On January 23, 2025, I stayed at the Jinjiang Inn in Ortigas Center for two nights before visiting my family in Legazpi City. Before leaving, I asked the front desk, where Patrick assured me my luggage would be securely stored, and he gave me a claim stub for retrieval. When I returned on February 5, 2025, I presented the claim stub, but Patrick and another staff member claimed that "my friend" had picked up my luggage on January 25. Shocked, I insisted that no one had collected it, as I still had the stub. They then admitted that their story didn't hold up, suggesting that CCTV footage showed a woman with four Hungarian visitors mistakenly taking my luggage. After expressing my frustration and warning them about contacting the media and my lawyer, their story shifted again. Patrick claimed the woman was his friend and that my luggage would be delivered back to the hotel. However, when I requested tracking updates for the delivery, they declined. After waiting over two hours, my luggage was finally returned. The entire experience felt like a setup, and I feared losing my belongings if I hadn't been assertive. When I asked for a report on the incident, the manager, Sherry, refused, saying no report would be issued since the issue was resolved. I warn you, especially those traveling from abroad, about this hotel and reconsider staying somewhere else to prevent similar experiences.
