The Landmark Hotel

I only booked this hotel for the pool and the pool was closed. I booked a double room and it only had 2 bath towels- I guess the kids are supposed to share their parent’s towels? The exterior of the hotel is coated in spiders/webs, and the interior walls of the rooms are concrete/cinder block like a basement. I feel sorry for the people who live in this town, it’s a sad little place.

Cool hotel, love the restaurant, parking is limited due to construction and there aren't signs to direct so it is rather confusing. Check in was very easy.

The pool is small but fine, the restaurant is good, the parking abundant, the staff were very pleasant, bed comfortable and clean.

Comfortable beds, clean room, but the stairwells were crumbling & in desperate need of repairs, plus they don't have complimentary breakfast & not much parking area

The hotel was nice, but the carpet is quite worn and they are working on remodeling it. It would be nice if it served a breakfast. Location was good.

I’ve stayed here more than once, it’s always our favorite place to stay at during the summer. The kids enjoyed the outdoor pool. The fourth floor had a Mexican restaurant and bar which was very convenient for eating. As well as you are very close to a Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and gas station. Which is all you really need. It’s a small rural area which I’ve visited hundreds of times throughout my childhood and The Lankmark is always an excellent place to stay.

Property did not look like the photos. The rooms really need to be updated. There was trash still on the floors like bottle tops, wrappers and in the trash can and when we checked in. Although it had been “cleaned” you could tell that it had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time.

When we first got there they had a line in the lobby do to them being on break. Spiderwebs in entire to elevator. Food and crumbs under beds a long with a spit bottle under the bed, along with other wrappers.

Very outdated and not very clean. Carpet stained. Smelled like old smoke.

Pictures shown were old! Drapes were dingy and gross, windows were disgusting, hairs everywhere and verrrrry dusty. They need to close until they renovate, stairs are falling apart and you can reach out and touch power lines on the balcony!

Bed was comfortable, butnroom odor and bathroom cleanliness was a challenge: Sticky bathroom floor and musty smells.

There was black mold growing on the ceiling above the bed - I had to utilize my inhaler as it impacted my asthma

Place and rooms are always clean. We've stayed here many times and try to stay there each time we're in the area.

The girl that checked me in was super nice. Building is old but clean. Beds were comfy.

We stayed for a quick visit with family. Very clean, easy check in and super comfy bed. Stayed on the top floor with a balcony.

Nice hotel. Very well cared for. Very spacious. Not well insulated. Can hear traffic, people outside your door, flushing toilets. Overall, we would still go back.

It was nice, kind of loud. Heard car noises, people talking and water. Other than noise, can’t complain.

The room was very spacious and clean, however the bathroom was super small and awkward. It only had the toilet and shower in there, and you had to step to the side of the toilet to close the door. The door would hit your legs once seated it was so small. The shower was also very small. The vanity area which was outside of the bathroom was again, very small. However, everything was very clean and the bed was super comfortable! The price was quite reasonable and the check in staff were very friendly and helpful!

The hotel is under renovation and we completely understood that aspect. Unfortunately, the loudness of this hotel had nothing to do with renovation. There is a restaurant open to the public on the 4th floor. Diners came and went throughout the evening. Often times those diners were very loud walking up the stairs, waiting for elevator, and departing. Most parked right below the windows which over half of the hotel faces that parking lot. Then between 9PM - 1AM the disturbance from the restaurant employees going in and out, blasting music, etc was ridiculous. It was after 1AM before things calmed down enough to sleep uninterupted. Then upon waking at 6AM for our plans, we woke to no water in the hotel room. We called the front desk and was told a security guard would check the restaurant. That led us to believe this has happened before. We were supposed to get a return call to update, but no call came. 20 minutes later, we called the front desk again. A different person answered and told us a water line had broken and someone would be there to fix it as soon as possible. Luckily we left the shower faucet open so we heard the water running about 5 minutes later. So yes, we were able to quickly shower before we had to depart. However, there is no way a water line was fixed in less than 30 minutes. Obviously it was something to do with the restaurant, but we were lied to so it would not be the hotel's fault. Smallest bathroom in history!

Room was nice but bathroom very small and a terrible draft from the door. Hot water was lukewarm.

The manager at the front desk was wonderful! I had been awake for over 24 hours working & driving to see my boyfriend in the hospital & she gave me an early check-in time! She also told me about calling the hospital to get the friends and family discount that Landmark offers to PMC hospital patients' families, which was a HUGE blessing to me financially! I truly appreciated the effort that this hotel put in to make my stay there the best they could! I would highly recommend this property as my room was clean & quiet & I couldn't begin to beat the rate they give to PMC patient's families/friends anywhere else in Pikeville!

It would have been helpful if guests were informed ahead of time that there would be no one available at this location to check them in during certain hours. I ended up waiting more than 30 minutes for an employee to return from their break. I even tried calling the property, but after waiting 20 minutes on the phone, no one answered. I have previously stayed at this property without any issues, so this was disappointing. If I owned this property, I would train a member of housekeeping or another staff member to assist guests at the front desk whenever the main receptionist is on break. This would speed up customer service and help ensure that no one leaves frustrated. While I was waiting, several guests approached me with questions about the Wi-Fi code and other concerns. Fortunately, I still had the code from my previous stay and was able to help them, even though I am not an employee.

The room was wonderful. The beds are super comfy. The only issue I had was when the housekeeper cleaned my room she failed to replance the towels. She took the dirty ones but never replaced them. I had to go to front office to get more. The problem was... there was no one in the office for about 35 mins. I called the office number and rang the bell many times. Finally walked out side and rang the doorbell at the door next to the office. I essentially spent more time waiting in the office for towels than i did swimming 😒 I was not the only one waiting to be helped.

Basically right in the heart of town. Convenient. We enjoyed the quietness inside the room. Clean and comfortable.

Excellent rooms, friendly staff, easy access to motel and close to many good locations for meals.

Came down to Pikeville to see Jeff Dunham's Comedy Show and had a blast. Motel is located just a few blocks from the venue, so it was very convenient. The bed was very comfortable too. Staff was very nice.

The stay was very comfortable. The customer service was great, with everyone I spoke with. They are very accommodating as well. I asked for an hour earlier check-in, as well as adding a night to my stay and they were very nice about it. The room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. Perfect location. Only negative is there is a lot of road noise. But I would definitely book here again. The price is great.

Its an older hotel, but they are doing renovations, so the construction on property makes it hard to park. But all in all we liked staying there. Not much on the mexican restaurant. Food was bland. Room was clean and they kept us in towels and wash clothes.

great staff, friendly and helpful. rooms were clean and so was the location. great benefit for the restaurant located on the 4th floor. so convenient and tasty
