Wonderful stay!! Upon arrival, we took a wrong turn, our porch was a little dirty, but it was beautiful on the inside. The kids had an amazing time and the private beach was cool.

We stayed for two nights that were absolutely amazing!! The trails for walking were great and well marked . The deck had a great view of the river and the fireflies at night were a added bonus !!

Cabin was beautiful! The view was so pretty! We felt like we were going into an enchanted forest with all the solar lights lighting the pathway. We loved the fire pit at night time:) only issue we really had was when taking a shower, the hot water would go in and out. But other than that, the place was perfect for our weekend getaway!

This was just as advertised. It is secluded yet close to the town. It has great facilities along with walking trails and a beautiful river flowing beside it. We only spent one night, but will definitely return.

Excellent does not describe the value, accommodations, and most importantly the communication with the staff. The cabin was unbelievable, view of the river just from the balcony. Clearly marked nature trails. I felt like I was in an upscale resort on Possum Kingdom Lake in north, Texas, which is saying a lot. Well thought out design and positioning my little ones loved the loft. Just top notch 100%. Short easy 15 minute drive from civilization, Walmart, etc. etc

What can I say? This was such a unique experience coming from someone who lives in a suburban area. It’s beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and so serene. Nothing better than waking up in the morning, sitting on your deck, amidst tree lines in absolute solitude. The property is amazing with its trails and beach to explore. I cannot express enough how relaxing this was. The only complaint, and I hate to complain about anything, would be the cleanliness inside the cabin. All of the windows need cleaning and the spider webs in the upper windows should be cleaned regularly. With that being said, it also gave it more of a rustic charm in a way. The kitchen cabinet handles, light switches, and door knobs (high traffic areas) could be cleaned a bit better as well. I did clean all of these areas upon arrival. The bed was really comfortable! It was hard to catch someone on the property for laundry purposes. Apparently they do have this available but it has to be when the housekeeper is on premise. I ended up going to a laundromat in Petal. This did take some time away from my vacation. I would highly recommend staying here. You will not regret it.

We accidentally discovered this place on Expedia when looking for a stopover on the way to New Orleans. A super find. Google maps led us right to it. Staff were very helpful with information. They sent ACCESS CODES to use on the KEYPADS before arriving. The place is a little remote, about ten minutes off the highway. It seemed of very good quality with things like marble tile on the bathroom floors, nice shaker cabinets, free wifi and TV, all very good quality furnishings and facilities. It would make a better weekend getaway and I wish we had more time, but it was also a great day to unwind and catch up on our road trip. I think it was a bargain and well worth the price. Definitely recommend.

It was clean but i did have to mop because our socks were getting dirty. A blanket in the loft had stains. But overall it was nice! We absolutely loved it! My kids loved having the chickens running around and a cat even came up. If you walk the trails WATCH FOR SNAKES! (Of course you are in the woods so there will be snakes)

The cabin was nice. But the bathroom shower was dirty . Dirty and stained towels that smelt awful. . The ac only went to 68 the cabin never got below 71 with 68% humidity. For what you pay the the check in and out is a bit extreme. 250 plus dollars for less than 24 hours. I feel like they could do better .

I am not one to leave reviews but I thought I would this time. My husband and I have came here 2 years in a row. We were always so pleased with everything. We just went March 2025 amd we were not pleased. The cabin has really gone down in cleanliness. The large arch windows in the bedroom were filthy. The had spider webs everywhere. The place needs painted bad. The worst thing was the road condition. We were in my husbands Denali truck and the potholes still beat us to death. Now I will say that they are working on the main road but not any work done on the whiskey river road. We dreaded leaving to go eat bc the bumps were HORRIBLE !

The gravel road into the cabins was horrible. Big potholes that need to be fixed ASAP. When we arrived the driveway into cabin 3 was so tight I had to back up a few times to get into the drive. When we got to the porch/patio area it was awful. The roof was covered in spiderwebs. The furniture was disgusting, it looked as if it had ash or mold on the cushions. The fireplace had roaches in it. The grill was not cleaned. When we stepped inside there were stains on the wall. The fan up the upstairs area wouldn't work. Even if it had, it was so covered in dust we would have regretted turning it on. The couch had an odd stain on it as well. I tried calling the owners twice. I left a message explaining and asking for a call back. It has been 3 days and I still have not heard from them. We left and got us a hotel in the city. Hotels.com can't even get the owners to respond to them. I will upload the few photos I took. Unfortunately I didn't take any inside.

The treehouse cabins were very unique and had the possibility of being great. The river views were wonderful and cabins spaced well apart.However they were extremely dirty from the front porch(deck)/ to the bedroom. Tables were sticky and dirty.sofa was stained. Bedroom was so dusty and dirty that I cleaned before trying to sleep in the room. Air conditioner was a split unit in bedroom and living room.on our last morning we woke up to a room temperature of 60 degrees. We couldn’t get either unit to heat. Called number for Whiskey at 7:30 to report problem. At nine still hadn’t heard from anyone, so sent email asking for some help. When we were still cold at ten, we left although we still had another night. Finally had a call from someone after twelve noon. Said he was sorry for our troubles but couldn’t give us any money back because we had booke through Expedia.i have pictures showing where there were wires hanging under the main part of the house. This place needs to be checked off your list if you are planning to stay there.

We had a great time! The scenery was beautiful and the cabin was clean and comfortable. My only "complaint", if you can call it that, is that the cabins could have been a little further apart and at a different angle. When someone is coming out next to yours they can see the patio area and potentially inside. Not a dealbreaker as we will definitely go back again.

Property in a pretty, wooded area. Peaceful. The stove could have used a better wipe down and there was dust and cobwebs all over the fan. The inside door handle is broken and the shower caddy fell off in the middle of the night and woke us up. There was a blinking colored porch light on that I couldn't figure out how to turn off and made it hard for me to fall asleep.

Please don't fall for this scam. We got an over-water cabin. This was certainly not Over Water! It also didn't look like the pictures, at all. Dishes were all dirty with food still on them. Sheets and towels were all stained and dirty. They provide a phone number that you can call if you have question, but no one answers that number. Cabins were also very close to each other. You won't have any privacy. Kids knocked at our door in the morning, waking us up! We were very excited about this place, and were hoping we could come back. Specially comparing this place to other cabins, like getaway. We certainly wont after seeing the peoperty. The getaway was certainly a head and shoulder above this place. They're small, but at least you have privacy and the cabins are clean. It was a terrible experience.

Great nice, quiet Cabin in the woods. If you want to be away from everything, this is your place. There are about 9 cabins total, but it is quiet and comfortable. Gravel road in could use some work, but once you get there it is very peaceful. All solar powered electric. Free range chickens roaming the area, sometimes on your deck. Great for a couple or small family.

We stayed here on a cross country road trip and we’re so glad we chose this place! It wasn’t as convenient as those road side hotels and motels but we were traveling with two young kids and they really loved being able to walk around the trails to stretch their legs. There’s absolutely gorgeous views and the interiors of the cabins are modern and well maintained. I equate our stay with “glamping” - it felt like camping but with modern amenities. FYI we tried entering from the south and there was a road closure that prevented access from that direction. We rerouted and came from the north and had no issues that way. There is a gravel road but it’s pretty smooth (and to be expected - this place is pretty remote!).

They say WiFi is included. But it would not even work the tvs. It kept dropping and buffering. I was unable to do any work on my laptop at all. Will definitely not be back for work.
They say WiFi is included. But it would not even work the tvs. It kept dropping and buffering. I was unable to do any work on my laptop at all. Will definitely not be back for work.

Cute cabin tucked away in the woods. There are other cabins next door, so it’s not as secluded as the pictures make it seem, but there’s plenty of privacy. It’s basically like a tiny home and a treehouse had a baby, it’s small but functional. We had out two teenage daughters with us that stayed in the top loft and every time they were up and moving the whole cabin

Great little getaway spot! Cabin was as pictured. Beds & pillows are comfortable. Didn’t like the fact that the loft area looks over/down into the master bedroom. (Wasn’t a huge concern for us because we didn’t have anyone else with us, but wanted to let other people know). The only “complaints” I have are check out is way earlier than most; 10:00am is a bit unusual & inconvenient… the dirt road leading to the property is extremely rough; tons of potholes. Overall, our stay was near perfect!

The heat went out both nights and it was close to 40° in the cabin. When telling staff they said they knew and hadn’t got anyone to fix it. Tv didn’t work and called they said they would fix it and never did.

Very rustic, solar powered. Had no hot water the 1st and last night of our stay (2 out of 3 nights) it was due to a known issue with the hot water heater in our cabin. No one on call at night, to come, “ turn it off, then back on again”, so we could not take warm showers. The end result was a credit to us for $25 each night. We will not stay again, this review is to inform you that there is no support staff on site or on call after hours.

We came from Iowa to spend time with our grandkids. We stayed 5 nights and stayed in one cabin with two of our granddaughters and rented another one for our daughter and other two grandchildren. Dave and Nikki were very pleasant and accommodating. They directed us on fun activities on the property and off as well. Everything was clean and we were provided with absolutely everything we needed promptly. AND when I say promptly I mean immediately! It was so cool seeing the wildlife and my granddaughters absolutely loved getting into the river. I couldn't believe there was a laundry facility that didn't cost anything to use. I was surprised to find there was eco friendly laundry detergent available without charge as well. My daughter who lives 20 minutes away said they would love to go back just for a weekend away. If you want to have fun definitely take advantage of the trails. I really didn't expect to have as much fun as we did. It was quality time with our grandkids that I will never forget. Thanks to Dave and Nikki for giving us a lasting family memory!

This place is horrible!! I think it is fictitious. My code to the door wouldn’t work. I tried to reach the property manager several times. After no response, I left the property. I have asked my credit card company to investigate the property. Hopefully I will get a credit for the charges.

The gravel road into the cabins was horrible. Big potholes that need to be fixed ASAP. When we arrived the driveway into cabin 3 was so tight I had to back up a few times to get into the drive. When we got to the porch/patio area it was awful. The roof was covered in spiderwebs. The furniture was disgusting, it looked as if it had ash or mold on the cushions. The fireplace had roaches in it. The grill was not cleaned. When we stepped inside there were stains on the wall. The fan up the upstairs area wouldn't work. Even if it had, it was so covered in dust we would have regretted turning it on. The couch had an odd stain on it as well. I tried calling the owners twice. I left a message explaining and asking for a call back. It has been 3 days and I still have not heard from them. We left and got us a hotel in the city. Hotels.com can't even get the owners to respond to them. I will upload the few photos I took. Unfortunately I didn't take any inside.

We accidentally discovered this place on Expedia when looking for a stopover on the way to New Orleans. A super find. Google maps led us right to it. Staff were very helpful with information. They sent ACCESS CODES to use on the KEYPADS before arriving. The place is a little remote, about ten minutes off the highway. It seemed of very good quality with things like marble tile on the bathroom floors, nice shaker cabinets, free wifi and TV, all very good quality furnishings and facilities. It would make a better weekend getaway and I wish we had more time, but it was also a great day to unwind and catch up on our road trip. I think it was a bargain and well worth the price. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful place for a restful time away! Although it's a bit off the beaten path it's well worth the little trip. The unit I initially was assigned to didn't have hot water but after a couple of calls I was moved to another unit. Definitely would recommend this place to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a peaceful stay with all the amenities.

I am not one to leave reviews but I thought I would this time. My husband and I have came here 2 years in a row. We were always so pleased with everything. We just went March 2025 amd we were not pleased. The cabin has really gone down in cleanliness. The large arch windows in the bedroom were filthy. The had spider webs everywhere. The place needs painted bad. The worst thing was the road condition. We were in my husbands Denali truck and the potholes still beat us to death. Now I will say that they are working on the main road but not any work done on the whiskey river road. We dreaded leaving to go eat bc the bumps were HORRIBLE !

We can’t wait to return, we loved our stay! Very peaceful and clean. The staff that take care of the grounds are super nice too! My son loved the chicken and duck coop. Closest store is about 15 min away into town.

Excellent does not describe the value, accommodations, and most importantly the communication with the staff. The cabin was unbelievable, view of the river just from the balcony. Clearly marked nature trails. I felt like I was in an upscale resort on Possum Kingdom Lake in north, Texas, which is saying a lot. Well thought out design and positioning my little ones loved the loft. Just top notch 100%. Short easy 15 minute drive from civilization, Walmart, etc. etc

We stayed here on a cross country road trip and we’re so glad we chose this place! It wasn’t as convenient as those road side hotels and motels but we were traveling with two young kids and they really loved being able to walk around the trails to stretch their legs. There’s absolutely gorgeous views and the interiors of the cabins are modern and well maintained. I equate our stay with “glamping” - it felt like camping but with modern amenities. FYI we tried entering from the south and there was a road closure that prevented access from that direction. We rerouted and came from the north and had no issues that way. There is a gravel road but it’s pretty smooth (and to be expected - this place is pretty remote!).

It was a nice stay. Way out kinda out in the woods which was cool. Clean sheets and clean everything except the floors. They could have used sweeping bad. Other than that we loved it.

Stay here quite often and yet again left disappointed. Its always a hit or miss on the cabins. Woke up at 3 am to a roach on my pillow and running through the bathroom. And no not water bugs.moved the table in the seating area and it hasn't been swept at all. The ac wasnt working at all so it stayed running on whatever setting they had put in on. The water had gotten terrible. Standing in the showered being in only one to 2 minutes and the water randomly will turn freezing cold. Have had issues with no hot water before in other cabins.im spending way too much money to have mediocre cleanliness and utilities that never work. There are other cabins down the road ill have to try out because these reviews are clearly getting looked over.
