We had a great stay at the Mountain View Cabin! The BBQ facilities, campfire setup, and shared kitchen were all exceptional, everything was clean and well organized. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the area itself is beautiful and peaceful. We already miss Willow, the lovely husky who made our stay even more special!

Fantastic little cabins with many fun touches all around the property. There is a communal kitchen located in a larger building that has a great assortment of cookware, plenty of large picnic tables and a handful of board/card games. There are two viewpoints, one with a bench and one with a nice hammock to enjoy the view from, and both are found at the end of very accessible trails. There is a small field with a few options like badminton, as well as some wooden workout equipment that makes for fun photos. You can borrow DVDs from the Office and there are lots to choose from, and there is also decent wifi. Overall, the cabins are great option for a family camping trip!

Stayed here for a night with my wife and young kids under 8. We all enjoyed the rustic look and feel. The kids loved the big fire pit for roasting marshmallows. The kitchen and communal dining area are wonderful. All the supplies one would need for preparing and eating food are here.

You’re in the mountains. Bring bug spray! Take advantage of the community fire pit and the view point for sun set. Check out gym! It’s a cool gym built with wood and was a nice touch.

Nice place in a pretty forest with clean cozy cabins and a great firepit behind the outdoor kitchen. Cooking is in the group kitchen using hotplates but there is also a couple of BBQs and a great firepit. Self check in is very convenient.

What a perfect place to spend a few nights. Just far enough out of Golden to feel like you are truly in the mountains. Amazing views and beautiful sunsets. The fire pit is a great place to meet fellow travellers. The communal kitchen and dining area is huge and welcoming. Full shower in the cabin was an added bonus. We will definitely be back!

Excellent! I had a great time staying there. Perfect for those who loves a rustic experience, something between camping and renting a house. The common kitchen was very complete with everything you need. The cabin comfortable and the shower perfect. I would recommend 100%!

The grounds were a wonderful place, very embedded In the forest the mattress was garbage. The sheets looked quite worn and pilled. There. Was dog pee underneath the table between the two beds. As a result of this experience, I did not stay for the second night.

A little run down, bed sheets soiled on one bed. Room needed a good cleaning, dust accumulation on trim work, room lighting dingy, exposed plumbing. Room left you feeling dirty. Bedding and pillows worn out, fabric on arm chair worn through.

Wow did we ever enjoy our stay at Mountain View. It was just out of season and we were visiting relatives renovating their house. We did not know what to expect but we do like to take the road less traveled. Check in was a breeze as we found the cabin very easy. Did a quick tour of some of your facilities. We have two small dogs so we travel with two extra large King size comforters to cover the beds. Thank you for the heads up about dogs on the bed. We were lacking for nothing. Rooms are clean, and the bathroom was also spotless and fast hot water. We wished we could have planned to stay longer but we are already talking about our next stay at your Cabins. You have a great vision with your establishment!

Check in was great as I received an email beforehand explaining the check in process. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was hot so those points made it a nice stay after tenting for a few nights prior. I would suggest however that there be more light in the room, and more mini kitchen amenities such as a coffee maker, a garbage can and more glasses and utensils for a family of four. A wash basin would be nice too rather then doing dishes in the bathroom sink. There were BBQs to cook on and a coffee maker in the shared outdoor kitchen, but the mosquitos were insane so it made outside cooking almost unbearable. It was nice to have access to DVDs, however the two that we chose to watch stopped halfway through because they were scratched so we didn't get to finish watching either movie. All in all, although it was a nice break from tenting, we would not stay here again.

I booked the place based on prior reviews. It offered basic shelter, exposed wires, plywood walls and an electric flyswatter for the mosquitos. It did have a refrigerator, coffee maker, and a microwave, yet the beds were a mattress on a wooden board with two by 4's nailed together for the frame. I liked the remoteness of it and felt like you were away from everything. Had a very laid back atmosphere. The lack of a/c was a challenge, due to the extreme heat the day we were there, but i knew that going in so i cant complain too much.

The little cabins are very clean and very comfortable. Just remember you're in a cabin in the woods, not a 5 star hotel. The beds were comfortable, it was quiet, and safe. The parking situation is not ideal but it's doable. It's about half a mile up a dirt road. The "wi-fi" wasn't strong enough to reach our cabin, but we just went up by the office if we needed to use it. My only "complaint" was the lady in the office. She appeared bothered when I asked about wi-fi and was not friendly at all. Overall it was a nice stay. Keep in mind these are rustic buildings, not log cabins.

This is a very cute property that I wish we had more time to enjoy! Arrived at 9pm and left by 10am. Cabin was well appointed with dishes, utensils, fridge, kettle, and microwave. Beds were a bit hard but we slept fine. No AC, but it was cool enough at night with the window open. Shampoo and body wash supplied. My only suggestion would be hair conditioner, and another garbage can in the room (only garbage can was in the bathroom). Also, it’s asked that you wash the dishes you use, but the only sink is the bathroom sink, and with 4 people in the room (2 being female tweens), bathroom time is hard to come by! Would be nice to have a wash basin for washing up the dishes. Location was great, just minutes off the highway.

As advertised, basic cabin in the woods. Amenities were certainly sufficient: toaster, mini fridge, kettle, microwave, dishes and cutlery. Good shower with lots of hot water. We were only there for one night’s rest on our way through but the beds were very soft and that combined with the heat made for a very poor sleep.

What can we say about the staff ! They were hard working and very very helpful. As we were about to leave there was a potential road problem to our next 'stay' and the staff phoned on our behalf to sort it out. Our cabin was perfect for our stay, so peaceful and quiet. This place is quite isolated but when you are there you can appreciate the views, the quietness and the staff.

We arrived at the cabins around 10 pm,no power ,no water ! So we couldn't take a shower, we went to bed in darkness hungry and...angry! We didn't have the services we paid for ! Next morning power was restored but nobody explained us what happened! We didn't hear any excuses! The surroundings are beautiful but the place was creepy because of the experience!
We arrived at the cabins around 10 pm,no power ,no water ! So we couldn't take a shower, we went to bed in darkness hungry and...angry! We didn't have the services we paid for ! Next morning power was restored but nobody explained us what happened! We didn't hear any excuses! The surroundings are beautiful but the place was creepy because of the experience!

Check in was great as I received an email beforehand explaining the check in process. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was hot so those points made it a nice stay after tenting for a few nights prior. I would suggest however that there be more light in the room, and more mini kitchen amenities such as a coffee maker, a garbage can and more glasses and utensils for a family of four. A wash basin would be nice too rather then doing dishes in the bathroom sink. There were BBQs to cook on and a coffee maker in the shared outdoor kitchen, but the mosquitos were insane so it made outside cooking almost unbearable. It was nice to have access to DVDs, however the two that we chose to watch stopped halfway through because they were scratched so we didn't get to finish watching either movie. All in all, although it was a nice break from tenting, we would not stay here again.

Check in and check out were super easy. The staff was friendly, and the cabin had everything we were looking for. The best in undoubtedly the viewpoint to the mountains and the quiet place souroneded by nature. We will definitely be back!

For a cabin in the forest, the experience was very nice to us. It’s 20 min away from Golden, but it’s an easy drive on the highway and a short easy drive on a gravel road.

I liked the remoteness of it and felt like you were away from everything. Had a very laid back atmosphere. The lack of a/c was a challenge, due to the extreme heat the day we were there, but i knew that going in so i cant complain too much.

Stayed at the mountain cabins and overall it was a decent experience. Just a heads-up: the GPS didn’t pinpoint the exact location—we ended up a couple hundred meters off, so finding it was a little tricky. The access road is more of a service road for climbers, which we didn’t realize beforehand. The cabin itself was decent and comfortable, but it would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time that the bugs are really bad at night—we would’ve come more prepared. Definitely recommend bringing movies or things to do in the evenings since it gets pretty quiet.

Property was in the quite wood area but bit remote from main road. None to very poor cell phone reception. Free Satelite wifi was available but very poor or none connectivity. Its 15-20 mins from Golden town. Cabins were clean and well managed. Have fan, heater, hot water in the bathroom.. Overall it was a good experience..

This is a nice, quiet, rural cabin. Great for a retreat since you will be away from noise and crowd. As mentioned in the description, bring food and water to the cabin because you will be far away from town. Cabins has running water and hot water and other basic modern convenience that you will need. The only downside is the turn on the highway. It is not very well marked. It’s also a sharp turn if you are coming from one direction. Given that it’s one-lane traffic on a busy highway and people speed a lot, it can get a bit nerve wracking approaching the turn. Definitely be very careful and give lots of warning to the cars behind you when you approach the turn.

We had a great stay at the Mountain View Cabin! The BBQ facilities, campfire setup, and shared kitchen were all exceptional, everything was clean and well organized. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the area itself is beautiful and peaceful. We already miss Willow, the lovely husky who made our stay even more special!

Stayed here for a night with my wife and young kids under 8. We all enjoyed the rustic look and feel. The kids loved the big fire pit for roasting marshmallows. The kitchen and communal dining area are wonderful. All the supplies one would need for preparing and eating food are here.

Nice place in a pretty forest with clean cozy cabins and a great firepit behind the outdoor kitchen. Cooking is in the group kitchen using hotplates but there is also a couple of BBQs and a great firepit. Self check in is very convenient.

Our cabin was perfectly fine for what we needed for our brief stay. There was a kettle to make coffee, and although there were a few dishes and glasses in the room, there were no mugs, so coffee wasn't possible. Our parking spot was close to our cabin and we appreciated that. No tissues in the room. Wifi was free and worked as well as we needed.

If you are looking for a camping-like experience, this place is very well set up. It has great amenities for cooking your own meals with a bqq and full use of kitchen utensils. The bedding I will say was quite cheap and in need of an upgrade as its quite weathered and worn. The cabin itself only had instant coffee as an option but there was a communal drip coffee machine in the kitchen area. Would reccomend adding an additional coffee machine in each cabin. Bottle water is provided as the water is not potable. Lots of hot water for showers. Overall good stay!

This place was fun for what it is. A great summer camp feel place with wonderful views, and the outdoor amenities were fun. That being said, check in was a nightmare. There was nobody at the desk, in an area with poor reception and worse wifi, you need to use a QR code to check in. The alternative was calling the number on the door and giving your cc # over the phone, super fun with low signal and groups all trying to check in at the same time. The beds are just foam "mattresses" hard to sleep on. The kids were excited for watching a movie once it got dark but the DVD player didnt work. Never saw a single staff member except one who I assume was a cleaner, and they ignored us. If you go, expect camping like feel and call to check in from town before venturing up.

The back corner of the cabin had no light so that if we were to use the fridge or microwave, it would have been challenging. The comforter on the bed had many stains which wasn't very inviting. By the car in the morning, there was a rice meal laying by the managers cabin along with all of the exposed recyclables. The bathroom was the highlight of the cabin - clean with its own hot water tank. As there was no need to check-in, we really had no interaction with the staff.
