy and convenient and the place is close to the main tourist areas. One major warning especially if you are a young family - the nearby parking garage that has cheapest parking about 2 blocks away - we stepped over several (probably 8-10) used hypodermic needles on a staircase between levels. I never felt unsafe in the neighborhood but that was a bit disturbing. They were nice to let us check in about an hour earlier than listed and were friendly and responsive to our messages and questions. Overall fine but certainly not the wonderful experience we expected.

A very nice property, perfect for a couple or a s.all family like mine. Centrally located near all the tourists sites, 1 minute walk to the main shoppi g street and plenty of options for eating. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommend.

apartment is in a nice area close to the main part of the city. The access to the busing system was very easy and convenient. We will definitely stay there again and finally the weather was also excellent.

Great location .Walking distance to town center.Easy access to the highway. Room could use some additional venting. There is a shelter next door where residence sit out front. They were not any trouble during our stay.

Alfred's Studios is easy to reach from bus stop Nr. 14 and just a short walk away from Laugavegur - the main shopping mile from Reykjavik. It was our 5th stay in Reykjavik and we enjoyed staying at Alfred's Studios a lot.

Nice hotel. Small but very convenient. It is very close to all the main attractions and it is safe except for the building that is next to (probably it’s a place for homeless people), but besides that, great hotel to stay!

Veramente in centro "ma non troppo", giusto equilibrio tra comodità e silenzio, con anche piccola vista sull'oceano. Siamo stati davvero bene, unica (piccolissima) pecca, la cucina un pò troppo essenziale: niente scolapasta -ma mi rendo conto che tre quarti di Europa non sa cosa sia, poche posate, e una piastra in vetroceramica un pò retrò. Tutto il resto perfetto, altamente consigliato!!

It was perfect. I misbooked the dates and they helped me book the extra initial night with no issues. The place is super clean, great location, and only functioning essentials with no half-baked bells and whistles.

Flot og fint indrettet lejlighed tæt på centrum og gågader, men også nem adgang til udfaldsveje fra byen. Fint med parkeringshus tæt på. Trappen til overetagen, hvor lejligheden ligger, er meget stejl. Eneste alvorlige minus er at indgangspartiet til naboejendommen er tilholdssted for tilsyneladende subsistensløse mennesker, hvilket ikke er tryghedsskabende.

Really enjoyed our stay at Alfred's Studios. A short walk to the bay, lots of dining options around, and with two teenagers it was great to have more than a hotel room. The communication with the staff was excellent.
