We had wonderful stay only negative about this property is they do not have a pool. I thought they did but i must have been looking at the gaylord location. Other than that the hotel is very nice the staff was amazing. we had the hotel pretty much to ourselves. The gym was great and had a decent selection of workout equipment. They had a good breakfast.

Tru here in Traverse City is brand new so we expected that upfront. But the thought going into local favorite foods available and the presentation of what to do in the area are new are interesting. The lobby is prepped with fun games and personal areas or groups. Finally a work out room with all the current equipment. Good use of colors throughout the hotel. Very appealing.

lacks amenities. NO pool, no in room coffee pots, no paper or pen. Prefer single serve shampoo, cond. and soap. TV remote lacks numbers for changing channels, so hard to locate the ones you want. Like clean towels every day. Breakfast was good.

Very friendly and helpful staff! The hotel was very clean, smelled great, and offered good amenities like the comfortable lounge/seating areas and patio area, foosball table, coffee station, and gym. The room was super cozy and traveler friendly. Only things I would say is there is no microwave in the room, you have to go down to the lobby, and the website mentioned a shuttle but they do not have a an airport shuttle. Public transportation in Traverse City is horrible so I had Lyft stand me up, Uber wouldn’t even accept, and the taxi service is like $25+ to go anywhere… almost missed my flight if it wasn’t for a nice couple who offered to take me to the airport. Which is a convenient 3.1 miles away.

Other than issues with the elevator I enjoyed my stay. It's hard to find hotels that accept 50 pound dogs without a huge fee - this one was $60 for up to 4 nights which seemed reasonable. I really enjoyed the room. It was spacious, modern and comfortable.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It had a nice breakfast in the morning and a pretty well equipped gym. Only complaint with our room is there was sometimes a knocking sound in the walls i think from the pipes. It woke me up in the middle of the night. Also, i teied using the app to check in like suggested but i still had to check in in person. And i nevwr was able to get the digital card to work from my phone. We only stayed one night so i didnt do much trouble shooting and stuck with the physical key.

This place is new and modern but don't expect a quiet stay. Guests are extreamly loud, maid service vacuums hard floors above your room at 8 in the morning, when they actually vacuum. My rooms floor had so much dirty/sand/random stuff all over it. Clearly not been swept or moped in days. I stayed three nights and all three nights parking was absolutely horrible because the hotel was booked solid. Obviously that's to be expected but i dont really want to park a million miles from the building. All three nights guests from above were loud stomping and banging around between 7 and 9am Saturday night at 11pm i arrived from my outing to find a full on party going on in the lobby yelling screaming and drinking. Not an issue had i rented at room at a hotel with bar hiwever thats not the case here. Its a hotel lobby. What ifi was coming in with a baby asleep in a carseat. I didn't pick party central. Front desk says nothing when walking by. No good morning, good afternoon.. nothing. I found a used washcloth hung over my shower door that was left from a previous guest. I didn't complain at time of check out as i was headed to work and i didn't want to be all stressed out starting my weekend however i did call corporate only to get a call back and to be told well you didn't complain at time of your stay so I don't know what to tell you. Super rude super unhelpful. I will never ever stay at this hotel ever again or any hilton owned hotel as I now see how they are. Over 400$ for a joke

Very close to food, shopping and downtown TC. Hotel is new and I was very pleased to see the rooms were not carpeted 🙌 Gives me a sense of cleanliness!

The hotel was cute. I waited a couple minutes for a staff member to come to the desk. I got my room key and off to my room i went. My first room had fecal streaks in the toilet. I called and ask for different room as i was unsure if the room was cleaned, they immediately changed my room. The second room was much better other than this odd sound i kept hearing which i could not figure out, it was another customer attempting to get in my room as she was given my room as well. I told her she had the wrong room, she went back to the desk. So a bit disorganized and housekeeping greatly slacked on my initial room. The staff member in front was apologetic.

Brand new hotel, comfy beds and pillows, super fun lobby area with foosball and board games. Breakfast was better than most standard faire, I appreciated the greek yogurt and granola. Snacks for purchase were available, but check the prices with the front desk so you're not surprised by them. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was that the wifi speed was very slow, and my phone on wifi could not even open maps for directions or search for local things to do/places to eat. I did a speed test several times with my cellular turned off and results were around 10mbps download. I expect better in a modern, brand new hotel. You could upgrade your speed for around $6 per day, so maybe that's why the free wifi was slow by design. I would stay here again though, for sure.

The heater/air conditioning unit did not fully turn off so there was a loud hum coming from the unit all night long. It was terrible. Other than that very large detractor all else was great.

We had a room on the back of the building that faced a stand of trees and not the construction site which was good. Our only complaint would be that the walls between rooms are paper thin and needed ear plugs in order to sleep. Could hear phone conversations next door and person walking in room above us. Suggest asking for the top floor.

Our 4-night stay was comfortable. Conveniently located for our exploring the full Grand Traverse area, including the Leelanau Peninsula. Be aware that Hilton’s Tru concept hotels have rather minimalist room decor. The bed was comfortable.

Room and building were clean and attractive. The air handler in the room was “horrible”. It could not be shut off and made loud noise all night. The desk staff told me they couldn’t be shut off and apologized. Still very noisy for a very new property.

Hotel met my needs for the most part. I made a very specific request when I made the reservation. I even called the property to make sure the request was clear and they could accommodate. I was told they could. When I arrived, the request was not honored. When I went down to the desk to request a change, I was told the hotel was full and I could not get what I requested. Very disappointing.

Great stay over, but hotel overcharged us. I booked two rooms and they charged us for 3. Asked for refund and was told 3-5 days. Did not receive credit on bill after 7 days and called again. I was told by front desk in Traverse City. ( Hanna or Anna ) she talked very fast it would be 4-10 days for refund. Dissatisfied with speed of their mistake and my credit of $166.47.

The only complaint that I would have is that the signage at the street was small and not lit. This caused me to miss the turn the first time which was a very minor inconvenience. If I did not have a reservaton however, I would not have known it to be there.

Our 4-night stay was comfortable. Conveniently located for our exploring the full Grand Traverse area, including the Leelanau Peninsula. Be aware that Hilton’s Tru concept hotels have rather minimalist room decor. The bed was comfortable.

Perfect location if you don’t want to stay downtown but want to be close. Easy in/out. Lots of dining close by.

Brand new property, friendly staff and convenient location. Hotel sits far off the road and there is not a sign at the road and the entrance from the road is dark. Can be a bit hard to find.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the issue. The hotel was very busy. They were running out of breakfast items 45 minutes before breakfast was done. The staff kept saying they would replenish items but did not and were actually laughing about it. For the amount of money spent for the room, this wasn’t acceptable.

We chose this for pet friendly. Breakfasts were OK - no muffins, pancake machine was very erratic. Biggest issue - horrible internet connection

It was just a quick stop while touring the state. The hotel was fine and served its purpose. Breakfast wasn't good, but everything else was fine.

Looks like it was just built. Decor is retro/modern. Breakfast bar with scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, toast, bagels, cereal fruit and juices. Coffee offered around the clock. Staff is friendly and courteous.

I like that they always had hot coffee available downstairs. I thought their breakfast bar was exceptional. All of the staff were so friendly. It was exceptionally clean.

My only real issue was locating the Hotel....It was dark and we could not see a sign anywhere. We had the address and GPS but still tough....got luck and decided to get off us 31 and check behind a car dealer when I spotted the building....But well worth the extra hunting. SO find the approximate address and look pass the first row of buildings.....sits back off the highway. Now once we got there the place was spotless, rooms spacious and in particular the bathroom and shower areas very clean ( my biggest demand...a clean bathroom) and well stocked....this past with flying colors. Seem to have a good level of technology that worked. The breakfast was very typical and well kept, well stocked and clean ie: no cheerios in the gravy...which was hot and tasty. The staff was friendly and very helpful as well as professional Overall super place for the $$$$ and would highly recommend to everyone.

This is a nice, clean, modern and basic motel. The lobby area is fun. We had a king room one bed and it was fine for two people. I would absolutely go back!

I wasn’t impressed with our stay. When we arrived to the room it was very clean but as soon as we sat on the bed it creaked so bad. You couldn’t even move around on it without a terrible creaking sound. For the price we paid I would expect a better bed. Not only did the bed creak terribly it was very uncomfortable I had a hard time sleeping. They need to invest in better beds and frames. I did go to the front desk and ask if we could switch rooms or have our bed be fixed. They said there was nothing they could do and that they couldn’t fix the box spring. I’m not sure why they would allow people to stay in that room when they knew the condition of the bed prior. They said they could switch us to a queen room the next day but we paid for a king and with 2 adults and a dog a queen bed wasn’t an option. Wasn’t impressed with how they handled the situation we weren’t reimbursed for any of the stay. I wouldn’t stay here again we made do the three days we stayed but for the price it’s not worth it. We never got to try the breakfast because it ends at 9:00 normally it would end at 10:00 considering people sleep in on vacation. My only highlights is they’re dog friendly and our room was clean other than that it was not a great place to stay. I wouldn’t recommend.
