Great find for a couple of nights. Room was really clean with ample space for two of us. Bathroom really clean & towles were fantastic, Staff were fine - younger staff in bar/restauarant were much friendlier than those at check in & breakfast. Food- both dinner & breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice at both meals. Fish & chips were exceptional !!! All in all agreat stay at a good price.

Plenty of parking, on a bus route in to Edinburgh. Very reasonable for the facilities we had. A basic room but everything we needed for an overnight stay after watching a sports event. Staff were lovely, good atmosphere in the pub. We would stay again

The property was well kept, though an older building it was clean. It was handy to have the restaurant right there. It was close to the airport, and the staff was very friendly. Oh, and the bed was very comfortable. Even better than my own.

Chose for location to airport. Room and bathroom looked like it had not been updated since the 1970's. Mold on grout in bathroom. Bathroom door did not open fully or close. Noisy room with beer garden outside. Room finishes need to be updated. Tiny room. Only 18" between bed and wall on one side.

One night quick stay, welcome was great, friendly staff through check in and check out. Room itself was a bit dated but functional and good amenities (wardrobe, drawers, etc.) Bathroom only counts with a single soap and no shower gel or shampoo, something to keep in mind. Room was clean however the duvet cover had a small blood stain on one edge… not a great sight when I arrive late in and can’t ask for a change of sheets. All in all was a good place to stay the night for the price, I feel a bit extra attention to detail would go a long way. Rooms are adjacent and not soundproof at all so keep that in mine if you’re a light sleeper like me. However the area itself is very quiet after the pub closes so it’s up to the other guests :)

Very pleased with our overnight stay at the Riccarton Inn. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bath towels were the fluffiest we’ve ever had in a hotel. Didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food but judging by the number of people eating there, it must have been good. Plenty of parking and only 12 minutes drive to the airport. We would definitely stay here again

The pub part was excellent. We didn't try food as late back each evening. Our room was warm and beds comfy. The room itself could benefit with some modernising of furniture. And unfortunately a fair bit of dust on the headboards and lamp. The bathroom needs a complete refresh. Cracked and loose floor tiles. Back of the door and skirting in dirty condition. That said for Edinburgh area it was a great price

Would recommend, I was just passing through as a solo traveler needed a one night stay, and it was perfect for what I wanted a nice bed a very clean room and a very hot shower. The staff were great and could not do enough for me.

The Riccarton has good food but it’s not a great place to stay. The room was small and windows were right onto the outdoor seating & terrace. Since we were there on a Monday, there weren’t many people, but even so it was distracting. When I complained about the room being cold I was told nothing could be done. Imagine my shock when I raised the shade completely in the morning and discovered both windows at the top were open - and could not be closed. Finally, I asked for a taxi to be called for 6:30am and apparently the woman never did that because it never arrived. We had a flight to make and ended up calling an Uber.

Ideal for visiting Edinburgh, bus stop near riccarton inn nice evening meal on site good breakfast options within walking distance we were in room 4 which needs a bit of tlc mattresses very soft and sagging in the middle on both beds, there was a hole in the wall which was covered bottom drawer in chest of drawers fell apart

For the price and easy access to airport- can’t be beat. It is very dated and bathroom is not the greatest (clean but old and a bit mouldy). Bedroom was clean and more updated- relatively quiet but stayed on a Monday night- would likely be louder on a weekend or quiz night.

The riccarton inn is an old style coaching inn...it is cosy and full of character...the food is delicious. The rooms are clean but basic. They have en suite facilities...tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. The bed has cotton linen on it and they provide towels. It is ideally located on a main bus route into the city centre only 20-25 mins away. They don't provide breakfast but the room itself was only £58 for an overnight stay which is great value for Edinburgh. We had a comfortable night's sleep and would recommend this accomodation for any occasion.

Our stay here was comfortable. The room was clean, if dated some. Free parking was a plus and the dining was very good. Although attached to a pub, it was not noisy at all. Our only complaint with out stay here was that the bed was way too soft. Overall a very good experience.

We stayed over before an early morning flight out of Edinburgh. A nice little surprise of an Inn. We had dinner in the Pub, great Scottish food and the service all around was great. Rachel was a great host and made us feel very welcomed. The room was great and very comfortable.

The room and bathroom were large enough to move about. The towels and bedding were top notch! Hazel and her staff were wonderful! The bus stop in front of the building was a very convenient and economical way to go into the city center. We would return in a heartbeat!

Check in was easy and staff friendly. The room was clean. Even though it was a busy night at the pub with the quiz night you couldn’t hear it inside the room. One are for improvement is the check out method. The notice in the room says that if you plan to check out ‘very early’ please let a member of staff know to be told the key box code. In our minds this would around 6 or 7am and so we didn’t ask the staff. When we were ready to check out the next day at 9am there was no one there or anyone to contact and we therefore has to change our plans for the day to wait until after 10am when some staff arrived. Clearer communication on the check out method would have improved our stay.

Would recommend, I was just passing through as a solo traveler needed a one night stay, and it was perfect for what I wanted a nice bed a very clean room and a very hot shower. The staff were great and could not do enough for me.

Full disclosure, I did not stay in the room so my rating does not include it. Please note that they have limited check in hours -- which of course is wonderful for anyone with a flight arriving later on in the night. No one was available by call. And I was not given a refund. The outside of the hotel looks just a little sketchy but they have made the most of the parking lot space and added seating & lighting. I'm sure during regular hours its very lively, and gives a homely feel. It's also a pub! So if you're into having that available with a hotel, this might be for you! The hotel is not THAT close to the airport (many other closer options available), and was about a 40 euro taxi ride (from airport around 10:30pm) so if you're looking for something close by, this might not be the best option. It is accessible by bus if public transportation is a consideration.

Right off bus stop. 2£ each way. If you want to enjoy the experience of mass transit while saving some bucks on a nice hotel room this is the place. Could use some fresh paint, but you can't beat the value. Ate breakfast one morning. Talk about good food and EXCELLENT service!!! Had roast on Sunday more than enough to feed two as my wife didn't care for the soup. Very nice staff. Expecting 5 star hotel? Pay 5 star rates. Bed was extremely comfortable.

Excellent price for the proximity to the city centre, with the bus stop right outside the hotel. Very good cafe about 5 minutes walk away for breakfast and lunch . Room itself was perfectly nice as well

Not close to downtown Edinburgh, but a 30-40 min bus ride. Close to the airport. Nice stay and a great price. The restaurant was good too.

Friendly and kind staff. Convenient location in quiet area only 15 minutes drive to the airport. Good food right at the Inn as well, so made short stay easy and comfortable

Clean comfortable room, one of 5 attached to pub. Good parking and easy access to central Edinburgh via bus routes 44 and 45. Had a couple of great evening meals. No longer do breakfast but Corner Cafe is 5 mins walk along the main road.

Great little inn with a really fun and delicious local pub attached. Location is a little bit difficult to get Ubers and is about a 10-15 min drive from airport and 25-30 min drive from Edinburgh city center but the staff helped us arrange a taxi for the airport to guarantee pickup. It was a great budget hotel for us to stay in before our flight back home.

Room was comfortable, bed was too. Tea & coffee supplied. Free parking in car park & bus stop right outside for easy commute into city centre. Lovely beer garden with plenty of outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Tasty meal which was preparered quickly. Lovely walks nearby

We had a pleasant stay the staff were fantastic and location good for fhe airport and access ti the city by public transport. The accommodation is dated and needs some renovation shower constantly on super hot. Restaurant was good evening meal was fantastic but breakfast very greasy and not value for money. We would stay again if in Edinburgh again but avoid room 5 as nextvto beer garden and car park so noisy at most times. The evening barcteam were friendly and helpful and would recommend the chicken haggus and bacin pie and hazy local ipa beers.

Stayed the night before an early flight from Edinburgh, so handy as it was so near the airport. The single room was basic, but fine. The pub restaurant however was fantastic - great atmosphere, good choice of beers and wine, amazing food, and friendly service. They don't do breakfast, which wasn't a problem for me, but may be for some. Would definitely stay again.

The Inn has an antiquated toilet- the type where the water tank is up high then you pull a chain to flush. Light fixture in the bathroom is a chain pull as well. Although old everything worked as it should. The food at the Inn was especially good. Good value accommodation.

Stayed for the Tattoo - very reasonably priced when other hotels charge through the nose!! Pub/Restaurant excellent - lovely food - had evening meal and 2 breakfasts - all excellent so well done to the chef!! Rooms basic and in need of a wee makeover (esp bathroom in room 5) - otherwise, cant fault it at all. Also on main bus route - very good bus service - got into the city centre in 20 minutes. Would definately stay again - thanks to all

Room was old and dated. No shower condiments. Bed was uncomfortable. Inn and dining facilities ok but breakfast not served till 8am so you will miss this an early start

Excellent service, nous sommes arrivé beaucoup plus tôt que prévu, le personnel a soigneusement gardé nos bagages pour qu’ont puissent aller se promener en ville et les ont apporté dans notre chambre à quand elle a été prête. les gens étaient très sympathiques. Belle petite chambre cosy même avec ses installations plus vielles dans la salle de bain C’était parfait

Staff was excellent. We had lovely evening meal. Room was nice and clean, just small things. When looking up one of the lights needed a wee clean, one of the bed lights didn't work, tv control not working either and I was missing shower gel in the bathroom. On the other hand I loved the coffee machine in the room. Overall we stayed only one night and for our needs it was perfect. Very reasonable price and close to the airport (15/20minutes)

Little cumbersome with multiple suitcases getting to room, but room very satisfactory for the one night stay. Would not hesitate to return again. The put area was busy on the Sat night, but we met very friendly locals who pointed out excellent points of interest and local information.
