L’hotel Mercure di Cherbourg è posizionato sulla marina del porto dotato di parcheggio privato è molto vicino al centro della città, e a pochi minuti di macchina o 15 minuti a piedi dalla Citè de Mer. Ho apprezzato l’architettura moderna, le camere nuove, silenziose e molto spaziose con tavolo e sedie, la vista sul porto con tramonti imperdibili. Il prezzo è eccezionale per la qualità dell’albergo. Consigliatissimo se ci si deve fermare a Cherbourg, dove non dormirei altrove.

Modern hotel, rooms well appointed. A short walk from the town centre, and a large shopping centre right next door.car parking is secure and free. Staff were very welcoming. Would recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Cherbourg area and is about 6 minute drive from the ferry terminal too.

Choose this hotel as a stop overnight stop, before boarding our ferry back to England. Beautiful clean modern hotel. We had dinner at the hotel great food. Staff nice, we did have to find a staff for a drink at the bar. I notice a few people waiting at the bar and walked away because there was no bar staff.

Ausgesprochen guter Service beim Check in und Check out Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einem tollen Ausblick auf den Hafen. Wenig erfreulich war unser Besuch in der Bar. Schon ein Blick auf die Ausgestellten Spirituosen zeigt, dass das Hotel auf das Thema Bar keinen großen Wert legt. So fielen auch die Cocktails 🍸 aus und der Service passte sich dem niedrigen Niveau an.

Very convenient to the Brittany Ferry terminal. Extremely clean and comfortable rooms. We ordered the room service breakfast which was all cold foods and nothing special. Restaurant was ok, tiny portions and flavorless. I would definitely go elsewhere for food and drinks.

Très bon séjour au Mercure Cherbourg. Pour la situation : L'hôtel est à 10 minutes à pied de la Gare SNCF et à 15 minutes à pied de la Cité de la Mer. En face de l'hôtel, il y a un Centre Commercial. Pour l'hôtel en lui-même : Le personnel est très aimable. Le Buffet petit-déjeuner est bien fourni ! La chambre est bien équipée et la literie très confortable. Tout était très propre. L'établissement est situé dans un quartier calme et à proximité du centre-ville. C'est un très bel hôtel que je recommande !

It was just ok. Not an amazing place as the 9.4 rating would suggest. Room was clean and comfortable and location is extremely convenient if you're getting the ferry. I'd recommend the hotel but I wouldn't say it was amazing.

We stayed in Cherbourg before a ferry home after a 2 week tour of Brittany. The hotel is new and clean, staff friendly and helpful. We had a large room on the 6th floor overlooking the harbour so we could see all of the comings and goings of the fishing boats. We didn't use the hotel restaurant as there were quite a few seafood restaurants along the harbour. The ferry terminal is about 5 mins drive away so it's a good stop if you're here to catch a ferry but sadly Cherbourg itself isn't worth a visit

This is a brand new hotel but with a major flaw in the design: huge expanses of glass in every direction meaning that on a hot day it gets very hot inside. I can see the attraction of making the most of the views, although why it needed a scenic lift facing the rear and the most drab view of car parks and buildings is beyond me, but this is really the worst example of bad design, totally unsuited to raising temperatures. Even with the aircon on you have to close all curtains when the sun hits the windows. Otherwise a standard modern hotel. Very helpful staff, particularly at reception where they make sure they warn you about the scenic lift which might take people with vertigo by surprise.

Zeer mooie kamer met mooi uitzicht. Alleen niet erg verduisterd. Airco bediening scherm bleef ook heel de nacht licht uitstralen. Airco deed het ook niet erg best. Eten was heerlijk, maar iets wat weinig. En persooneel leek totaal onvoorbereid op de komst van gasten. Des ondanks deden ze erg hun best en waren ze erg aardig. Aanrader dit hotel.

Très bon séjour au Mercure Cherbourg. Pour la situation : L'hôtel est à 10 minutes à pied de la Gare SNCF et à 15 minutes à pied de la Cité de la Mer. En face de l'hôtel, il y a un Centre Commercial. Pour l'hôtel en lui-même : Le personnel est très aimable. Le Buffet petit-déjeuner est bien fourni ! La chambre est bien équipée et la literie très confortable. Tout était très propre. L'établissement est situé dans un quartier calme et à proximité du centre-ville. C'est un très bel hôtel que je recommande !

Très bel hôtel, récent et donc très bon état général. Personnel très poli et accueillant ce qui est agréable. La literie est top, la vue mer et sur le port géniale. Quasiment que du positif sauf: Le checkout ou une personne seule pour un départ de week-end de 3 jours avec touts les terminaux de paiement en panne. Il aurait fallu quelqu’un qui la seconde pour ce rush et aider à la remise au point des terminaux. Et le petit-déjeuner qui a la fois excellent en termes d’offres produits et gentillesse du personnel mais avec, la aussi, un gros problème pour gérer les rush aux horaires de pointe. Bilan, énormément de rupture (je pense 30 a 40% des produits le deuxième jour du séjour) et bien que 10/12 minutes plus tard ce soit à peu près rempli en produits, la vague des ruptures a fait que notre pdj et ceux de nombreux autres clients s’en plaignant autour de nous était passée. Bref, il faudrait anticiper la rupture pour ne pas la subir. Donc au global content du séjour mais avec de vrais bémols.

Das Beste kommt zum Schluss: da es für uns Fußgänger kein Taxi zum Ferry-Terminal zu geben drohte, bot Mme La Directrice an uns in ihrem privaten PKW dorthin zu chauffieren. Wurde schließlich nicht benötigt, da es der freundlichen Mitarbeiterin am Desk gelang, ein Taxi zu organisieren. Das ist kundenorientiert gehandelt. Merci, Mesdames!

Choose this hotel as a stop overnight stop, before boarding our ferry back to England. Beautiful clean modern hotel. We had dinner at the hotel great food. Staff nice, we did have to find a staff for a drink at the bar. I notice a few people waiting at the bar and walked away because there was no bar staff.

Ausgesprochen guter Service beim Check in und Check out Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einem tollen Ausblick auf den Hafen. Wenig erfreulich war unser Besuch in der Bar. Schon ein Blick auf die Ausgestellten Spirituosen zeigt, dass das Hotel auf das Thema Bar keinen großen Wert legt. So fielen auch die Cocktails 🍸 aus und der Service passte sich dem niedrigen Niveau an.

We stayed in Cherbourg before a ferry home after a 2 week tour of Brittany. The hotel is new and clean, staff friendly and helpful. We had a large room on the 6th floor overlooking the harbour so we could see all of the comings and goings of the fishing boats. We didn't use the hotel restaurant as there were quite a few seafood restaurants along the harbour. The ferry terminal is about 5 mins drive away so it's a good stop if you're here to catch a ferry but sadly Cherbourg itself isn't worth a visit

Modern hotel, rooms well appointed. A short walk from the town centre, and a large shopping centre right next door.car parking is secure and free. Staff were very welcoming. Would recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Cherbourg area and is about 6 minute drive from the ferry terminal too.

Very convenient to the Brittany Ferry terminal. Extremely clean and comfortable rooms. We ordered the room service breakfast which was all cold foods and nothing special. Restaurant was ok, tiny portions and flavorless. I would definitely go elsewhere for food and drinks.

nous avons passé un excellent weekend à Cherbourg nous avions choisi l hotel Mercure pour son emplacement pas déçus du tout A tout point de vue tout était très bien, accueil et prestations peut être un tout petit bémol pour le petit déjeuner, très copieux car il ne manque rien mais un peu cher pour les petits appétits du matin

We stayed at the Mercure Hotel Cherbourg for one night and, overall, had a very pleasant stay. Check-in was quick and efficient, and we received a warm, friendly welcome from the staff. The hotel's location is excellent, and our room was spacious, clean, quiet, and had very comfortable beds, making for a great night's sleep. The only disappointing part of our stay was lunch in the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was fairly average, and the food was well below the standard we expected. I ordered the chicken focaccia with fries, and it was honestly the worst hotel lunch I've had. The sandwich appeared to have come straight from the fridge, with very cold bread and wilted salad leaves. Most disappointing was the chicken, which consisted of brown leg meat containing pieces of cartilage and bone. It was not enjoyable, I didn't eat it (staff did not enquire as to why) and certainly didn't reflect the quality of the hotel itself. Despite this, we would happily stay at the hotel again, but we would choose to eat elsewhere next time.

La baignoire de la salle de bain était étroite donc pas pu prendre un bain de plus un tapis anti dérapant aurait été bienvenue car baignoire très glissante, une poignée aurait apprécié pour descendre de la baignoire car elle etait haute pour l’enjamber et la descente. Et le lit simple était aussi étroit pour une personne adulte. Quand à la fenêtre de la chambre qui s'ouvrait à peine je comprends les raisons de sécurité mais dommage pour avoir de l'air c'était compliqué sinon le reste très bien

La baignoire de la salle de bain était étroite donc pas pu prendre un bain de plus un tapis anti dérapant aurait été bienvenue car baignoire très glissante, une poignée aurait apprécié pour descendre de la baignoire car elle etait haute pour l’enjamber et la descente.
