Wiarton Willys Inn

It was a good place to be able to have my dog with me while travelling. The room was air conditioned so it was a nice reliefon a hot day, and there is a very large yard which was good for walking my dog around.

Well kept grounds. BBQ’s available, fire pits available.

Outdoor pool was nice

Beautiful property, pool was wonderful! Room was clean and spacious. 3min to the heart of Wiarton.

Everything we needed was there. Staff were very friendly and approachable. The yard was perfect for play, chill and picnic. The best part for me was the bonfire. It’s extra pay but worth it. The pool was good but it was not the best when we got there. Few minutes away from Sauble beach, Aerial Park and Spirit Rock. It’s a good place to stay if you are planning to visit Tobermory and the rest of Bruce Peninsula.

Mixed bag! Pros: firepits and open grassy area were nice. Landscape was pretty, motel was quiet, staff were friendly. A/C was good, beds were decent, nice to have a pool. Cons: pool was exceptionally dirty. Not only algae overgrowth but literally pieces of garbage floating around in it. Outside grounds also had a fair bit of garbage. Room had a broken smoke alarm hanging from the ceiling. Bathroom was kinda grungy.

Accessible, open. Mulitple braai units so families can enjoy the evening braai some meat or just an open fire.

Check in was easy. Room was clean but a bit worn. Good size grassy area for kids and dogs. Beds are comfy. Overall a good experience.

Very nice outside amenities, BBQ, Fire pit, swimming pool, but, sub-standard housekeeping, lack of Hair dryer and noisy Air conditioning.

The pool was not ready for swimming.

Towels were all stained. Shower curtain. Was filthy, sink was loose, bathtub facet was falling off Furniture was very old and stained.

Did not like property due to dirty room, consisting of dirty stained chair , dirty floors, dirty tub, tub surround was held with dirty rusty nails mold all over caulking around tub, water on floor, noisy air conditioner also had unpleasant odour. Room looked nothing like picture's online. Was so disgusting we left and went to another place to stay, without getting any kind of refund from that inn. Will never return there.

Could have been cleaner. The white comforters on the beds had stains, the towels had stains, the tv was covered in handprints, the light switches were dirty, lots of dirt on the baseboards and walls. Beds were comfortable enough but glad we didn’t spend a lot of time in the rooms because they could have been much cleaner. The outlet in the lamp was broken, the door automatically locked so we had to make sure we didn’t lock ourselves out by mistake.

there is alot of dead insect in the window, the towel in the washroom alot of stain dirt, the standing shower floor and the shower is dirty.

The price was waaaaay more than many 4 star hotels I've stayed at. The room was very dirty. The beds both had visible stains. We all slept fully clothed. The pull out couch was very dirty. Again, had to sleep fully clothed and had to use a blanket I keep in the car. Pop cans and garbage were jammed behind the couch. For the price I expected much better.

The property had some obvious upgrades but overall the room was very dirty. The sheets and towels were stained. The shower was full of hair. The couches were crusted with black. But it was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

The exterior of the property was very nice. However upon entering the room it was very disappointing. There was no coffee maker/kettle, towels were old and had stains and holes, no phone to contact front desk, the bathroom mirror had splash marks and the main mirror hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. The brown sofas were extremely dirty and the whole experience left us feeling very uncomfortable. If we had t checked in so late we would’ve made an effort to find another location. There was us and one other room staying here and they turned out all the exterior lights about 15 min after we arrive so later when we had to retrieve something from the car it was pitch black outside. I do not recommend staying here.

Lots of hair in washroom, and people had loud music till 1:30 in the night

Windows were broken and dirty. Towels were stained bedding was dirty.

Clean room, bed very comfy including great pillows! Air conditioned. Front staff friendly.

The location is right of the road and in Wiarton. The rooms are small, cramped and in need of repair in the washroom. It is over priced for what you get.

Room was run down. Needs renovation.

Only downside the TV was way to small.

Nice grounds, pool, and available BBQ. Room was clean and updated. Cell reception in the area is poor, which has nothing to do with the motel, but the Wi-Fi is slow too. There's no smart TV's, and cable tv only has 17 channels. All first world problems, but it would be nice to have good internet when you're a tourist and need to search for things to do in the local areas

The room looked like it was still under construction. Doors still had worker's handprints, paint, drywall plaster, tape, etc., on them. Some receptacles did not have cover plates and were painted. The trim was either missing or poor fitting. The bathroom shower stall had plaster and paint on it. The shower, sink pedestal and toiler were sized for children (the sink had blocks of wood under it to raise it to the height for adults. The TV cable ran along the middle of the wall and was held up with cable clips. An extension cord was plugged into a receptacle close to the ceiling (probably meant for a ceiling air conditioning unit which was actually sitting of the floor) and hung down to run the microwave and fridge. One towel looked like it was used to clean up after the workers and others were so well used you could see through them.

No heat on a very chilly night.

I would stay there again, but it wasn’t super-awesome, it was ok and met our needs. It’s obvious they are trying to improve the property but feels like they are in the middle of that. Nice new tile-work but grout left everywhere. Great shower head with multiple settings but anyone over 5’ 6” would have to crouch to get their head wet. Tub very slippery and no shower mat option to help with that. No place to hang towels, no garbage other than small one in bathroom. Beds spotless and comfortable. The other furniture (couch and chair) dirty and stained. The property was quiet even through all rooms around us seemed to be in use. Wifi was not the best. We really liked the type of blinds they chose for the windows that allowed light but still gave privacy. The toiletries were sub-par. If you care about this at all bring your own. The office was closed when we got there and a sign on the door with a number to call which was fine, but then no info about wifi in the room so had to call again. Next day they were there and came quickly after I went to the office to request more towels. So overall yeah it was good but there is lots of room for improvement.

The lobby was a bit strange as there was a partition blocking most of it and it appeared that people were living on the other side. The motel itself was okay, if not a bit run down looking, but it was generally pretty clean and the staff was friendly/helpful. However, the air conditioner was LOUD and seemed to just be pumping out mostly warm air. My family and I were pretty uncomfortable and didn't sleep well tbh. Overall, not the best experience ever but we did get to see Wiarton Willy's home down by the lake and go for a quick swim before the storm rolled through town.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I never actually saw any of the staff as my key was in the door and I left it in the dropbox. My only complaint was the heater was very loud. It was too loud to sleep with on, so I had to leave the heat blasting all day to warm up the room. Then I turned the heater off at night. Unfortunately, both nights I woke up due to being so cold.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Recent renovations, but not completed with care. Good basic accommodations.

We changed our reservation from 3 nights to 2 nights when seeing the price went up another hundred dollars for Sat eve of the long weekend. After we were checked in, we went out for dinner and received a phone call from the owners, asking us when we were going to check in. I told him we already checked in, they asked me what room I was in…?! Lots of cracks in the tiles in uneven floor and musty smell. Bathroom mirror hung directly above the sink at stomach height, where you couldn’t even see your reflection and weak water pressure. The tiny TV hung in the corner of the ceiling (why the ceiling?!) did not work, staff had to fix although the reception/quality of picture was horrible on the outdated device. We forgot my daughter’s down duvet there, when I contacted them, they acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about. I had to push and they said oh well we do actually have real duvets, but we only use them in the winter so that’s why we didn’t notice. 👀 This isn’t the worst of all of it though, I wasn’t going to leave a review until receiving my credit card bill and noticed that I was charged twice. 💸👀 I called and also emailed the proof with screenshots of the charges and was told I’d be reimbursed. I called to confirm And was told the owners would do it after 11 even though I was speaking to the owner on the phone. The husband grabbed the phone from his wife, and spoke down to me and then hung up. I will issue a dispute if I do not receive repayment by noon

Check in was no problem, super friendly staff. Room was very run down. Smoke detector and light fixture where hanging off the wall with just wiring. All towels had stains on them. Pool was decent but can’t use past dark as there were no lights. TV had maybe 8 channels to choose from and not the option to connect Netflix or anything. Had to ask for bedding for the pull out couches, and no extra pillows were offered. For $250 a night, was not worth it. If I had known, I would have driven the extra 30 mins out of town to stay somewhere else for the same price.

The owner was somewhat disappointing. The add says 24 hour concierge. I called early in the day to imform the property that we would be coming in late, as my husband would be getting off work later than expected. Also it is a 3 1/2 hour drive from where he works. So when I was about 45 minutes away I called back to let them know we are soon to reach. Asked for a small discount as we would be leaving by 6. He says he has been waiting forever for us to arrive. So we were only going to be there only 4 hours didn't make much sense to pay full price. Once inside the room and check it over the room tidy but dirty.

Over price and very unclean. Also, the WIFI get cut off at midnight they change the access code. We were unable to get our directions to our next location. When we asked about a discount the front desk lady was very rude an unpleasant.

I had to stay for business. The lot was only plowed once all winter it looked like. Huge snow mound going to the office. A note on the office door said call this # if you are checking in. There was no one there. Someone answered and said key is in the door for room 9. lol. Do you need the wifi. I said yes. She said I will text it to this #. Never received the password and never heard or seen anyone there again. Room was freezing. Left the key in the room and left.

Parking is easy at this no frills motel. The staff was friendly enough and arrived quickly with requested extra towels, but even though we asked them not to come in for cleaning during our stay they did enter our room but maybe realized their mistake as only the garbage was emptied and no other cleaning done. The location is great and very quiet. I’d definitely stay here again even though there are some issues. Renovations are obviously not being tackled by professionals as there is grout left all over the unevenly laid tiles. The bathroom sink water was actually smelly ( but the shower was not), and the upholstered furniture was filthy but we brought picnic blankets for this exact reason. We’ve stayed here before and everything felt clean, beds spotless etc except for the armchair and couch

The first room we were offered when we checked in was not even ready. The beds were unmade, there was pee all over the toilet, towels everywhere, and there were tons of bugs. We were then offered a second room since that one was clearly not ready and disgusting. The second room we got was equally as disgusting . The couch had a huge dead roach on it and lots of crumbs. We explained that we were not happy with this room and they said there vaccume it. We return after the “vaccume” and we still find many bugs all over the room and even in the microwave! We asked for a refund and the owner refused to give us one or even just some of our money back for this terrible experience. The owner was extremely rude and unprofessional and the rooms where disgusting and pretty sure the bugs we found were BED BUGS.

Had a recently renovated room. Very clean and beds were the most comfortable that we have slept in for a very long time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick.

Remodeling being done but other than that it’s a quiet place to stay. Just a short distance from town and many things to do in the area. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was clean upon arrival and the location of the motel works great if you’re going to Sauble Beach or Speedway as it’s a quick 10-15min drive!

Great if you’re just looking for a place to crash. Close to town. Good parking.

Was close to the Corran historal ruins. Close to walking trails. There was nothing we didn't like. Planning to go there every year.

Like: Close to Sauble Beach - 20 minutes drive Dislike: Cleanliness.

CLEAN BUT PRETTY BASIC. NO COFFEE OR ANYTHING IN ROOM.

Very basic motel for $400 per night on a long weekend. No coffee in a room. No complimentary breakfast. Good to travel with the dog. Nice large field at the back to take your dog out.

Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Rooms were clean and neat, with decent beds and newer fixtures in the bathroom. It would be nice to have had somewhere to hang clothes, and a coffee pot, etc. in the room would have been nice.

All was clean, bathroom floor cud have been better but overall, a really great motel, no issues at all and great close stay for Sauble Beach lovers! The diner across street was great as well.

The check-in process was easy, the staff very friendly. The room was basic but okay, with comfortable beds, and a sofa and armchair and round table. The heater worked, but was tricky to adjust...it was either too warm or not warm enough. There was a microwave and bar fridge, but you have to bring your own cups, coffee, tea, spoons, etc.

The property is good. The door doesn’t lock from the outside only when ur inside.: there are no options of restaurants around it

The motel has been going through many improvements. The room was clean, and the grounds were well-kept with fire pits and lawn chairs in different areas for guests to use. Ashtrays and benches were supplied for smokers as there is no smoking in the rooms. My only suggestion is for coffee makers, sugar, and creamer be supplied for a morning coffee.

Was almost $300.00 and there wasn't even coffee in the room.
